Search and find jpg files with uppercase extension

Macbook pro 13 inch retina display with OS X Yosemite.
Some of the images I'm working on are being saved with all uppercase extension .JPG.
My questions is:
1) Does anyone know why this is happening?
2) Is there a way to search all the files that have the uppercase extension .JPG?
3) How could I change all the files with uppercase extension .JPG either individually or batch all the files automatically?
4) Is there a way to have my files saved with the normal lowercase .jpg extension for future files?

Which program are you using to edit your jpeg images?
On a normal Mac with HFS Journaled disk format, there is not any difference with upper case or lower case file names - only if you have formatted the disk as a "HFS Journaled Case Sensitive" can you have two files that differ only in case. For example on a disk with normal formatting, if you had a file called abc.jpg you could not create another file called abc.JPG (you will get an error if you try), but on a disk that was formatted as HFS Journaled Case Sensitive you could have both files.
So in your case the upper case files would be opened if you typed in the lower or upper case name.
Do you have a few files with this upper case issue or lots?
If you have only a few just rename them in Finder (Yosemite Finder now has a nice rename feature) - just highlight all the files you want to rename then right-click or control-click and select the item in the options dialog that appears named "Rename xx items" where xx is the number of items you had highlighted.
If you have a lot let me know and will tell you a different way that is easier but involves using the command line in Terminal.
Is it possible you accidentally had the caps lock key pressed when you typed in a name? In any event it doesn't really matter how they got the upper case name, simply changing the names to lower case should fix the problem so that it doesn't happen again.

If you're exporting a project then you'll only get the images in that project. Also if any of the masters are referenced then you won't get those masters unless you check Consolidate masters into exported library
It might be best if you started from the beginning and explained what it is your are trying to do and how you're going about doing it. Also a description of you're hardware/software setup would be helpful.

How can I search and find all files modified since december 1st 2010

I just want to see all the files that have been modified on my Windows Server 2008 since December 1, 2010. I want to see if there is anything unusual. Is this possible without 3rd party software?
I support 2 Windows Server 2008. On one of them, I can't seem to get any advanced search options until I type at least one character in the name of the file I am searching for (but I want to search all files). Even then, the search is slow, it
tells me it did not bring back all results because there are too many and the results window is too awkward to navigate. On the second server, when I click in the search box, it has buttons I can click, one is "Date Modified" but they only have predefined
options like "Last week" and "yesterday".
Every version of windows explorer gets worse and worse at searching. I rarely use it anymore. I usually install "Search Everything" from voidtools.com. You can download, install, index, and search and get your results all more quickly than
finding the results in windows explorer.

It should be caused that Windows Search is not installed on the second server. See following steps to install it:
1) Start Server Manager
2) Click on Roles in the left navigation pane
3) Select Add Role in the Roles Summary pane to the right
4) Select the File Services role and click Next
5) Select the Windows Search role service and Finish the wizard.
Meanwhile, when you search for a file such as "data", input keyword data and click the Advanced Search at the bottom to result box. Then you can select "Data and modified" and "is after" December 1, 2010

Firefox, google chrome, IE8 lose the ability to search and find text on certain archived books. IE7 can search and find. Is there a way to fix this?

Firefox, google chrome, and IE8 all have the same error. The search and find functions for certain on-line archive books does not work on these browsers. They claim that text does not exist. In IE7 the text is found. I can be typing in a word I see on the page and all three still bottom out with this error. Again the search and find function works with IE7 but not these new browsers. And I would love to upgrade from IE7 but cannot.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I second the whole iTunes folder approach.
If for some reason you have split the media folder from the library files then the media folder needs to restored to the same path it used to have while the library files can be copied into the music folder of your new profile.
If in dobut, backup up the entire Documents and Settings folder before wiping the infected drive, but be selective about what you restore as many viruses drop active components capable of reinfecting the compuer in the temp folders and internet caches. It is much easier to backup more than you need than to discover after the fact that you no longer have access to some vital project you'd been storing in a folder on the desktop.

Does anyone know what the file "memeodhelper is? It's preventing me from backing up my home directory. I can't even find the file with search. Hidden somehow?

I would like to backup my Mac by copying my home directory to an external disk. When I try this, it always gets hung up on a file called "memeodhelper" saying I don't have permission to access the file and the paste stops. Can't find the file with a search. Any ideas?

JDeveloper freezes with some searches in "Find in Files"

With some searches in "Find in Files", JDeveloper simply freezes as it hits a file with the keyword. With other searches, it finishes okay. Any idea why that might be?
I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0.

When I import TIF and JPG files with same metadata, only the TIF files are imported. How can I change that?

I have imported and renamed TIF and JPG files with the same metadata re recording date and time. Only the TIF files are imported, the JPG files remain unimproved. Thus I have in the Finder e. g. 13 image files in the same folder in which Lightroom only finds 10 files. Any ideas for resolution welcome!

Turn off the option Preferences > General > Treat JPEG Files Next To Raw Files As Separate Photos. Then do an import again. It appears that, in this instance, LR considers a TIFF to be a "raw" file.

My Spotlight does not find strings in files with .php5 extension. It probably does not consider these as text files.

Thanks for the reply, The files are on a DVD disk. I coverted my family VHS tapes to digital dvds using an HP Media Centre PC five or more years ago cant remember the program but if I get info on the disk ,on the Mac it tells me the extension is IDI_DVD.

I need to get the path and read file(s) with same extension files in the same folder using adobe air, not single file.
Don't have file path even, i have folder path, in that somany files are there. So i need to get which are the same extension(Ex: ".txt", ".sas") files

Files with .ejb extension

I am using the <javadoc> task in an Ant build file. I have several EJB files with th extension .ejb that I want to have included in my javadocs.
I have the following code:

I'm still learning all of this myself with Ant, but looking at your script, it does not appear to be complete. I understand that you need to have certain tags included. The Ant task documentation gives good information, but in brief, in the list of parameters, the required options are indicated. Your script as a minimum, must include either 'sourcepath', 'sourcepatheref', or 'sourcefiles' and you then must include '<d>destdir' (which you already use).

I have never included external files such as the EJB ones you are using, but I have written my own script for generating JavaDoc HTML output. Feel free to use it if it helps.
It uses an external file for the package list (sourcepath), called from the property:

I am trying to recursively delete files with specific extensions. Many of these files have names containing spaces. The following, that I found googling around, didn't work:

What am I doing wrong here?

PS. While writing this I realized that I fogot the dot in out, aux, log, and blx
PS2. I'm experimenting around and don't mind deleting all the files if I do a mistake

for ex : i would like to read all .DAT files from C drive using java.
How is it done

- You create the filter
- You get the list of files
- You open and read each file.
For the first two above you look at java.io.File and listFiles(FileFilter filter).
For the third you find whatever input stream is appropriate from java.io.*
