Is there any component that zip files resulting from a search for later download?

AFAIK not directly. But using the ContentFolios, ContentBasket and ZipRenditionManagement components it can be done. Selected search results (content) can be added to your content basket. This content has to be published to the folio. Saved folio has zip rendition option, which allows download of the content as zip file.

Search and replace, contents from excel file

I have the list in the excel file which needs to replace. The script should read the excel then replace to the opened InDesign documents.
The excel(*.xls) file has two columns, first column has old nos. and the second column has the new numbers to replace.
Ex:
Column 1               Column 2
(Search)               (Replace)
4257/2          =>               1/2
4257/3          =>               1/3
4257/4          =>               1/4
3257/2          =>               1/5
3257/3          =>               1/6

this is a very radical method, because:
1. you don't limit your changeGREP() to a specific table column (possibly the searched texts are found in other strings around the document and changed as well!)
2. you are in trouble if a certain value you want to change exists more than one time (not likely, but who knows?) and you want to change it in diffrent values per instance. That will fail.
If we deal with only ONE column of ONE table, to address issue 1 I would ask the user to select the column of the table and instead of:
app.documents.item(0).changeGrep();
I would use:
app.selection[0].changeGrep();
I don't hope issue 2 will apply in this case.

However, in the case of only one column of one table to change AND if the new excel file contains ALL entries in the exact order (both all old and all new values), you could change the contents of the column by copying from excel to InDesign. No script necessary. The formatting of the old cells will be retained.
You cannot do that by placing the new table to InDesign and copy/paste the new column to the old one, because the formatting of the copied column will be transferred as well (paste without formatting is not an option here).

Content Search and 'Items Matching a Tag' Web Part Not Displaying Results Shown in Preview

Hi
I've been trying to set up both the Content Search and Items Matching a Tag Web Parts with the same issue. In both cases I can create a query which displays the expected results in the Search Result Preview pane but no results are returned when browsing
the page.
I'm a Site Collection administrator
tried viewing the page in IE8, Chrome and Firefox
another user account with Full Control permissions on the site results in the same issue
I've reindexed the site (which has completed as other alterations on the content are now being returned in the normal search results)
I've tried removing and re-adding the offending web parts
The queries in both web parts are pushed back to the most simple possible - ie all documents in the current site collection for the Content Search query and 'Current site collection + Don't restrict by any tag' in the Items Matching a Tag
I haven't touched the display templates or made any other alterations AT ALL - this is a virgin site collection beyond documents in a library
Does anyone have any ideas?

Search: Internet and my Content on 6220 - Internet...

Nokia 6220 and the Search Internet and my Content option on the StandBy screen (also under Menu | Internet | Search)
On my phone this happily goes off to Google and brings a search result page to screen. However, when you click on a link to see the page linked it just briefly flashes and does not show anything - the results page is still there.
Comparing my phone with someon elses 6220 I believe it ought to Open the web browser - but this phone of mine does not. It is only 2-3 weeks old so hopefully not broken as such yet.
Network for what it is worth 3UK, and yes I can use the web browser to do the same task and it connects fine.
Anyone met and know a fix of this?

You can remove them by switching active standby off but this also removes the row of shortcut icons.
But with active standby off you can assign shortcuts to the navi key. For example press left for a new message, down for contacts etc.

Hiding standard search and standard checkin form from UCM content UI

Hi ,
We want to hide standard checkin and standard search from content ui .
Is this possible ? How do we achieve this?
From the admin UI we can do this by enabling the component HideStandardCheckinAndSearch component.
But how do we do it from Content UI?

It depends on what you're trying to achieve. If your users do not want to see standard check-in option in the displayed user interface then you'll have to customize the ADF UI to do so. Implement some sort of ruling feature to display menus. Link suggested by Jiri is good starting point and standard way to customize ADF UI as per documentation.
Regarding implementing filter or any customization on server-side can be viewed as 2 different parts
1. implement profile rule and hide menus - this works for native UI and not content UI. Since content UI is a different EAR deployed on weblogic and page generation is not controlled by CS or any of its configuration parameter.
2. implement filter or other custom option - this kind of feature will help you to prohibit feature execution; but, user will still be accessible to access the search option. This implementation will be not user-friendly. Once users enter some value we display message that feature is not supported. So this option should be your last resort.

Longitude and Latitude to search by zip

I found the formula that calculates distance with zip codes.
Where do I get
the 2nd long and lat for the formula? Do I add the distance
(25 miles) to
both long and lat to get the 2nd set of variables? Or do I
use the base long
and lat add and subtract to get the 2 sets?
Has anyone done a search using zip codes to determine
everything within a
specific range (miles / kilometers)?
And when I get the result of the formula, how does it apply
to getting a
range of zip codes? And how to I query using the result.

Took a lot of tweeting and work, but I got it to finally
work, Thank you so
much!
I had to edit the cfc to work (the SQRT function was spelled
out SQUARE and
gave me fits) and I had to capture and convert a whole new
set of zip codes,
longitudes and latitudes and convert them into the radiuses.
But all in all
it finally worked. The database on the example is written for
MS SQL and I
am using MySQL. Each enough to do. All I had to do is take
the text file,
add headers to the data, save it as a CSV, take it using
CFhttp and loop it
into the MYSQL database while converting the longitude and
latitude into
'rlongitude' and 'rlatitude' which the CFC requires to make
it work.

Search Service for Content Server Items

Does Plumtree EDK provide any API to develop search service to search into specific Content Server items as it provides to search within a specific folder of Knowldege Directory

Creating an XLS file and Zip it

Hi All,
we have a requirement where in we have to create an XLS file from internal table. This xls file then has to be zipped and mailed.
If anyone knows how to create an xls file and zip it in WebDynpro, without using OPEN, CLOSE DATA SET etc, Please let us know. It will be of great help.

You probably want to use CL_ABAP_ZIP instead of CL_ABAP_GZIP. CL_ABAP_GZIP only does compression, which is fine for storing a single packet of data in the database. However CL_ABAP_ZIP is better suited for mult-part zip (multiple inner files).

This seems to be an HR specific class. Better to use the cross application, NetWeaver provided functionality for sending mail - CL_BCS.

Hello - can someone help me please - I am not really well versed in modern electronics
So, as I mentioned in my heading which is rather long (sorry lol) I have had a bad computer virus, now fixed, which has lost me a lot of information. This includes the content of ,my iTunes Library and my ability to access it.
So, can someone help me by telling me how I can gethte music currently in my iPhone back in to the Music Library in my new version of iTunes. Aslo hiow do I now get Album Artwork in to iTunes as well - iI recall that it was really easy when I set it up but this new version is causing me all sorts of heartache when I tried just now - hence my plea for help.
I hope you can help and that I can hear fromoyuvery soon

iDevices are not backup devices.
Use the backup of the computer to put the content back on the computer.
If not backup exists and the content was purchased via iTunes, connect the device and select File > Transfer purchases. This will not restore playlists, playcounts or any other library specific data.
If the media was not purchased via iTunes, search google for ways to extract it from the iPhone.
Whatever you do, going forward make sure you back up your media and other important files regularly.

How do I search and replace for invisibles in Pages 5.5.2?

Three related problems all involving search and replace for invisibles.
1. A block of text where all double returns need to become single returns.
2. A block of text where all returns need to be replaced with a single word space.
3. A block of text where all double word spaces to be replaced with a single word space.
Pages 09 could do all three this handily. How can these be done in Pages 5.5.2?

Nothing to search for and therefore nothing to replace. Am now wondering what that little scoop to the right of the eyeglass icon might indicate. Clicking on it reveals this:
Definitely not "a solution that just works."

How do I search and replace in comments in Acrobat XI?

I use a Mac and just downloaded Acrobat Pro XI specifically to search and replace phrases in comments in a large PDF. According to this Adobe Help page, I should be able to do this: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/searching-pdfs.html I copied the relevant section below and marked with ***. However, I don't see I don't see an arrow for the options that would allow me to include comments. I understand how to include the comments with advanced search, but I want to also replace text. I also checked in preferences and searched the forums. Could someone please advise and maybe include a screenshot, if possible. Thanks!
Choose Edit > Find (Ctrl/Command+F).
Type the text you want to search for in the text box on the Find toolbar.
To replace text, click Replace With to expand the toolbar, then type the replacement text in theReplace With text box.
(Optional) Click ***the arrow ***next to the text box and choose one or more of the following:
Whole Words Only
Finds only occurrences of the complete word you type in the text box. For example, if you search for the word stick, the words tick and sticky aren’t found.
Case-Sensitive
Finds only occurrences of the words that match the capitalization you type. For example, if you search for the word Web, the words web and WEB aren’t found.
Include Bookmarks
Also searches the text in the Bookmarks panel.
***Include Comments***
Also searches the text of any comments.

Search and Replace in Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver CS3has a nice search and replace tool allowing for search and replacement of very large text strings.
Does anyone know of a good notepad editor that can handle that large of replace text strings.
Seems like most cant handle that much code in terms of search and replace.

If you're looking for something free/cheap that handles multi-line search and replace in source code, then there's always TextWranger if you're on a Mac:

There are plenty of Windows equivalents, but none I've used extensively and could recommend. This one is free:

...and has a button to expand the find/replace fields for multi-line content.
That being said, they're not really going to do anything DW can't if you're already using DW.

How to sync iPhone with MBP connected via ethernet to PowerBook where iTunes and iPhoto content resides

I just got the iPhone 5, but I am still using a PowerBook G4 machine that will not sync with my new iPhone. I was wondering if I could
1) create a new user for myself on my brother's MBP
2) connect that MBP with my PowerBook via ethernet
3) have iTunes and iPhoto on my new MBP user to be mapped to my PowerBook iTunes and iPhoto Library folders respectively
4) sync the iPhone with my new user on my brother's MBP and acquire all of the content from the iTunes and iPhoto libraries that reside on my PowerBook
Will this work? Does anyone recommend a different solution to get the content from my PowerBook G4 1.33 to my new iPhone 5

Now I have made a search and you are right. A problem which seemed unique to me is, in fact, very common. It is unbelievable that on one hand the Apple programmers can create great software, but on the other hand they act like retards when they forget about some basic functionality. I really can't believe that I will lose my purchases simply because at Apple nobody thought that people do install a fresh system from time to time. What a shame.
But what about consolidation of accounts? I am being asked to provide account ID which I don't even remember anymore. It seemed natural for me that I download some applications and simply go on with life, just as in about any other website on the internet. But suddenly Apple says that I will not be able to save or transfer my application because I need some funky ID. Hello Apple... My application is already on my phone so I should be able to copy it where I want without some ID. That's really odd.
Anyway, I will try to search the forum and solve my problems. I simply didn't even think in my wildest dreams that Apple software could be sometimes so ********.

Difference between a Search and a Retrieve web service?

Anyone has any idea what's the difference between a Search and Retrieve web-services generated by the 7.1 WS Generator? It seems like you can use both to retrieve any kind of result definition and search by any field.
I don't mind really, just curious if I'm missing something.
