Searching by Criteria: what are the keywords?
I want to search for files using just criteria (created, last opened, etc.), without regard to file name or contents.
It works putting "created:>10/1/2007" into the search box (finder or spotlight). I couldn't get it to find by "Last opened:>10/1/2007". I finally figured out it was "last opened date:>10/1/2007".
I can't find any comprehensive list of what the keywords are for metadata. Is there such a thing?
Also, I think there is an error in the help file for spotlight. It says:
"author:tom AND author:thom searches for items authored by Tom and Thom, in case you don’t know the exact spelling of his name"
I think the AND should be an OR. I don't think you'd get ANY result from the search shown.
There needs to be a thorough discussion of searching somewhere. It's an absolutely fabulous feature, but needs abit more documentation I think.
You're going to have to ask your e-mail provider. We don't have the slightest clue who that is, much less what the correct settings would be.

Hi All,
We are migrating from on-premise SharPoint 2010 to SharePoint online 2013.
I have few questions below:
What are the possibilities and limitations of using Out of the box content search webpart?
Also, how the cross site publishing will work in SharePoint online something with managed navigations and product catalog apporach? if it is not supported, then what are the alternatives to acheive the same?
Appriciate any commnets/clarifications.Thanks in advance.
Thanks,

Compare the strengths and limitations of the Web Parts
It’s important that you understand the strengths and limitations of the two Web Parts because if you choose the wrong one, your site could run into performance problems. You can use both Web Parts to show content that is based on a query. In a simplified
world, here’s how you can decide between the two:
Use the CQWP when you have a limited amount of content, your query is simple, and you don’t expect your content to grow much in the future.
Use the CSWP in all other scenarios when you want to show content that is based on a query.
The table below gives a comparison of the two Web Parts:
Web Part behavior

What are the criterias for supporting the Cisco AP1242?
I need to support and configure the Cisco APs. May I ask what are the additional certificates that I need other than CCNA in order to support the APs.
There are carious certification that might help. For one, the CCNA hs some wireless... you will need a background on basic route switch. Lke mentione earlier, the CCNA for wireless should have alot of information. these certifications just don't cover the 1242's. They cover RF, autonomous, LWAPP. antenna gain and power.... all the other goodies that can help you troubleshoot issues better.

Does anyone know what does the keyword section do?
Does anyone know what does the keyword section do? Under "Any of the webpages -> Properties -> Basic tab -> Tags/Keywords"?
Is it used for part of the google search? Its tagging (Classification), one of the bright feature of any content management system. It allows author to classify the content in system. There are various advantages but i would refer you to go through http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/wcm/tag_admin.html. Apart from that you can search in google as well to find relative information about classification in content management system.

What are the steps to optimise ABAP code
What are the steps to optimise ABAP code, that is how to increase the performance of a code?
Hi
Welcome to SDN forum
1) Dont use nested select statements
2) If possible use for all entries in addition
3) In the where addition make sure you give all the primary key
4) Use Index for the selection criteria.
5) You can also use inner joins
6) You can try to put the data from the first select statement into an Itab and then in order to select the data from the second table use for all entries in.
7) Use the runtime analysis SE30 and SQL Trace (ST05) to identify the performance and also to identify where the load is heavy, so that you can change the code accordingly
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/5d0db4c9-0e01-0010-b68f-9b1408d5f234
ABAP performance depends upon various factors and in devicded in three parts:
1. Database
2. ABAP
3. System
Run Any program using SE30 (performance analys) to improve performance refer to tips and trics section of SE30, Always remember that ABAP perfirmance is improved when there is least load on Database.
u can get an interactive grap in SE30 regarding this with a file.
also if u find runtime of parts of codes then use :
Switch on RTA Dynamically within ABAP Code
*To turn runtim analysis on within ABAP code insert the following code
SET RUN TIME ANALYZER ON.
*To turn runtim analysis off within ABAP code insert the following code
SET RUN TIME ANALYZER OFF.
Always check the driver internal tables is not empty, while using FOR ALL ENTRIES
Avoid for all entries in JOINS
Try to avoid joins and use FOR ALL ENTRIES.
Try to restrict the joins to 1 level only ie only for tables
Avoid using Select *.
Avoid having multiple Selects from the same table in the same object.
Try to minimize the number of variables to save memory.
The sequence of fields in 'where clause' must be as per primary/secondary index ( if any)
Avoid creation of index as far as possible
Avoid operators like <>, > , < & like % in where clause conditions
Avoid select/select single statements in loops.
Try to use 'binary search' in READ internal table. Ensure table is sorted before using BINARY SEARCH.
Avoid using aggregate functions (SUM, MAX etc) in selects ( GROUP BY , HAVING,)
Avoid using ORDER BY in selects

What are the attributes available on Task Status Notification?
Hi,
I need to send the information below when a task is completed or rejected. So I would like to know if they are available. I think so because I've got them from Task Status Notification (OIM standard email definition). If not, what are the attributes available on Task Notification?
<Tasks.Task Name> is <Task Details.Status>.
<Task Details.Status>
<Resource.Resource Name>
Target User: <Users.First Name> <Users.Last Name> [<Users.User ID>]
Assigned to: <Task Information.Assignee First Name> <Task Information.Assignee Last Name> [<Task Information.Assignee User ID>]
Response Code : <Responses.Response>
Response Description : <Responses.Description>
Error Details : <Task Details.Reason>
Thanks,
Renato.
Hi,
I have implemented some java code to workaround the problem below... But I don't believe this does'n work in OIM :-):-):-):-) Please, tell me if you are using task status notification in OIM and if your email defintion has the variables below.
Thanks,
Hi,
One of OIM email templates is Task Status Email Notification. I am trying to notify the user (Notification tab) using this template but it didn't work. Even when I set the Object Name and Process Name values for an email definition, it does not work.
How have you implemented task status notification in your workflows? I think if this template exists in OIM, by default, so it is posible to have the information below during notifications.
I think I'll have to call Oracle's Support.

I didn't get any answer until now.. Below it is what I've done.
a) Create an entity adapter that is assigned to the post-update of the Specific Task Info data object.
b) Select the task information searching by SCH_KEY, for example (I have to do more tests)
SELECT
sch.sch_key, sch.sch_status, sch.sch_note, mil.mil_key, rsc.rsc_data, rsc.rsc_desc
FROM
osi, sch, mil, rsc
WHERE
mil.mil_key = osi.mil_key and
osi.sch_key = sch.sch_key and
sch.sch_key = ? and
rsc.rsc_key = osi.rsc_key
c) Load the e-mail definition template and replaces the fields
d) Sends the e-mail
With that I solved another problem: I have to send an e-mail always the assignee adds a note to the task.
Edited by: Renato.Guimaraes on 28/10/2009 08:51. How I did that

Edited by: Renato.Guimaraes on 13/11/2009 07:22 Changed the Thread SubjectHi Experts,
I want to extend my doubt a little more.
I have a requirment as below.
User will enter a range of Date say 01.06.2011 to 25.06.2011.
I need to show him data in two columns one cloumn for the entered day range and second column for prevoius month date rangei.e(01.05.2011 to 25.05.2011)
can i achive this without using Customer Exit.

What are the parameters in Call transaction method?
Hi ABAPER'S,
Please give me what are the parameters in call transaction method?
Thanks,
PrakashProcessing batch input data with CALL TRANSACTION USING is the faster of the two recommended data transfer methods. In this method, legacy data is processed inline in your data transfer program.
Syntax:
CALL TRANSACTION <tcode>
USING <bdc_tab>
MODE <mode>
UPDATE <update>
<tcode> : Transaction code
<bdc_tab> : Internal table of structure BDCDATA.
<mode> : Display mode:
A
Display all
E
Display errors only
N
No display
<update> : Update mode:
S
Synchronous
A
Asynchronous
L
Local update
A program that uses CALL TRANSACTION USING to process legacy data should execute the following steps:
Prepare a BDCDATA structure for the transaction that you wish to run.
With a CALL TRANSACTION USING statement, call the transaction and prepare the BDCDATA structure. For example:
CALL TRANSACTION 'TFCA' USING BDCDATA
MODE 'A'
UPDATE 'S'.
MESSAGES INTO MESSTAB.
IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
<Error_handling>.
ENDIF.
The MODE Parameter
You can use the MODE parameter to specify whether data transfer processing should be displayed as it happens. You can choose between three modes:
A Display all. All screens and the data that goes in them appear when you run your program.
N No display. All screens are processed invisibly, regardless of whether there are errors or not. Control returns to your program as soon as transaction processing is finished.
E Display errors only. The transaction goes into display mode as soon as an error in one of the screens is detected. You can then correct the error.
The display modes are the same as those that are available for processing batch input sessions.
The UPDATE Parameter
You use the UPDATE parameter to specify how updates produced by a transaction should be processed. You can select between these modes:
A Asynchronous updating. In this mode, the called transaction does not wait for any updates it produces to be completed. It simply passes the updates to the SAP update service. Asynchronous processing therefore usually results in faster execution of your data transfer program.
Asynchronous processing is NOT recommended for processing any larger amount of data. This is because the called transaction receives no completion message from the update module in asynchronous updating. The calling data transfer program, in turn, cannot determine whether a called transaction ended with a successful update of the database or not.
If you use asynchronous updating, then you will need to use the update management facility (Transaction SM12) to check whether updates have been terminated abnormally during session processing. Error analysis and recovery is less convenient than with synchronous updating.
S Synchronous updating. In this mode, the called transaction waits for any updates that it produces to be completed. Execution is slower than with asynchronous updating because called transactions wait for updating to be completed. However, the called transaction is able to return any update error message that occurs to your program. It is much easier for you to analyze and recover from errors.
L Local updating. If you update data locally, the update of the database will not be processed in a separate process, but in the process of the calling program. (See the ABAP keyword documentation on SET UPDATE TASK LOCAL for more information.)
The MESSAGES Parameter
The MESSAGES specification indicates that all system messages issued during a CALL TRANSACTION USING are written into the internal table <MESSTAB> . The internal table must have the structure BDCMSGCOLL .
You can record the messages issued by Transaction TFCA in table MESSTAB with the following coding:
(This example uses a flight connection that does not exist to trigger an error in the transaction.)
DATA: BEGIN OF BDCDATA OCCURS 100.
INCLUDE STRUCTURE BDCDATA.
DATA: END OF BDCDATA.
DATA: BEGIN OF MESSTAB OCCURS 10.
INCLUDE STRUCTURE BDCMSGCOLL.
DATA: END OF MESSTAB.
BDCDATA-PROGRAM = 'SAPMTFCA'.
BDCDATA-DYNPRO = '0100'.
BDCDATA-DYNBEGIN = 'X'.
APPEND BDCDATA.
CLEAR BDCDATA.
BDCDATA-FNAM = 'SFLIGHT-CARRID'.
BDCDATA-FVAL = 'XX'.
APPEND BDCDATA.
BDCDATA-FNAM = 'SFLIGHT-CONNID'.
BDCDATA-FVAL = '0400'.
APPEND BDCDATA.
CALL TRANSACTION 'TFCA' USING BDCDATA MODE 'N'
MESSAGES INTO MESSTAB.
LOOP AT MESSTAB.
WRITE: / MESSTAB-TCODE,
MESSTAB-DYNAME,
MESSTAB-DYNUMB,
MESSTAB-MSGTYP,
MESSTAB-MSGSPRA,
MESSTAB-MSGID,
MESSTAB-MSGNR.
ENDLOOP.
The following figures show the return codes from CALL TRANSACTION USING and the system fields that contain message information from the called transaction. As the return code chart shows, return codes above 1000 are reserved for data transfer. If you use the MESSAGES INTO <table> option, then you do not need to query the system fields shown below; their contents are automatically written into the message table. You can loop over the message table to write out any messages that were entered into it.
Return codes:
Value
Explanation
0
Successful
<=1000
Error in dialog program
> 1000
Batch input error
System fields:
Name:
Explanation:
SY-MSGID
Message-ID
SY-MSGTY

SY-MSGNO

Error Analysis and Restart Capability
Unlike batch input methods using sessions, CALL TRANSACTION USING processing does not provide any special handling for incorrect transactions. There is no restart capability for transactions that contain errors or produce update failures.
You can handle incorrect transactions by using update mode S (synchronous updating) and checking the return code from CALL TRANSACTION USING. If the return code is anything other than 0, then you should do the following:
write out or save the message table
use the BDCDATA table that you generated for the CALL TRANSACTION USING to generate a batch input session for the faulty transaction. You can then analyze the faulty transaction and correct the error using the tools provided in the batch input management facility. -

What are the master Data in SAP SD
Hi All,
I have a question. Even though its a naive question please bear with me.
what are the master data in SAP SD.
These are the one's i know.
1) Customer Master Data
2) Material Master Data
But what i want to know is does the following ones come under master data?
1) Price master data
2) Transporters master data(we are using transportation management)
3) Route master data
4) Customer material info records
5) Credit master data(iam using credit management)
What will be the master data for Transportation management(module), CIN(country India version), credit management & rebate processing
Thanks for your valuable time & knowledge.
Regards,
PavanHi Pavan,
Just to add some more valuable information.
<b>Organisational master data</b> : Every company is structured in a certain way. In order to work with the SAP System your company structure has to be represented in the system. This is done with the help of various organizational structures.
<b>Condition master data</b> : In sales and distribution, products are sold or sent to business partners or services are performed for them. Data about the products and services as well as about the business partners is the basis for sales processing. Sales processing with the SAP R/3 System requires that the master data has been stored in the system.
<b>Material master data</b> : In addition to sales and distribution, other departments of the company such as accounting or materials management access the master data. The material master data is stored in a specific structure in order to allow access from these different views.
<b>Document master data</b> : The processing of business transactions in sales and distribution is based on the master data. In the SAP R/3 System, business transaction are stored in the form of documents. These sales and distribution documents are structured according to certain criteria so that all necessary information in the document is stored in a systematic way.
<b>Customer Master Data</b> : or for that matter various business partners, we maintain data for them also called as the customer master data or vendor master data like that.

When you are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC6
Nothing major, follow the same process you'd follow if you were updating PI service packs in R/3 or enhancing data sources. Empty queues in RSA7 and lbwq. Also empty setup tables through lbwg as the upgrade doesn't like it if these tables contain data. This is all on the R/3 side (although you empty RSA7 by running each delta TWICE in BW).
To transfer queues from lbwq to rsa7, execute jobs through LO cockpit (lbwe).
Some of your data sources could also be using sm13 instead of lbwq, so do check it out as well.
For installing ECC 6.0 you required a solution manager key. With out solution manager key you cannot install ECC6.0.
For ECC 6.0 is called net weaver component here you have ABAP+JAVA stack.
ECC6.0 supports UNCODE.
For installing 4.6 you don't require solution manager key. It only having ABAP stack.
4.6C supports NONUNICODE.
Major difference is ECC6 is netwear product having WASJAVA+ABAP
