Searching for addresses in Bcc field

When I do a search for recipients of my emails (i.e., when I search, then click on the "To" field), recipients of "To" and "Cc" emails show up but not recipients of Bcc emails. Is there anything I can do to have Bcc emails show up when I do a search?

I cant figure out how to go about doing the IMT search with a BLOB in a step-by-step manner or refer me to some notes (a URL) on the net. i cant get examples anywhere about this. I have done this with CLOBs though.

use Inso_filter to index the BLOB, this should work.
With Inso filtering it is possible to index special Formats like PDF, DOC, HTML, XLS ...

Is there a way to Search (List search) for more then one field text from a column for Bulk uploading?

I've been trying to find more information on this and I apologies if this has already been answered. I just don't know the correct way to ask this. We have a SharePoint List at the company that we have people input information into different columns. The
problem is most of those information are very repetitive. Is there a way for me to search more then one field text in the column and just input that same information in?
ex:
Column 1
Column 2
Date:
883851
MidWest
User input
8831518
MidWest
User input
On the search field in the SharePoint List, I would need to search for 883851, 8831518 etc, would view those requested numbers, then I would click edit and change dates to those rows. Does that make sense? I'm sorry I'm fairly new at sharepoint.

I think what you're asking is about having repetitive options in a list, show up easily for new items being created.
This can be done by setting the columns that contain repetitive information to Choice fields. In the configuration of the Choice field, check the box for "Allow custom values". Now as users are entering data into the list, the dropdown of options
for a given field grows and users can quickly see and select previously entered and thus repetitive values for the given fields.

Spotlight search for Address Book contact results in import query?

This bug is happening frequently lately, wheby I perform a Spotlight seach for a contact that is in my Address Book, and then when I select the contact in the search results, Address Book is selected and the app asks me "Are you sure you want to import 1 card?"
Anybody ever see this problem or how to resolve it?

Peter, that is not a solution -- try selecting the same contact again from spotlight and you'll get the same "Import" dialog box, asking you what you want to do.
The expected behavior from Address Book is to open the existing contact.
No other application does this from Spotlight that I'm aware of, and after 7 years of OS X, this is still very, very annoying.
I wish there were a fix -- I'm activley looking and will report back.

Pre-Set email address in BCC field

I am considering posting all incoming (received) email messages to my account in Salesforce.com.
To do so, I must enter the Salesforce special return address every time I sent an outgoing message.
Rather than do this manually, is there a way to automatically enter this particular address so that it always appears in the BCC field every time I send a message?

There is a group of apple scripts available known as "Mail Scripts 2.10" that has as one of the scripts a thing called "Filter Sent Messages (Mail)." From the webpage, it states that this script is "Another faceless scripts which will apply your rules to the messages in the "Sent" mailbox." I've not personally used it so I'm not familiar with it, but this may be of interest to you. If it works as advertised, then maybe you could develop a rule in Mail's preferences to apply to your sent mail folder (as opposed to just the inbox folder) to do what you need.

Search for a big varchar2 field that contains specific string

I've created a table with VARCHAR2 column and size of 4000 and a CONTEXT index for it. I use this SQL statement to search for a field that contains a specific word:

FROM my_table

this goes so well in SQL plus, so how can I implement this in my form?

I installed forms 10g R2 ,besides I corrected a fault in the LOOP syntax.Thanks, The code now is correct with the function CONTAINS. but when I run my form and push the button, my form takes lots of time and return two errors:
frm-41839 "Disc I/O error on temporary record buffer file%s".
and frm-40900 "Unable to locate record buffer. Clear form to continue".
the second error occurs due to memory low space I think.

You are totally right with the function INSTR, but I use the function CONTAINS as it has large capabilities in my search. I even use CTXCAT index instead of CONTEXT index ,with function CATSEARCH but the problem still exists. All of the previous ways run better in SQL but not in forms(without cursor). Suppose I'm wrong with this technique. Is there another way to make such a search?!

Search for address or notes in contacts

Dear BlackBerry users,
did anybody find any way to search for notes and addresses in contacts, please? I.e., I want to filter contacts living in a certain city or street or having a certain text in the note. That is not possible using Z10STL100-2/10.2.1.2141.

You are right. I asked Rogers to ask blackberry why the universal search Feature doesn't search in contact notes. BlackBerry 's answer was that they don't by design.
And do they plan on fixing this problem. The answer from Rogers is no

No offline search for address in nokia

Hello
I just loaded nokia maps 3.01 for nokia with upgraded firmware to 2.0 version (sic!) and i see that offline search for addres allways find no results. Is that becouse this tricky way of map load with out map loader? Or something may be wrong?

Maps are rather large and downloded by maps loader and are in a large folder named Cities .
In reply to another user admitidly with 5800xm i have jus carried out the full maps update starting from scratch on an out of the box phone .

Seeing sent e-mail addresses in BCC fields

Does anyone know how to set up mac Mail to allow me to see who I have bcc'd if I go into my sent box?
All of my other mail programs let the original sender of an e-mail message see who he has bcc'd in the sent box.
Currently, if I bcc 5 people and then look at sent mail, I only see the "To" field in the sent box. This is not very helpful if one ever goes back to check an email list and realizes that all Bcc names are hidden and not shown in the sent box.

Use menu View/Message/Long Headers. If it is something you want to do often, consider using View/Customize Toolbar to add the Long/Normal headers toggle to your toolbar.

SAP Query: Caseless search for case-senstive dictionary field

I have a question regarding the select options in a sap query. here is the scenario:
I have a SAP query + infoset. in the selection sreen I have a field from the type MAKTX. this field is a character field that allows upper and lower case. I have the problem that my users provide an input only in lower case e.g. "bottle" and only find the results where bottle is only in lower case. Results with the word "Bottle" they cannot find.
I am pretty familiar with abap and programing the code to achiev this is not the problem. I just don't know how I can bring my coding and the sap query together. I had 2 ideas:
a) I make a z-search help and attach it to my select-option in the selection screen. but I don't know if this is possible and where I do that
b) I put my code into the code-enhancement section in the infoset. but again I am not sure where I have to put it and if there are any restrictions that I have to know....
c) any other solution will be good as well... maybe somebody has an idea.
I hope I could make my problem clear. please let me know if you have any idea how I can do that. I don't want to modify the data dictionary object!!.

Use MAKTG instead, in the selection screen. It's has the same value as MAKTX but it's not case sensitive.

Searching for values of authorization fields

Is there a way to see the transaction codes or programs that makes use of a specific value of an authorization field?
Example: K_PRICE001 has the following authorization fields.
               BUKRS - Company Code
               WERKS - Plant
               CWPRICLABL - Price Type
               ACTVT - Activity
The permitted activities are "02" (Change) and "03" (Display).
Can I find programs/transaction codes that use "02" only? or "03" only? or "*" for all?

Someone already did that and left all the information behind in the system for you - both check indicators (the capability of the transaction to control something) and proposals (the intended use of the transaction).
They also update it with each support package, but it is nor 100% correct not a perfect match for all your intentions. You can use authorizations to tune it if you have set it up correctly in the first place...

Mail crashing when adding addresses to BCC field from address panel

Problem #2 since upgrading to Snow Leopard:
if i select more than a few names in adds panel and hit the BCC button to add them to the email i am about to send the App just quites. Is this what Apple refers to as a refined, finely tuned upgrade? I just wasted $30 on a finely crafted turd! Now i've got to dig up that old leopard DVD and restore back to 10.5.8. I hope i can find it b'cuz this is NOT working for me.

No Plaxo installed -- stock install and apps, nothing fancy or 3rd party, per se.
I crash Mail MANY times a day, because of this bug -- am considering downgrading to Leopard, as I rely on Mail to function without crashing, and without the resulting annoyance and hassle.

Search for certain Characters within set of Characters - in a field

I know a search can be made within a field for a word, but I am not to sure, or I don't know how to accomplish this...To do a search in a field for certain characters within a larger set of charcters.
For example: I would search, in the Call Description field, for DXXXX within CA0001DXXXXYYY or search for LXXXX within CA0001LXXXXYYY, the X is numeric characters and the Y's are Alpha characters. Can crystal accomplish this....

cannot be used in a Record Selection formula.
The following code can be used in the Record Selection formula:
Instr({database field}, "string") > 0
If you wish to search for 'D4444' in the field and return records where a match is found, you would use:

BCC field issue

I am unable to retrieve the BCC address.
In the code below found3 is the message array that has all BCC addressed messages. but, when I try to retrieve Address array using either getRecipients(Message.RecipientType.BCC)
or getAllRecipients(), it gives me an empty array.

Otherwise, when can this statement be used?

Which transaction in SPRO allows me to set the default value for «Adress group» ?

The MM Super user realized during a traning with a new employee that this user did not had the default address group ME01 while trying to enter a delivery address in the Purchase Order. So when this user searches for a delivery address, he has to to through ALL the delivery addresses, and not only the adresses included in address group ME01. (This can lead to delivery problems if the user doe snot enter the right address)
We have SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.7, with SP: SAPKB62065 (Basis), SAPKA62065 (Cross-application), SAPKH47031 (Logistics and accounting), SAPKE47087 (HR).

How can I search the BCC field of my sent mails?

Does anybody know how it is possible to convince mail.app (mail.app 4.6 under OSX 10.6.8 , in my case) to perform a search within the bcc. field of sent emails?

I am running Thunderbird v 24.2.0 under Bodhi Linux (Ubuntu derivative).
I click on the Address Book button to open my address book.
Then I click Edit > Search Addresses.
This opens a detailed dialog box called Advanced Address Book Search.
First, I can choose which address book(s) to search.
Then I can use a drop-down menu to choose various fields and search criteria, to build a regular expression for searching. It is actually quite comprehensive.
The only problem for me is: Most of my key words are located in the "Other" field, which is not included in the drop-down list. Very frustrating. The information is there, but it cannot be accessed with this tool. (At least, I have not figured out how to do so.)
