Scenebuilder not seeing controller in Maven directory structure

I'm using maven for my javafx project, I used the javafx maven plugin @ https://github.com/zonski/javafx-maven-plugin/wiki. Everything was created correctly with a typical maven directory structure, the fxml file was created in the resources\fxml folder. When I edit the fxml file Scenebuilder will not see my controller, I have set the <?scenebuilder-classpath-element /> fxml element to the path of the controller source and the controller still cannot be seen by Scenebuilder. I have performed a build and then changed the same element to the generated jar and it still does not work.
So as a work around I keep the fxml file in the same folder as the controller source. I've read that the scenebuilder-classpath-element is used to resolve imports for user written controls, as a suggestion for a Scenebuilder enhancement it would be nice to have the classpath element also used for the declared controller.

Makes sense.
I created http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/DTL-5573 to track that proposal.
Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Simplesave sd320a does not show saved files or directory structure, disk full?, I can restore

    I was saving files from an old win95 machine to bring them to a new laptop which is windows 7.  I plugged in the drive which is not full and I can only see the hp launcher.  In drive properties this drives shows 100 pct full.
    I can and did pull up an old simple save backup and restore pictures.
    The windows 7 machine is a locked down work machine.  Maybe the file structure was changed by the windows 95 machine and now my windows 7 machine can not see the root directory?
    I have not written to the drive since storing all of the pictures from the 95 machine and unplugging the external hard drive.
    I am looking for help on how to see the files in the root directory that I simply use the copy command to move them on to the external drive.

    OldGhias,
    Have you found a solution yet? I don’t know if I will be of any help but I was curious and no one else has chimed in yet.
    I don’t quite understand all of your statement.
    To clarify, you were making SimpleSave backups from Win95 and cannot see them all on the Win7 laptop?
    Or
    You were copying files over (SimpleSave utility not used) and you cannot see those files on Win7 but you can on the Win95 machine?
    Do you have another Win7 machine you could connect the external to, to see if the files are still not showing (one that is not locked for work)?
    On the drive that shows full, can you see it in Disk Management showing the correct size of the drive and also another CD drive? Not your real CD/DVD drive, it’s actually a CD emulator that is attached to the HDD for encrypting the backups and all SimpleSave’s have them.
    Lastly, did you reformat the SimpleSave drive to Fat32 first?
    My understanding is that USB support was quite limited on Win95 machines. Since Win95 is Fat32 and the SimpleSave drive is by default NTFS, I would think it would not work.

  • How to view the directory structure of JS sources in debugger?

    I'm a web developer and want to use Firefox, but am used to using Chrome for debugging.
    In Chrome debugging tool (hit F12 -> click 'sources' tab in top of the web dev window), you can clearly see the entire Javascript directory structure of the site you're visiting, and can collaps/expand directories nicely. How can I view the javacript directory structure in the Firefox debugging window? I can't do what I do without being able to easily navigate the filestructure of the website, but in the Firefox debugging window, all I can see is what appears to be javascript files in random order.
    Thanks!
    Josh

    Hi Josh,
    Thank you for your question. I understand that you would like to see the javascript directory structure in the Firefox debugging window. I am happy to help.
    When you open Tools > Web Developer > Web Console and select the "Debugger", there are a list of js files loaded with the current viewed page.
    Try [https://getfirebug.com/firstrun#Firebug%202.0.2 Firebug] its script tab has a hierarchy of js files.

  • Directory structure for Applets

    The Tutorial recommends storing the applet class in the same directory as the HTML file. Is this the usual best practice? If not is there a preferred directory structure. I've noticed that the codebase relative URL "../myclasses/" doesn't work from the root htdocs path.

    I have been storing my class files and jar files in the same directory as my html.
    That is what I've typically seen people do, but it is not necessary if you specify otherwise in your codebase. Thanks, that's probably what I'll do.
    If you set the value of your codebase using the URL in your example "../myclasses" you are saying that
    your applet class is located in a directory called "myclasses" which is in the Parent directory of htdocs. I realize that's what the ../ should mean, its just that it doesn't appear to work if the html file is in the root as specified by htdocs. If there is an extra level it works.

  • Ant Directory structure.

    Hi,
    We are developing J2EE application that would contain number of components. Each component would be a ear file that would contain EJB jars and war which can be deployed in any J2EE compliant application server.
    We are currently using Bedrock framework for applications deployed in Weblogic. It provides a very robust directory structure with most of the ant targets. However it is very custom for Weblogic.
    Is there a similar framework that provides a robust directory structure (with built ant targets) which can be delopyed into Orion/Oracle Application Server.
    If not, is there any standard directory structure for building J2EE applications? Any recommended source directory structure and why?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Brand New RD240 ThinkServer can not see the LSI 8708EM2 RAID Controller During Bootup

    I have a brand new out the box RD240 ThinkServer that can not see the LSI 8708EM2 RAD Controller it came with.  This RAID controller simply does not want to function.  This RAID Cntroller does not show up during the boot up and I even tried putting in a different slot in the riser card, thinkn maybe it was a bad PCI-e slot, but made no difference.  Also the Lenovo Easy Setup software does not find this controller either.  So I'm wondering if there is an issue with the RAID Controller or is it a bad Riser card?  Does anyone have any idea's on what can be done or what I may be missing?

  • ARD does not see Active Directory to join Macs

    I just moved to a new company and have been setting up Mac support from the ground up there.
    In my previous school district, I just used a network range to get the computers I was administering, but here, since we have SO MANY network ranges, I decided to try the directory search feature, which I dont remember ARD having.
    Problem is we have no Open Directory here (yet) so the computers are just bought to AD for user login. Is this why I can not see computers populated in the directory search, or is something else wrong here, and I should normally see computers there regardless of the directory type the computer is bound to.
    Worse case I just go searching network ranges by hand, but this would help speed up the proses.

    The MAC information that ARD is going to use when it attempts to query the directory for machines is likely missing from AD.
    Turn on logging for directory services and you can see the request to AD for the machines:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3186
    I had the same situation here at my company between search order of OD and AD. Unfortunately with AD being your only choice you don't have the option of using computer lists as far as I know. What about task server? You'll have to depend on DNS updating properly etc but it'll give you a dynamically updating list as your users move about.

  • Organize iTunes file list by Directory Structure instead of artist/album?

    Hello, I have searched for different audio players for os x which might have this feature but so far have had no luck. What I'm looking for is a feature similar to that of foobar2000 for win32 where I can organize my music by directory structure without the iTunes automatic organization by artist/album. Is there a way I can accomplish this in iTunes with some sort of xml config or hidden options? Thanks.

    You don't have to have iTunes move music around on your hard drive (Preferences>Advanced>General, uncheck Keep iTunes Music folder organized and Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library) but I suspect that's not what you're asking. You can't automatically view music from within iTunes by directory structure. iTunes organizes by ID3 tags ("mp3 tags"). You could, I suppose, spend a lot of time replicating your directory structure by using folders and playlists within iTunes but you'd probably have to do it all by hand.
    You could check out Doug's Scripts to see if there are some scripts that might help.

  • Directory Structure

    I just created a network installer for Q4 Release.  We have Developers, Full, and Debug licenses.  The DVDs were copied to the VLM computer's harddrive.  When I created the Debug configuration, the Network Installer reported the the DVDs did not have to be modified and would copy them directly.  When the network installed was done, it did not create the directory structure similiar to what the help file below shows.
    LabVIEW 8.0
    \_SourceFiles
    \Fourth Floor Engineering
    \Client
    vlmclient.exe
    other files
    setup.exe
    \Applications Group
    \Client
    vlmclient.exe
    other files
    setup.exe
    Figure 1. Network Installer Directory Structure
    I would have expected
    LabView 8.6
        \Source Files
        \Debug
            \Client
               vlmclient.exe
             setup.exe
    Only the \DISK1, \DISK2, \DISK3, \DISK4 were created.  The vlmclient.exe was not created.
    Paul
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    When you were creating the VLI, did you get a popup message that said the source did not need modification? If you saw that popup, that means VLM was not pointed to a valid source file location, which will cause a direct copy of the files with no additions.
    If you select a valid source location, you should not see that message and the Product Name field should automatically populate. If you are using the Dev Suite or Platform DVDs, you will need to follow the steps in the KnowledgeBase article I refered to in my previous post.
    Here is an example of what copying the installer directory could look like if you just copy the LabVIEW 8.6 Platform DVD 1:
    LabVIEW 8.6 Platform DVD 1\_SourceFiles
                                                            \(the _SourceFiles directory will contain a copy of DVD 1)
                                                    \LV PDS (License Set name)
                                                            \setup.exe
                                                            \Client
                                                                     \vlmclient.exe (as well as some other vlm files)
    On the client machine, you would want to run "setup.exe" to begin the installation.

  • Directory Structure Errors

    In TechTools ( came with Applecare ) i got a failed on Directory Structure, second time since owning my couple month old machine, first time apple recomended reloading.
    i dont mishandle it, dont bump, dent, etc, the laptop.
    but all of a sudden sometimes my USB keyboard/mouse wont register as being plugged in all the time / techtools HDD errors.
    only recent think if done is instal Onyx to look over the logs, and little while after ( days ) the issues started hapening,, same with last time, but didnt think it was Onyx, now im starting to wonder, anybody else have any issues like this, and Would Onyx couse it ( doubt it, but since onyx goes deep into the system, no idea )

    It is an interesting coincidence that I came across this thread today because I had the exact same issue myself last night.
    I have plenty of space available on my HDD 73.1GB.
    I downloaded the latest Onyx last night and when it starts it checks the disk. I got an error on the startup volume so I ran Tech Tools as well.
    TechTools came up with that same failed Directory Structure error.
    I next tried to reboot the comptuer holding down Apple/S and entering fsck -fy
    That resulted in errors. Tried re-running it 3-4 tims to see if it would resolve anything but got the same error with every attempt.
    I then booted from DiskWarrior and ran that. It seemed to correct a number of issues and now TechTools, Onyx, Disk Utility etc. find no problems. But it was kind of an odd occurance and interesting to find I was not alone in getting that last night.
    The odd thing though is that I also checked my Mac Pro while I was wating on this one to finish and had directory errors on that one as well so had to run DiskWarrior on both.
    I was kind of concerned about that to say the least.

  • Directory Structure ?s for an Exploded Web Application

    We have an application that consists only of JSPs and Servlets, no
    EJBs. I am researching whether or not it's worthwhile to start using
    EJBs. We're also migrating from Weblogic 5 to 6.1. I've managed to
    migrate our application fine and have it up and running on WLS 6.1.
    I'm confused about the exploded directory structure, the
    application.xml file, where to put the EJBs and whether or not I have
    to jar them. Here's our current directory structure:
    DefaultWebApp/               JSPs here
    DefaultWebApp/WEB-INF          web.xml and weblogic.xml here
    DefaultWebApp/WEB-INF/classes     Servlets and other classes here
    DefaultWebApp/WEB-INF/lib     do my un-jar-ed EJBs go here?
    I've been reading a lot of BEA's documentation, particularly
    ‘Deploying an Exploded J2EE Application' and a ‘Web Application PDF',
    and looking for relevant threads on the weblogic.developer.interest
    groups. It looks like the application.xml should go in a new
    DefaultWebApp/META-INF directory. But where do the EJBs go?
    I also see some directory structures with another /web directory
    that's confusing me.
    Oh, I've also managed to compile and jar up a trial Stateless Session
    EJB. Then I think I ‘auto-deployed' it into the /applications
    directory, and Weblogic seems to recognize it. But when I tried to
    reference it in a JSP, I got an error message ‘class x is public,
    should be declared in a file named x.java'. I'm assuming this is
    related to the application.xml, where I need to define the ejb
    directory.
    Thanks.

    To deploy your web app together with your EJBs, you need to create
    an "EAR" structure. Both your webapp and your EJB jars will be within
    this new structure, at the same level. You may jar up your EJBs, or you
    may explode their structure, it's up to you.
    The resulting structure should look something like below:
    EnterpriseApp/ <-- new top level
    EnterpriseApp/META-INF/
    EnterpriseApp/META-INF/application.xml
    EnterpriseApp/lib/ <-- shared libraries (if any)
    EnterpriseApp/EJB/ <-- ejbs go here
    EnterpriseApp/EJB/META-INF/ejb-jar.xml
    EnterpriseApp/EJB/META-INF/weblogic-ejb-jar.xml
    EnterpriseApp/EJB/com/your/ejb/classes/here
    EnterpriseApp/WebApp/ <-- move your current app here
    EnterpriseApp/WebApp/index.jsp <-- JSPs goes here
    EnterpriseApp/WebApp/other.jsp
    EnterpriseApp/WebApp/WEB-INF/web.xml
    EnterpriseApp/WebApp/WEB-INF/weblogic.xml
    EnterpriseApp/WebApp/WEB-INF/lib <-- ui libraries go here
    EnterpriseApp/WebApp/WEB-INF/classes <-- servlets go here
    The above structure is identical to the structure to an EAR file, only "exploded"
    as actual files and directories instead of being "jarred" into a single EAR file.
    Your application.xml in this case would specify something like:
    <application>
    <display-name>EnterpriseApp</display-name>
    <description>My Enterprise Application</display-name>
    <module>
    <ejb>EJB</ejb>
    </module>
    <module>
    <web>
    <web-uri>WebApp</web-uri>
    <context-root>/yourAppRoot</context-root>
    </web>
    </module>
    </application>
    And in config.xml you would have an entry similar to:
    <Application Deployed="true" Name="EnterpriseApp"
    Path=".\config\mydomain\applications\EnterpriseApp">
    <WebAppComponent Name="ui" Targets="myserver" URI="WebApp"/>
    <EJBComponent Name="ejb" Targets="myserver" URI="EJB"/>
    </Application>
    regards,

  • Directory structure question...

    I've been w/ three different companies doing Java development now, and each time I've come in once the project is already in progress and the directory structure is set up. What I see is a similarity:
    com.<company name>.<project>.<sub-units>
    examples:com.delta.kiosk.server
    com.delphi.shipping.guiIs this a common way of laying out directories and if so, what is the benefit (other than standardization)?

    I always figures that it was primarily a namespace issue.
    org.apache.ecs.Attributes
    org.xml.sax.Attributes
    are examples of class names that would have resulted in a collision without the prefixes. A full class name has the package name before it so
    String
    java.lang.String
    are the same thing, String is just shorthand for the latter. But if there are two of the same class then the prefix will help the compiler know where the class is supposed to come from. com.<company name>.<project>.<class> is a good way to ensure that you will not encounter a collision.

  • Changing file name and directory structure for use outside of iPhoto

    Hi,
    I was wondering if its possible to get iPhoto to name the files from my library to reflect the names that I've given the files in iPhoto. I'm thinking along the lines of iTunes, where its possible to chose in the preferences how the files are named, and there is some logical directory structure, such as "Artist/Album/01 - Track 1.mp3". These file names are updated to reflect any changes made in iTunes.
    I've heard the argument that I shouldn't ever want to do anything with the files themselves because iPhoto can do everything I would ever want to do, but I want to organize the files so that not all of my organizational work is lost if I decide to stop using iPhoto and transition to a different system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Adrian

    Adrian
    No it's not possible.
    You can rename the files before bringing them into iPhoto, you can rename them with the titles on Export (Use the File -> Export command, it gives you the option to use the title and filename) but when it's inside iPhoto you cannot rename the files.
    However, all is not entirely lost. Using Film Rolls (View -> Film Rolls) you can move pics between rolls, name rolls, create rolls and so on, as long as you do this in the iPhoto Window, and these changes will be reflected in the iPhoto Library Folder.
    If at some point you decide to chuck iPhoto then (if the new app won't read iPhoto database files) you can simply export each album you've created to a Folder (using the File -> Export command as I suggest above), this, along with exporting slideshows will preserve your organisational efforts.
    The iTunes database has a rather simple job to do: track a file and it's assorted metadata. iPhoto, on the other hand, tracks a file and it's assorted metadata, plus a Modified version, plus a thumbnail. If you consider what happens when you edit a pic, for instance - Copy Original, perform edit, save modified version, remove Original Thumbnail and then create new one - you can see it's a rather more complex job.
    Finally, the standard warning: It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss. Any changes you make must be made in the iPhoto Window.
    Need more info? by all means post again.
    Regards
    TD
