Save the input data of single WD4A screen

Hi All,
I am interested to know, whether as in the case of the ABAP report screen where we can save the input data as variant, is it possible for us to save all the input fields into a variant in WD4A.

How to save the form data into adobe db?
I have designed one xdp file.
Through processFormSubmission(), I got the submitted form data as Document obj.
Then I have called the workflow kickoff program.
code:

It successfulyy started the workflow, but the submitted form data is not saved anywhere.
And also, How get the form data from tables?

You need to create a process variable of type IN if you want to be able to pass data to your process. Then the params parameter (HashMap) contains a list of all the IN variables with their content that you want to pass to your process. They key is the name of the variable and the value the content. That way you should get it in your process.
Now LiveCycle will create a column in the database for every process variable, so the content will be saved in the database just by creating that process variable.

I want to use Get Panel Image in Labview 5.0.1 and need details on how to save the BMP data generated

I am trying to generate an application that saves a copy of its front panel on completion. This is easy to do using an invoke node with Print VI to HTML but this does not work in an .exe format. I have seen elsewhere that you have to use the Get Panel Image method, but no details are supplied in LV 5.0.1 documentation of how to use the "image" data (1-D Unsigned Byte array) that is generated. I want to save this in a format that can then be read as a bitmap in any standard graphics package. Any assistance?

If you'd upgrade to LV5.1 or 6 you could use the 'standard' vi's for this.
You need a VI called "Write BMP File.vi". It's not shipped with LV5.0.1.
This vi only uses 3 subVI's, so perhaps someone at NI can convert it and
send it to you (sorry, I won't, it's copywrited).
If you cannot get this VI anywhere, you'll need to figure out the BMP file
format yourself. It's not too complicated, but still could take some days.
Perhaps someone figured it out before LV5.1 was released.

Adobe Reader XI did not save the form data (unlike previous versions). Any way to recover file?

Adobe Reader XI did not save the form data (unlike previous versions). Any way to recover filled form with data from temp locations?
I was not aware that ctrl+s no longer works in reader and closed the PDF after savign it(with ctrl+s). However ,the data is lost and there seems to be no way to recover it.
I cannot find any temp files created by Reader on my system.
Also to my surprize(and shock), the reader did not even show a warning before closing the PDF. Does anybody know if/where can I recover the file from?

Are you using Adobe Reader XI? And not Acrobat. It does not ask me to save the form if there are unsaved changes.
I have used previous versions of reader for saving this form data and it did allow me to save it with ctrl+s. And those versions did prompt me to save the changes before closing.
I guess I should not have updated the reader.

Sorry, there is no way to extract this wallpaper. Your best option is to take a screen shot & that will save to your camera roll.

How to get the input data on the arbitrary draw event ?

I'm trying to draw a histogram on a arbitrary parameter (just like the "Levels" effect). The draw part is well, but I have a problem with the input layer data (param[0]).
All I have to do now is read the input data on the arbitrary draw event. But there's not the input pointer on the draw event. So I called the PF_CHECKOUT_PARAM() function to get the input data, and it works!
When I test in AE, I created a layer A, and added some color correction effects to the layer A before added my effect to the layer A. The problem is the input layer my effect read is not the result of previous effects I applied before.
Has anyway to read the latest input data in the arbitrary events ?

In another way, I created a sequence data like this:

my_sequence_data.histograms is an array with in_data->total_time / in_data->time_step items initialized during the sequence setup.
During the render call, I cached the calculated histogram at this current_time to the sequence->histograms[in_data->current_time / in_data->time_step], set the didRender = true.
In this way, I have another problem with the AE cached image. I disabled a random previous effect on the effect panel, then the AE re-rendered my effect, the histogram changed (good). I enabled the effect again, and nothing change (bad )
I try to force the AE re-rendering after the custom UI changed ( I tried with the event_extraP->evt_out_flags = PF_EO_HANDLED_EVENT; and params[HISTOGRAM_UI]->uu.change_flags |= PF_ChangeFlag_CHANGED_VALUE; on the click, drag events...) but it seem not works!
Am I on the right way ?

Save the session data in the database !

Hello everybody,
I read an article on JavaWorld website about saving the session data of an application in the database instead of mantaing them in memory.
In this way, the web application is more scalable and in case the application server crashed the session data can be taken by another application server.
I was sure that this was a good motivation of writing a class to save the session data of my application in the database, but i read another article where a good methodology to
create a scalable web application was to save the session data in more application server so if one application server crashed another application server can take the control of the entire application.
I think that at the moment i have just a bit of confusion in my mind.
Any suggestion ?

What you've read was a method of "load balancing" where "state" is maintained by a backend server instead of the web servers themselves. Yes, if done properly, this would achive true web server independance, and if one crashed, another would pick up where it left off. Of course, you'll still need an HTTP load balancer in front of the web server farm, so it can dynamically shift the load.
From an architecture standpoint, it's a good way to go, but only IF you really need 7x24 with zero downtime. Reason being twofold. 1) It's a huge performance hit, becase each GET/POST requires a trip to the DB, because it's holding state. 2) It's a lot of work, because you're now taking on the role of "managing" sessions (e.g. when to expire, reading the cookie/URL for session IDs.
I was once responsible for a 7x24 Intranet that ran core business applications. My service level agreement with my customers was 7x24 alright, but with the risk of a possible "blip" (meaning, if one server crashed, simply reconnect and continue your work). Worst case, one lost just that one page worth of work.

did you import this two classes in your UDF ? java.text.* and java.util.*
In case you did but the program is still not working I just wrote a code without imports. See if this might help. I have tested this with all type of data please test again from your end. I have assumed that if three dates are equal the function return true. I am not sure whether you wanted to exclude the boundary dates. In case you want to exclude those dates just replace '<=' with '<' symbol. The code could have been smarter but in short time I thought this might help.

Ex: this is sample date but , total records in DB around 2000.

Save user input data

I would like the ability to have a settings screen and allow the user to enter parameters. These parameters need to be saved even when the program (VI) is shut down. As an example I made a quick simple program, Sample test 1.vi. Here there is input data, amplitude, a maximum setting and a minimum setting. I would like the user to be able to set the settings (maximum and minimum) to the desired level, run the program, stop the program, shut down the program. Upon restarting the program the settings should be at the last entered value. Any ideas or assistance is appreciated. Thanks,Brian

Look through the example VIs that ship with LabVIEW. They have examples on working with ini files. I have included an example of the VIs that we use for our applications as well.

XSD for the input file for GTS offline screening program

Hi Friends,
We are running some performance tests for our current project to evaluate how much time the offline screening program (report "/SAPSLL/SPL_OFFLINE_SCREENING") takes in GTS. This report expects the customers in an XML format - would you know where I can get the definition of this expected XML format (e.g. the XSD for this input file)?
Can some one help me to provide response XML definition of what GTS generates for the SPL check ?

1. Prepare an XML file with Adress data
-> you can create a simple excel file that has to be converted into an

2. Upload the local file to GTS for SPL Screening
3. Examine the SPL screening results in GTS

How i can to create a vi, which read from configuration file and i could modify this indicator and save the config data??

I have in my application a subvi which i use to save the configuration of application. I create one file with the last saved configuration, and i would like to open this values and that i could to modify this indicator value, but i cant since to modify i need 'numeric control' and to read the data from file i need 'numeric indicator '...
I thought, use a numeric control and use the values from file to the default values, but i didnt get to find the property node to adjust it. is it possible? or any different way to get it....??
Also, i attached the capture file.. i would like the program DOESNT SHOW the question of
replace the file!!. i would like directly replace the file when i push save.

Your 'write to sreadshhet mod' suprime the dialog of replace file or not!, i want when i push save, it show the dialog input name of file and show the default sim000 but when i push this sim000 and this file already exist, then show the dialog to replace or not, if i replace Ok not problem, but when i push cancel replace it shows error eof!!!.
Your file, only remove this dialog and only replace the file directly.
i put the capture, when i choose the file to save and the program say to me this file exist and it give me the option of replace or not,i want when i push cancel replace it continues running without get error.
is it possible?.

Change the input parameter in Check Status screen

Hi,
I have a requirment to change the input parameter option in the check status screen. Currently when we search the SC using the date and staus from the extended search it picks the SC created date and displays the SC, my requirement is to make the date as the approved date insted of SC created date with the status as aprpoved.
Please suggest if this is possible with the help of any Badi.

How to save the retrieved data in a subscreen...

Hi,
I understand that the subscreen has to be created in transaction se51. However, i dont have any idea how to use it and incorporate it in my main program.
Im trying to figure out how to place all the data retrieved in a subscreen where the user has an option to remove files that are not necessary.
For example:
The user enters a single transfer order, multiple transfer order, or a range of transfer orders. Retrieve transfer order number (TANUM), transfer order item (TAPOS), TO quantity (VSOLM), and Material Number (MATNR) from table LTAP where field tanum = transfer order. If no data is retrieved, an error message will prompt the user to enter a valid transfer order.(<-- I already coded this part)
***The data retrieved will be placed in a sub-screen where the user has an option to remove files not needed to be printed. (<--i havent started this one)
Kindly provide me a sample code or a step by step process. I would really appreacite your help.

Because this is the forum for Samples and Downloads it is not really clear what you are doing. Do you develop an ABAP Dynpro, a BSP or a Web Dynpro?
I think the chance of an answer is much bigger if you post your question in the ABAP/BSP or Web Dynpro Forum.
