Saving word in pages, then emailing back word
Please help... I am new to pages. I work with templates created in Word. I have transferred the templates from PC to MacBook. When I open Word documents in Pages I save as a Word document - so I can then email the templates back. Every time I alter these templates or add new information I have to re-save to a certain location and re-save as a Word document - replacing the previous template. Is there a way to save Word documents on Pages any quicker??
Pages is not Word and you risk creating files that will have errors, omissions and possibly even become unworkable by only saving to .doc.
If you need to constantly work to Word files, get word or use *Open Office* (free), Bean (free), *iText Express* (free) which also have degrees of compatibility but will save to .doc if that is the file format.

My apps have all moved on top of each other in the top left hand corner of the page.every time I drag them back to where they are ghosting on the page ,then change page and back again they r back in the corner again help what have I done
Try a Reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I have a few saved documents and when I open them to view them quick, sometimes when I close it, I will get asked if I would like to save the document or all my new info will be lost. I didnt change anything so Im not sure why it asks me that. When I open the document again, all the info is there and nothing is different. Thanks
Unless they were Word documents, Pages has done nothing really, but it is updating date information in the file.
It is annoying but just ignore it and don't save.

This happens during the creation of email or word/pages documents.Try starting in Safe Mode and see if the problem still occurs?
Restart holding the "shift" key.
(Expect it to take longer to start this way because it runs a directory check first.)
If this works look in System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login items and delete any third party login items (-), you can always add them back with the (+). -

Hi my phone won't open my email account it just keeps saying my account is already added then goes back to the welcome page. I have used emails on this phone for over a year and they normally come straight up, can anyone help?
If you go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select that email account then is 'mail' currently set 'off' for the account ?

I have my Mac with Mountain Lion and my IPad synched and have Pages on both. I have doc in Word on my Mac I want to access on my IPad while I am away travelling. But I can't locate them. Where should I look to find my previously saved Word docs?

It looks like you haven't got them on iCloud. On your Mac, open Pages and drag the Word documents to the iCloud window -
I create a document in pages with photos. I then save it and I also export it as a doc or docx file. I then email or place in a drop box the doc or docx file. The other computer opens the file in Microsoft word and the text remains in place but the photos are randomly scattered throughout the document. What is going wrong? How do I correct this problem? I really don't want to go back to a Microsoft machine.
That assumes two things:
1. That Apple would have let Microsoft have access to its file format.
2. That Microsoft would want to spend the time and trouble to write filters for file formats that Apple can't be bothered doing for its own software.

After saving, word documents have been disappearing from my macbook air. Have checked outlook temp files, temporary files don't show them, can't find them anywhere. Includes coursework files that I have lost because I don't back up regularly. Even the finder cannot find them, word recent documents doesn't show them. 100% positive I saved htem. Please help someone!!!
Hi there. If you have save file selected in word you should be able to find it. Here is some options. http://superuser.com/questions/845543/accidentally-clicked-dont-save-in-new-word -document You could select the finder, then Go from the top menu and then go to folder from the drop down list. Then type in private/var/folders then enter.

The hard way is to print out the document, sign it, then scan it to a PDF, and finally email it back.
The easy way is to first scan in your signature. Then you can open a received document, paste in your signature, and return it via email.
In my case I made several signatures on a blank sheet of paper, scanned in the sheet, then used Graphic Converter to select the best exemplar and saved it to a separate file as a JPEG image. When I receive emailed documents requiring a signature I have them sent as PDFs. I then use a third-party application, PDFPenPro, to edit the PDF and to paste in my signature. I save the edited PDF and return it via email. -

Could anyone advise how to save word/microsoft document on icloud? I can't find the icon of icloud when saving word document.
Microsoft have not updated their applications for iCloud compatibility, so you can't do it direct from Word.
Apple's "Pages" application for Mac will allow you to save Word .doc files to iCloud. -
When I try to play a song on my iPod Touch, it shows the information screen for the song and then skips to a new song but then goes back to the main playlist page without ever playing a song! Help!
thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option. But why do people always leave a message saying" i'll probably just by an ipod" and it's usually followed by, "even though i don't like apple or ipod" . I mean fine, if u feel like giving up on the zen micro thats fine, i personally don't care if you're going to buy an ipod. for god sakes ipod isn't even the next alternati've mp3 players, theres plenty. I log-in to webmail. frontier.com and go to my inbox. I have no trouble reading my email but I cannot reply or forward. When I try to do either I get a screen that first has a Skype help page then goes blank. It says done on the bottom but there is no reply box to type in. I've never had this problem before and I've been doing this for almost 2 years on may computers. The only thing different is I had some work done and had to re-install Firefox. Could a newer version cause the problem? I do not have this problem when I use IE or am on a different computer.This was happening even before I installed Skype.

My IPAD 3 [5.1.1 (9B206)] has a problem.
- It restarts every three (3) minutes: it goes out then comes back but lost the previous page (auto lock is set to 15 minutes)
- It can no longer connect to the mobile network orange except Wireless (WIFI)Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

Here are troubleshooting steps that should help you fix the problem.
1) Quit App Store in multi-tasking.
2) Tap Settings.
3) Tap Safari.
4) Tap Clear History.
5) Tap the Clear History button.
6) Tap Clear Cookies and Data.
7) Tap the Clear Cookies and Data button.
Try purchasing an app again from the device to get the security question prompt. You really need to set up the security question.

What does i/o slave wait event means(apart from idle wait event class), what it is doing? I see some times when i run query, this thing appears in wait events, and doesn't goes off, why/for what it is waiting? Appreciate for clear cut description on
