Create an interface with at least one method, in its own package. Create a class in a separate package. Add a protected inner class that implements the interface. In a third package, inherit from your class and, inside a method, return an object of the protected inner class, upcasting to the interface during the return.

Life is essentially simple, we just love to make it complicated. I am quite sure, the effect you are trying to achieve by what you are doing can be done in a much simpler way.
In theory it is fine - on production floor if you do it, being the architect I most definitely am going to fire you.
It is easy to obfuscate code by pulling these kind of stunts - nobody (even you yourself) will understands this later.
Keep your thinking as well as your code and logic simple, systems become easier to build and maintain.
I shall intentionally not answer your question. There are certain knowledge which is better not given - if the potential lies that it shall be used otherwise :D

I had very similar problems with adding the correct JDeveloper .jar files to Tomcat's lib folder, but did eventually resolve my issues.
The problem I am having now, however, is the following error message:

Yes, I have deployed the bc4jhtml.jar file from JDeveloper to Tomcat\common\lib!
My web-app is a very simple BC4J JSP application. I have one BC4J component in its own project and JAR file, and one JSP referencing that BC4J component - I deploy the BC4J JAR along with the WAR file from the JSP project. Needless to say, the JSP works fine within JDeveloper..!
I'm using JDev 9.0.3 and Tomcat 4.1.12. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello. I am installing Oracle 11gR2 RAC using 2 VMs (rac1 and rac2) whose OS are Oracle Linux 5.6 in VMPlayer according to the website http://appsdbaworkshop.blogspot.com/2011/10/11gr2-rac-on-linux-56-using-vmware.html
In order to install Grid Infrastructure, we need to run Cluster Utility Verification (CUV) at first by running the cammand below:
[ora11g@rac1 grid]$ ./runcluvfy.sh stage -pre crsinst -n rac1,rac2 -verbose
Its output:

As you see above, check user equivalence failed. I have run the 4 commands to fix this error as below:

Hello. Thanks a lot for replying.
I have installed Grid Infrastructure a few times. Each time, on step 7 of 9, the installer fixes and checks 2 machines correctly. The entire installation has 3 parts as below:
1) Install Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster
2) Execute Root Scripts for Install Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster (script is root.sh)
3) Configure Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster that includes NCA, ASMCA, PICA and CVU.
Each time, on step 8 of 9, the Installer installs Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster successfully that includes "Prepare, Copy files, Link binaries, Setup files and Perform remote operations".
But when the Installer get to part 3 CVU, it fails and then the Database cannot be installed.
Deinstall Grid is a very complicated process to do. Because of this reason, we need to run CVU at first to make sure everything is correct for 2 machines before install Grid.
Even we ignore "user equivalence (ssh)", we don't know whether other items can be passed or not because CVU cannot proceed to check the machines.
My question is:
How to have the script "runcluvfy.sh" continue to check the machines while confronting "user equivalence failed" ?

How to solve the problem of "promotion failed"

I am new to JVM tuning, could anybody help me and explain how to solve a problem of "promotion failed" as following? (Java 1.6 and the JVM options: -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:NewSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m ):

my questions:
1. why did the promotion failed when the old generation apears to have enough space (5229568+287552=5517120 < 5971968)? muss "promotion failed" by all means be handelt?
2. [CMS: 5229568K->457193K(5971968K), 19.7176579 secs]: is this full GC and is the time of 19.7176579 really pause (stop the world) time?
3. [CMS Perm : 66540K->66458K(110904K)], 20.5878599 secs]: why ist Permanent space collected too? dit it take a time of 20.5878599-19.7176579=0.870202 ? this action apears to be unnessesary (66540K->66458K), is es possible to disable such aktion?
4. how to solve the problem? I read a post of fixing such problem with XX:SurvivorRatio=4 -XX:CMSInitiatingOccupancyFraction=75, But this did not work for my case.
could this problem be due to the fragmentation of old generation space? could the reduce size of PLAB improving reuse of small chunks like -XX:OldPLABSize=16 help in my case? what ist the default value of OldPLABSize of JAVA 6 ? is there any side-effect for the reduce OldPLABSize?

Looks like your old generation has become fragmented and the old space is almost full, or maybe a promoted object is too huge, and there is not enough continue space. Try following:
1> increase the size of old generation.
2> If increase the size of old generation doesnt work , you may try to use G1 algorithm, it may reduce the fragment problem of old generation.

How to solve the issue "OEL 5.6 boot Oracle ASMLib driver: FAILED" ?

Hello. I am installing Oracle 11gR2 RAC using 2 VMs (rac1 and rac2) whose OS are Oracle Linux 5.6 in VMPlayer.
I downloaded Oracle Linux 5.6 Media Pack for x86_64 (file name V24479-01) from https://edelivery.oracle.com/linux.
I have installed OEL 5.6 for VM rac1 and done the follows:
1) install rpm and oracleasm packages for rac1.
2) edit /etc/hosts to set up IP addresses for eth0 and eth1 for rac1 and rac2.
3) edit eth0 and eth1 for rac1 by using command [root@rac1 \]# neat
But when boot the OS, I see "initializing Oracle ASMLib driver: FAILED".
When configure Oracle ASM library driver by running the command:
[root@rac1 /]#/etc/init.d/oracleasm configure -i
Its output "initializing Oracle ASMLib driver: FAILED"
I think the reason is the OS cannot initialize Oracle ASMLib driver. My question is:
Do any folk understand how to solve the issue "OEL 5.6 boot Oracle ASMLib driver: FAILED" ?

I have chosen to use red hat kernel for 64-bit. I run the following command:
[root@rac1 /]# uname -rm
Output: 2.6.18-238.el5x86_64
I have downloaded 4 files for this version of kernel from
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/linux/downloads/rhel5-084877.html as below:
oracleasm-2.6.18-238.el5xen-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm
oracleasm-2.6.18-238.el5debug-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm
oracleasm-2.6.18-238.el5-debuginfo-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm
oracleasm-2.6.18-238.el5-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm
I have installed the 4 files and got the error messages for the first 2 files as below:
[root@rac1 /]# rpm -ivh /home/oracleasm-2.6.18-238.el5xen-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm
Error: Failed dependencies: kernel-xen=2.6.18-238.el5 is needed by oracleasm-2.6.18-238.el5xen-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm
[root@rac1 /]# rpm -ivh /home/oracleasm-2.6.18-238.el5debug-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm
Error: Failed dependencies: kernel-debug=2.6.18-238.el5 is needed by oracleasm-2.6.18-238.el5debug-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm
The last 2 files have been installed successfully. But when reboot Oracle Linux Server-Base 2.6.18-238.el5, I still see :
"Initializing ASMLib driver: FAILED."
[root@rac1 /]#/etc/init.d/oracleasm configure -i
Its output "initializing Oracle ASMLib driver: OK "
My questions are:
Does the issue OS "Initializing Oracle ASMLib driver: FAILED" have effect later ? Do we need to solve it ?

How to solve the exception with socket and PrintWriter constructor

Add e.printStackTrace() or System.out.println(e) to the catch block of the IOException. The IOException has a message about what went wrong.
