Search function, user/member login, shopping cart

I'm hitting some major walls here. I'm a graphic designer and I am building a website for a company that needs a search function for their products, a user/member function so customers can have accounts, and also a shopping cart.
I need a pro to point me in the right direction on how I can set this up. My experience thus far has been basic ccs/html.
Zoomindex was refered to me but I am on a Mac and I didnt see a Mac version.
Can these three things be built in Dreamweaver?

You'd need to know how to program server-side code (php, asp, asp.net) etc to be able to pull something like that off. You're going to want to look into using a third-party content mangement system (CMS), and then "style" that CMS to look like what you want.
I'd recommend either WordPress or Drupal for your project. Both WordPress and Drupal will handle the search and user registration out of the box and each has several options to add shopping carts.

Search function in Catalog from Shopping cart does not work well

Hello,
We use SRM 5.0 with CCM 2.0 and have the following situation:
From the shopping cart we open a catalog and want to search material by number, for example number 7. Entering this material number directly in the search funtion on the catalog screen, it brings us not only the position with material number 7 buy aso all positions we have a number 7 in its materialnumber (2371, 743, 9957, etc) and a 7 in its description (Screw Bolt 7/3 for example).
I wonder if this normal behaviour of the SRM system or is this an error (with a note OSS asociated).
If this is normal behaviour, how can one search for only the material 7?

With regarding to items with 7 in the description
- It should be consequence of your procurement catalog definition. In schema tab, Catalog characteristics in the /CCM/SHORT_DESCRIPTION you have checked the Relevant for text-based search check-box
With regarding to the 7 results
- Please try using the advanced search option exact phrase or using "7"

Dump (RABAX_STATE) when user holds a shopping cart

When the user tries to hold a shopping cart, copied from one existing, the system gives back an error (dump). The activities executed from the user are:
1) Add cost center; Change WBS and Cost Assignment in Default settings for items;
2) Select the shopping cart to copy from Old Purchase order and templates, choosing by flag the lines to add at new shopping cart;
3) Change Required on data;
4) Insert name of shopping cart;
5) Check shopping cart and choose Hold shopping cart.
The error messages are following:
ERROR IN ELABORATION OF THE OWN REQUEST.

An exception that could not be caught occurred. The error has been taken place in application the server sapsrpci_SRP_00 and in operating process 0.

Which SRM version are you using ?
Couple of reasons can be possible in this case.
1) Some OSS note is missing or Applied incorrectly.
2) some SPRO configuartion settings missing (Probably may be related to the GL Account, Product category, Cost Center, WBS Element, etc)
3) Incocnsistent data existing in some of the templates in the Old purchase orders & templates.
4) Business Partners like Vendors data etc. are not consistent
5) Some missing authorizations in the system attached to the log-on user.
Basic checklist
Are you using standard roles for the user who logged on in this tenascation on Web Page (refer PFCG transaction and SU01 Transaction ) ?
When you are using the Internal ITS,you need not run the report W3_PUBLISH_SERVICES.(only SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INT )
ALso pls check the foll:
-->activate the services through SICF tcode.
> Go to SICF transaction and activate the whole tree under the node Default host>sap>bc>gui>sap>its.
>Also maintain the settings in SE80>utilities>settings>internet transaction server-->test service/Publish. (BBPSTART , BBPGLOBAL, BBPSC01 etc)
Table TWPURLSVR should have entries for the / SRM server line as well as gui and web server.
Could you please review again the following steps ?
Did you check that ICM was working correctly (Transaction - SMICM) ?
1-Activate the necessary ICF services
With transaction SICF and locate the
services by path
/sap/public/bc/its/mimes
/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
2- Publish the IAC Services
With Transaction SE80 locate from
the menu Utilities -> Settings ->
Internet Transaction Server (Tab) ->
Publish (Tab) and set On Selected
Site = INTERNAL.
3- Locate the Internet Services SYSTEM and WEBGUI.
Publish these services with the Context
Menu -> Publish -> Complete Service
4- Browse to http://<server>:<icmport>/sap/bc/gui/
sap/its/webgui/! and login to the
webgui.
Also, Check any logs are there in ST22, RZ20, SM21 and SLG1 transactions.
Try to get more precise, and if possible, please paste the complete short dump details using ST22 Transaction.
Incase nothing helps, Please raise an OSS message with SAP as well.

Disable 'Find' (good /service) function in 'items in shopping cart' SRM 5.5

Hi SRM experts,
after clicking on Shopping Cart (- Full functionality) you have the choice of searching in catalogs or you can scroll down to 'Items in Shopping cart' and enter the product-id directly in 'Good / Service'.
How can I disable this 'Find' option? So not the whole line, but only the 'find' option with the binoculars.

Use BBP_DP_PROD_CHK_BADI.
Method PRODUCT_CHECK
Clear the parameter EV_DP_POSSIBLE.

Restricting the Search for Material while creating Shopping Cart

HI SRM GURUS
We are in SRM version 5.0 and following a classic scenarios.
In search strategy while we are creating a shopping cart and we click on the start button a list of all the materails appear from where the user can select any item.
Now in R/3 if a user belongs to Mumbai plant can we restrict the search that only material existing in Mumbai plant in R/3 appears in the search criteria and not that all the materials are displayed.

The Plant related data for products/material is not stored anywhere in SRM.Then where can I apply the filters for the materials pertaining to the specific plants through the BADI BBP_F4_READ_ON_ENTRY through the Method GET_PRODUCT?

Function module to read Shopping cart

Folks,
The answer I am looking for is not BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL.
Here is the situation: During the approval process, the approver needs to be able to change few fields. So, i used the secur_badi to give him a "Change shopping cart" button. But, when he hits the change, all the fields on the shopping cart are available for change. So, this guy could monkey around and change some of the fields he is not suppose to change and I need to catch this in the check badi.
So, I started using the BADI "BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI" and used FM 'BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL' to get the shopping cart details. But, this gives me only the PRESENT values on the screen ... and I need to compare it with the shopping cart values in the database. Is there any function module that could help me here?
The idea is to compare field by field and throw an error if he chnages the fields he is not supposed to chnage. (ugly ha!)

Hi Sri,
You are right, calling BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL during the user session will retrieve the data in user session memory, and not the physical one stored in the database.
So you have 2 solutions:
- check each field value against physical value in DB: direct SQL access in SRM tables (CRMD_ORDERADM..., BBP_PD...)
- change the PBO modules "modify_screen" of each SC screen to close wanted fields if sy-tcode = SC aproval TCODE. this would be eased if a BADI was available for SC screens (like BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI).
I prefer the 2nd one.

Search function in member filter shows multiple entries by value

Dear all,
when using the search function to specify a filter on specific members, we are facing the issue that in the result area, the result value for one member is displayed redundantly several times.
The access mode is set to "values in masterdata", but as my members are unique by key, I wonder why the members are shown multiple times.
Does anyone has a solution for this?

in this case I clearly do not have any compound elements, as 0PLANT is a stand alone characteristic. Other objects like 0MAT_PLANT (where I would have a compound element of 0PLANT) are not available in the providers - and even then it would be strange if AO would check against this objects when I try to apply a filter on a different member....

Address search in SRM 7.0 Shopping Carts

Could anyone advise where the search fields (general value list) for the Delivery Address/Performance Location can be changed in SRM 7.0 and where the columns from the search results can also be changed.
Is there a similar place in SPRO to changing the POWLs and queries?

You want add a field or hide a field in General value List screen???..
If you want to hide some fields you can do that through SPRO via Extension and Field Control (Personalization) -> Configure Control for Fields of Substructures
To add filed: Even it is standard or customer filed, if youu2019re looking for layout adjustment than the only option is weddynpro enhancement.. On the other hand if your don't care about layout, then you can archive this through above mentioned config itself..

Hi NAP,
If you want to see others shopping cart, probably you are looking for team shopping cart functionality. In team shopping cart, the shopping cart creator can define his team and all the members of the team can see the shopping cart. At any point of time, they can take over the shopping cart and do the follow-on activities for the cart.
You have to enable the team shopping cart functionality in 'define transaction types' for your shopping cart. On activating the option, when you create a shopping cart, you get the checkbox option 'Team shopping cart'. You need to check the check box for that.
You can define the team in your personalization tab.
There is a very good wiki available on team shopping cart functionality launched in SRM 7 in SDN forum. You can refer the details for that.

Add user search functionality in a custom form

Hi,
I am new to IDM . I have two doubts regarding search functionality. Please help me out.
1. I want to add a user search option for a field and populate the value(user name ) from the searched result to that filed. The search option should have some search criteria like firstname ,lastname ,userid etc; depending on which we can search a particular user and after selecting one record that data should populate to that filed. Please let me know how can I archive that functionally? Is it possible to use the existing (out of box) search operation for it.
2. When we use selector, is it possible to change the default search option. I want to search depending on some criteria like firstname,lastname ,userid etc.

I know this is old post - but I dealed with this requirement one and I knew it's pain. So, I just want to share my little expereinced here if someone else needed it.
For this requirement - I have to customed the jsp pages. The file is tjspSearchUserTiles.jsp in the xlWebApp war file under tiles folder. What I did is check the current loging user's group. If he/she belong to Manager group, I set the search value Users.Manager Login equal to the username (this user name attribute alway available in the selvet section throught the USR BEAN.
If you could make this cutomization work from your OIM env you then could customize alot more.

SAP function to delete shopping cart (set header status I1040)?

Does anyone know of a SAP function which can delete a shopping cart (set header status I1040)?
We're running the EBP extended classic scenario with SRM 4.0 and SRM_SERVER 5.00.

I don't know about the OP's reasons, but I've been looking for a similar solution as well. In my case our users sometimes create shopping carts under e.g. the wrong budget code, and the approvers don't always catch this, resulting in an approved SC that we can't change or delete but equally can't use.
I'll check out those fcns, thanks for that. From your question it sounds like there's some reason why this shouldn't be done though? Would this be seen as a bad practice? How would you recommend dealing with the above situation?

Add shopping cart item functionality is not working in PO

Hi Experts,
I found that Add shopping cart item functionality is not working in Purchase order.
We are raising the Purchase order in SRM and i am trying to use the Add shopping cart item functionality to add the shopping carts line item in to purchase order.
Once I will click on start search, it will give me a list of Approved shopping cat and when I am trying to add any shopping cart in PO line item, nothing is happening and It is not allowing me to add the shopping cart line items in to this PO and also there is no error message.
Please suggest us how i can fix this issue.

ITunes 9-- No "Shopping Cart", "Wish List" a poor substitute!

I miss greatly the easy functionality of the iTunes8 "Shopping Cart".
iT9's "Wish List" lacks SC's functionality and ease of use.
Has anyone who valued the iT8 Shopping Cart's functionality found a way to approach it in iT9?
I haven't and really miss it-- but maybe I just haven't figured WL out yet?
There seem to be two ways to populate your Wish List:
1. use the drop down menu beside the "Buy" button in iTunes Store, or
2. drag your song to your own Wish List album (i.e. an album you create with that name).
#1 method I have found to be incredibly frustrating:
a. It took my a long time to figure out how to access that WL (iT Help was silent about this).
Answer: from iTunes Store's home screen, hold mouse over your user name in upper right hand corner of home screen and an arrow for a drop-down list appears including Wish List. The resulting list had my new songs in it and a bunch that seemed to have come from iT8 (I maintained a "Shopping List album to back up my SL because periodically it became inaccessible and I had trouble getting Apple to reset it for me) but it is really unpleasant to use, especially if you have a lot of songs there. If you are trying to access the most recent songs added, it is especially cumbersome-- it's divided up into pages and the song list sub-window, within the main window, goes off the bottom of my iMac 24" screen. Therefoer, you have to scroll down to get to the song list sub-window and then scroll again within that sub-window because the song list's page isn't fully shown and you have to scroll down within it to even see all songs on that one page. Then, Worse yet, the song list is into multiple pages, each of which requires a click to see content. You cannot get an overview within your own WL. Even more frustrating, every time you buy a song, this awkward display reverts to the first line of the first page which causes you to have to go thru this whole process all over again. Ugh.
#2. The 2nd method of making your own Wish List album is better, but still requires you to deal with the awful scrolling window within a scrolling window. I can't get any large overview of the various arrangements of a song that I am searching for. iT9's approach makes me feel awkward and blind compared to iT8. To populate your WL album, you must individually drag each song into a relatively small album accurately and one at a time. This is a pain vs. just double clicking on it in iT8 to add it to my SC. Once you've got the songs you want in your WL, you can see and sort them much like you could in the old SC. So the real problem I'm encountering here is the basic way that iT9 is designed to display music search results-- what I call scrolling windows within scrolling windows. I tried using the view menu to make it the kind of sweeping view that iT8 offered, but nothing seemed to improve the view.
Has anyone else found a work-around to recover the functionality lost in replacing SC's with WL's? Any user tips would be greatly appreciated! I used to really enjoy perusing iT8 and comparing varying artists/arrangements of the same song and this has become really unpleasant in iT9. I love iOS4 for my iPhone 3G though and had to update to iT9 for that. Too bad there's such a trade-off required!

This was discussed ad nauseum when iTunes 9 first came out months ago. If you search the discussions (using the Search Discussions box above and to the right), you'll probably find some of the myriad threads on the subject.
