Seamless Ticker Text

Hello,
I would like to ask on how to make a seamless/continuous ticker text from a news crawler.
Please see link for the fla (source) and xml (where I grab the data) that I created.

I want the text of the ticker to loop seamlessly when it crawls, right now it just give a space after end of data and reset at the starting point.

Ticker text width problem

I have created news ticker in my Flash application. I took
one movie clip and put one dynamic text into it. made the dynamic
text autosize. so text and movie clip width are set to the text
width automatically. I am moving the movie clip by changing the _x
postion of movie clip to implement the scrolling ticker
functionality. It works fine if the text width is less then 7749.
If text width is greater then 7749 then for some interval text
becomes blank even though scrolling is going on properly. Can
anybody help me on this issue.

Seamless Repeating Text Image...

Hello! (again) I'm treating to do a web page background image conformed by several and tiny diagonal lines of text and, although I have found thousands of good tiling tutorials (like THIS (i.e.)) out there, I've not been able to find even one using text into the images... Of course, I'm treating to get the same results in that normal images way but it seems difficult cause you can't fake the text with the "Clone Stump" in that way and get consistent results, or at least that's what it seems to me but... ther sould be a way, is't? So well, do you know any tutorial or example that could help to start in the right direction? If so... THANKS!!! (in advance )

Ticker in the Web reporting

i am trying to add a ticker in my web template.
in ticker we can assign the characteristic values only and i got that but i want to display string(some text) in the ticker.
but it is taking the values only from the dataprovider.
is there anyway to do this using java code.
if anyone have some sample code please inform me.

Try the following:
1. Use the data provider which returns nothing
2. Put the required text in Title
3. Check "Set Heading at Start of Ticker Text".
4. Set Paragraph containing ticker with id = 'pid'.
5. Write following code:

Creating a CNN, Sky type news ticker

Hi,
I have a three minute video and would like to add a news ticker that will loop once during the three minutes. The ticker text is considerable. Before I used to use Sony Vegas. A video I created using Sony Vegas is at http://youtu.be/bmcXM7fE6s0 (jump to 35 seconds into the footage for the ticker at the bottom).
I managed to get credits type text (scrolling vertically) with Premiere Pro but cannot figure out the ticker. Although I've done an introductory Lynda.com course on Premiere Pro this is my first attempt at producing something with Premiere to upload to youtube and am a newbie in this product.
I would be greatful if anyone can point me to a text or video tutorial on this item.

More detailed steps:
Create a new Title (right-click in the project area, click the icon, etc.)
Set it to the sequence dimensions (the default)
Choose the Type tool (the T symbol) - NOT the Area Type tool.
Click once at the bottom-left of the screen, at the vertical position where you want the ticker to be.
Pick the font, size, color, fill, etc on the properties tree that now displays.
Click again on the small vertical box marking the position of the type box, you'll see it flash as the cursor wakes up.
Copy and paste your ticker text - it must be all on one line, so it helps to copy it from a text editor.
The text box will enlarge to fit, so it'll extend waaay off the right side of the window.
Click the Roll/Crawl options tool (the second icon below the name of the title on the panel tab, a set of lines with a vertical arrow)
Choose Crawl Left, and (usually) start/end off screen.
Click OK and close the titler window.
Drop the new title onto the sequence timeline and stretch it out to set the in/out points, and hence the crawl speed.
If you want a lower third background graphic behind the text (anything other than a plain fill), you'll need to put that in another video track beneath your ticker title - everything in your ticker title will crawl.

View requests result in a static text view

Is it possible to show results of a request in Answers in a static text view like in a ticker text view? Using "@"?

Emailing Keynote files

Hi
I cant email my keynote files to a college overseas. When I attach the file it is not attaching the Package contents but just the keynote file name. I can of course export to powerpoint but this never seem to work seamlessly without text realigning on serveral pages.
Is there some way I should attach the file with the package contents?

Welcome to the discussions,Selwyn.
Since all iWork files (and many other files on the Mac) are packages, you need to Archive them before emailing as the "internet" will see these files as folders otherwise. Just Right-Click or Control-Click on the file's icon and choose *Create Archive of "filename"*

Inspection lot generation after every 5th goods receipt

Dear Gurus,
There is a scenario in my project. There are some materials for which the inspection is done on every 5th goods receipt. The inspection of the material will be done for the first time it is coming in the company's premise and for the next four time it will be forwarded directly to the production without any quality inspection. Is it possible in sap to create inspection lot after every 5th inward delivery? Or can anyone suggest me a way to capture this scenario in sap..

Go to tcode QDR1-->Create a DMR with
follwoing steps;
Dyanmic modification : on Lot level
F5
Stage 10 Inspection seviarity :4 Skip :balnk ist: tick Text:first stage
OK

Max. skip duration:Blank
New insp. stage:20
NOT OK
Rejections 1
New insp. stage:10

SAVE
Now use this DMR in task list header at Lot level.
Attach this task list to inspection lot
make sure that you have ticeked on Skip & Auto UD in QM view.
Then in QA16 schecule for Auto UD after every 10 mins or 30 mins.
at plant level also make auto UD & skip 30 mins.
This will skip the 4 lots & UD will be taken in background.
After that it will come to QI
Revert back for More querries.

AIR ANE Notifications

Has anyone tried creating ANE notifications in Flash Pro CS5.5 yet? I'm doing it for android and ios.

I tried to follow the articles closely but i'm getting this error:
"VerifyError: Error #1014: Class com.adobe.ep.notifications::NotificationManager could not be found."
I've added the swc (the .ane file converted to a swc that came with the article's zip file) to my fla's "actionscript 3.0 settings" library path and set its "link type" to "external". Also, I did the AIR 3.0 overlay in Flash Pro but I don't think that really matters since Flash cannot compile it properly anyway.
Here is my code taken mostly from the article. (probably not the best! i'm no expert.)

To finally bring this into the android emulator, I believe I need to create a working swf with no errors. But of course that is where I'm stuck!

@ brad5151:i hope you get notifications working! keep trying! but i'm afraid its missing code. for the vibration example, there is an additional swc (VibrationActionScriptLibrary.swc) that comes with the ANE. but the notification ANE didn't come with an additional swc. there is a "com" folder, but it only has html help files in it. i think maybe its a mistake or something.
1. I wondered about this. But i`v change extension ane to swc and i imported this to fdt. And I have all classe in it. Imports are corect - without any error. But still I dont know is this corect solution.
@brad5151:changing my code to: public var notificationManager:NotificationManager= new NotificationManager(); as you suggested doesn't help. if you look at the vibration links above, he did the same thing i did. he didn't create a "new Vibration()" until after he tested that it "isSupported".
2. In VibrationActionScriptLibrary.swc You have Vibration class and in this class is "
public static function get isSupported() : Boolean;" this is static method. You invoked to this method like this "Vibration.isSuporrted" (capital V). And You can do this without new vibration. Thats why in vibration extension is ok. But when you check class NotificationManager (com.adobe.ep.notifications) isSupported method isnt static. You have check it like this "notificatin.isSuporrted. (small n)" When You have new declaration after if there is an error.
@brad5151:anyway, i cannot build the project. i get this error now: "1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: NotificationEvent." if i cut out all references to NotificationEvent's, then i get the same error for NotificationManager and Notification.

External javascript trouble

Ive got this piece of Javascript to give me a news ticker to
match BBC news, trouble is I just cant get it to call in from an
external .js file. Whetever I do it siimply goes blank on my html

If these scripts work for you in your HTML page, the next
step would be to see your HTML and see how you are linking to your
external .js file.
Your HTML should have a link in your <head> area of the
html page that calls this code (the code displayed above should be
inside a "filename.js" document). Remove the enclosing
<script></script> tags and (I think maybe) the HTML
commenting elements too.
The link in your HTML would look like something this:

How to find the Attribute Tab for 0MOVETYPE?

I am trying to create the Attributes for 0MOVETYPE as per T156HT table. I am not able to find the Attribute tab. Please can you suggest me how to get T156HT data using Generic Datasource structure in BW or Is there any way to get R/3 structure in BW?

T156HT is text table.
You need to load only text ? It doesnt have any attibute.
Go to RSD1
Give your infoobject name.Check under master data/text tab if you have ticked "Text".
You can create generic text datasource using table RSO2.

Void Cheque

Hi All,
I am working with the standard SAP print programme RFFOUS_C and the Cheque Form F110_PRENUM_CHCK. After making the payment thru Payment proposal (F110) when I look at the spool it creates the cheque with one number (say 110021) as in Cheque Register but surprisingly it also create a void cheque with the subsequent cheque number (110022) in Cheque Register.
I really do not know where the problem is, becuase I have not done any change in the customisation.
Please tell me where could be the problem that prompt cheque voiding.

On the variant for RFFOUS_C program set up the fields like:
Filler for digits in words - blank
Number of sample printouts - blank
Payment Document Validation - tick
Texts in recipients lang - blank
Currency in ISO code - blank
No Form Summary Section - tick
Do not Void any Checks - tick

Help designing a custom real estate sign

Hi,
I am currently looking for a new job and am seeking out a career in marketing. I recently got notification of a job opening with a real estate company for a digital strategies marketing manager which would be perfect! The challenge is standing out in a crowd and not to have your resume overlooked by recruiters, HR, etc.
With that said, I have a creative idea that I think will help me stand out. I want to create a real estate sign and customize it. So what I am looking for help with is how to even start this--creating the sign and wood posts. I am not super savvy with Illustrator (or maybe you'd suggest I use a different program) but really want this job and want to show them my creativity and that I know how to stand out from other candidates who aren't nearly as creative with their resume.
If anyone out there could point me in the right direction that would be more than appreciated--maybe you know of a tutorial or could walk me through some steps. I have started playing around with it and I know it can't be that hard and thought maybe someone out there may be able to help. I attached a picture of a sign that I'm looking to mimic. Instead of Sold at the top I'd create a box that says HIRED! Then I may put my pic at the bottom like the realtor and my name and phone number and my website/linkedIn info. I'd customize the actual sign with info from my resume.

If you are open to (even the silliest) suggestions, you may do as follows, in a new RGB document with points (or pixels) as the unit:
1) Create a nice photo of a sold sign from your target real estate company, pole and all, with a nice background;
2) File>Place the photo and adjust the zoom level down so you can see the whole photo, and write down the W value, then lock the photo;
3) Create and fit a stroke/nofill rectangle on top of the SOLD part (it may be just inside the actual sign part), then switch switch to fill/nostroke and match the colour as well as you can (you may change the RGB values in the Color palette);
4) Choose a suitable font and with the Type Tool write HIRED, then move and change size to fit on top of the rectangle from 3);
5) Repeat 3) and 4) for the bottom contact part, with your photo and details;
6) Unlock the original photo.
7) Adapt your Artboard to Fit Artwork, and File>Save for Web (& Devices) as JPEG with maximum quality, in the Image Size insert the W value and tick Text Optimized.
You may save at smaller sizes, too, just divide the W value in the Image Size window by 2, 4, whatever.
This will give you an image (set) you can use (at different sizes), just insert.
I believe this way will fully express your innovative approach (and give them the pleasure of recognition), and it may be the safest way to get you there in time.

How do I auto populate a text box if a check box is ticked in Acrobat XI Pro?

Basically, i have been asked to create a catalogue of sorts for my organisation with a form at the end that will be completed by the end user. it will be a catalogue of books and toys that people can request to borrow from us. Its all specialist equipment that we loan out for disabled people. When they are scrolling through the catalogue i would like there to be a check box and if they would like to borrow that item they would tick that box and any other products that they would like to borrow. Is it possible to have a text box that auto populates with a list of the items they have selected. the form would be similar to the one below. it the box next to Products to borrow i would like it to add products as they tick the boxes in the preceeding pages. I would be happy to share an example document if needed. thanks in advance for any help.

The problem with a drop down is that it would not present all options when printed, and some of our users will be completing this form manually (printed). All options need to be displayed.
Here's an example:
SELECT PREFIX:
A12
B12
C12
They can check one of the above and then based on what they select, I want the next box (a text field) to pre-fill with their selection.
So if they select A12, the text box would automatically fill with A12.
