Script - Page Number

Hi,
I display page number in each page as &PAGE& of &SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES&, means current page number of total pages. But there are 25 pages in the script. From 11th page to 25th page, the page number is displayed correctly as 11 of 25, 12 of 25........25 of 25. But from 1st page to 10th page, it is displayed as 1 of 2, 2 of 2 ....10 of 2. What may be the error? How do i correct it?
Regards,
Ezhil.

Hello,
You can try :
&PAGE(CZ)& of &SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES(CZ)&
Hope this helps.

  • IS-U print workbench - User exit - to get current page number

    Hi,
    I have a doubt in IS-U print workbench where in I need to get the current page number which is being processed inside the user exit of the application form.
    I have a user exit called Z_EXIT_150 and here I have a subroutine which is inside the LOOP DOC_ITEM …ENDLOOP.
    Inside the subroutine, I need to get the current script page number.
    There is an option of getting the current page as &PAGE& inside the Script but I need to know the page number inside the exit.
    Do you have any idea of getting the current page number?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sakthi.

    Hi Sakthi,
    I have also had this problem while working in IS-U Print Workbench but was also unable to solve.  I tried looking into the output_text that is called when reaching an object that references SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES but I too could not find a way to save PAGE to a variable for later use.
    The only idea I can think of, although I have not tried, would be to place some sort of counter variable in the BUILD_DOCUMENTS and increment the counter each time there is a successful printout of a header logo or some other object that you expect to see printed on each new page - that way maybe you can determine later in the exit processing what page # you are currently in.
    I hope this has helped some.  I would be really interested to hear if someone else has a solution of how to access items in the SAPSCRIPT structure from outside of the SAPscript code.
    Regards,
    Geoff

  • Hiding Image field based on the page number in Adobe Form- Script

    Hi Folks,
    I have a problem with the print form that I am working on. I need to insert an image of lines (OMR) based on the page numbers. For the OMR part, the first page will always have 4 lines as a image, the middle pages will have 3 lines as a image and the last page will have two lines as a image.
    I have uploaded these 3 images a BMPs in SE78 and I am using Xstring of these images in the form. I have two master pages. First master page is for the first page and the second master page is for the remaining pages. The first master page will always have the 4 line image. I created a positioned subform in the master page2, in that subform, I have 2 hidden numeric fields, as the run time properties one for the current page number, other one for the total number of pages. I placed those two images(one for the three line image and the other one for the two line image) exactly on the same location positioned dimensions wise.
    I have written the java script for these two image fields to show based on the page numbering. But, somehow, it is not working. Can anybody please let me know where I am doing wrong. I am posting my java script here.
    for the three line image:
    var cp = data.PageSet.MasterPage2.OMR.cpage.rawValue;
    var np = data.PageSet.MasterPage2.OMR.npages.rawValue;
    //if(data.#pageSet[0].MasterPage2.OMR.cpage.rawvalue == data.#pageSet[0].MasterPage2.OMR.npages.rawvalue){
    for (j=0; j<xfa.layout.pageCount(); j++){
      if(cp == np){
        xfa.resolveNode("data.PageSet.MasterPage2[" + j + "]").OMR.OMR2.presence = "hidden";
      else{
        xfa.resolveNode("data.pageSet.MasterPage2[" + j + "]").OMR.OMR2.presence = "visible";
    For the two line image:
    var cp = data.PageSet.MasterPage2.OMR.cpage.rawValue;
    var np = data.PageSet.MasterPage2.OMR.npages.rawValue;
    for (j=0; j<xfa.layout.pageCount(); j++){

      else{

    HI Otto,
    Thanks for the response. You are right, I am struck with this image. My problem was to keep the OMR marking on each page based on the page number. It is like a lines with 10mmX10mm dimension at the top right corner for the sorter machine to know the number of pages to put in the envelope. The logic for this is, on the first page, it has 4 lines each 3mm apart. On the middle pages it has 3 lines . On the last page it has 2 lines. When the sorter machine picks these, it looks at the first page with 4 lines, it will count as a first page, it will continue through the 3 line pages as the middle pages until it reaches the 2 line to know it as the last page. This is all happens in the master pages. I have two master pages , one for the first page and the second one for the remaining pages.
    At first I did not know how to To achieve this, I created 3 images. one with 4 lines, another ones with 3 lines and 2 lines. The 4 lines image was on the first master page. The 3 lines and 2 lines images were on the second master page at the same place as the image fields positioned. Thats where I was trying this scripting. I was trying to capture the current page and number of pages. Based on these, I was trying to place them.
    Is there any other way to achieve this instead of using the images? I thought of sy-uline. but some in the forum told that its not going to work. Even if I use the sy-uline, I have to do some script to achieve this I believe.
    Any inputs on this.. Please give the direction.
    Thanks,

  • How to you reference the current page number and total pages in a script?

    I'm trying write a small script to make field invisible when the current page equals the total number of pages, but with no luck.
    Can anyone advise how to do this?
    I've tried various ways to reference my fields, this being the most basic:
    if(pageNumber == totalPages) {
    continuedBase.presence = "invisible";
    // pageNumber has a run time property as "Current Page Number"
    // totalPages has a run time property as "Number of Pages"
    // continuedBase is a text field within the same subform as pageNumber and totalPages
    Thanks for any help offered.
    Russell

    If you are asking how to get the current page and total pages you acn use these commands:
    current page ----- xfa.layout.page(this)
    total pages ------ xfa.layout.pageCount()
    so your code woudl look like this:
    app.alert("The curent page is: " + xfa.layout.page(this));
    app.aler("The total number of pages is: " + xfa.layout.pageCount());
    if(xfa.layout.page(this) == xfa.layout.pageCount()) {
    continuedBase.presence = "invisible";

    hi Gurus,
    I am running a packing list for delivery note . Many boxes spread across more than one page. I Need to print page number in Packing list for each box like 1 of 2 , 2 of 2. In the new page for next box , I need to print 1 of 1, 2 of 2. and goes on.
    can you suggest a method to achieve this in script.

    Hi,
    Could you give me the reply for following question?
    1. Are the boxes changing depends on the data? or static size? How many boxes would be displayed in a page?
    2. Is it your own driver program / standard one?
    3. Suppose if you have 5 pages and having 10 boxes, 2 boxes for each page, then do you need to display like,
    >1 of 1 on 1st box on 1st page
    >2 of 1 on 2nd box on 1st page
    >1 of 2 on 1st box on 2nd page
    >2 of 2 on 2nd box on 2nd page
    >....
    Is it so?
    Once i get these details then I will let u know the way....:)

  • How to get page number from the PDF using Javascript

    Hi,
    We are having list of Single page PDF. The pdf are named in the order,
    ISBN_Author_01.PDF  (with real page number as i)
    ISBN_Author_02.PDF  (with real page number as ii)
    ISBN_Author_03.PDF  (with real page number as iii)
    ISBN_Author_04.PDF  (with real page number as 1)
    ISBN_Author_05.PDF  (with real page number as 2)
    ISBN_Author_06.PDF  (with real page number as 3)
    ISBN_Author_nn.PDF  (with real page number as 500)
    Here each pdf has a page number and in sequential order.
    The task is to check whether all the pdfs are in sequential order (i.e i, ii, iii, 1, 2, 3). If any page is missing, the script should throw an error report.
    To do this task, I am writing a Javascript to get the real page number from the PDF.
    Can anybody help me how to get the page number from the PDF using Javascript.
    Thanks,
    Gopal

    The "real" page number within a PDF is the count of the physical page starting at 0, zero.
    pageNum numPages
    The number printed on each page is the page label.
    setPageLabels  getPageLabel
    You will have to open each PDF and your script would need to know the page label for that file. I would expect you would need to build a 2 dimensional  array of the file names and the page label for the page within that array.

  • When creating a comment summary, I want to end up with a pdf of comments only. In addition, I do not want author, date, time, or page number to show in my comments summary. How can I do this?

    When creating a comment summary, I want to end up with a pdf of comments only. In addition, I do not want author, date, time, or page number to show in my comments summary. How can I do this? I do a lot of reading, and when I summarize my comments, I like to save these comments in a larger document I compile over time. I typically create a comment summary, export it to a text editor and find myself having to delete author, date, time, page number, and anything else that is not the raw and net comment. It would save me some good time if someone showed me how to do this. The reason I do not want any additional information is because it simply adds stuff I do not need in my compilation of summaries for large amounts of papers over time.

    What you're describing can't be achieved using the built-in comments summary function of Acrobat, but it can certainly be done if a custom-made script it used to generate the summary because then you're in full control of what's included in it and what's not.

    Hi everybody, sorry for my very bad english (french guy! logical). I hope you see what I'm looking for.

    In fact I could have one or more article in one file, every one of them is on an separate xml element. for each I have to export an xml file named with, first, the page number where appears the xml element, second, the number of exported article.
    I'm success the second purpose, but not the first.

    Try this,
    var myDoc=app.activeDocument;
    var root = myDoc.xmlElements[0];
    var docTag = root.evaluateXPathExpression('//doc');
    for(i=0; i<docTag.length; i++)

    I have a question about extracting pages.  When I do the function, adobe saves the individual files as "<file name><space><page number>", so the files look like this "filename 1.pdf", "filename 2.pdf", "filename 3.pdf".  Without too many gory details, I am using excel to concatenate some data to dynamically build a hyperlink to these extraced files.  It casues me problems, however, for the space to be the the file name.  Is there any way to change the default behavoir of this function to perhaps use a dash or underscore instead of a space?

    No, you can't change the default naming scheme. You can do it yourself if you extract the pages using a script instead of using the built-in command.

  • Accessing page number property [CS3] [JS]

    I am trying to find a way to access page numbers from a JavaScript program. Pages can always be accessed by their number (e.g., currentDocument.pages.item(0) references the first page). I have several documents (not gathered as a book) that have their page numbers set to start at different numbers. For instance, one document begins its page numbering at 100. That page 100 is still accessed by currentDocument.pages.item(0), since it is still the first page of the document.
    My question is this: is there a way for the script to determine what the actual page number is for any given page? I need this number to insert as an attribute for an XML element that will mark the beginning of new pages in the print version so that citations can be created from the digital version. It seems like it should be something simple like myPage.pageNumber, but I haven't been able to find a property like this in any of the scripting references or any discussion of this issue in the forums.
    There has to be an obvious answer, but somehow it is eluding me.
    Kevin

    Thank you. I knew it had to be obvious. I saw the name property, but since it returned a string I didn't think that was it. The script is now doing exactly what I wanted.
