Screens that allow Embedded Components

Hi All,
I have a screen (ProjectGAFEnhancedController_GAF) that I am required to extend via an embedded component. It has an OutportAnchor which gives me the option to add an embedded component but when I try to do so, i get the message: The selected outport does not reference a PaneContainerAnchor. Is it possible to extend this screen? Also, is there a published list of screens that allow extensibility via Embedded Components? It is rather frustrating to have to open up each screen one-by-one to see whether or not it allows an Embedded Component. Especially given the speed of the ui designer.

Flash is dead. Nobody uses Flash video anymore; not even YouTube because mobile and tablet devices can't support it. The trend now is to use HTML5 video which is supported by all modern web devices. In addition, HTML5 video has default player and control bar which supports full screen mode (icon with 4 arrows). So no 3rd party player is required.
To give you an example, copy & paste this code into a new, blank document. SaveAs video_test.html and preview in browsers.

Rather, there is a new Preferences/Privacy screen that allows you to manipulate cookies, but it is not as easy to use as when cookies were on the security screen. Was this an update? Has this change affected anyone else? This is strange, because Safari Help still states cookies are manipulated on the Security screen, even though the screen has changed and no longer addresses cookies.

Presuming you're referring to Safari 5.1, yes, it's moved, but I don't see it as being harder. Now you can clear all privacy-related items - cookies, cache and history - with one button, the "Remove All Website Data" button. If you want to work with individual cookies, it's still just one button, the "Details" button. So no, I don't see it as being more difficult.

Failed while scanning for CD / DVD drives, error 2380.
Error while opening iTunes CD driver. This could be caused by a corrupted iTunes file or a conflict with other older CD burning applications, either currently installed or previously installed and uninstalled incorrectly.
With that one, I'd start with solution 3 from the following document:
iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install

Connect the iPod to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (on iTunes 11 you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and on the right-hand side of iTunes there should be a series of tabs - on the Summary tab there should be a 'manually manage music and videos' tickbox.

Using Manager Self Service, we would like to be able to have our users change the job title, department etc. of their 'reports' i.e. their employees. Is there a way to do this using standard Manager Self Service functionality?

Yes, it is possible to change the department related changes through Manager self service using function Change Cost Center, Location and Manager and it is possible to change the job using Change Job.

Using Cap6, need to create menu screen that allows user to click a button, branch to other screens, and return to main menu. When returning to the main screen the button that was clicked will be grayed out or inactive. How do I do this? I created image

I am trying to emulate a piece of equipment. I need the user to be able to click on specific buttons that will take the user to another screen(s). After viewing those screens the user will be directed back to the main screen where the user would know which buttons had been pressed and which still needed to be pressed. I create image buttons with the 3 states - that worked except when the user returns the slide is reset and so the user does not see the 3rd state of the button. How can I get that 3rd state to stay after user returns to the main screen?

Since I just did this morning what you are currently attempting to do, I thought I'd share my method. I must provide a disclaimer and tell you that I am not an expert in Captivate advanced actions--like you, I am still figuring them out. However, I am happy to share here anything I have learned thus far.
First, here is what my initial slide looks like (see interaction slide below). I created all of the icons (including the 'grayed out' icon on the second screenshot) in a few minutes using Adobe Illustrator. The icons have been imported as custom multi-state buttons so that I could have the desired effect when the user hovers over the image--the yellow 'explore' flag appears only when the mouse is over the icon. When the learner click either image, they are sent to the corresponding slide. Once both slides are viewed, a 'continue' button will appear at the base of the screen (something I've not figured out--I sent an email to Lieve begging for some guidance).
The initial slide (interaction slide):
Second, here is a depiction of what happens when the learner returns to the interactive slide from the content slide (see image below): Once the learner visits the 'Battery Content' slide and then returns to the interaction slide, the images have changed. The multi-state button is hidden (through the advanced action), the replacement image (the image with the completed banner over it) is shown, and a hidden click box to allow the user to return to the previously visited page (just in case they desire to do that) is "shown" to allow navigation since the button is no longer there (because it is magically hidden).

Remember, there may be an easier way to do this in Captivate. I am using Cp6 for this module.
1. I created two user variables as follows

2. I created an advanced action for each as shown below (showing only one--duplicate the first and change the names to match the content):

I have also noticed that it matters where the buttons are located on the timeline. It seems best to have buttons above all other content. Not sure why, but I have had images not appear when I have not done this.
And the last step you do not want to forget; you need to remember to tell Captivate to use the action.
As a final note, remember that the elements you do not want to appear on the initial screen must not be initially visible. Make sure to set them to invisible by removing the checkmark in the 'Visible in output' box located next to the button name. In my case, the image of the completed battery and the invisible button to allow a revisit of content was initially hidden. Here is a final screenshot of my timeline for this interaction. I hope this information helps you!

I understand that you need to adjust the password for your Apple ID on your Apple TV. Here are the steps that will help you make that adjustment.
Apple TV
Go to Settings > iTunes Store > Apple IDs.
If you're signed out, choose Add New Apple ID and enter your updated Apple ID or password.
If you're signed in with your previous Apple ID, choose Sign Out, then choose Add New Apple ID and enter your updated Apple ID or password.
For Home Sharing, go to Settings > Computers, then turn off Home Sharing and turn it back on.

Layout that allows overlaping components

I posted this in the general forum, I didn't know there was a swing forum:
I want to implement some kind of swing component, as of right now I'm using a JPane; and painting an image on it, to create tiles of a game board.
The problem is the tiles aren't square and I don't know how to allow the JPanels or JButtons or whatever component is easiest, to overlap in the places i need them to.
Here is an image of the type of tiles I want to use.

Does anyone have any ideas?
Do you think using a JLayeredPane to house all my tiles in would work, with the z-component increasing every row from the middle row?

Well I figured it out, right click the arrow that makes the screen bigger and unclick the Hide Toolbar. I knew it couldn't be that hard.

You can use "Ctrl +" and "Ctrl -" to zoom pages quickly and "Ctr 0" (zero) to reset the page zoom.

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple logo.
Data will not be affected.

Have you tried resetting your iPad? You will not lose any data. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

If the modem is also a router, either use the modem in bridge and run pppoe client on the TC.. that is assuming ADSL or similar eg vdsl. If it is cable service.. and the modem is a router, then bridge the TC.. go to internet page and select connect by ethernet and below that set connection sharing to bridge.
Please tell us more about the modem if the above gives you issues.
