Search criteria variations on a report

Hi all
I have have created a report search variations where users can search by
(consultants or clients) and (date_ from and date_to). It works fine the first time lets say if I enter consultant details and dates but I want to enter the client and date search and I don't physically clear the consultant field then I get a mixture of client and constultant between the 2 dates. I am not sure how to overcome this. Do I change work on session states or is it possible to have a radio button that the user selects the type of search and this will automatically clear this field? Or is there a much simpler way of having accurate multiple searches.

Hi.
Dude, you can do this in various ways, and if you want to separate the type of searches then I think that using a radio button for specifying the type of search is cool.
Using the radio button you can (on the query) validate which type of search is the one that is valid. You can also add some javascript to disable the fields that are not considered for the search in order to help the user understand (even more) what he/she is doing.

Well - it's a report so there won't be a user exit. I think your options are what the others (and you) have suggested - change the standard program or make a copy.
There are different opinions on the forum about which to do.

Modifying reports search criteria screen

Hi
I am trying to add a little functionality to the Serial Number Transaction Report search criteria screen, however cannot seem to catch any events for the form and therefore cannot do anything with it. With this screen being a report associated screen does this still allow for tasks such as validating edit boxes etc. to be carried out, as on a normal system form i.e. Sales Order.
If so why could it be that I cannot seem to catch any events?

Have you tried using the B1 Event logger tool? When I use that and goto the serial # transaction report menu option (form 22) I see events being triggered in the log. Are you registering any events for that form in your add-on?

Custom field in the search criteria of contract management in SRM - POWL

Hi,
I have to add a custom field in the search criteria of the POWL query for Contract Management. I have done adjusting of the POWL by adding the custom field in the /SAPSRM/S_POWL_RESULT_CTR and /SAPSRM/S_SEARCH_RESULT_CTR. I have created entries in TREX and Field cat but still the field is not visible in the query.
Please let me know how can i get the visibility of custom field on the POWL query for contract.

Search criteria on manually created tabular form

Hi All,
Apex v4.0
DB 11g
In a page I have created one manually tabular form using collection .
My requirement is :- Search criteria on the form based on 3 column field of that form.
I tried to use LIKE, EQUAL in the select statement of the query. BUT search option is not working .
When I tried to search ,it doesn't return anything.
But its working on wizard base TF.
I am not sure this one option for search criteria on the manually created TF.
Kindly suggest any other way we can achieve it.

Remember that the values on an apex page is only accessible once you submit your page.
And for tabular forms the values needs to be processed to the apex collections after you submit.
For better understanding what happens inside the collections I suggest that you always make a conditional report with
select * from apex_collectionsand Condition
Where Value of item in expression1 = Expression2
Expression1
DEBUGExpression2
YESThis way you can show the content of your collections easily by just enabling debug.

If you meant a situation like: Page 1 has some items and page 2 has a report which refers page 1 itemsThen your report _query would fetch proper results provided the page 1 item values are available in the session_.
That is, after submitting their values(using page submit,dynamic action,ajax etx) to session state , their values would be available in any page (anywhere in that session ) , until the page cache for the item page(page 1) is cleared.

Bug in app store using search criteria

When using the search option in the app store a bug occurs.
When jumping between options like update and whipping the search criteria.
After the jump the search criteria appears again.
How can you report such a bug?

I am having a sql query report which retrieves rows based on user's input in the field. Total number of rows returned is 8. And I chose pagination with previous and next options. And the number of rows is set be 5. When I click on next, the search criteria in the field is lost and the result is not displayed. I am reading a lot about pagination in the forums, but I am lost at this point. I am new and still taking little steps. Can someone be kind and point me in right direction, give me some advice.

Thank you for replying. Yes, You are right in that I did have a clear session process on load-after footer clear cache of page 3. I put that because, after I run the search page and do some modifications and rerun the page, I still had the old search criteria retained. So, now I will need to figure out at what point I should put clear cache process! If you have any ideas to share I appreciate it. I do thank you for your time.

Hi,
1. Not possible to put validation for selection criteria windows.
2. In standard, I don't think it is possible to hide only one item group.
3. Alternatively don't give authorization to user for running sales reports. If still need create customized query and ask user run every month.

Enhance Search Criteria in bt111s_oppt

I need to enhance a search criteria as follows:
The opportunities in the result list have to be shown only in case the user searching for them is a Sales team member on the opportunity in the result list.
In case of BP search there is a nice class which can be used for the purpose of enhancing of the search criteria. How about opportunity. IS there a class or a BADI?

Log in to your account, and move all your files to your home folder. No other users should be able to access them there and they won't show up with a Spotlight search.
Make sure your kids' account(s) do not have admin privileges.

How to add a new search criteria in Advance Search Page in OAF

In my application (R12) we can access customer related information from 2 places (2 different responsibilities as mentioned below), both are OAF pages.
1. AX receivables
2. Sales online
From both the responsibilities we can perform search for customer related information as well (Simple as well as Advance Search).
But Advance Search screen from 'Sales online' allows user to perform search, based on few additional fields as well such as 'Classification' (it's an lov based field).
Now, User is asking to add that field on search page of AX receivables as well.
So, how to add one more field (as search criteria), on an standard 'Customer' screen?
Additional Info :
1. LOV is based on HzPuiClassificationFilterVO
2. And this VO is available on both pages. (oracle.apps.ar.hz.components.search.server.HzPuiClassificationFilterVO)
So can we achieve this by Personalization only ? if yes plz share the steps as well.

Yes. It is possible through personalization.
1. Create a criteria row under Advance Search
2. Create a Result Item under advance table columns
3. Create a Query Criteria Map based on the criteria and result item above.
Please note the newly added criteria field should be in the Searchresults VO attributes list.
Otherwise you need to extend the VO as well.

How to use a subreport field as selection criteria for the main report

   I created a report with one subreport and im comparing information from both reports but i need to apply selection criteria in the main report using one of the fields in the subreport, the problem is that the subreport field doesnt appear in the select expert screen. By any chance, someone knows how make a subreport field be used by the select expert.
