Cp8: Advanced interactions - Can't get 'Forced Navigation' through buttons to work

I am going a little crazy because I am tring to do something fairly simple, and I've done it before. I've reached a point of despair.
I'm just trying to do a 'forced navigation' thing where the user has to all of the buttons on a timeline before they:
1. Play audio file from the library
2. Show continue button (which is hidden in the properties panel)
My (failing) method so far is to do this:
1. Create a variable for each button that is equal to 0.
2. Create a Standard Actions that assigns a value of 1 to the variable (on success)
3. Attach the Standard Actions to each button.
4. Create a conditional action that says if the value of all the variables are equal to one, then the continue button will be shown, and the audio will play.
Seems logical to me, and other sources online seem to suggest that this is correct, but it doesn't work.
Can anyone help me out? I am desperate and in a hurry.

You need a conditional action with two decisions for each button. If you are on CP8, would recommend a shared action personally, and put it in a file that you can always reuse as external Library. For one button action will look like this:

I can't get the patch select buttons to work in edit mode. When I select any template, the set buttons or the patch buttons don't work at all. My up and down arrows work fine but I need the on screen buttons to be assigned to my footswitch.

Can't Get the Facebook Like Button To Work

So I've put a like button on my website, and I can't seem to get it to work. I put my company's facebook URL as the target URL. Then I publish, click "like", and nothing happens. Will they not work while it's being hosted on BC? Do I have to upload to an FTP host before the widget will function properly?

Reupload the site and then try.

Can't get motion menus with buttons to work

I have a motion menu and when I add buttons, either from text converted or pre defined buttons, and then render the motion menu I get about 10 seconds of menu then no video only audio. I am on CS4 under Windows 7 professional. The video is a .m2v file and the audio is a .wav file. I have also updated to the latest RIXIO program (pxengine4_18_16a.exe) as suggested by another forum entry.

I am not sure what you mean about pre-CS4 elements and "the par changed". On this operating system (win 7) I have never installed any Adobe programs except CS4. I so have adobe reader installed which was not part of the Production Premium CS4 products.
Here is what I did:
1 - Created a new Composition in Ae Preset NTSC D1 Widescreen 30 seconds long
2 - Added text "Test Motion Menu" in red
3 - Animated the text from off screen at the top to off screen at the bottom
4 - Added to the render queue options MPEG2-DVD no sound
5 - Rendered, 33 seconds
6 - Imported the m2v file into En
7 - Used a template menu from Corporate- Blue Sky Menu WIDE to create a menu
8 - Used the m2v files as the Motion Video
9 - Rendered the motion menu
The results are that the motion happens for a few seconds then starts all over again. It never reaches the bottom of the screen.

I have tried everything I know of. It worked fine an hour ago. I have a white screen, buttons will not turn it off and I get get to anything. Any ideas whats going on?

That's fine - except nobody here knows what you have been able to think of try to this point.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
It really helps if you let others know "what you know of" and already tried.

How can I get Mighty Mouse scroll button to work?

My Mighty Mouse has started to not respond to the scroll button. Sometimes it will scroll up but not down at all.

Can't get my geturl for buttons to work !

I'm working with a flash file from a template I got. I'm trying to link the "read more" buttons to individual pages. This is not working in flash. I manage to open one, but the rest of the buttons open the same page... not individually.
Here are the links for each button:
Button 1. Mexico is clicked the READ MORE button should get URL :

The movieclip that contains the "button" has six diferent movieclips inside. I tried to convert them to buttons, but nothing.
I tried to use html without spaces, but it didn't work eather. I also tried to change instances but also nothing seams to work.

don't convert your movieclips to buttons (or vice-versa). go back to your unedited template before you changed anything.
click on the movieclip that contains your six "read more" objects. in the properties panel assign an instance name (eg, readmore_mc). double click on readmore_mc so you go to the timeline with your six "read more" objects. click on each one in turn and assign instance names (eg, mexico_mc, costarica_mc etc).
finally, return to the timeline that contains readmore_mc and in the actions panel type:

readmore_mc.costarica_mc.onRelease=function(){

Can't get the "Email Me" button to work

I added an "Email Me" button on my web site but when you click on it, it does not put my email address in the "To" section. How do I get this to happen automatically?
* My web site is posted to a web host (not Mobile Me)
* I already created an email address at the web host
The HELP section of iWeb says this about Adding an Email Me button:
" ..... clicking the button opens a new email message using the address on
your card in Address Book."
What do I call the card and how do I get it to link with the button?

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.

Just sounds the ding, alert, can still slightly navigate the program but can not use any other tools after clicking warp text. I just have to open task manager and close the program. not sure if I'm doing something wrong or maybe I just need to uninstall and re install. Having trouble finding out how to uninstall and reinstall because the program came pre installed on my desktop.

It actually sounds like the warp text window is opening off screen.
Resetting the photoshop elements 10 preferences should fix it.
*Press and hold the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys just after you start the launch of the photoshop elements 10 editor
*Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop elements setting file
*Press Yes
