SCM 3 Group setting name limited character?

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to add in a setting to allow RDP session for a MDT default GPO with the following path
Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Session Host\ Connections\ “Allow users to connect remotely using Remote Desktop Services”
However there is a limited number of characters i can use for the Setting Groups name ( the maximum character is up to Windows Component) and it don't seem to appear in the list after i created 1.
I can still see it when i wanted to delete it though. Just downloaded SCM 3 so don't mind me if i'm missing something obvious. The other default group settings' name has a much longer comparable to the 1 im creating. So am i missing something obvious?

Yep there appears to be a character limit on the categories.  When importing or using the canned baselines you can see them using many characters, however if you edit one of these or create your own you will hit that character limit.
This also manifests as an issue when you try and export an imported baseline to ConfigMgr DCM GPOPack.  In certain scenarios it will overwrite an XML in the export, thus failing when importing into ConfigMgr.  It has to do with the way SCM saves
the XML categories by using the first letter of each word to make smaller filenames, i.e -
- imported baseline contains two categories for firewall (Public and Private) :
Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Windows Firewall with Advanced Security\Windows Firewall with Advanced Security\Windows Firewall Properties\Public
Profile\Logging
Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Windows Firewall with Advanced Security\Windows Firewall with Advanced Security\Windows Firewall Properties\Private
Profile\Logging
- when exported to ConfigMgr DCM xmls, one of them overwrites the other as it tries to save them both with the filename C_W_S_W_W_W_P_Logging.xml.
ConfigMgr fails when importing the GPOPack as the reference index XML file is expecting two CIs (configuration items) linked to two XMLs, but only one XML exists.

  • Email Delivery problem from Mailman to Exchange 2010 SP3 - Invalid Character Set Name in Message Subject

    Dear all,
    we have a problem in the email delivery from Mailman 2.6 List Server to Exchange 2010 SP3 CU7,
    related to the encoding name of the Message Subject.
    The error we receive is the following:
    #550 5.6.0 CAT.InvalidContent.Exception: InvalidCharsetException, Character set name (iso8859-7) is invalid or not installed.;
    cannot handle content of message with InternalId
    First of all, we can notice that given an encoding name as 'iso-8859-X',  it is transformed by the Mailman to 'iso8859-X' (without the first dash).
    Our previous Exchange version ( Exchange 2003) didn't have any problem with this, but now,
    Microsoft Exchange 2010 doesn't like the form of the encoding name without the dash,
    and bounces the emails from Mailman.
    The strange is that other email systems like Gmail, Yahoo accept the transformed encoding name.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Kind Regards

    Hi Panagiotis,
    Base on my search, I found a similar issue which was caused by the antivirus software in exchange server.
    I recommend you try to disable all the antivirus services and check if any helps.

  • Recordsets disappear from menu when adding mysql_query ("SET NAMES 'utf8'"); below the connection in php

    I hope someone can help with this. I'm trying to create a
    dynamic site using dreamweaver CS3, with php5 and mysql5 in the
    background but I'm having difficulty with recordsets disappearing
    from the server behaviour menu when tweaking the code to allow set
    characters or set names for utf8.
    For a while, I've been having a problem getting my
    dynamically generated master list pages (eg lists of jobs) to
    display international characters like an accented french e (and
    other languages) and for these to display correctly when viewed in
    phpmyadmin also. So, I've placed headers at the top of the page for
    utf8 and created the content metatag for utf8 in the page code.
    Where needed I've added ENT_QUOTES utf etc for htmlentities and
    added accept-charset utf-8 in the <form> action area.
    (one thing I haven't done in the form action area is add
    <enctype="multipart/form-data">, but I'm not sure if this
    will make any difference)
    In the backend, the innoDB database is collated and built
    using utf8_unicode_ci. I'm on a shared host -so can't directly
    access php.ini or adjust the connection settings through
    phpmyadmin. But I can write .htaccess files (currently with the
    defaultcharset set to utf8 also).
    At this point - all list pages display the correct characters
    when retrieved from the database - indicating that the headers are
    working. But - in phpmyadmin the letters are garbled, and garbled
    on return on update forms (content management). I solved this by
    adding the &#xxxx; equivalents in insert and update forms to
    display the text correctly on the list pages - but again it's not
    convenient to see all of this in phpmyadmin, as I'd like to be able
    to read it there as it should be, and to dispense with the need to
    add &#xxxx references on the insert and update forms.
    So...a bit of searching, and I read that in order for the
    international characters to display in phpmyadmin correctly, I
    needed to amend my php page code so that for all instances where I
    see the connection to the database, before the SELECT, INSERT and
    DELETE queries, I need to add either mysql_set_charset('utf8',
    $connection) or use three lines of code referencing mysql_query SET
    NAMES, SET CHARACTER SET and SET COLLATION_CONNECTION for utf8.
    I did that, and it removed all of my recordsets in the
    sidebar menu! Not too good. I'm left with a task of rebuilding
    pages now.
    So I placed the mysql_set_charset line in the connection.php
    file in the DW Connections folder below the connection there
    instead. [I didn't precede the mysql etc line with a $ sign - I
    wonder if that's the issue?]
    With this change I could use the Insert forms to add the
    international characters directly into the database and see through
    phpmyadmin that all was hunky dory. But then the problems came with
    first loads of the master list page.
    So, I can get international characters into the database now
    (which is a step in the right direction for me), using an insert
    form on the website, but I still can't get the international
    characters to display on the returned page on first loading eg on a
    list of jobs. Note that the detail pages display fine when clicking
    the master links, and when I return from the detail page back to
    the master list - the characters are ok. They just don't seem to
    display when the master page loads for the first time which is
    really perplexing me.
    I suspect that I need to add the mysql_set_charset line below
    the $connection and before the selects, inserts etc at all
    instances on the webpage, but this just removes the recordset from
    the menu, so this doesn't seem to be a good option.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction as I'm been stuck
    on this for ages. It may be something simple like adding $ in front
    of the mysql_query, but then again maybe not.
    I've tried other forums - but people seem to be content with
    viewing but not offering assistance. I don't believe that what I'm
    doing here hasn't been done before....all I want is for my pages to
    display international characters and for these to display correctly
    in phpmyadmin so that when I insert, update and delete records
    using webforms I don't have to resort to using &#xxx inserts.
    Help please!

    Usually you only need to send a SET NAMES 'utf8' right after
    the
    connection to the DB has been established. That way all data
    that is
    transferred between the DB and your script will be handled as
    UTF-8.

    I've never used mysql_set_charset().
    Here in my applications it always works like this:
    * the default charset in my InnoDB tables is ISO-8859-1, I
    only use
    UTF-8 in the columns that really need it (text data, but not
    INT or
    DATE columns)
    * SET NAMES 'utf8' at the beginning
    * all files (HTML and PHP) are encoded as UTF-8 without BOM
    * all pages delivered as UTF-8 (my pages are
    script-generated, so I use
    an appropriate header() call to define the content-type and
    encoding)
    That's it. Oh, and I don't use phpMyAdmin ...

    In the first part of your posting it sounded as if it worked
    almost
    correctly, before you tried to fix the broken phpMyAdmin
    appearance.
    Is that correct?

    They did display correctly first, didn't they? So it seems
    that you
    broke your script just in order to fix some PMA problem.
    Revert that.
    Make your script work for normal input/output from/to a
    website first
    and don't worry about PMA for now.
    What do you need PMA for BTW? It may have many other issues
    as well and
    should only be used if really necessary or if you're not
    familiar with
    the command line interface. The only thing that we are using
    it is to
    get a dump from a remote DB, where I don't have shell access
    to call
    mysqldump directly (yes, I could also write a little PHP
    script for
    that, it's already somewhere on my TODO). But here on my
    local system I
    always use the MySQL command prompt if I have to directly
    work on some
    tables or to import the dump from remote.
    Anyway, if you need PMA, your might try their group or forum.
    I'm sure
    there's an FAQ as well. Maybe it's just a configuration
    issue.

    The bug here is PMA itself. ;-)

  • Unable to change group text name or add person to some group texts in iOS 8

    I really like the ability to change group text names as it helps me separate work group texts from personal especially when I have coworkers that have separate business phones. I'm unable to change the name of some group texts as the option is not there when I go into details. I'm also unable to add contact to the same group texts that I'm unable to change the name on. Is this a glitch or am I missing something?

    Hi CaliWingsFan,
    If you are having issues with renaming and adding users to group texts, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
    First, quit all running applications and test again -
    iOS: Force an app to close
    Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
    Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
    If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
    iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

  • Isse with using Grouping Sets in SQL Server 2008 R2

    Hi,
    I created a query in SQL Server 2012 using grouping sets that works fine.  When I try to use the same query in SQL Server 2008 I get an error ("Inccorrect syntax near SETS").
    I researched using grouping sets in 2008 and didn't see any issue with my query.  What is different in grouping sets 2008 vs 2012?
    SELECT tl.ClientRegionCd as [Client Region Code] , tl.ClientRegionDesc as [Region Name], count(tl.CompleteICN) as [Trauma Letters Sent]
    from TORT_Trauma_Letters tl
    Where CONVERT(VARCHAR(26), tl.SecondNoticeSent, 23) between '2014-06-12' and '2014-06-12'
    GROUP BY GROUPING SETS((tl.ClientRegionCd, tl.ClientRegionDesc), ())

    For your result you can simply achieve your result with UNION ALL, e.g.
    select Client, Region, Letters
    from myTable
    UNION ALL
    select NULL, NULL, SUM(letters) as Letters

  • How to set or change character set for Oracle 10 XE

    Installing via RPM on Linux.
    I need to have my database set to use UTF8 and WE8ISO8859P15 as the character set and national character set. (Think those are in the right order. If not, it's the opposite.)
    If I do a standard "yum localinstall rpm-file-name," it installs Oracle. I then run the "/etc/init.d/oracle-xe configure" command to set my ports.
    Every time I do this, I end up with AL32/AL16 character sets.
    I finally hardcoded ISO-8859-15 as the Linux 'locale' character set and set this in the various bash profile config files. Now, I end up with WE8MSWIN1252 as the character set and AL16UTF16 as the national character set.
    I've tried editing the createdb.sh script to hard code the character set types and then copied that file over the original while the RPM is still installing. I've tried editing the nls_lang.sh script to hard code the settings there and copied over the original shell script while the RPM is still installing.
    Doesn't matter.
    HOW can I do this? If I wait until after the RPM is installed and try running the createdb.sh file, then it ends up creating a database but not doing everything properly. I end up missing pfiles or spfiles. Various errors crop up.
    If I try to change them from the sql command line, I am told that the new character set must be a superset of the old one. It fails.
    I'm new to Oracle, so I'm treading water that's uncharted. In short, I need community help. It's important to the app I'm running and attempting to migrate from to maintain these character sets.
    Thanks.

    I don't think you can change Oracle XE character set. When downloading Oracle XE you must choose to download:
    - either the Universal Edition using AL32UTF8
    - or the Western Euopean Edition using WE8MSWIN1252.
    See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25329_01/doc/install.102/b25144/toc.htm#BABJACJJ
    If you really need UTF8 instead of AL32UTF8 you need to use Oracle Standard Edition or Oracle Entreprise Edition:
    these editions allow to select database character set at database creation time which is not really possible with Oracle XE
    Note that changing environment variable NLS_LANG has nothing to do with changing database character set:

    How to set Internet limits to particular user by gpo ?
    Thanks & Regards, Amol . Amol Dhaygude

    Hi,
    >>How to set Internet limits to particular user by gpo ?
    What Internet limits do you want to set for specific users? Group Policy user settings can be configured to apply to specific users, like via security filtering or GPP item-level targeting. The path for Internet Explorer policy settings under User Configuration
    is: User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer.
    You can also use GPP Internet Settings extension to manage IE settings and use GPP ILT to apply the settings to specific users. However, GPP settings can be edited by standard users after getting applied.
    Regarding GPP Internet Settings extension, the following article can be referred to for more information.

  • GROUP BY GROUPING SETS Clarification of Format

    Hello.
    I am trying to validate the answers to 2 questions I have listed below.
    Would it be possible for someone to assist me with clarifying these 2 questions and answer statements? Please clarify the portion of the answer that is in
    Bold Text and Italicized. Why is one answer enclosed in brackets and the other not?
    Basically I need to figure out how to determine the syntax of these parenthesis and why they differ from each question. Is it a format issue or is it based on how the question is asked.
    Question #1-
    You are a developer for a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 database instance used to support a customer service application.
    You create tables named complaint, customer, and product as follows:
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[complaint] ([ComplaintID] [int], [ProductID] [int], [CustomerID] [int], [ComplaintDate] [datetime]);
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[customer] ([CustomerID] [int], [CustomerName] [varchar](100), [Address] [varchar](200), [City] [varchar](100), [State] [varchar](50), [ZipCode] [varchar](5));
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[product] ([ProductID] [int], [ProductName] [varchar](100), [SalePrice] [money], [ManufacturerName] [varchar](100));
    You need to write a query to sum the sales made to each customer who has made a complaint by the following entries:
    ·Each customer name
    ·Each product name
    ·The grand total of all sales
    Which SQL query should you use?
    SELECT c.CustomerName, p.ProductName, SUM(p.SalePrice) AS Sales
    FROM product p
    INNER JOIN complaint com ON p.ProductID = com.ProductID
    INNER JOIN customer c ON com.CustomerID = c.CustomerID
    GROUP BY GROUPING SETS ((c.CustomerName), (p.ProductName), ());
    Question #2 -
    You are a developer for a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 database instance.
    You create tables named order, customer, and product as follows:
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[order] ([OrderID] [int], [ProductID] [int], [CustomerID] [int],[OrderDate] [datetime]);
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[customer] ([CustomerID] [int], [CustomerName] [varchar](100),[Address] [varchar](200), [City] [varchar](100), [State] [varchar](50),
    [ZipCode] [varchar](5));
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[product] ([ProductID] [int], [ProductName] [varchar](100), [SalePrice] [money], [ManufacturerName] [varchar](100));
    You need to write a query to sum the sales made to each customer by the following entries:
    ·The Customer name and product name
    ·The grand total of all sales
     Which SQL query should you use?
    SELECT c.CustomerName,p.ProductName,SUM(p.SalePrice) AS Sales
    FROM product p
    INNER JOIN [order] o ON p.ProductID = o.ProductID
    INNER JOIN customer c ON o.CustomerID = CustomerID
    GROUP BY GROUPING SETS ((c.CustomerName, p.ProductName), ());
    Your help would be highly appreciated. :)
    Thanks

    Its just to identify the GROUPING SET.When you enclose, the grouping would take for the combination.
    Ok, it would be better to see with an example as below:
    create table T1 (Col1 Varchar(100),Col2 int,Col3 int)
    Insert into T1 Select 'SQL',10,100
    Insert into T1 Select 'SQL',11,100
    Insert into T1 Select 'Oracle',20,500
    SELECT p.col1,p.col2,SUM(p.col3) AS Sales
    FROM T1 p
    GROUP BY GROUPING SETS ((p.Col1,p.Col2), ());/*Oracle 20 500
    SQL 10 100
    SQL 11 100
    NULL NULL 700*/
    SELECT p.col1,p.col2,SUM(p.col3) AS Sales
    FROM T1 p
    GROUP BY GROUPING SETS ((p.Col1),(p.Col2), ());
    /*NULL 10 100
    NULL 11 100
    NULL 20 500
    NULL NULL 700
    Oracle NULL 500
    SQL NULL 200*/
    Drop table T1

  • Grouping Sets with Version 1.1

    Has anyone tried to do a query using grouping sets in version 1.1? Everytime I try I get:
    Error report:
    SQL Error: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
    00604. 00000 - "error occurred at recursive SQL level %s"
    *Cause:    An error occurred while processing a recursive SQL statement
    (a statement applying to internal dictionary tables).
    *Action:   If the situation described in the next error on the stack
    can be corrected, do so; otherwise contact Oracle Support.

    I can't imagine why SQL Developer would use more cursors than other tools as it is essentially just sending the sql statement to the database using jdbc. There were some problems with cursor leaks in earlier versions but I believe those were fixed.
    Try this query from another session. It shows current and accumulated cursors. Run it when you start sqldeveloper, and before and after running the query.
    select sid, name,value
    from v$sesstat sess
    inner join v$statname stat
      on sess.statistic#=stat.statistic#
    where sess.sid=<your session sid>
    and name like 'opened%';

  • Average getting calculated incorrectly using group by grouping sets

    Hi All
    I am using the group by grouping sets to calulate the running totals of aggregate functions like count, sum & avg.
    I get the grand totals of count & sum perfectly right but with avg i am getting the averages incorrectly as the number of rows retrieved by the select query increases.
    With few rows (3-4) the averages are round about correct but when the number of rows retreived increase say 5 or more than 5 I get absurd average figures
    Here is the query I am using
    <code>
    select AGENT.NAME,
         sum(decode(ACTIVITY.status,'New',1)) cnt,
                   sum(decode(ACTIVITY.status,'Open',1)) sumopen ,
         round(avg( decode (ACTIVITY.status,'Open',ACTIVITY.STATUS_DIFF)),0) avgopen,
              sum(decode(ACTIVITY.status,'Sent',1)) sumsent,
         round(avg( decode (ACTIVITY.status,'Sent',ACTIVITY.STATUS_DIFF)),0) avgsent,
                   sum(decode(ACTIVITY.status,'Dead',1)) sumdead,
         round(avg( decode (ACTIVITY.status,'Dead',ACTIVITY.STATUS_DIFF)),0) avgdead
                   from ACTIVITY, REQUEST , AGENT
                   where
                   REQUEST.DEALER_NUMBER = AGENT.DEALER_ID
                   and REQUEST.CONFIRMATION='Y'
                   and REQUEST.REQUEST_ID = ACTIVITY.REQUEST_ID
                   and REQUEST.REQUEST_TYPE='B'
                   and ACTIVITY.ACTIVITY_DATE between to_date('2006-01-01 ','YYYY-MM-DD') and to_date('2006-08-31','YYYY-MM-DD')
                   group by grouping sets((AGENT.DEALER_ID,AGENT.NAME), ())
    </code>
    Do let me know your suggestions
    Regards

    Not sure but may be
    See below query
    SQL> SELECT deptno,ROUND(AVG(sal))
      2  FROM emp
      3  GROUP BY ROLLUP(deptno,sal+rownum);
        DEPTNO ROUND(AVG(SAL))
            10            1300
                          2450
                          5000
                         "2917"      ---Sub total
           20             800
                          1100
                          2975
                          3000
                          3000
                         "2175"      ---Sub total
          30               950
                          1250
                          1250
                          1500
                          1600
                          2850
                         "1567"    ---Sub total
                         "2073"   ----Grand total
    18 rows selected.
    Now you want
    SQL> SELECT (2917+2175+1567)/3 FROM dual;
    (2917+2175+1567)/3
            2219.66667
    While it is
    SQL> SELECT ROUND(SUM(sal)/COUNT(*)) FROM emp;
    ROUND(SUM(SAL)/COUNT(*))
