Saving Preset Book pages

I'm designing a book.  I add some photo boxes.  I like what I get.  I'd like to save this so it will be available for the next album.  How do I save it if it is possible?  I am working in the GraphiStudio plug in designs, if that has a bearing on the answer.
Thanks in advance,
Gary

There is no way to save a page layout, but if you keep the book you're working on, then select and duplicate it when you want to do your next project (File > Duplicate Book), you can then just replace the images.
Hope that helps.

  • FAQ: How do I migrate my saved presets from an earlier version of Photoshop or import/export them?

You now have the option to migrate presets from a previous version, export presets and to save to a directory as a zip file (great for instructors).
Preset Migration migrates your saved presets, not your preferences. The message says "Would you like to migrate presets from the following versions?"  It simply carries on the preset files you have already saved (things like Brush Tips, HDR Toning presets, Curve presets, Styles etc.)  to CS6.
HOW TO USE PHOTOSHOP CS6 AUTOMATED PRESET MIGRATION
Photoshop CS6 offers the great new functionality of automated preset migration for your custom presets from Photoshop versions as far back as CS3.
When Photoshop CS6 launches for the first time, it checks for previous installations of Photoshop on the computer to see if there are custom presets that need to be migrated. Photoshop looks in each of these presets folders for your saved custom preset files that it can migrate.
Preset migration script copies all the files in user preset folders of older versions. If there are more than one preset files with the same name, presets from the newer version will be given priority. These types of presets will be migrated by the script:
3DLUTs, Actions, Black and White, Brushes, Channel Mixer, Color Books, Color Swatches, Contours, Curves, Custom Shapes, Deco, Duotones, Exposure, Flash 3D, Gradients, HDR Toning, Hue and Saturation, Levels, Lighting Effects, Lights, Materials, Meshes, Optimized Colors, Optimized Output Settings, Optimized Settings, Patterns, Render Settings, Repousse, Scripts, Styles, Tools, Video, Volumes, Widgets, Zoomify, and Workspaces
If this is not your first launch and you would like Photoshop to look for presets,
Choose Edit > Presets > Migrate Presets
When Photoshop notices that you have custom presets saved in their appropriate folders it will give the message "Would you like to migrate presets from the following versions?"
Choose Yes. Photoshop will begin the preset migration script.
When the migration has completed Photoshop will pop up another message saying:
"Preset files from older versions successfully migrated"
In order to use your newly migrated presets, you must restart Photoshop.
If you had Photoshop CS6 beta installed and have saved custom presets, you will need to export those presets before uninstalling the previous version and installing the release version of Photoshop CS6.
    HOW TO SAVE PRESETS
For PS, check that you have saved all your presets using:
Edit>Preset Manager... (in previous versions) Edit>Presets>Preset Manager... (in CS6)
HOW TO IMPORT AND EXPORT PRESETS
    In the main PS menu,
    Choose Edit > Presets > Export/Import Presets
In this dialog you can export the presets and then import them when you load the new version using the same Export/Import dialog.
If you have gone through the automated preset migration and notice that some of your presets didn't get migrated with the rest, make sure you have exported your presets to their default folders.
    PRESET FILE LOCATIONS:
(Note that there are two different folder locations for presets, one for application provided default presets, and one for user created preset files)
These are the presets that are unique to each user on the computer. These can be migrated automatically: (this is the location that the user should save their personal presets in)
    Windows:  Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets
    Mac:  Users/[Username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets
These are the default presets that ship with Photoshop.  These presets can be imported but will not copy over using the migrate feature because each version of Photoshop will install defaults for that version.

Do you have an  iPhoto Library from the old machine? If you have then simply open it - there's no importing involved.
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
If you don't have an actual library there is no way to do what you want.

  • How to copy and paste text from one photo book page to another.

hello,i downloaded this software 2days ago,and i've been having so much fun with it. pls i need help on how to copy and paste text from one photo book page to another. Secondly how to copy my completed photo book pages project to another laptop for printing. thanks

    Hi DG.
The easiest way to copy an HP Photo Creations project to another computer is to click the Share button. That will upload the project to the Web and give you a link you can paste into an email. Clicking the link on the other computer allows you to download the project and personalize it. This quick video shows the process. (The screen looks slightly different now, but the concept is the same.)
Another way to share a project is copy the project folder to a thumb drive. Look in Documents/HP Photo Creations/My Things to find your saved projects.
Our customer support team would be happy to walk you through the process. Contact them at [email protected]

  • Item translations are not saved for copied page

    Hello,
item translations are not saved for copied page. Is it expected?

    Hello,
    >> item translations are not saved for copied page. Is it expected?
I’m not sure what you mean by not saved, but if you expect to copy a current translated page into a new page, and inherent the translation in the new page, the answer is NO, it’s not saved.
Adding a new page to your application, even by copying an existing page, is a major change in your primary language application, which create multiple new independent elements in your application (after the page has been copied, there isn’t any link between it and the original page). You need to re-seed the primary application, export a new XLIFF file, and translate the new <trans-unit> that were added to it.

  • Book Page Numbering Broken - InDesign 5.5

I've been experiencing some very persistent and reproducible errors with book numbering in InDesign 5.5.
Any feedback or ideas would be very welcome.
Platform: OS X Lion (relatively clean install), InDesign CS5.5 7.5.2, no plugins on test environment
    Reproducible condition:
Create a new book, enable automatic page numbering (continue from previous section).
Create four new documents, to each add ten pages. Ensure automatic numbering is on.
Add each of these documents to the book.
    Save the book.
Update page numbering for the book.
    Result:
Documents do not display correct book page numbers in the book palette. They show document, not book, relative numbering. Each document displays (1-10) in the book palette.
When viewing the documents themselves, the first two document page number as expected: (1-10) & (11-20). This is also the result when exporting to PDF.
However documents 3 & 4 in the book take page numbers (11-20) as well, as though they were each positioned second in the book.
    Tested:
I've tried alternative automatic page numbering options for the book (start on odd/even) with no change. UPDATE: on a 20 document book there are some sections that seem to restart as "pairs", so number restarts randomly throughout the book. Same document and book numbering options as described here.
I've tested with different numbers of documents, different page counts.
I do update the page numbering after each attempt, no change.

Note about large document test added.

lilia@, thanks for the ideas, keep them coming...! Regarding these two, I've tried both already, no joy. Reordering document 3 to document 2 does result in it being re page numbered, but the "new" third document loses it's page numbers again (i.e. the book seems to be maintaining "pairs" of docs and reordering just changes which document is being re numbered).
Have also added using the plus button on the panel, same. Thanks for the ideas though.
Fwiw, this problem shows up on both existing books and new test books with fresh test docs. I've also tried the borderline voodoo method of exporting to IDML and reopening/saving the docs. Pretty much at my wits end. Well, a little more wit left, but not much.

  • Doesn't open the PDF file (i.e. articles, books pages). It appears a black page. Thanks for help

Safari doesn't open the PDF file (articles, book page, etc). It appears a black page. Before that it was working perfectly. Thank for your help

    Try this ...
Open a Finder window then from the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
    Click Go.
If you see the:  AdobePDFViewer plugin (or anything Adobe related) in the Internet Plug-Ins folder, move it to the trash.
Restart your Mac and try opening a PDF file.

  • Grouping of develop presets in the 'Saved Presets' dropdown in Library module

I'm sure a lot of people download lots of presets from the internet to try, and end up with loads of them.
In the library module, they all appear as a single long, cumbersome list in the dropdown 'Saved Preset' in the quick develop panel.
This makes this dropdown totally unusable if you have more than say, 40 presets - often the most commonly-used presets are at the bottom, and you have to scroll for ages to get to them.
Would be great (and a simple solution) to be able to group them. You can group them in the presets folder, and they do appear grouped in the 'develop' module, but not in the library module.

    +1 vote.
Presently, I just use the Develop Module if I want to assign a preset - because it has the folders.

  • File-Save window(saving the html page by clicking a button)

    Hi,
when I click a button, a window should open which is same as the one which appears when we click File-save.
This should happen to save the data that is displayed on the internetExplorer, when the user clicks the submit button on his page.(ie,Saving  the html page in his desired location).
    Thanks in advance.

    Refer FileDownload and FileUpload tutorial.
If the idea is just to save the html page, I am not sure if it is possible.
If the idea is to save the data in the html page then you can save it as xml format or csv format. Refer to the following tutorials:
    a) FileUpload and FileDownload
    b) Web Dynpro Binary cache

  • Saving a book as PDF takes significantly more time when the file binary *.fm rater than *.mif?

Is it possible, that saving a book (with FrameMaker 10) as PDF takes significantly more time when the file is formatted in the binary *.fm rather than the *.mif format?
We have books (+160p) that take about 20 min to be saved as PDF, whereas the same book in MIF format can be saved as PDF within about 4 minutes. Is this a known issue?
Or could that be a problem with our books?
Does anyone know how to speed up the process (how to tweak) or are there any special adjustments in the books or documents that might slowdown the process of saving them as PDF?
The distiller seems not to be the problem. The distiller takes equally long for both formats.
    best regards

Strikes me as peculiar. I would expect that FM is rendering from the data structures in memory, which I would expect to be essentially identical whether originally opened as .fm or .mif.
If return-to-UI time is important, the fastest path is:
    print to local .ps file
    Distill separately.
And it sounds like you have the full Acrobat product, and thus have full Distiller.
I don't have sufficient experience with Print-to-PDF vs. Save-as-PDF to opine on potential time differences for those paths.

  • Ibooks author, how do I get the standard book pages background into my document. I have published one book so far which does not display with a book pages background or options for font size.

ibooks author, how do I get the standard book pages background into my document. I have published one book so far which does not display with a book pages background or options for font size.

No on the book title, no problem there.
The issue is: my book pages appear as on white paper, no background that resembles a open book and also no option to change fonts. The book was created in iBooks author, there was a problem going with the "Publish" menu route so I was instructed my Apple to "export" the file and submit that. I think that's the problem after reading that iBooks author is a hybrid epub file.
Thanks for getting back to me.

  • Swirling images on a book page

I somehow got an image to move in a circle and I can't figure out how to replicate it so I can swivel other images to sit at an angle as well. Anyone know how. I check to entire manual and came up with no answer.

Go into the book within Aperture. In the button bar just above the book pages and the book preview window you will see a Theme Button, an Edit Content Button, and an Edit Layout Button (from very left moving to the right). Click on the Edit Content Button.
Move the mouse down to the image you want to rotate on the book page. Single click on the image (or the image placeholder if there is no image there). The image (or placeholder) will be surrounded with little boxes in each corner and along each edge. Move the cursor to one of the boxes in the corner until the cursor turns into a plus.
Now, click, hold, and drag the cursor to rotate. Let go and you are finished. Click on the Edit Content Button to be able to drag pictures into the book again.

  • Photos don't display on book pages after upgrading to 9.4.2

I have several books I created in version 9.4.1. After upgrading to iPhoto 9.4.2, most of the pictures will not display on the book pages. Only 1 photo displays out of 3 or 4 photos on the page. Is there a setting that has changed? Using Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on MacBookPro10,1

Did you duplicate the existing book or create a new empty book and add the same photos?
Have you tried rebuilding your library as follows: make a temporary, backup copy of your library if you don't already have one (Control-click on the library and select Duplicate from the contextual menu) and  apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #1, followed by #3 and then #4 as needed.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments.  However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Photoshop for line cleanup, inking, flats and coloring, and a few people use it for text.
Illustrator for creating text boxes and lettering, and some people use it for layout.
InDesign for layout and publishing, and some people use it for text effects as well.
