Scanning QR codes on a PC without a tablet or smartphone

I use Symbol (now a Zebra company) and Wasp scanners.

Well, couldn't you say that a tablet or smartphone is using a camera to scan a QR code? It crashes for   object.stringValue.
For object.type, it returns org.iso.Aztec.
for other barcode types it is scanning properly without any issue.
Please let me know if any one observed the same ? or have any solution.

Delete the app and redownload.
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Problems on scanning BAR CODES

Hi people!
I have to print bar codes from an abap report and then scan. I've done the first part (printing) but I just can't scan the code I print. Does someone have an idea?

Didn't know you could produce Barcodes from ABAP reports - how did you do this? As Christian said, you could also make the font bigger. What are the barcode specs? Sometimes, you need to have the ratios between the "thin" and "thick" lines set up based onthe type of scanner you use. You can manipulate these settings through the Bar Code Settings via SE73.
This is how you can do it. Let's assume you are using a HP1200 Device Type and a Code 128A Barcode Font. From SE73, click on the "Printer Bar Codes" Radio button and select Display.
Double Click on the HP1200 Device Type and you will see all the Bar Codes that have been set up for that Device Type. Find "C128A_00" and single click on the Prefix 'SBP25' and hit the "Displ. Print Control" button.
This Prefix is the external printer control command that SAP will pass to the printer in the printer's language. Once you hit the "Disp. Print Control" button a popup will appear, now look at the Control Char. Seq. This is the printer command for this particular Barcode font. All the characteristics relating to Barcode Font, Size, Height, Spacing, Ratios, etc are defined here.
Because these commands are in the Printer's Native Language, you will need to get the relevant programming guide for your printer to know what values to manipulate.

I am new to abap and my transports are unable to move further because of code inspector error
"MODIFY - without TRANSPORTING was found in line ". Help me resolve the issue.

       while modifying the internal table specify wich field you are modifying
modify <internal table > from <work area> transporting <fields>.

Where to get the ap to scan QR codes?

I would like to be able to scan QR codes and Barcodes with my Droid Razr. I can't find an ap in the Vz Market. Where can I get an ap to do this that is reputable and safe site? Is there any charge for these scanner aps?

If you go to the market and search for "barcode scanner" you'll get a lot of choices. Most of the scanners will now scan both the standard barcodes and the QR codes. Some will also generate QR codes for you. Here a 3 I've used and like.

Plenty of others. Just look at the ones that have the best ratings, try some and decide on one you like best. You can always just delete the ones you don't like.

I read that the latest update to Mt. Lion allows one to scan in codes using your imac FaceTime camera...

I'm the product manager for the ATG 10.1 mobile reference applications. Need to clarify some serious misunderstandings about the product posted in this thread.
1. The ATG mobile 10.1 solution is NOT based on the Endeca mobile solution.
2. The ATG mobile 10.1 solution is NOT integrated with the Endeca solution.
3. Endeca has a mobile solution that is a separate SKU on the price list (Endeca for Mobile).
4. We are working on an integrated ATG and Endeca mobile solution but that is a future roadmap item. The integrated solution will be available at a TBD date.
5. The ATG mobile storefronts are based on the ATG Commerce Reference Store.
6. The ATG mobile 10.1 storefronts do NOT contain the QR code/mobile scanning feature -- that is a high-priority roadmap item.

Issues scanning QR codes with messenger

Anyone else having problems scanning QR codes with BB Messenger? I can scan the code and the phone makes the beep to confirm the code has been read, but then the link never appears.

I recently got a result code from my hardware scan:
Result code: WHD01V00G-HJ9B6E
When I look at the results I can see that the only failure was the "SMART short self-test"
Not sure what this means?

Is there a way to switch the screen off without the tablet going into sleep mode?
So that I can play music in the background?

Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're experiencing issues playing background music while the screen is off.
The tablet will work just like a laptop or desktop and we need to look at some Windows settings for this.
The simplest solution is to access your power management settings, and set the display to go to sleep but not the computer, or at least increase the time before the PC actually enters sleep mode.
I havn't had a chance to test a Windows tablet yet but I would assume that in the power management settings you should see something on the left hand side that says "Change what pressing the power buttons do." In here you may be able to set it to turn off the display.

how to print claim code for hp envy 5530 without connecting to internet. We do not have wireless internet and we are trying to set up the eprint app for our samsun android phones and ipad. We need to print off the claim code from the printer but it seems we need to have internet for that. is there any way around that?

How to minify code in DW CS6 without using third party tools?

I work in a secure environment without access to the internet or third party plugins. We just have access to Dreamweaver CS6 and I am looking for ways to minify (remove all the white space) in my code (CSS, JS, HTML, etc). I did see a tutorial about simply selecting white space in the code and then doing a FIND AND REPLACE and clicking the "REPLACE ALL" button to remove the white space, but that did not work on my system.
Does anyone have any solutions? I am open to copying and pasting the code in something like notepad if there's a way to remove the whitespace that way, I could also possibly copy a php script to my system, but that will take some time to get cleared by the IT folks.

Use Edit > Preferences > Code Format > Tag Libraries to set up how you want your code to appear. Then use Command > Apply Source Formatting. It won't minify your code to the extent that other on-line minification tools will, but it might help a little.
Removing all white spaces from scripts can cause them to fail so I don't think doing a global Find & Replace is what you want.

I have a stream of words, which means all the words are join together without any space in between it. I have over 10000 chracters in this stream, which is a lot. Showing part of my stream from a text file.

I trying to write a code to extract this text file, and then seperate each part with a 'next line' function. Meaning I want the above example to become this:

Each line comprises of alphabet|number
I failed to code out such program, and needs help!!
