I would like to share my observations of the below:
Problem:
In SDK and launching an application to "Debug As -> Launch on Hardware (GDB)", SDK reports,
"Unexpected error while launching program: Error while running ps7_init method. Cannot read from target
MMU section translation fault "
Observation:
This problem occurs when I let Zynq boots to Linux. If I breaks into U-boot, I don't get the error and I can launch my debug application.
Solution:
Break into U-boot if you wish to launch your own application for debugging.
My setup:
Microzed in SD card boot mode, cascaded JTAG.

The error is probably due to ARM MMU up and running and protected mode operations when Linux boots.
I was making use of uboot to configure some low level peripherals so that my applications jump straight in to send data. Sometimes I was slow at interrupting the boot process and the error occurred. Yeah, if you really do not need uboot, simply boot in jtag mode.
As to the Bhaskarnallani's question, I guess you have to learn how to Linux device driver and apps.

0x80000000 is the bram controller address, is there anyway to read content of bram from XSDB console?

This problem is bugging me for last two days. Actually I am trying to embed Internet Explorer inside Java application. Everything is working fine till I dont close the application window. But just when I close the window everything goes down. I am working on win98 platform and not sure if it is this reason. The exact error message I am getting is:

. The problem is tat the same form runs fine in a Win-NT machine.
Unfortunately, we have a mixed group of users for this form. some of them have NT and some others have Win95/98...

Found the prob' or atleast the workaound for this...
APart from setting the fill property of the canvases to Transparent, set the same for all the DB blocks too...
Now my form is working fine in both OS.

After installing reports 6i, when I start Oracle Net8 easy configuration following error appears :

Could be a PATH problem.
First set path related to 6i in the end of the PATH and try again
(system Path is in
my computer right click -> properties -> advanced tab -> environment variables )
[ Also you could use a bat file and set the path of reports removed and try]

Can someone help me with this I had to reinstall windows 98se and because of that I had to reinstall the drivers for my sound blaster pci28 sound card and that error comes up every time it trys to install the drivers for it, it happens when it gets to the 00% mark of the setup for the installation. Xorg upgrade causes Xinerama to seg fault

I have searched tirelessly for a resolution to this fault, so hopefully this is not a repeat...
I recently upgraded to xorg-server 1.5.3.4. Since then, if I enable Xinerama in xorg.conf, I receive a segmentation fault.
I am using nvidia-173 driver as I have two cards, a Geforce 9600 GT and a Geforce PCX 5900 (with three monitors). The 5900 does not work with the latest driver, and the 9600 does not work with the nvidia-96 driver
In my efforts to identify the problem, I have disabled all modules and composite support in xorg.conf, and tried X, KDM and Gnome, all of which bomb out after about 5 seconds of black screen. When I run X, I receive a seg fault in twm. I have tried other window managers, and they also cause a seg fault. I have also tried installing the nvidia 32 bit libraries as well, but no go. Setting Xinerama to 0 stops the seg fault, but unfortunately does not allow me to seamlessly move windows onto my third monitor.
Attached is my original xorg.conf file if this helps.
I am running arch 86_64.
Any assistance would be really appreciated.

I did some research, and unfortunately it appears that XRandR v1.2 does not support multiple boards...it is planned for the next release though.
Looks like I'll have to hold out until then.

CS3 debugging causes instability

I am a relatively new Flash CS3 user (3 months). I am
maintaining a large code base of ActionScript 2.0, and I am having
difficulties with instability which may be caused by debugging.
Debugging appears to cause some kind of instability in the
Flash compiler. It is very hard to characterize the actual
scenario, but I feel I cannot trust the swfs that I produce to be
the _real_ result of the code I am compiling, without testing them,
which is tricky because they run as clients to a server and are not
easily switched to local xml file input testing. I am debugging
inside the IDE and doing remote debugging as well.
I have found that exiting CS3,then deleting the aso folder in
here, helps: C:\Documents and Settings\<your.login>\Local
Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS3\en\Configuration\Classes
Some of the time the IDE just crashes (or takes so long to do
something that it may as well have crashed), but largely I seem to
get a previous version of the swf, or some of the classes/files
don't get properly recompiled. The output file appears to be
new...it has a new timestamp, but it exhibits old behaviour.
I am not sure that anything can be done about this, or if
anyone has advice. I would welcome some sort of reassurance that I
am somehow operating the IDE incorrectly! I am an experienced
programmer in other fields and this has been a horrible experience
- IMO CS3 is not a stable development platform and a poor tool.

All good now. I think it was that my pdb was still called getter.pdb not the name of my plugin.

FATAL RUN-TIME ERROR: The program has caused a 'General Protection' fault at 0x6846680A.

Dear all,
I have some troubles with LabWindows CVI. Sometimes (maybe 2 or 3 times by week) my application crash with General protection error in cvirte adress. This crash never happens in the same part of the code is always happens in random way. The problem is that in debug mode we don't have any information about where the problem occurs in cvirte. This bugs can happens with differents application from very simple application to very complex applications.
Do you have some ideas that how can I solve these problems?

Unfortunately, the information you provided is still not sufficient for us to determine the exact cause and circumstance of this crash:
The provided event logs only contain relative addresses of the locations. An absolute crash address can better suggest the exact location. Please provide a screenshot of the crash window dialog, which contains the exact absolute address of this crash.
In your original post, you mentioned that you can reproduce the crash with a "very simple application". Is it possible for you to send us the application on our incoming FTP server, so that we can build and run the program on our side?
Do you have a suspicion for any particular libraries, components or UI controls that you are using, which reproduce the crash. E.g. "whenever I perform this action in a Numeric Control, the crash occurs...". This will further help us to narrow down on the problem!
If #2 is not possible, one other solution would be to send us a crash dump of the application. Please follow the steps in this Developer Community post, in order to generate and send us a crash dump: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-1496

Compile debug causes package to become invalid

We're running 10.2.0.4.0 and I have a large package (7730 lines) which compiles fine on it's own. However, if I try to enable debug mode, I get an error:
SQL> alter package mypkg compile debug package;
Warning: Package altered with compilation errors.
SQL> show errors;
No errors.
If I perform another alter command without the debug parameter, then it compiles fine:
SQL> alter package mypkg compile package;
Package altered.
Also, if I compile this package using the "Compile for Debug" button in SQL Developer then I actually get an error message:
Error(1): PLS-00707: unsupported construct or internal error [2603]
Does anyone have any idea what's going on here? I've spent the past couple days searching for a solution and while I've seen many cases of people having the PLS-00707 error, I wasn't able to find anyone who only receives it when compiling for debug.

SRW.APPLY_DEFINITION cause (core dumped) Segmentation fault

When I run report under Concurrent manager, i.e. within Oracle Applications I get this error:
(core dumped) Segmentation fault.
I use SRW.APPLY_DEFINITION in After Parameter Form. When I remove SRW.APPLY_DEFINITION report runs fine.
I tried following in the command line:
$ ar60runb report=/PATH_TO_RDF_FILE/NAME.rdf batch=yes destype=file desname=/PATH_TO_OUTPUT_FILE/NAME.out desformat=XML
and I get this error:
ar60runb: uisfz.c:173: uisfzfn_Fns: Assertion `0' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)
When I remove "batch=yes" or use "batch=no" everything passed fine.
I get the same result when I use .RDF file without SRW.APPLY_DEFINITION in the code.
I have applied the solution from Note:368457.1 but it didn't help.
I want to set "batch=no" when I run report under Oracle Applications or just resolve this problem somehow.

Switching to SDK 7 Causing GUI problems

I have recently upgraded from jdk1.6 to jdk1.7 due to my clients having gone to Java 7. However, I have noticed some GUI changes that are causing problems in my products. For example, the fonts seem to be different. This is causing JComboBoxes to no longer fit on some of my screens. My table rows seem to be a bigger size as well (it looks like there is a vertical margin now), causing my tables to truncate the last row. In general, the font just looks different. I develop on RedHat and my customers mostly use Windows.
I know that I have not given a very specific example, but I am hoping that others have seen this issue and know what is about. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the replies. Due to Jorg's original reply, I realized that there were indeed two different problems, one where the table's header row size was now bigger in Java 7 and another where the default font was different for Java 7, but only for my Linux environment. I will try to figure out the problem specific to my Linux problem later as it does not impact my clients' production environment.
The header row having a different size was causing problems for my environment because I have very specific sizes set for my tables. For example, sometimes I would use a table with one row and empty column names. In Java 6, this would result in a header row with a height of 0. In Java 7, this would cause a header row with a height of 4.
So, I ended up using the following solution. In my custom extension of JTable (that I already had), i added the following code to the constructor. It seems to work fine.

I am aware that this code addition is certainly not the most elegant, but it fixes my production system problems and I didn't see a relatively easy solution that would be more appropriate.
