SAVING PICTURE NAME WITH DATE

Hello, although I love my z10, I don't understand why the saving of picture does not include the date in the name of the file (as it used to in my BB 9900)... It was very useful for my work to scroll in the gallery and immediatly see the date the picture was taken. Is there a way to change the way the name is given to the picture? Please help, I can't believe this option does not exist (i know the date can appear in the file manager, but still i would like my picture name to feature the date...) thanks for your help!

The naming convention used by the new Blackberry camera is pretty standard amongst digital camera makers, albeit not what you are used to from previous BlackBerrys.
Date, etc are all stored by the file info and in the EXIF data anyway, so I assume that they decided it was not necessary.
If you browse the photos in the file manager the date shows right under the filename, so I have to assume that as they round out the photo viewer they will add the same functionality.. the photo viewer needs lots of other work anyway... folders, etc. so I expect that we will see some improvements here before long.
It would be nice to be able to change the naming convention to one of your choosing though, maybe something that you should add to the 'feature request' thread.

Forms cannot be saved by recepients with data

My forms cannot be saved with data in them by recepients. When I go to distribute form ' FAiled to save the form to be published. Detailed eror: The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.'
Tried all of the above by message still appears. Using arobat 9 with form created from word doc

Implement check for File Names with data into TRG table

hi,
I am trying to load the Multiple files names & Autonumber to oracle table T1 which is further loaded the auto-number with data to target table TRG. My problem is when the same name file comes again due to size then load it again. & also don't insert Target (TRG) table rows with same data while insert the only those records/rows which are not in Target Table(TRG) .. Is this standard approach. becoz in this way I thing loading Performance speed will b down??
Any other or best recommended approach???/

Create a validation of type exists. in expression 1 put:
SELECT 1
FROM DUAL
WHERE UPPER(:P9_FILE) LIKE '%TEST.HTML';

change P9_FILE to your file browse item name and change '%TEST.HTML' to '%YOUR_FILE_NAME'

Using the regex to match the file name with date time

Hello all,
currently I had problem to match the following file name with the date time. Of course I can use this regex like ""(\\\\w+|.+).(zip)" to match it. However in the current application i need to parse the file name and get the current date time to check if it is matched. Does anyone have good idea?

I have sorted what I was wanting to do. there was some code missing from the coding as well as the import function.
No you don't have to be 'god' but if some one just handed you a russian/english dictionary you would still have a difficult time making a sentance or even a DVD with every thing there is to know speaking gaelic.
You have to learn more than just the syntax. sorry I'm not the best person in the world for understanding docs etc, but we all have our good points, ask me any thing else on computers and networks I'll give a plain english answer, wood chips and all.
This is all meant in a good tone, there is the problem with txt that it tend to have a dull sound, so cheer up and smile. I know I am.

Receiver File Name with date

I have a requirement where I wanted to genereate the recevier file name as TestYYYYMMDD.txt format.
Note that in Receiver target structure date is not coming and output file also we dont require date data.
I tried to put the Date root node and date field in target structure and in Receiver FCC i have not put the Date root node name but still date data is generated in output file.
Since its a Comma separated file hence I can not use CUT option which is applicable for Fixed length file.
I used the time stamp option but it is giving HH.MM.SS details which i dont want.
Is there any other options available.

Since you added ":" to the file name, the file name is not valid. You can change ":" to "-".

Automate to run the report & save it a name with date prefix

We are planning to build a new in-house system. And would like to
schedule some reports running in mid-night & automatically distribute to the
users. Also, we would like to make a hardcopy per each day in case the users
need some previous info which may not be found in the database since the data
might be changed. So I thought the file name of each hardcopy should use the
date as prefix.

We have integrated oracle reports into oracle portal and it works great. The reports can be scheduled by a user in the front-end. What I would suggest is at the same time of scheduled report to the user's email is to schedule the same report to a printer. If you have more than one report engine, then your reports will run simultaneously.
Yes, I think you need the oracle 9ias because oracle reports does not come standalone.

Saving interactive forms with data AND then performing further edits

I need to produce a series of interactive PDF application forms which are long and quite complicated.
This being the case, is it possible to save the file in it's partially completed state and close it down then at another time re-open and continue to fill out the remainder of the form? I have extended features in Acrobat 9 to allow the user to fill out the form and save their changes, but when the people helping me test this re-open the form to continue, they get the message:
"This document contained certain rights to enable special features in Adobe Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and these rights are no longer valid. Please contact the author for the original version of this document."
The form is now locked and flattened with no live form fields on it.
To complicate matters, it doesn't work on the PCs in my office but I can do further editing after a save on my own computer - could that be something to do with Acrobat versions or is it maybe because I am the auther of the form?

Maybe that could work, but I would like to leave out all the function module stuff. I'm dreaming of a direct connection between MII and the ADS. As I understood, the ADS and the PDFObject (wherever it comes from) are communicating via Webservice, that is not directly usable by other frameworks. I think that's the main problem?! So it's only possible to build a PDF object in ABAP or WebDynpro Java, that automatically communicates with the ADS and it's only initiatable via remote function call?!

Trying to list table column names with data type

I have a list of table names and need to output the fields and their type. So I tried the code below but getName() returns string even when I know the field is an int. You are using GetMetaData() incorrectly. It returns an array of structures. Cfloop through the returned array, and output the #name# and #typeName# keys.
But .. if you only need the column metadata. Dan's suggestion of using cfdbinfo would seem more appropriate here.

You did nothing wrong, but the photo app puts stuff in chronological order.
You can look for another app. Afraid I don't have one to suggest, but I do understand that other apps will sort photos differently.

How did you change your user name?
resetpassword wouldn't have done it. If you managed to create a new user, then your data is still in the old account.
