Sdk application.batch

I am trying to utilize the application.batch method within Photoshop's sdk without any luck (example code below). I am using c# and Photoshop CC. I have looked online for help through different forums such as Stack Overflow and PS-Scripts, with no answers. Could someone at Adobe please tell me what type of Array is required as the first argument, (where I have Directory.GetFiles(@"MyFilePath").ToArray())? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

but when I use PL/SQL Developer to run the scripts. there is no problem.
And we always met errors when application team run long time batch, about 20 - 30 minutes or even longer.
When they run 5 or 10 minutes job, there is no error occur.

Thanks for your support provided so far.
I have developed a .NET sdk application to extract the metadata from the XI-R2 universe and report files. I'm able to run the application in my machine. But when I run my tool in the server machine which has XI-R2 installed in it, it throws the following error.
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040154): Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {DCDC6F02-5766-11D0-AF14-00A0C912DCDD} failed due to the following error: 80040154.
I have referred the Busobj.dll and Designer.Dll in the application to extract metadata. These DLL's are embedded along with the application.
Am I missing any Dll's? Kindly help me.

Yes I looked the CLSID, it refers the Desktop Intelligence Application and the following keys under the CLSID are as follows:
1. InProcHandler32-- Ole32.dll
2. Localserver32 -- C:\BusinessObjects\BusinessObjectsEnterprise 11.5\win32_x86 busobj.exe /Automation
3. ProgID -- BusinessObjects.Application.11
4. VersionIndependentProgID --BusinessObjects.Application

Error while running SDK application in XIR3 environment

I have developed a SDK application using BOE SDK in BO XI-R2 environment. This application queries the CMC and provides the list of objects, users etc.,
While running the application in BO XI-R3 environment, when I invoke the Login button in my application, I'm getting the following Unhandled Exception as
"Could not load File or Assembly: "CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework.Infostore version=11.5.3300.0, culture =neutral......."
Am I missing any Dll file to be included along with the EXE?
Can anyone help me in this regard?

Hello Bhuvan,
Do you have BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE) 3.0 or 3.1? The .NET implementation was not released until BOE 3.1, so .NET applications wouldn't be expected to work against BOE 3.0.
Assuming that you have BOE 3.1, then you also have to upgrade your application. An Enterprise .NET application that references the XI R2 (v11.5) assemblies would not be supported for communicating with a BOE 3.1 system.
On it's face, the error is saying that Enterprise 11.5 (XI R2) assemblies are missing. The .NET SDK for BOE XIR2 has to be installed from the Enterprise installation CD. It is not available as a stand alone installer or MSI.
Finally, you've made note of trying to include the Enterprise assemblies with an EXE. BusinessObjects Enterprise is a web based application. SAP Business Objects does not fully support using the Enterprise .NET SDK in Windows applications. It may work, but any issues have to be duplicated in a web application before they'll be accepted for a possible fix. Additionally, since the XIR2 Enterprise .NET SDK is not available in an stand alone MSI it becomes quite difficult to manage deploying the SDK to multiple workstations.

Do we need to install any thing more on J2EE to run
BI SDK applications.

Hello Kim,
Its by design that SDM either expects the server to be in completely started state ('Running' status) or completely stopped state.
Anything in between, SDM will hang indefinitely for the server to go up. So in a case like yours, you could give it a try to redeploy the offline components first by shutting down the server. For the online deployments, SDM will try to restart the server. If it still hangs in 'Starting applications', the best way is to take threaddumps as per note 710154 and check using the threaddump viewer what is causing the hang. Is it exhaustion of the threads or thread blockage waiting on some action! You can find more info about threaddumpviewer @

Also, one tip for SDM redeployment, its always good to select option 3 on the deployment screen which says 'upgrade regardless of sca/sda version'
SafeMode means the applicaitons are not started during the server startup. This is done during the upgrade when the engine is put in the safemode to avoid long startups. So, the application start forbidden is just indicating that the application was not started due to that mode. Doesn't indicate any error with the application as such.
To check for the startup errors, please check std_server* from <j2ee engine>/work & defaultrace file in server<n>log always. You can get hints from here.

Application batch job running got error ORA-03113

Problem: when application batch job running, application system always receive this error: ORA-03113 and job stop.
Application system: dynamic system AX
ORACLE system: ORACLE 10.2.0.4.0
The listener configuration setting is :
INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_LISTENER = 0
SUBSCRIBE_FOR_NODE_DOWN_EVENT_LISTENER = OFF
Whether this is the problem of listener setting? "INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_LISTENER = 0" indicate 0 seconds or no limit?

then follow the approach ( this is for java only)
1. see if you can access infoview application , if yes then check web.xml file and try to uncomment the comment elements in web.xml file.
2. check the jar file needed for sso , like credential.jar. you can take all the jar file from infoview application

Flex 4.1 sdk application issue

My application consists of 4 modules developed in flex sdk 4.0, has resource bundles (eng and spanish), now we designed 5th module with flex sdk4.1 has eng and spanish resource bundles, when i
compile and run the whole app(5 modules) under unix environment with sdk4.0, every module is loading fine, until the 5th modules loads, when 5th module loads, for the first time spanish language is not
loading, the whole page is blank, when i switch back to english it is loading everything and then clicked spanish it is working fine, every time when i change the viewstack the spanish is not working for the
first time. I debugged the issue, it is not giving any error,
intialize() method is called, creationcomplete is not called for viewstack main component,
i changed all 5 modules to flex sdk4.1 and complied and it runs fine without spanish loading problem.
my question is their any way i can use use sdk4.0 and run the application,
is they any issue of developing one module with sdk4.1 and compling it with 4.0?

same 5 modules with sdk 4.0, spanish language is not working on the first load. no compilation errors, no run-time issues, but page was blank.

Business Objects Enterprise SDK application.

Hi All,
I am planning to develop a custom web application using BOE 3.1 java SDK's.
I would like to create only application level users, these users would be mapped with a single BO user account to create enterprise session.
That means, My application "A" will have say 10 users (i.e. 10 userid and passwords). All these users will their different sets of userid's and passwords (custom application users), they can login into the application using application level credentials, however to login into the enterprise the application will internally use only one BO user credential (i.e. only one named user acount info.)
eg:
user1-login -> application>logins using BO userX userid and password>BO Enterprise session created
user2-login -> application>logins using BO userX userid and password>BO Enterprise session created
user3-login -> application>logins using BO userX userid and password>BO Enterprise session created
and so on.
The idea is to purchase only one named user licence and create many application level users to login into BOE; but using the same BO user account.
Is this approach legal in-terms of licensing?
Would appreciate any help on this.

Each named user is for a specific user and not to be shared. If you were using concurrent user licensing, than this would be ok to use one enterprise user account.
5 Concurrent linceses means one user account created in enterprise but, account info can be shared with 5 users, so they can login using same credentials and create five different enterprise sessions?? right?
so, I can purchase one- 5 concurrent user license and share it with 5 users? OR purchase 5 named user licences and share it with 5 users?
Either ways my understanding is number of users=number or linceses available (named or concurrent). please correct me if I am wrong.
Now, which one is cost effective named user lincenses or concurrent?

Java me sdk application icon

Hello
I installed java me sdk 3.0.5 on windows 7 exactly as shown in tutorials (already have the required softwares).
When I go to "All Programs" from start menu to launch the application, I just don't find the icon. I only find: (documentation, uninstall, update center).
I even tried searching the folder where the software is located in my machine but didn't find any.
Now I don't know how to launch and use java me platform with an interface

SAP BI and BO SDK Application user authentication (SSO)

Hi,
We have a requirement where we have to schedule reports from Enterprise Portal(From a webdynpro application). To achieve this we have created custom Java application using Businessobjects SDK. The Java application needs username and password for authentication. As of now we have hardcoded a Admin user and pw in the code but this is not acceptable as different users have different authorization.
My Question is "Can we pass any authentication related token from Enterprise Portal to these custom java application for authentication?" I have read somewhere that SAP Logon Ticket is used for authentication. Is there any way to capture this ticket and passed to the custom java application. Is it possible to pass such token using function module/ABAP and use it in BO SDK for creating sessions ??
The java application is hosted on BO server.
We are using BusinessObjects XI 4.0 and SAP BI 7.0

As i can understand, that you need a logon token to be passed on to your custom application for authentication
purpose.

New to cactus + using J2EE SDK Application server

Can anybody guide me on how to update web.xml file to include the necessary servlet descriptors/ mappings to use cactus ? I tried manually but the deploy tool reported the ear to be corrupt.

With this version of the Windows 10 SDK, applications built using XAudio2 will
require XAudio2_9.dll to be on the system, and it is not available for Windows

Force all users to change their Enterprise passwords with a batch operation

You can logon to Enterprise as Administrator in your SDK application. Query all users using following query:
select * from ci_systemobjects where si_kind='user'
then loop through the collection InfoObjects returned and cast east object to IUser.
Either call setPasswordToChangeAtNextLogon(true) so that the user logs on next time will be forced to change his\her password. Call commit on InfoObjects collection at the end to save the changes.
Otherwise you can call setNewPassword("new password") to reset password for that user.
Depending upon number of users you can do bath commit. You can use commit(infoObjects,true). The 2nd argument is true for batch commit.

Error when running report using SDK

Hi, I am getting following error when I am running a report in boxi r2 sp3 on IIS. Infoview and CMC runs fine but SDK application is not able to connect to CMS. This error does not come all the time. It happens intermittently.
Error in RetrieveReport: Unable to connect to cluster @hisuatcluster to retrieve updated CMS member list. Logon cannot continue.
Anyone has seen this and any way to pin point the cause. We have used -ns and -port switch in the command line of CMS and all servers.

Below is the logic of SDK.
1.     Create an EnterpriseSession by calling SessionMgr.Login(the credentials we use to connect on in the web.config file).
2.     Get a reference to the InfoStore with EnterpriseSession.GetService(u201CInfoStoreu201D)
3.     Get a reference to the report as an InfoObject by querying the InfoStore u2013 InfoStore.Query(u201CSELECT * FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE u2026u201D)
4.     Get a reference to the RASReportFactory u2013 EnterpriseSession.GetService(u201Cu201D, u201CRASReportFactoryu201D)
5.     Open the report using the InfoObject (line 3) and RASReportFactory (line 4) u2013 ReportClientDoc = ReportAppFactory.OpenDocument(InfoObject.ID, 0)
6.     Manipulate the reportu2019s connection information.
7.     Set the vieweru2019s report source with the report (this is commented out in the current tests) u2013 CrystalReportViewer.ReportSource = ReportClientDocument
8.     Close the session u2013 EnterpriseSession.Logoff()

My company just completed moving everyone from Win XP to Win 7 (yes, I know, but better late than never). I regularily use Acrobat Pro X to batch process and password protect large numbers of a variety of documents (Word, Publisher, Excel and PowerPoint 2-up printouts.)
Under Windows XP the process was pretty straight forward:
1) Open Acrobat Pro
2) Secect "Batch Process" File -> Create -> Batch Create Multiple files... (a window appears).
3) Drag a large group of documents into the window (you can drag over 50 docs, it doesn't matter), then begin the process (which automatically walks through all the documents and PDFs them.)
4) When the process is complete, open up the Action Wizard File -> Action Wizard -> Select the appropriate action
5) A window appears, drag the PDFs into the window and go. All PDS quickly get the security applied.
Done
With Windows 7 the functionality is different (I really don't know if it is the operating system change or some type of policy change that I am unaware of). The process is far slower because I literally have to PDF and Apply Security to each document one at a time. The process goes like this:
Under Windows 7:
1) Select a group of documents, but NO MORE THAN 15.
2) Drag the documents over the "Acrobat Pro X" icon and launch them this way. Each document created a "temporary PDF". Multiple windows open up, stacked on top of each other.
3) Go to each window individually and first save the file (that way the file name is preserved), then go to the Action Wizard and apply the security. Then close the PDF.
4) Repeat this process for each open window (document).
5) Repeat as necessary until you have the several hundred documents processed.
Literally this is a "hands-on" process for each document. Is there a better way? Am I missing something in the Acrobat or Windows 7 settings?
If I try to batch process the old way under Windows 7 I get a series of error messages for each document. (I can't even get to the action wizard process.)
Any suggestions?
Is there a third party app that will work without having to administer it so much?

While reproducing the problem I realized I was in error as to how far in the sequence the problem occured. I actually do get as far as batch creating PDF,. The only difference there is that I can no longer "drag and drop" files in the batch create window. I have to use the "Add files..." command in the upper left of the batch create window.
So, the application batch creates the files. Afterward, I use the Action Wizard to batch "Password Protect" the files. It is during this command run that the error occures. (Note: I am trying to save over the old files by having them save to the same directory under the same name, just like I used to be able to do.) The error I get is:
Action Completed.
Saved to: \\HOME\path-to-original-files\
Warning/Errors
The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document in a different
Document: Name of document1.pdf
Output: Name of document1.pdf
The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document in a different

The error message loops through all the documents. I don't have the documents open or in use. By default they shouldn't be "read-only". This all did not occure when I previously used the application with Windows XP.
I have not yet tried saving them to a different directory. I will try that later today. (I didn't want to have a lot of versions of the same documents, it tends to be confusing.)
