Schema Folder

why we keep EO ojbects in Schema folder and VO and AM objects in Server folder.Is this standard or any other reason?
Regards,

There are exceptions even within Oracle code where EOs are not created under schema/server. However for your understanding you should know that EOs are created on table/views which reside directly in the database schema and you access them in updateable mode.
VOs and AMs provide functionality, at the same time they reside on the Application server (and serve a business purpose). So you can understand why they reside under server directory. More aptly this is the directory structure of a VO/AM
<company>.oracle.apps.<prodshortName>.<component>.<subcomponent>.server
Hope that clarifies.

    Build.xml is running fine without giving any error,but it is not generating schema folder in the jar file.
    beacause of that my custom authentication provider is not comming in admin console.
    Kindly help me to resolve this.

    Hi Ramesh,
    Try out the following
    1) Copy mediator.jar from SOA_HOME>/soa/modules/oracle.soa.mediator_11.1.1 to <MW_HOME>//soa/modules/oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1/classes
    2) Goto <MW_HOME>//soa/modules/oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1/classes and run the following command:
    a. jar -xvf mediator.jar
    3) Now remove the jar file, i.e., mediator.jar from classes folder.
    4) Restart the server.

  • Two Schema folder, single connection pool

    Hi
    I have two schema folders in physical layer of obiee 10g. And one connection pool.
    My scenario is the schema have different login ids and in connection pool I can give only one login information.
    How can we have two schema folders under one connection pool. Please suggest.
    Thanks.

    I dont think fully qualified names will not work here please correct if I am wrong. Rather shared logon guess should work but did not in my case.
    The fully qualified names are based on the physical object names in the repository. If you are querying the same tables from which the physical layer metadata was imported, you can safely check the option. If you have migrated your repository from one physical database to another physical database that has different database and schema names, the fully qualified names would be invalid in the newly migrated database. In this case, if you do not select this option, the queries will succeed against the new database objects.
    For some data sources, fully qualified names might be safer because they guarantee that the queries are directed to the desired tables in the desired database. For example, if the RDBMS supports a master database concept, a query against a table named foo first looks for that table in the master database, and then looks for it in the specified database. If the table named foo exists in the master database, that table is queried, not the table named foo in the specified database.

  • Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\Update Services\Schema\

    clean SC 2012 R2 RTM.
    1. had problems with WSUS installation/post configuration
    2. found a blog with an identical problem where the problem was solved with the call to Microsoft. Tools directory was missing.
    I followed the suggestion: reinstalled WSUS using ps and wsusutil.
    I canceled WSUS configuration at recommended step. Everything looked fine.
    But after SUP creation I found SMS_WSUS_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER warning.
    I checked WCM.log and found Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\Update Services\Schema\baseapplicabilityrules.xsd'.
    When checked there was no Schema folder in the path above. So it's just missing as folder TOOLS before troubleshooting.
    Any suggestions for fixing this.
    Thanks.
    Here is partial WCM that could help to find the issue, I clearly see that there is no Schema directory in C:\Program Files\Update Services:

  • Weird behavior using "Open schema type..."

    I'd like to check if I'm doing something wrong or it's a bug.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1- Create a ODSI project;
    2- Create a folder and name it "schemas";
    3- Create a "test.xsd" schema into "schemas" using this code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
              xmlns="http://schemata.petrobras.biz/corp/core-types/1.0"
              elementFormDefault="qualified"
              xmlns:xml="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace"
              attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
    <xs:import namespace="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace"/>
    <xs:complexType name="TextLineType">
    <xs:simpleContent>
    <xs:extension base="xs:normalizedString">
    <xs:attribute ref="xml:id"/>
    <xs:attribute ref="xml:lang"/>
    <xs:attribute ref="xml:space"/>
    </xs:extension>
    </xs:simpleContent>
    </xs:complexType>
    </xs:schema>
    4- Save your project;
    5- Right click "schemas" folder and select "Open Schema Type...";
    6- There's no matching types!
    7- If you remove all three attributes from extension tag you will have the matching type.
    Am I doing something wrong with those attributes?

    You can declare it and use it. The only problem seems to be with "right-click -> Open Schema Types..."
    <xs:complexType name="TextLineType">
    <xs:simpleContent>
    <xs:extension base="xs:normalizedString">
    <xs:attribute ref="xml:lang"/>
    <xs:attribute ref="xml:space"/>
    <xs:attribute ref="xml:id"/>
    </xs:extension>
    </xs:simpleContent>
    </xs:complexType>
    <xs:element name="TextLine" type="TextLineType"/>
    declare function tns:test() as element(ns:TextLine){
    <ns:TextLine xml:lang?="" xml:space?="preserve" xml:id='something'>
    </ns:TextLine>
    };

  • How to remove Existing dll while deploying biztalk schemas

    Hi Friends,
    How to remove Existing dll while deploying biztalk schemas.
    am getting error property schema dll is being used by other person.just like that..
    Thanks & Regards
    Rajiv

    Goto BizTalk admin console -- > If you know the BizTalk application where this dll is already deployed, select that application. Otherwise select "All Artifacts" --> Select "Resources" folder --> And remove the dll of the above property schema project
    by right clicking on the Artifacts and select remove
    Other option is go to "Schemas" folder of the above BizTalk application (again in admin console),  --> select the schema ---> right click the schema you wan to remove  (Property schema) and click remove.

  • SSDT Schema Compare puts objects in the root of project instead of the correct schema

    Hello,
    Since last week I encountered a problem when synchronizing my database project with a database.
    When I try to sync new objects (tables / sp's / views) the *.sql scripts are put in the root of my project directory instead of the directory with corresponding schema (schema folder already exists!). Every time after I do a sync I have to manually put all
    the scripts in the right folders.
    I have a SQL Server 2014 Project in VS 2013 (update 4).
    Version 12.0.31101.00
    SSDT 12.0.41025.0
    .NET Framework 4.5.50938
    I haven't had a VS update since the last release in November. Can this be caused by Windows Updates?
    Anyone else with this problem?
    Mohsine

    I think this is "one of those things".
    When you initially create a project by importing objects from an existing database you have a couple of options for project layout; schema/object type or object type only.
    When adding new objects, I don't think there's any way to tell SSDT where in the project you want these located.
    However, it is possible to drag and drop objects from the SQL Server Object Explorer into folders in solution explorer - with no guarantees that this won't break your build in the event that the "dragged in" object references other objects not
    present in the project. As far as I'm aware, this capability is not documented anywhere!
    You might want to think about your wider workflow; would it not be easier to create objects directly in the project rather than creating in SSMS (for example) and subsequently importing?

  • [bug 10.1.3 EA1 Database Diagram]  edit error after schema change

    If you change the schema of a table definition in a Database Diagram and then attempt to edit the table definition, you get the following error:
    Editing is disabled.
    Error opening <table_name> - duplicate object definitions exist on the database path.
    The current node is: <path to .table file in old schema folder>
    Operations are diabled on all but the first object found on the database path: <path to .table file in new schema folder>
    Workaround is to close JDeveloper and re-open. Table definitions are then editable.
    Johnny Lee

    Thanks for reporting this Johnny.
    I was able to reproduce the problem in the EA1 release but it is working correctly in the latest build.
    Thanks again,

  • Schema customization

    hello,
    I have one messaging server running with customized schema with some object classes and attributes.
    I am preparing a new server. How could I get that scheam to the new server.
    What are the complete steps for this.
    Do i require to only copy the schema file from the old server to new server and placing under the directory instance's schema folder? or are there other steps also need to be followed.
    thanks

    I am preparing a new server. How could I get that scheam to the new server.This would depend on the version of directory server and what utility/method was used to customise the schema. A better place to ask this question is the directory server forum:

  • Share XSD schemas among BPEL projects?

    Hello,
    Does anyone know how to share XSD schemas among BPEL projects?
    I am using the GS1 XML Standard for a project. But I just want to maintain only one copy of this consolidated XML schema. Now I have to copy the whole schema folder to each BPEL project to use them.
    By the way, I can assign the application directory for the schema by using "../../something", but I can't assign the absolute path in WSDL. And how about during the deployment?
    Thanks and regards,
    Kerr

    You can copy XSD's into <ORACLE_SOA_HOME>/bpel/system/xmllib folder and access them using the following url:
    http://<HOST NAME>:<PORT>/orabpel/xmllib/<XSD PATH>
    for example - http://localhost:8888/orabpel/xmllib/Mail.xsd

  • DI Server xml schemas

    I am using the xml schema for various Business Objects provided to us in the schema folder as a reference, but I was wondering if I needed to include all of the xml tags in the schema if some of the values will be set to null.  Thanks.

    I break out the helpfile for the DI api. RefDI.chm I believe.  In that file, you will have a list of all of the objects in SBO.  Each object has details on it's properties and methods. Even though you are using SOAP and the DI server your data eventually goes through the same com layer as if you had used the DI com component as a reference in your project. Therefore, the same rules will generally apply.

  • Error installing Sample Schemas in Oracle XE11

    Hi,
    I have successfully installed Oracle Database Express Edition 11g Release 2. With this installation, I think that only the HR schema is available and I can see that at this location on my computer- C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\demo\Schema
    I wanted to install the OE, PM, IX and SH schemas too - I think these are available as download with the standard database installation. I downloaded the sample database zip file (Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Examples) from here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-win64soft-094461.html
    I double clicked the setup.exe file and the first step of installation involves specifying the location - I entered the following paths for the location. (I did take care to empty the Schemas folder based on the initial error message I got)
    For the Oracle Base : C:\oraclexe
    For the software location: C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\demo\Schemas
    I am still getting the following error messages -
    [INS-32025] The chosen installation conflicts with software already installed in the given Oracle home.
    [INS-52001] Oracle Database Examples can only be installed into an existing Oracle Home.
    Unless I see these schemas in the Oracle home, I cannot run the scripts to create the schemas. Is there anyway, that I can install these Oracle Database schemas for use in Oracle XE?
    Please help
    Thanks
    NAD

    Under the OTN downloads license, in which agreement you entered to download and use Examples, you could also get EE for self-educational purposes etc. (see OTN License Agreement).
    Any particular reason you want to install these schemas in XE instead of EE/PE?

    Is there anyway, that I can install these Oracle Database schemas for use in Oracle XE?See my response in thread about SH, which you could use as a guide to (try to) install remaining schema.
    SH SCHEMA in oracle XE ?
    Note the ordering:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10831/installation.htm#I4367
    You may need to also drop the XE included HR and install HR from Examples -- I'm not sure the one built in is the full Sample HR schema.

  • Testing a Schema using XAI Schema editor.

    Hi All,
    I am trying to test a Schema in XAI using XAI Schema editor, buit getting every time error "device not ready".
    Do i need to configure XAI Toolkit before using.
    Thanks,
    MK

    Are you accessing server's 'Schema' folder from a client machine? this seems to be network error instead.
    Verify that the mapped/shared drive is accessible before testing the service using Schema Editor.
    I think you are able to successfully test the service using XAI Submission.

  • How do I add Panic Transmit Favorites to MobileMe's Sync Preferences?

    I know that I just need to go to a folder but I'm not sure where it was. I thought that it was in the /User/Library/Application Support/Schemas folder, but I only see that on my MobileMe but not locally on my machine. Does anyone know where I can find the folder on the Finder in order to add my Favorites from Panic Transmit back into the Sync Preferences for MobileMe?

    Be careful rephrasing Terminal commands so people don't put the extra text you added afterwards. It's just:
    ~/Library/Application\ Support/Transmit/TransmitSync.app/Contents/MacOS/TransmitSync --registerClient

  • How do I properly manage audio files with iTunes?

    Hello Dear Readers,
    I am going to start using iTunes exclusively for my music collection management. Previously, I had only used iTunes for managing content for my iPhone 4. Now, I am wanting to import all of my media (music) files into iTunes for general use and playback.
    For example, I have over 3,000 music files, and I would like to know the best way to get them into iTunes. From a lynda.com training video about using iTunes, I learned that there is a folder called "Automatically Add to iTunes", which is monitored by iTunes for new files to import into the iTunes library. However, I would like to know if this is the *best* way to do this. For example, can I just*move* my 3,000 music files into this 'Automatically Add' folder and then let iTunes do its thing?
    Will iTunes *move*the files that it is able to manage OUT of this folder and into one of its managed folders, such that there would be no duplicate file left behind? Is it correct in saying that the files that are left in this folder that were not able to be handled by iTunes and must be handled differently before they can be imported into iTunes. Or is there just an all around different, and better, way to get these music files into iTunes? Thanks for your advice and opinions!
    There is also the issue of what to do with the commercial CDs I have (less than 50).  I would like to discard these and just maintain them on digital form, e.g., my 2 TB hard drive.  However, I am getting varying opinions as to how to do this.  I need 2 things:  1) to archive the CDs for retrieval later in case I need the songs that are on them, and 2) MP3 versions of the audio CD files for use on my flash drive which plays on my car audio system.  These would also be the files that I manage in iTunes.
    Some people have suggested using Exact Audio Copy to make a FLAC and a LAME MP3 copy of myCDs.  Others have suggested keeping an ISO copy of the compact discs for reference archive. Personally, I am wondering if I should just import my commercial CDs directly into iTunes, and then pay Apple $25 annually to maintain copies of these, as announced by Steve Jobs at the WWDC that this cloud functionality was forthcoming.
    I am in need of some informed, educated opinions and suggestions as to how I should proceed.
    Then, there is also the naming convention of the files.  When the files get ripped from CD, I can add the freedb information to them for the ID3 tagging.  However, I need to know how to specify in what system that the file names are comprised. This is what I am thinking of as my folder and file name format, at this point.
    For the naming scheme of the audio files, I am proposing the following:
    For most music by 1 artist on a disc, I would do as follows:
    Folder Name: AlbumArtist - Album Title (year)
    File Names:  Track number (from 1 on up, with NO leading zeros) Track Title
    For compilations with various artists, I would use the following for the schema:
    Folder Name: VariousArtists (album artist) - Album Title (year)
    File Names:  Track number (1 on up) Track Title - Track Artist.
    Do these seem like reasonable naming schemes that would be good for using on all audio software and equipment, such as my iPhone, my car audio flash drive player, and in iTunes?
    I know that this is a lot to ask, but I am just trying to learn how to do things correctly and most efficiently so that I don't have problems down the road with my iTunes library.  I welcome input, discussion and of course, dissent!  Thanks!
