Search Bar : "Go button only appears when text in the bar"
With the new update they have made it so that the "Search" button in the "Search bar" only appears when there is text on it.
While probably a minor (in)convinence for most, it had become a browsing habit for me, to middle mouse click the search in an empty search to take me to "google.com" in a new tab (or whatever search engine was set).
I would like to know if its possible to tweak something in order to bring back the search button so it stays there.
I know there is easy workarounds for this (bookmark comes to mind), but having browsed like this for many years I would like to continue doing so if possible.

Hmm, it takes a little doing, but I think so.
When the bar is empty, the code that generates the little image of the arrow has a new attribute set, which is hidden="true". There is a corresponding style rule to suppress the arrow when hidden="true". You can use a custom style rule to override the built-in rules, and apply it to the interface using either:
* Stylish extension ([https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/stylish/])
* userChrome.css file ([http://kb.mozillazine.org/userChrome.css])
This is a rule you could use:

How can we make the Retake Quiz button only appear when user reenters the course?
In a Captivate 8 Quiz, we need to force the user to close the course (so attempts are captured by the LMS) from the Quiz Results page. The Retake Quiz button cannot show at this time. However, when the learner reenters the course from the LMS, the bookmarking brings the user to the Results page again. We need a Retake Quiz button to only show when the user reenters the course, not on Quiz completion. Disabling the bookmarking disables the reporting of attempts. Does anyone know a way to make that happen or a workaround?

Safari status bar disappears. I have tried clicking on show status bar, under the View tab and it will only appear when I move the cursor to the top of the screen. I can not minimize the open page, only full screen or close the browser. Any idea how the rectify this issue?
One enters and exits full-screen with control+command+F keys. This is on the View menu in Safari. Optionally, the green traffic light in your browser title bar, if you roll over it, has the full-screen control it it. While in full-screen mode with Safari, moving your mouse pointer virtually up, and off-screen reveals the Safari title bar again, and you can click the green traffic light to exit full-screen mode.
You can hide/show the status bar by simply typing command+/. This too, is on the Safari View menu. and in 10.10.1 — it works reliably for me. -
Hit Counter button not appearing when I upload the web site.
I am using iWeb version 3.0.4 on OS 10.6.8, and on the Welcome page, I added the Hit Counter button. When I upload the web site, the Hit Counter button does not appear. Anyone have any solutions as to why it isn't appearing? Thanks...

Eugene, OregonWhere are you hosting the site? The counter will not work on ftp servers, only on MobileMe. If you are hosting on MobileMe increase the footer height considerable and publish. If the counter then appears you can move it closer to the body/footer border and reduce the footer height.

With Explorer, the name tags do not appear on the pictures until I mouse over a specific person, at which point the tag appears. With Firefox, the name tags appear as soon as the picture is loaded, and only disappear when you mouse over the people in the picture. This makes the picture look messy; by default, one would want to see a picture without tags all over people's faces.

Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen. -
Buttons just appearing as text for certain clients until enabled with onClick and enabled
Would anyone know why buttons may disappear for some clients but not others. I'm not finding a consistent pattern. When I sign in locally or through vpn they display and behave properly, but when I sign in externally via Chrome or IE 11
sometime the buttons only appear as text other disable buttons that are enabled on click. I have a laptop with ie11 Win8 and desktop with ie11 win7. The laptop displays the buttons proper behavior and the desktop does not.
anyone have any ideas. Someone was working on the server recently and I'm wondering if any IIS setting may cause this problem. Thanks for help!

App bar not appearing when I tap the ellipses

Does your tapped handler get called?
It looks like your buttons stack panel may be on top of your ellipses. Try reversing that so the ellipses are on top:

I cannot add an event on my iPhone or iPad calendars. The "plus" button, or add event button does not even appear when I open the app.
Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly, that did not fix it. I changed the sync setting as you described, but I still don't get my older events. I have turned my IOS devices off and on again too. One more piece of information, the only events I see for October are recurring events. Either one day events like birthdays set to repeat every year, or events within the month that spanned more than one day. No one time events or appointments are showing.

Buttons only appear after menu loops
I am new to encore and I am having some problems. I have set up my menu to loop and a certain point and I have put all my buttons on the menu. When I go to preview the menu, the buttons only appear after the menu loops for the first time. I am sure there is a simple solution, but if someone could help me out that would be great.

iphone 4: Home Button Not Working. The home button only works when it is connected to iTunes, once i disconnet it does not work, i have tried a restore to factory settings but it still is not working. Any suggestions?
Apple, as I said, does not repair your iPhone. All hardware service issues are handled by replacing the unit. So they can't handle the home-button issue without also addressing the issue of the cracked screen, for which they'll almost certainly charge you. But you can make an appointment at an Apple Store or call Apple tech support and plead your case.

I am having the problem when trying to take a panorama picture.
It may only take the first frame or doesn't even start at all when I press the shutter button.
even though when i hold the phone straight up and down, so that camera is at the top on the back and the home button is on the bottom on the front.
This problem is irritating me....?To take panorama
- ensure that the panorama option is on
- press the shutter button once
- you will see a line with an arrow
- move around in a circle ( I keep the camera steady and turn myself around in a circle)
- as you do this you will see the arrow moving across the screen as it captures pictures
- at the end of the capture, you will be able to see your panorama picture

In iTunes 11, there is no scroll bar in full page Albums view. It does appear when you minimize the screen, but on my computer, the scroll is hidden and the resizing of the screen does not work. Is there a fix? Also, how do you sort tracks/songs in Album view? When I import lengthy audiobooks, the inability to sort through hundreds of tracks is really ticking me off. Again, is there a fix?
Apple... Before you tell me all the great features in iTunes 11, let me just say they are duly noted. But, I would rather have the option to do things on my own, rather than being forced to conform to your techies need to be creative. I don't use Genius or Playlists, so the ability to sort in them is useless to me.It's been many, many years since I don't do dual boot anymore. Don't find the reason to do it, either. Different kinds of virtualization should be enough. Anyway...
