SCUP flash updates show up as 0 required and 0 installed although they are needed
We have a problem in sccm2012\software updates. We have imported Flash, Acrobat and Reader updates from SCUP 2011.
Reader updates works perfectly and are shown with "Required" and "Installed" numbers, but when it comes to Flash and Acrobat it says 0 for both. The only thing that shows is "Percent Compliant".
I have modified the detection rules to go for files instead of registry settings but it doesnt make a difference
Tried Google until my eyes bleed without finding anything like this.
Is there anyone out there that has a clue what the problem is???
The only thing else i could come up with is certificate problem but then shouldnt Reader updates work....

It shows 65% for ActiveX and 79% for plugin and there is no chance that so many have that version (223).
I havent distributed it as a packet yet because i wanted it to work with SCUP and automatic update is disabled via mms.cfg
I tried to run some reports to see the actual figures and it turned out that the reports are blank for software. I dont get any results at all. For other than Software it works fine.
So now i have to start to see what the problem is with software reporting........

They are being shown. When Photoshop gray out items it means in the documents current state that item is not supported, Get the document into a state that the grayed out filters can be used. Some filters mat not support some modes like CMYK. 32bit color, Lab etc. They seem to be listed but nor currently applicable. Note whem no document is open all are grayed out the when a simple clipboard image is open all are available.

Why does the 'publish preview' screen in flash cs5 show part of the animation and then turns blank?
Hi I am creating frame by frame animation in photoshop.
I am importing the photoshop files into flash using
FILE > IMPORT > IMPORT TO STAGE
I used to be able to preview or "line test" my animation easily by clicking on:
FILE > PUBLISH PREVIEW > FLASH
I could watch the animation loop and see where improvements are needed. Now, flash struggles a lot with the files, takes a long time to load the preview, when it finally does, it shows me maybe a third of the animation, turns blank, and acts as if all my frames are completely blank. I cannot later see them on my main work surface either.
Does anyone know what is going on? I keep restarting flash but the same problem persists.

I'm working in a very round-about way, of creating the frame by frame animation in photoshop, importing it to flash for preview, exporting from flash as png sequence into after effects where I continue animating.
So I will look at exporting the png sequence straight from photoshop - let's see how this goes

I have recently switched to the latest i-phone. my contacts are updated by i-cloud between phone and mac laptop.there are only about 720 contats showing on phone from app. 1250 on the computer. please advise how to correct phone
On the mac, only contacts in the "iCloud" section will sync to other devices. Those in the "On my mac" section do not. Could that be your problem?
To test the icloud situation, log into icloud.com with your mac's safari and to to the contacts page. What you see there is what icloud has received from mac and iphone. -
I updated my iPhone 4S weeks ago and today it said I needed to update it again, so I did. Now when I send iMessage it comes up with my email address and not my number. How do I fix this?
The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list. The App Store which is required to download 10.7 or 10.8 is part of the 10.6.6 update.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

My ipod touch is telling me that the Skype and Twitter apps need updating. When I try to update them they both fail. I have tried numerous times. I have tried connecting the ipod to itunes and removing the apps, to reload them but that does not work either. If I try and update the apps through itunes the system tells me they are updated. Can anyone assist please?

Did you have the instructions that came with your Airport Extreme? Are you sure you have it setup properly? Here is the setup guide:

I have an old version, 10.5. A few days ago, my Inbox stopped showing new messages received, although they are coming in and show under Messages on Server. How can I get the messages on the server to go to my Inbox so I can access them?

When I try to update the apps on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 they are stuck in waiting.

I have tried:
restarting my device
signing out of the store and restarting the device and signing back in
reset all settings
double taping on "waiting" apps
All my softwear is up to date. I know that apps only download one at a time but I have checked them all and they are all in waiting. I am connected to wifi.
HELP!This is strange, but it may be a fix for my problem. These are the steps I took to possibly fix my problem. Before trying this I noticed that not only are all apps that are being updated listed as "Waiting", but new apps being installed were also listed as "Waiting".
I unselected "Sync Apps" in iTunes on my Mac. A sync automatically started and all the apps, other than the standard apps were removed.
I selected "Sync Apps" and chose just one app to install. I chose iBooks because it's an Apple app and because there is significant content associated with it through my purchases. The iBooks app installed without issue.
I selected a larger group of apps to install (basically all those that began with the letter "A"). These apps installed fine and are useable.
I selected all the apps I wanted on my iPad. These apps (113 total) all installed without being listed as "Waiting".
I used the App Store on my iPad and chose one app to update. The app was immediately listed as "Waiting" and when tapped was listed as "Paused".
I removed the app from the iPad and reinstalled it via iTunes on my Mac. The app installed fine and works great.
I accessed the iTunes Store and went to the screen "My App Updates". I selected the same app I tried to update in Step 5. The update work fine.
I synced my iPad and the newly updated app was installed on my iPad without issue.
This tells me that the issue lies within the process that updates apps on the iPad. If the app is updated in iTunes proper on my Mac, the updated app is installed on the iPad without issue.
I've only tried this with one app. I will now update all the apps on my Mac via iTunes and see if the newer versions install correctly on the iPad after syncing.
I hope this helps other people having this problem.

Have macbook pro 2012, running Maverick. Updated to iMovie version 10.0 Opened it. All my clips and projects were there. Then it crashed. Now no clips no projects. If I try and import them they are dimmed. If I try and 'update projects and events' a dialogue box says no files found.
Have tried restarting computer, no joy. Help!!The reply from Nerval fixed it. It is very simple and it works.
If you have a lot of Projects and Events, leave the iMovie running for a long time. I had 160G and it took 4hrs. It is doing it in the background so don't shutdown too quick.

There are a couple of updates on my APP STORE page that are extremely annoying, they can't be installed because they are to old for my OSX version 10.8.5, I want to delete or remove them so that Spotlight stops telling me that I have 2 updates to install, when they can't be installed unless I revert to an older OS version.

You need to update to AE version 11.0.4 (the latest version of CS6).
The need to update has been made widely public. Not only has it been posted on Adobe's site, but there are dozens of threads on it in this forum alone (not to mention in /r/AfterEffects on Reddit and every other AE forum I've been on). A tiny bit of Googling would have solved your frustration in an instant. -
Flash update messed up FF Add-ons and the Open New Tab button.
FF told me that I needed to update Flash, so I said OK. Whereupon all of my FF Add-ons disappeared. Seems that FF needed to check with the mother ship to find out if everything were compatible with this new Flash update--but the mother ship was not available (this has happened several times).
Why didn't FF check on the compatibility issues BEFORE getting the Flash update?!
I will remove Flash (did this in the past, and the lost functionalities were no big deal). I will also change the settings on FF so that the program won't do this again. (I periodically go see about FF updates myself and try to sit on FF while the updates are being done.)
BTW ... I had FF set to NO DOWNLOAD/UPDATE anything until/unless I have the OK. The past few weeks, I've gotten constant notes from FF telling me to get FF6.0. I was almost ready--but not quite ready--and yesterday FF updated itself. NO OK from me.
As I type this, I've finally gotten all of my FF Add-ons and other mods back. And it looks like my bookmark tabs are all squared-away again, too. (The AddNewTab button completely disappeared.)
So, this is no longer a question for you that could use an answer. Instead, I'd like you to pass my frustrations along to the development crew. I HATE the uncertainty/instability of my Firefox Add-ons and Stylish mods. (I'd rather just skip them.)
I understand that the Add-ons are not the work of Mozilla (not like the browser program itself, anyway) and that the job of getting everything to work together must be insanely difficult. So I'm not wanting to complain about the compatibility hassles here--I'm complaining about the need to watch FF carefully to make sure FF doesn't jump up and do something that I don't want. That and the fact that I have to remember that FF will change my system BEFORE checking to see if it's going to make a mess for me.
I only recently returned to Firefox and started using some of the Add-ons again. I love them. But I don't think I'll ever use more than 6 or so Add-ons because of the constant problems with updates like this mess today with Macropedia's Flash. The one thing I don't want in a browser is problems.

JackI'm sorry to hear that you have so many issues. What version of Firefox were you using before?
The double title bar issue has been identified as an issue with the Tax Mix Plus extension but it doesn't affect everyone, it's an interaction with something else (not exactly clear what, although Norton Toolbar was mentioned in one thread).
There is a new version available that you could try. If Firefox is stable enough to do it...
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > "gear" icon > Check for Updates
If your beta version won't update, you could try installing [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/ from the add-ons site].
More generally, could I suggest disabling as many extensions as you can live without for 24 hours, and re-enable them gradually? This should help isolate interactions between them. As you know, you can do that here:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
Finally, regarding your old session, if you haven't closed Firefox, you might find a sessionstore.bak file in your profile folder that contains your old session. To easily access that folder, try
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Grab a copy of that file and save it somewhere outside the folder because it is overwritten when you close Firefox. Got to run, but if you find one with an appropriate date, someone can help you restore it. -
Specific Flash objects show as blank square -fixed and includes how-
Okay so this is basically driving me up the wall. I have a brand new computer with everything up to date but it just won't show some flash objects. They show up as a black object with the pages background colour usually. However if say I went to youtube their player works perfect. I checked around and this vid I am trying to watch and an interactive aquarium I used to use, works for everything else but 5 people I know. So here are two screen shots of my problem:

Now what is weird about the aquarium is that though I cannot see the larger flash I can see my own signature size flash of it. Ah hard to explain just take a look here, if anyone replies to that thread I am the Thraxen and posted first at the very top of the page.
Same with on my profile on said site there is a mini aquarium which I can make larger and I can still see it.
You may say it is just that site but take a look below. I could keep listing more sites but it keeps going.

So basically all I had to do was go to the page where the flash was, for instance my Gaia aquarium and right click. I then clicked roughly in the middle I right click and got this: (click the image for the larger one)
Click settings.
Now do you see how it says how much storage there should be? Mine said "None"
So I just used the slider and changed it to this:
Once set to unlimited (You could limit it but to be honest who cares as long as it works) I pressed "Close", then refreshed the page and it worked!!!!
