Scrollbar Navigation - Thumbnail Buttons

I am in the process of redesigning my photography website.  I am creating a slide that has thumbnails going up the right side.  When you click on one, it shows in the middle the enlarged picture.  I used the loader component for the thumbnails and viewer.  My question is this - how do I put the thumbnail loaders inside an area that scrolls?  So, say I have more thumbnails than will fit on my page - I need the capability for them to scroll to see the rest.
If you want to see what I am up to, you can see the test pages at www.bephotodesigns.com/Crappy.html (I know, it's catchy).  Click on 'portfolio' and then click on the 'be urban' picture to see the start of what I am doing.
Any help would be appreciated.  I have tried loading a pre-fab slideshow program but haven't been able to get it to work.  It was just easier (I suppose) to build this portfolio page from scratch.
Thanks again!

What you can do is place the thumbnails inside a movieclip and have controls to change the y location of that movieclip.  You can either do it in a step fashion or a sliding fashion, but the main idea is to have the controls changing the y position of the movieclip. You can use a mask layer over the movieclip if you want to contain/frame the thumbnails within a specific viewing area.

  • Where's my Page Thumbnails button? Acrobat 8 Std

A few weeks ago I was able to click on the Page Thumbnails button in Acrobat 8 Std, some how it is no longer visible so can't use page thumbnails option. How can I fix this problem?

  • The navigation thumbnail in the developpement panel is not refreshed

Since few days, the navigation thumbnail in the developpement panel is not refreshed (when the mouse is over a preset or when a modification is done on the image). When I'm coming from the grid panel and going to the developpement panel, the navigation thumbail is refreshed for the selected image but once I change the focus to another image it's not working anymore...
I tried to optimize the catalog and also re-generated images previews...
I'm using Lightroom 3.6 with Canon Raw files.
Do you have any clues ?
    Thanks,

I hate to dredge up an old thread but.... I'm now for the first time seeing this same problem using LR 5 on a mac w 10.8.4 Exactly as the original poster indicated. Should I dump the pref file? or is there something else going on. I have restarted the computer but after applying a preset and then reverting to the original, no preset previews are available from my presets list. selecting another image does not fix issue.
Not a huge deal but annoying for sure. Anybody have a suggestion?

You can access the document Adobe XML Form Object Model Reference
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/articles/Adobe_XML_Form_Object_Model_Reference.pdf
and search for "presence" our "relevant".

  • Disable/hide navigation Back button in particular overview page

    Hi All,
I have to disable/hide navigational 'Back' button on Task overview page. I tried to achive this in WD_HISTORY mehtod but no luck.
Please suggest me how to do this.
    Thanks,
    Nanaji

    Hi Laxmana,
I did the same thing as you suggested, by commenting the super class method we can just stop to go to previous page but not all the pages which are stored in back button history.
My actual requirement is, back button should not be visible to user or should not function anything. User should not use back button to navigate away. user must use 'save and back' or 'save' buttons.
    Thanks,
    Nanaji

  • Can one set "Navigation Pane Buttons" Left Sidebar to 'Default Hidden' and 'Not Open' upon opening Any .pdf document?

Can one set "Navigation Pane Buttons" Left Sidebar to 'Default Hidden' and 'Not Open' upon opening Any .pdf document?

Photoshop has to have full administrator rights to have read/write access.
This means you need to run Photoshop CS5.1 in an Administrator account and set it up to "Run as Administrator."
    1. Close Photoshop if it's open.
    2. Right click on your Photoshop CS5.1 launch icon then select "Run as Administrator" from the context menu. (You will have to enter Admin Password if UAC is enabled to change this setting.)
    3. Launch Photoshop CS5.
    4. See if you create and save a document.
Even if you are in an Administrator account you have to do this as Vista's Admin account isn't really the Super Admin as it is in XP so you have to elevate the rights by selecting "Run as Administrator". This setting is sticky so you should only have to do this once. I am not sure why CS3 is suddenly acting as if it does't have Admin rights unless you are running it in a new account that isn't an administrator or maybe uninstalled (cleanScript?) then reinstalled.
If can't create or save a document, check that the account that Photoshop is in is an Administrator account.
To check if you are in an Administrator account...
    1. Type user account in your Vista or Windows7 start search bar. (Start search bar is at the bottom of the panel that opens when you click the start Windows start globe located on the far left hand side of your Windows task bar.)
    2.  Click on "User Accounts" which should show up at the top of the list. This will open the dialog to User Accounts where you can "Change Your Account Type". If UAC (User Account Control) is turned on, you will need to enter the Admin password to change this setting.

  • Start time of thumbnail buttons

Hi, is possible to set start time of the thumbnail buttons in menu ?? `cause my menu start with flash so I really don`t want to see the buttons inside of the flash
    Thanks

You want to delay when the video starts playing in all the thumbnails by 5 seconds? The only way to do that in Encore is to create two menus: a static menu with a duration of 5 seconds that has an end action set to the motion menu.
You could also create a motion menu background in Premiere or After Effect and do it all with a single menu - but you'd have to animate the thumbnails in PPro/AE.

  • Thumbnail Buttons in Transition Effect Ga;;ery

    Hello,
I have used the attached code to apply transition effects to
a JPEG This code works great but when I try to install thumbnail
buttons using loadclip or loadmovie the JPEG loads with out the
effect or doesn't load at all. What can I do to get my thumbnails
to load JPEG's with transitions when clicked?
    Thanks,
    WonderWendy

its probably that your image isn't displaying fully loaded
when you call the function. I know you script appears to have that
    solved, but try this...
    ad trace("HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA")
    to your onLoadInit function.
    ad trace("BOOOO YOU SUCK")
    to your onLoadComplete function.
Just mess around with those and see if that might be your
problem. I'm actually unsure, I'm not on my main machine with my
    code snippets. Good Luck!

  • Navigation Pane Buttons hide keyboard shortcut in Acrobat 9?

In Acrobat 8 it was really annoying to disable the navigation pane buttons by mouse.<br /><br />Is there any chance in Acrobat 9? (At the moment I'm not using Acrobat 9.) (The pdf's are saved e.g. to open with bookmark pane. Pressing <F4> makes the bookmark pane disappear but not the pane buttons.)<br /><br />(And please no tips like "save the pdf". These PDFs I'm _not_ allowed to change in any way. And please no tips like "restore last view". This is true for PDFs I have reviewed but not for new ones.)<br /><br />Background: I need to review PDFs and sometimes copy some pages in a new document.<br /><br />(And it would be great to have _small_ buttons in the toolbar as in Acrobat Professional Vers. 4 for Macintosh...)

Thank you. This worked in Adobe 9 Pro too.
Go to Windows-START-and type in regedit. Then find this file and MODIFY it.

  • How can I get Navigation Menu Button to remain in down state after clicked?

    Hi there,
I'm messing about with a Navigation Menu and would like to click on the button and once clicked, the button remains in its down state.  I can't seem to find a way of doing this?  Any pointers?
    Cheers

We would need to see your live page and code to offer more meaningful answers.  But I wonder if what you really want is a "persistent page indicator" on your nav menu?

  • Cp8: Advanced interactions - Can't get 'Forced Navigation' through buttons to work

I am going a little crazy because I am tring to do something fairly simple, and I've done it before. I've reached a point of despair.
I'm just trying to do a 'forced navigation' thing where the user has to all of the buttons on a timeline before they:
    1. Play audio file from the library
    2. Show continue button (which is hidden in the properties panel)
My (failing) method so far is to do this:
    1. Create a variable for each button that is equal to 0.
    2. Create a Standard Actions that assigns a value of 1 to the variable (on success)
    3. Attach the Standard Actions to each button.
    4. Create a conditional action that says if the value of all the variables are equal to one, then the continue button will be shown, and the audio will play.
Seems logical to me, and other sources online seem to suggest that this is correct, but it doesn't work.
Can anyone help me out? I am desperate and in a hurry.

You need a conditional action with two decisions for each button. If you are on CP8, would recommend a shared action personally, and put it in a file that you can always reuse as external Library. For one button action will look like this:
There are multiple threads showing this same solution. And on my blog there are several use cases as well.

  • A thumbnail button option to hide or show thumbnails on slideshows

A great feature would be the option to hide or show thumbnails when using the full screen slideshow widget, I would suggest an option to turn this feature on in the flyout box so when viewing a full screeen slide show a grid icon appears thats brings up you thumbnails so you can jump to a specific image. Then the option to hide the thumbnials so the viewer can view the images without anything else on the page. A brilliant example of this is a widget by Muse Themes.... Adobe Muse Fullscreen Thumbnail Gallery Widget by MuseThemes this should be standard feature native in Muse. Please!

So each time a user completes viewing a screen/slide, when they click the next button a user variable, v_lastmod is passed. So if a user views the intro slide and clicked next, v_lastmod=1 is passed to the database. The program actually reloads, so the .NET does a Response.redirect and jumps to the appropriate slide. That might be too much info. But if that user whose lastmod=1 were to review that screen again, I like the next button to appear for the entirety of the slide so they can skip the slide they've already seen.
We also pass a user variable v_compind=1 if they've completed the whole program.

  • Customising start of Video Thumbnail button

I have a project that is nearly done. I have several buttons, to chapters in the movie, that are video thumbnails. My question is:
I want the appearance of the button (video subpicture) to show the frame at say 2:12 of a timeline but I want the link to point to chapter 2, which might be located at 1:54 on the timeline.
Can I have the picture (Not a still picture) on the button thumbnail that is different than the location of the Chapter marker. I don't want to use a still picture, which I could easily add in photoshop. I want to use a different frame of the timeline.
    thanks

You can customize where the video in the thumbnail starts by setting the Poster Frame property of the chapter (in Chapter Properties) to the timecode where you want thumbnail playback to begin.

  • How Do I Activate a Previous and a Next (NOT History) Navigation Image/Button?

RoboHelp 10, using Multiscreen HTML5 layout; Desktop Layout:
All of my searches result in the same answers, which tell me to insert javascript:history.go(-1) and javascript:history.go(1) into the Link to field of the Hyperlink Properties dialog for my arrow button images in the Screen Layout Editor.
However, all this does is to enable the user to navigate pages already visited (i.e., history). What I need is for the navigation buttons to just page through all of the topics in the order in which the FrameMaker book's pages go (e.g., page Next from 1 through 868 in that sequence).
I sincerely hope that I do not have to manually create a browse sequence for over 800 pages, and four levels of TOC, and if I create a browse sequence automatically from the TOC, doesn't that just allow the user to click through the topics alphabetically?
The vanilla Screen Layout Editor has a 'previous' and a 'next' button, next to the 'print'' icon (which works, by the way). Why don't these browse sequence buttons work?

Yes, I selected to include four levels, as displayed below:
The issue, however, is that the sequence navigation buttons (‘Previous’ and ‘Next’ buttons) only allow me to navigate within one level at a time. For example, in the screen shot below, the forward and back buttons only allow me to go back and forward between the two TOC heading level 3 topics (“Application Transfer” and “Time Withdrawal Transfer”).
Additionally, if I click on a higher-level TOC heading, such as “Introduction,” then click the Forward/Next nav button, the navigation goes to the next (“Getting Started”) level-one TOC heading, bypassing all the sub-heading topics underneath:
I just want the navigation browse sequence buttons to move through each topic in order, regardless of its heading level. Does that make sense?
    Thanks!
