Saving a frame imovie11

The easiest way to save a frame from imovie11 is to run the movie on full  screen and take a  screen shot  pressing the "Apple", "Shift" and "3" whenever you wan to get that specific  picture frame. then  with  iphoto  you can crop  the Picture to your likings.

Here's a search of the forums for the words 'save' and 'image' in the title. I bet there's some good links and code in therehttp://onesearch.sun.com/search/developers/index.jsp?and=save+image&nh=10&field=title&col=devforums

  • Saving a Frame

    How do I save a particular frame (there are a couple of seconds worth that are OK) from an online video? I tried Control plus Click several times directly on the video and next to it. I am able to print the frame, but cannot save it. Onetime a Save choice came up and I successfully saved that frame. But, I cannot duplicate whatever I did.

    I remembered finally: ControlOptionClick (outside of frame)

  • Gifs saving as frames instead of animations

    When I try to save a gif from anywhere on the internet, it keeps saving as a single frame, and when I open the file, I can then see all the frames in the animation. I have tried dragging the image directly into the folder and by saving as. The file extension is always .gif, so I can't figure out why it's not saving as an animation. Thanks!!

    All the frames are there. You need to play it,  maybe QuickTime or preview QuickLook.  Some mail clients will play animated gifs. Otherwise you have to view it in a browser (GUI.)  Fact is try dragging it into a browser window to view!

  • Saving current frame in flash

    Hi everyone,
    Any help would be really appreciated. I'm a web developer,
    normally in php, and I'm making a flash based app that allows
    people to upload a photo of themself, print, email and save it. I
    can do print with no issues, but saving files is really being a
    sticking point. I want them to be able to save the current frame as
    a jpeg or bmp.
    Does anyone know anything about this? If it's even possible?
    Thanks a lot in advance
    Paul

    Thanks.
    Essentially, what I'm trying to do is record which object the user clicks, where he drops it (within the grid), how long it takes, etc. Currently, I'm just using the "trace" command alongwith the flash debugger to write it to a text file. However, using the debugger is not really conducive in the long run. Ideally, I'd just like to write the data to a text file in the form of name variable pairs that could be read by statistical packages like Excel or SPSS.
    I've created the interactive grid but am stuck on the data part. I don't really need the application to re-read the data once the user finishes, so using "shared objects" may not be ideal.
    Any suggestions?

  • After saving, certain frames disappear.

    With CS5.5 on OSX, after saving a file and reopening it, certain frames (and their artwork) end up missing, i.e. aren't saved with the rest of the file. This happens with random frames. Other artwork, created after these frames, is still there. Anyone else run into this problem?

    Hi Mark,
    In the Flash Help menu, please click on Updates. The Flash CS5.5 updater fixes some issues similar to what you're describing. Once you're done updating the version number in the About Box should show 11.5.1.349.

  • Flash CS5.5 - not saving all frames in symbols?

    Hi,
    We have a problem where our Flash CS5.5  (mac) does not save all of the frames in a symbol? For example, we animate a walk in a symbol, the symbol is a 'grahpic'. We make a keyframe and reference frame 5 in the walk. Save the project. When we re-open the project there is no 'frame 5' - its blank and so the stage shows the symbol referencing nothing!
    If anyone can help that would be amazing, its been happening for months and we have yet to find anyone online who has the same problem,
    Thanks!
    Garth

    We're having the same issue on our project. My coworker is using Windows though, but it's selectively not saving all the frames in a graphic on his laptop. It has severely destroyed our progress on this project now and we're livid. I wish I could help, but I'm searching for a solution as well.
    He's been saving to his Dropbox account, we're going to see if that has anything to do with it, like it's syncing with an older version of the file somehow.

  • Saving one frame at a time?

    Cheers!
    I am using Low-level Grab Raw Data.vi example from NI-IMAQ. I want to save one frame at a time and then set the file position to end (and maybe add some mark that I recognize where the next frame begins). I know that it copies the raw data of the specified frame into Image Data Array. But does it write (in this example) data of one frame to disk and then set file position to end? If not, how to modify it?
    How does changing number of buffer affect? I mean if I increase it >1 does it affect to number of frames to write per one iteration time of while loop?
    I have Pixelink PL-B741F-BL camera. http://www.pixelink.com/products_info.asp?productcode=PL-B741F-BL&f-category=CMOS%20Imaging%20Module...
    Kudos for good help!

    LH,
    You may (you can see Groups in the Layers palette with the layer expanded):
    1) Ctrl/Cmd+A to select everything and Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+G to Ungroup ;
    2) ShiftClick the circle to deselect it; if it is still a Group (all of its own), Ungroup again;
    3) With the Centre Reference Point ticked in the Transform palette multiply the W or H value by 1.1 (just add *1.1 in the box) and Ctrl/CmdEnter to keep proportions (this is to make sure that they are long enough);
    4) Ctrl/Cmd+A to select everything again and Pathfinder>Divide (this will make pie pieces);
    5) Drag over the centre with the Direct Selection Tool and press Delete (this will rid you of the inner parts of the pie pieces so you just have the outer rim in pieces).
    This should give you the 30 independent curved lines forming the circle, two of them with an extra (original) Anchor Point.

  • How do I create a hyperlink that will open a new window, when saving a frame file as a pdf?

    I have created a hyper link in Frame using the message URL command in the marker window. I have added the target="_blank"  command after the http url within the marker. But when I then save the frame doc as a pdf and open that pdf from within a browser, when I click on the link in that pdf, it goes to the new link but it does not open in a new window or tab.
    What am I doing wrong?
    I should mention that I am using Frame 10.

    Best solution that I can find to tell you is to get Schlomo Perets' FrameMaker-to-Acrobat TimeSavers 5.0. From the FrameUsers mailing list:
    Schlomo Perets said:
    In FrameMaker-to-Acrobat TimeSavers 5.0, the "new window" link control was extended to optionally display web-based links in a new browser window (Links/General tab, Cross-file links: Open PDF in a new window, Also apply to web links).
    The function can apply to all web links (i.e. no need to modify anything in the FrameMaker file), or to individual links (in which case a special hypertext marker has to be used instead of the standard "message URL http://..." marker).

  • Saving a frame to a jpeg file

    I saw some previous questions with no solution on this topic and wonder if anyone has found the method? iMovie help is silent on this topic. I ended up using iMovie HD, but surely there is a method for the new program?

    There's an application on your Mac called Grab (Applications>Utilities). You can use this to grab stills from your video. I prefer to use a short-cut method though - hold down together the Command>Shift>4 keys and the cursor changes to a cross-hair. Drag from one corner diagonally to the other - when the mouse button is released a still (.png format)will be saved to your Desktop.
    It's best to do this in Full-screen mode. It's also easier if you set the full-screen preference to "Actual Size" rather than "Entire Screen" unless you want a really high resolution picture. In iMovie's menu go to iMovie>Preferences and adjust the setting for "Full-screen playback" there.
    I get excellent results using this process - as good as I was getting (or better) than jpegs generated from iMovie '09. I fine tune the stills in iPhoto.

  • Saving a frame as a photo?

    Is this the best way to do it?
    Playhead over frame then select Share>Save Current Frame etc.
    The resulting photo needs deinterlacing in Photoshop.
    Is there any way of deinterlacing it in FCP X to save opening PS?

    Try this:
    In the Timeline select your clip, open the Inspector (command+4),
    open the Info Tab, at the bottom click on Basic View...etc. and change to Settings View,
    change Field Dominance Override to Upper First or Lower First.

  • Saving a Frame in Video

    Hello,
    I am trying to save a particular frame on a video viewed using iTunes. I am able to pause at the correct frame, but I cannot save the image.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Kristen L.

    Hello Tezz,
    HDD camcorders all record in MPEG format, which is not accepted by iMovie. That means all footage has to be converted before importing.
    On the other hand, the MPEG files should play in Quicktime Pro if you have the MPEG Playback Component installed. From there it should be possible to save screenshots in either JPEG or PICT format.
    Concerning low-light shooting, cameras featuring a single CCD will always be a bit penalized. If you want to shoot good footage in low light conditions, it's better to get a 3CCD camera, but also in that field there's big differences concerning pic quality.
    On the other hand proper lighting may improve the shots by 100% - even with a consumer camcorder.
    hope this helps

  • Need help on saving single frame animation as avi

    i am new in flash. any one can help me on how to save single frame animation as avi movie?
    the default export setting gives a movie with no length....
    thanks

    This is I got when google it:
    you mean your trying to export a flash animation as an avi and your using movieclips???
    if this is your case i have a very simple solution export it as a swf,  now import that swf into a new file and export it as an avi all should  be good.
    The reason why flash doesnt export movie clips is because it has its own  time and if your going to use a flash animation for video it should  have only one timeline alone thats why movieclips dont work when you  export it as an avi.
    Now the reason why this works is because when you import the swf all teh  animation are in the maintimeline so do it and post back your results  good luck
    Hope it helps

  • Saving anchored frame as a style?

    Framemaker 7.1
    I would like to save an anchored frame as a style or paragraph format or? so all frames are the same size. Alternately, I could select all frames, if there is a way, and change all their sizes at once if that is possible.
    Do I have any options to do this?
    Thanks.
    ~Bob

    One other possibility if you're so inclined would be to save the file as MIF and use a grep (search and replace scripting) tool to change the anchored frame(s) settings, by editing the following lines:
      <ShapeRect  1.0" 1.16667" 6.5" 2.0">
      <BRect  1.0" 1.16667" 6.5" 2.0">
    A freebie MIF tool to use for examining files is MIFBrowse, at

  • Saving Freeze Frame Images

    Hello,
    When I make a freeze frame from my timeline in FCE 4, how do I save it in the browser/browsers?
    Is there a way to save as a new file within the project?
    Thanks!
    Susan

    And if you want to use the freeze frame in other apps, like Photoshop, place the Timeline playhead on the frame you want, then go to File->Export->Using QuickTime Conversion.  In the export window, use the drop-down FORMAT menu near the bottom left of the window and choose Still Image.  In the Options drop-drown menu, choose the still image file type you want (JPG, PNG, TIF, etc).
