Insert Blank row After every Row in alv report
How to insert blank row After every row in Alv report
what do you mean by a 'blank row'? ALV displays tabular data with 'any' number of columns. Now if you actually want a blank row (no columns at all, just a row), then that is just not possible. If I'm not mistaken, this question was posted before, so try to do a search on SCN. See what is says.

Totals after every group of rows - formating help
Hi,
What I need is to make the cells darker where the totals are after every group of rows. How do I do that?
Also, I'm trying to remove the fact that they're merged cells for downloading to Excel (on another report for further analytics).
Ex: a group of rows show multiple opportunities for an account. The Total NSR value (Revenue) for all the rows for the one Account is displayed after the rows and I don't want this on one of our reports.
Thanks,
AnitaAre you talking about some pre-built report or a custom report you have created?

I am able to create a delimited output.But the prob is it contains an additional report header for every row of the report and this is very strange.Its coming like that
Empno Ename Job 7566 JONES MANAGER
Empno Ename Job 7902 FORD ANALYST
I need the Xls o/p like that
Empno Ename Job
7566 JONES MANAGER
7902 FORD ANALYST
8877 JAMES SALES
my Environment oracle9i developersuite /forms9i/reports9i
I have given DESFORMAT = DELIMITED
MODE = CHARACTER
I am able to generate the reports in html/HTMLCSSIE/HTMLCSS/PDF/RTF
Only delimited is giving problem
What should i do to resolve this issue. Please help me it is very very urgent for me.
Thanks in advance
Pavendhan.NI had the same problem and this is what I did, works great. You have the total control.
function BeforeReport return boolean is
fp text_io.file_type;
begin
-- creating a file name
:CP_filename := 'C:\Gap'||to_char(sysdate,'MMDDYYHHMISS')||'.csv';
-- Opening the file in write mode
fp := text_io.fopen(:CP_filename,'w');
-- writing the column headings into the file
text_io.put_line(fp,'"Platform","Sys#","GapType",');
text_io.fclose(fp);
return (TRUE);
end;
and then where ever it is suitable, depending on the requirement, write into file by opening it in the append mode.
function R_G_systemplatformFormatTrigge return boolean is
fp text_io.file_type;
begin
-- srw.message(99,:dname);
fp := text_io.fopen(:CP_filename,'a');
text_io.put(fp,'"' || :systemplatform || '",');
text_io.put(fp,'"' || to_char(:sysno) || '",');
text_io.put_line(fp,'"' || :CF_gaptype || '",');
text_io.fclose(fp);
return (TRUE);
end;
This works great. Hope this helps. -
OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2 BP1 - Excel Export every 300 row corrupt
Hi
I'm facing an issue which looks like a bug. Some reports are corrupt after export to excel.
When I remove all Header-Rows from this reports in excel then always row number 301, 601, 901... are concerned. In these rows the content of the first cells is deleted.
Has anyone discovered the same error? Otherwise I have to open a call by oracle.
RegardsHi folks,
I've been the same problem to export table on excel.
It's interesting, because it is a pattern of blank rows. For sure, it is a bug
I looked for on supporte.oracle and found a patch "Download and apply patch 14013626 for OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0 or OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2. The only operating system currently for this patch is 64-bit Windows.".
However, this patch only works on 64-bit windows.
Does someone know another way to fix this bug for linux? -
I'm getting probelms with the following procedure. Is there any that I can do to commit after every 10,000 rows of deletion? Or is there any other alternative! The DBAs are not willing to increase the undo tablespace value!
create or replace procedure delete_rows(v_days number)
is
l_sql_stmt varchar2(32767) := 'DELETE TABLE_NAME WHERE ROWID IN (SELECT ROWID FROM TABLE_NAME W
where_cond VARCHAR2(32767);
begin
where_cond := 'DATE_THRESHOLD < (sysdate - '|| v_days ||' )) ';
l_sql_stmt := l_sql_stmt ||where_cond;
IF v_days IS NOT NULL THEN
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE l_sql_stmt;
END IF;
end;I think I can use cursors and for every 10,000 %ROWCOUNT, I can commit, but even before posting the thread, I feel i will get bounces! ;-)
Please help me out in this!
Cheers

Save spreadsheet data to every row
I have developed a vi that acquires information from sensors that measure pollution levels from vehicle emissions. i whish to save all the recorded data as a spreadsheet for this I am using write characters to file.vi as the method of saving my data, however when I open the spreadsheet the data is not written to every row instead it is written to every other row. Can anybody shed any light on why this might be happening. (See DATARECORD.csv)
I have attached

VEEMOS1.llb 768 KBTry setting the format string input to the array to spreadsheet primitive to "%s" instead of an empty string.
As a side note, the write characters to file VI opens the file, writes the characters, then closes the file. This is very inefficient to do inside a loop. Consider opening the file before the loop and closing afterwards. Pass the references in with shift registers. You can find the VIs to do this by simply opening the write characters to file VI and copying the contents to the appropriate places in your VI.

Upgraded to Lion. Numbers is stalling to auto save after every keystroke. Isn’t auto save supposed to run in the background?
It's supposed to save when the processor isn't triggered by the user. If you type slowly, time between two strokes may be sufficient to allow it to start the save process.

Classic report - Condition evaluated for every row
APEX 4.2.2
I am seeing something strange in a classic report region. A report started to fail at run-time with a strange error about bad syntax. When I run the page in debug mode, I see the following
print column headings
rows loop: 30 row(s)
...Execute Statement: begin wwv_flow.g_boolean := '' is not null;
end;
......Result = false
...Execute Statement: begin wwv_flow.g_boolean := '' is not null;
end;
......Result = false
...Execute Statement: begin wwv_flow.g_boolean := 'string with a embedded ' single quote' is not null;
end;
......Result = true
Looks like the APEX engine is evaluating a boolean expression after rendering and each and every row in the report. And for some strange reason, it is using a piece of data from my query's resultset and failing because of the bad syntax introduced due to the single-quote in the string.
I have never seen this before. Any idea what is going on?
ThanksHowdy Paul, sorry should have provided all the details. No, this is a standard generic column template. Ah, you are right, drat I should have looked closer. The template has use a condition to show either a highlighted row or normal one. Sorry for the false alarm, I can take it from here. Enjoy your flight :-)

How to write a cursor to check every row of a table which has millions of rows
Hello every one.
I need help. please... Below is the script (sample data), You can run directly on sql server management studio.
Here we need to update PPTA_Status column in Donation table. There WILL BE 3 statuses, A1, A2 and Q.
Here we need to update PPTA_status of January month donations only. We need to write a cursor. Here as this is a sample data we have only some donations (rows), but in the real table we have millions of rows. Need to check every row.
If i run the cursor for January, cursor should take every row, row by row all the rows of January.
we have donations in don_sample table, i need to check the test_results in the result_sample table for that donations and needs to update PPTA_status COLUMN.
We need to check all the donations of January month one by one. For every donation, we need to check for the 2 previous donations. For the previous donations, we need to in the following way. check
If we want to find previous donations of a donation, first look for the donor of that donation, then we can find previous donations of that donor. Like this we need to check for 2 previous donations.
If there are 2 previous donations and if they have test results, we need to update PPTA_STATUS column of this donatioh as 'Q'.
If 2 previous donation_numbers has test_code column in result_sample table as (9,10,11) values, then it means those donations has result.
BWX72 donor in the sample data I gave is example of above scenario
For the donation we are checking, if it has only 1 previous donation and it has a result in result_sample table, then set this donation Status as A2, after checking the result of this donation also.
ZBW24 donor in the sample data I gave is example of above scenario
For the donation we are checking, if it has only 1 previous donation and it DO NOT have a result in result_sample table, then set this donation Status as A1. after checking the result of this donation also.
PGH56 donor in the sample data I gave is example of above scenario
like this we need to check all the donations in don_sample table, it has millions of rows per every month.
we need to join don_sample and result_sample by donation_number. And we need to check for test_code column for result.

Both approaches below avoid needing the cursor at all. (There was part of your explanation I didn't understand fully, but I think these suggestions work regardless)
Here's a SQL 2012 answer, using LAG() to lookup the previous 1 and 2 donation codes by Donor: (EDIT: I overlooked a couple things in this post: please refer to my follow-up post for the final/fixed answer. I'm leaving this post with my overlooked

Update Button for every Row of Report
hello,
is it possible to get an update button for every row of a report?
After clicking this button, only this row of the report should be updated.
thanks in advance
daveCreate a hidden item on your page. Call it somehow - P1_KEY. Create other hidden fields
for the rest of the columns you want to update. Create a link per report line. This link will be
inserting the primary key of your record into P1_KEY and the other values you want to
update in the other hidden fields. It will branch to the same page and contain a request - i.e. UPDATE_ROW. Then
you create a process - On Load Before Header - which will
take the value from your item P1_KEY and update the record
in the database by setting the the column values to the
values in your hidden fields. This process will fire upon
request you specified. However, this way you will not be
able to update your text areas, since you will not be able
to transfer this over a link. Also you need to be carefull
about special characters.
Maybe there is a better proposal than this.

Download to Excel is hiding rows in a pivot view
Hello ,
When downloading a report to excel from OBIEE Dashboard , certain rows are getting hidden . For instance , I have total 15 rows in my pivot view and when I download that report into excel format , the rows from 8-13 are not showing up . After 7th row I see 14th row .
But when I download the same report from Answers I can see all rows in the pivot view .
I tried looking at the formatting options of the pivot view and everything is normal . This is happening only with this particular report , other reports in dashboard download normally .
Please let me know if anybody has ideas .
Thank you
Karthikkarthik,
From where ur downloading to excel ...use the download option available at "preview " button ,if you are using the same go with report links download button option
Last option create a new report (without any filters in case if u have)
Thanks,

SSRS 2008 R2 - Missing Data when Exporting to Excel or CSV (Row Count is 500)
Hey Folks,
When exporting SSRS 2008 R2 report to an csv or excel file not all the rows are being exported. Any suggestions on why this is occurring. The number of rows is less then 500 and it seems to be a pretty straight forward export. Any help is
greatly appreciated. Inherited this and not sure if this would be configuration issues or something else. It is happening on a number of reports.
Thanks.Hi Humbly,
According to your description, when you export report into CSV or Excel format, some rows are missing.
In your scenario, since you are missing data “rows” in your exported file, we are guessing if you have any visibility setting like toggle which hide those records. It’s possible that you have set toggle or visibility in your report. After exporting
Excel/CSV, some data might not appear properly. In SSRS 2008 R2, it has reported this kind of issue about data missing after exporting. However, those scenarios are not exactly same as your issue. It mostly turns out be conflict between data and “layout render”
and related to DataElementOutput property. DataElementOutput property controls export behavior, it indicates which report item data should appear in Excel/CSV render. For more information, please refer to this article: Reporting Services:
Why aren’t all my report columns exporting to CSV and/or XML?.
As we tested in our environment(SSRS 2008 R2), no matter what we export into CSV or Excel, we get same results as in BIDS . So I would like to know your report design structure. If possible, please provide some screenshots about results in BIDS and Excel/CSV
render extension results. It may help us find out the root cause of your issue. Thank you.
Best regards,
Qiuyun Yu -
