SCP Protocol with XI?

Hi, we have to communicate with a site using SCP as the file transfer protocol. Can this be done with XI? Is there a special adapter needed or available? Does anybody have done communication with a SCP site and has a solution for it?
Just questions, but I hope that somebody has an answer. Thanks a lot,
Daniel

The scenario is that we are sending daily two flat files with order and invoice information out of SAP to that customer as well as picking one file up to be loaded into SAP daily.
The customer has a server setup for communication using the SCP protocol. We basically have to access a directory on this server and retrieve the one file and post the two other files.
We actually do have something of a solution now, by using an intermediary communication server that can do SCP. On there we run a Win/DOS script that gets the files in/from the XI in/out folders serving as a communication agent.
We are on a tight schedule, and this is probably the easiest solution for just now.
Thanks,
Daniel

  • Help needed to start HTTP Protocol with timeout

I am looking for information to point me in the right direction. I would like to create a class that would implement the HTTP protocol and would allow the user to specify a timeout if unable to connect to the server. I have used the URL and HttpURLConnection classes before, but have not used any of the other classes in the java.net package. I am just trying to create an app that will download a file from a specified URL. Something that I could use in the future and something to get more programming experience using the java.net package.
    Could you tell me:
    1) Which classes I would need to use to help implement a timeout
    2) Where I can find an example or other information on how to implement the HTTP protocol with the class from question 1 above.
    TIA for any information

That would definately reduce the coding time but would
do little to help with my understanding of classes in
the java.net package or to gather a better
understanding of the HTTP protocol. :-)
That said, I am currently downloading the 1.5 beta to
see what they have done.If it's just an academic thing to re-invent the wheel (code) that deals with the HTTP protocol, then go right ahead (ok, you don't need my permission).

  • Associate a file type or protocol with a program.

I have Windows Vista… and I tried to change the program to open file .url "Internet Shortcut" with Safari, I went to Start > Control Panel > Default Programs > Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
The 'Associate a file type or protocol with a program' dialog box is displayed.
Under the 'Extensions' heading, select '.url' and click the 'Change program…' button.
The 'Open With' dialog box is displayed.
But, Safari does not appear in the list of 'Recommended Programs', then click the 'Browse…' button.
A second 'Open With' dialog box is displayed, - Program Files - Safari - Safari.exe - Click 'Open' to open .url files with Safari, but Safari does not appear - continue IExplorer -
Safari is my default browser, but IExplorer has 3 out of 9 defaults (.mht, .mhtml, .url) and Safari has 8 out of 9 defaults (except .url)
Why Safari set as Default Browser does not open .url files (Internet Shortcut) ???
Any help will be appreciate. Thanks.

yes, it's not in your list of recommended programs.
Click Browse and find your "Safari.exe" file.
If you can't find Safari.exe, do a search for files and click "Advanced" to search for system and hidden files too.

  • Using the opmn:ormi protocol with multiple nodes

    Hi
If I use the opmn:ormi protocol with multiple nodes, will it load balance between the nodes or will it simply try to connect to the first node and if it can't it will connect to the second node?.
Instead of specifying multiple nodes can I set the host to point to a load balancer?
    Which solution is best?

  • How do I associate a protocol with a program?

I want to associate the 'cel' protocol with celestia so I can open cel:// urls but i'm not sure how to do it.

    Opera:
Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Programs and clicking "Add". Enter "cel" in the protocol field and enter "celestia" in the "Open with other application" field.
Repeat one more time with cel+http as the protocol.
    Firefox:
Create a .js file in /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.1/defaults/pref.
    celestia.js:
    pref("network.protocol-handler.app.cel","/usr/bin/celestial");

  • Modbus ASCII software protocol with 8 data bits

    Hi All,
I must communicate (serial) with a Handheld 3016 device (a particle counter from LightHouse). It uses Modbus ASCII software protocol with 8 data bits.
Every Modbus ASCII software protocol, I have been looking through use 7 data bits.
Any kind of Modbus LabVIEW libraries (old one like nimodbus.llb or new one like ni_lib_modbus_library-1.1.5.38.vip) let the chose to “tag” RTU (8 data bits) or ASCII (7 data bits).
*** There is nowhere ASCII with 8 data bits ***
I always get a kind of “framing error”... obviously since I can't set the com ok...
    Any advices??

    Thanks indeed for answering
Have a look at the document attached, page 111, appendix C.

  • This is my first mac - what is the anti virus protocol with a mac?

this is my first mac - what is the anti virus protocol with a mac

Try using ClamXav 2.2.4. If you are not now using a hardware router I highly recommend you do so. Preferably use Ethernet for your local network. If you use wireless be sure it's protected by using WPA2 security.
Use your head and don't download something when you don't know what it is, what it does, or where it's from. Stay off of unknown websites and don't click links if you think you're not sure what will happen.

  • Error accessing protocols with JAXM 1.1.2 Provider Admin Tool

I installed JAXM 1.1.2 with JWSDP 1.2 on W2K Pro according the instructions under the JAXM doc's "Integration with JWSDP" link. The samples seem to be working. However, when I start the JAXM Provider Admin tool and drill down to one of the protocols (e.g., Profiles > SOAPRP > HTTP), the server throws an exception. I tried this on two different machines and got the same result. The jaxm-provider webapp's provider.xml looks reasonable. Anyone have any idea what's going on?
    Thanks,

  • Mailto protocol with Outlook Express

Ok, so this is not the ideal place for this question, but a long search on the net and in these forums and hours of working on the problem have not produced more than a hack result.
Yet I am sure that like me most java web programmers in the end have to face this problem.
The problem (and we've all heard this before) is that Microsoft's email client behaves unlike all the others, whereas in an ideal world it should be possible to programme for all of them at the same.
Here's the problem if you will bear with me.
I would like a clickable link to open the default mail client, insert the email address, a subject, and a body, where users can then play around with it and add what they want before sending the email.
You can do this in two ways.
    1) with a <form action="mailto:[email protected]">
then a hidden or text input field for the subject and a textarea for the body, and a submit button.
This doesn't work very well because it always URLencodes all the subject and body text, which arrives completely unreadable in Outlook Express - perhaps there's a solution to this, but anyway I want everything completely hidden with only the link visible.
    2) Here is the second solution, which works up to a point.
    <a href="mailto:[email protected]?subject=<%= subject %>&body=<%= body %>>some link text</a>
Now for the hard part - I can't get Outlook Express to accept html in any way.  Oddly enough it seems to accept ONE <br> for example, but if there are more than one it encodes the < and the > and the <br> appears in its literal form in the email.
Ok, so if you want carriage returns in Outlook Express just include %0A" and hey presto you have carriage returns in the body of the email.
But lets say I now want to format text bold or similar, which can't be done without html. And anyway "%0A" doesn't work with other email clients, where I end up with a horrible flat mess without carriage returns.
Now if I send html to most other email clients, they lap it up. Ok, so if we knew the name of the default email client, we might be able to do a bit of programming logic to send "%0A" to one and <br> to the other, but as far as I know there isn't a way to find out the name of the default email client, unlike for browsers.
If I save the email in Outlook Express as an .eml file and take a look at it, it is sticking in its own html, as it always does, but ignoring mine.
So here is my question: Is there a way of forcing Outlook Express to accept my html? This would enable me to programme for nearly all email clients and I would also be able to use formatted text.

I think to be honest that the answer is that Microsoft has (for once) stuck to the specification,Yes,.... a very strange thing for MS to have done. Normally, they would've added all kinds of special things.
Generally, I'd expect that the body value would be URL decoded first and then it would treat is as HTML (since plain text is no different then HTML, it just has no tags). However, that mailto protocol is fairly old and not so commonly used outside of defining the To address, so it wouldn't surprise me to hear that these things were implemented years ago and not touched since.
