  • Typing in LOV 'find' and narrow down the list by second column

    Hi,
    Does anybody know how to narrow down the LOV list by 'Find' to let system look up the second column instead of the the first one?

    Hi,
    I think there is no way in forms to do this, coz The "find in LOV" is applicable only for the first lov column.
    There is a workaround: Try to bild a queryeable multi-block pop up module which could be invoked when you enter the lov field.
    Hope that helps,

  • Select-String to search only first column in .CSV

    Hello all,
    I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to only search the first column of a .CSV file using Select-String. I guess I could probably import-csv and pipe the first column to select-string, but I was wondering if Select-string has this capability within itself?

    Yes, a "large file that I only need a few lines from" is more the issue. And I was also just curious if Select-String had such functionality. For the file I am reading, it has over 23,000 lines (13MB), and there is a significant
    performance increase with using select-string (over %4000 increase) :
    Using Import-CSV and Where-Object: around 5.938 seconds
    Using Select-String: around 0.138 seconds
    Thus, if I have several strings that I want to search the file for, I would prefer to use Select-String. I suppose I could just do the following?
    1. Use Select-string to search the file for each string I need to search for
    2. Once I'm done searching for all strings, I can query the resultant data set to be sure the string is in the first column of each record in the dataset
    3. If the string is not in the first column in the resultant data set, I can just remove the record.
    Am I way off base here?

  • Multiple columns in LOV

    I would like to display two columns when displaying a pop up LOV. First column will be the actual code (i.e. O) and the second column will be the description (i.e Open). I have changed the font to monospace and padded the first field so that the result looks like to two columns. However, if not all codes have the same number of characters I still need to pad using something other than blank. I am now using '.' and the result looks like:
    O...... Open
    C...... Closed
    which is OK, but it will be great to simply use tabs. Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

    Well, you didn't say this in your first post. Despite of that you can do something similar
    to reach the same lenght for all values:
    SQL> set pagesize 200
    SQL> SELECT RPAD (ename, 12, '*') ename
      2  FROM emp;
    ENAME
    KING********
    BLAKE*******
    CLARK*******
    JONES*******
    SCOTT*******
    FORD********
    SMITH*******
    WARD********
    MARTIN******
    TURNER******
    JAMES*******
    MILLER******
    12 Zeilen ausgewählt.Instead of stars, you can use blankspace.
    This is a pretty trivial solution.

  • I also have a .csv file with the name of a jpeg in one column and a text description of each jpeg in a second column. Is there a way to automatically insert one jpeg (photo) and its corresponding text, each pair on one page, into a Indesign document?

    I would also recommend to write the description into the meta data. This would allow to place a text frame above the image and it is possible to add meta information and file name automatically together with the image, when you place it or even in a prepared template.
    Meta data information can be written easily in Bridge in the Meta File Workspace.

  • How to search a perticular column in a schema

    Hi All,
    Hope everyone doing good..!
    I need small help on Oracle please..
    I have schema called "IMGMIC" in the database and I have one column named "GELOC" in that.
    Now the problem is like how do i find out that column is exists(belongs to) in which table of that schema.
    I know only the column name & schema name name,but dont know from which table that column is.
    I wanted to check that column is belogs to which table.
    Please help the best way of searching of the column in detail...
    As i am getting this doubt no.of times....
    Thanks in ADV.
    mkr

    You can try one of these, depending on your privileges:
    select * from dba_tab_columns where owner = 'IMGMIC' and column_name = 'GELOC';
    select * from all_tab_columns where owner = 'IMGMIC' and column_name = 'GELOC';
    or connect as IMGMIC and:
    select * from user_tab_columns where column_name = 'GELOC';

  • Deleting data from a 2D array based on the id of the second column

    Hello
    I hope someone can help me. I have come across a hurdle in the programming of my application.
    1.
    I have a 2D array, the first column of this array contains my data and the second column contains an id, which is either 0 or 1.
    I have sorted this 2D array based on the id column so that the data corresponding to the 0’s is on top part of the array and the data corresponding to the 1’s follows it (on the bottom of the array).
    I want to delete that data (rows) of this sorted array that correspond to the 1’s and keep only the data (rows) that correspond to the 0’s.
    So I would end up with a new 2D array that has only the data that I want on the first column and 0’s on the second column.
    I have hundreds of these 2D arrays resulting from my program (using a for loop) hence I want to automate this procedure. The length of the selected data arrays will vary.
    2.
    Once I can do this I will want to remove the id column (with the 0’s) from the 2D array and would like to build a new array with only the data from the first column (which may be of different length).
    So I want to end up with a 2D array with columns corresponding to the selected (1st column) data from the (original) 2D arrays. These data may be of different lengths so when building this new array I may need to do some padding. Will labview do this automatically?
    I hope that this is clear.
    Best wishes,

    Attached is a different approach - you don't need to do any sorting.
    The outer FOR loop assumes you have all the arrays available at once. If you are reading a file, modify it accordingly.
    You may or may not want the TRANSPOSE function on the final results, depending on what you want to do with it.
    Yes, when you assemble N-dimensional arrays into (N+1)-dimensional arrays, LabVIEW automatically pads for you.
    Enjoy.

  • How do I include the radio-button items on a second column as possible answers to the question?

    Using Adobe Acrobat Pro X, we created a fillable PDF from an existing PDF.
    One question can be answered by choosing one of four choices (radio buttons). The answers are laid out in a 2-by-2 arrangement.
    When Acrobat Pro converted the PDF into fillable format, it thought that the radio-button answers on the second column are not part of the question.
    How can I manually override Acrobat and make choices 3 and 4 part of the question.
    Please click attached screenshot for better zoom.

    George,
    i am the OP. I mistyped my email address and cannot log in to my original account.
    Thanks for your reply.
    How do I give each radio button the same name but unique button values?
    I right-clicked the first radio button, chose Properties (Ctrl+I).
    I copied the name: "What is your personal net worth in Canadian dollars including spousecommon law partner if applicable".
    I clicked Close.
    I then went into the Properties dialog window of the third radio button, which is one of the ungrouped choices. I pasted the name [What is your personal net worth in Canadian dollars including spousecommon law partner if applicable]. I then clicked Close.
    I get an error message pop up:
    A field of a different type already uses this name. Please choose a new name for the field, or change the field type to match the existing field with this name.
    What must I do now?
    Thanks.

  • How can we fix images and String in a perticular row's second column in JTa

    I have to design a window in which there is a table I have to set the some row's second column data with images and text data both and some row contan only text data Please help me on it .There is two column and 5 row in my table.
    Thanks in advance,

    [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html#editrender]Using Editors and Renderers
    You will need to create a custom renderer to display both an image and text. Renderers are assigned to a column. If you require different renderers for a given row in a column then you will need to override the getCellRenderer(...) method to return a renderer for the specific row.

  • How to import from CSV file into INTERVAL DAY TO SECOND column?

    Hello,
    I need to import data from a csv file that has a column that stores time-intervals (e.g. 2:06:02 Hours:Minutes:Seconds) into a table column INTERVAL DAY TO SECOND.
    Does any of you know what format I should apply?
    I tried HH:MI:SS but it didn't work.
    Any suggestion is welcomed (including changing the column type to something else that might hold time-intervals in it....).
    Thanks,
    Andrei

    Andrei,
    There is no native support for the INTERVAL datatype in the Text loading facilities of Application Express.
    To work around this known limitation, I suggest either creating a temporary table or a shadow column in your existing table. You could then upload your data for the interval as a VARCHAR2 and then use SQL to convert to an appropriate interval value.
    For example:
    1) Create a table with:
    create table foo (id number primary key, i interval day to second, shadowi varchar2(4000) )2) Using your sample data set, load this data into table FOO, loading the second column of this data into column SHADOWI
    1     01:06:02
    2     02:06:02
    3     03:01:013) Issue the following SQL to convert the value in your shadow interval column to your actual interval column
    update foo set i = to_dsinterval( '0 ' || shadowi )Note that you'll need to prepend the '0' to formulate a valid interval literal value.

    Hi Subramaniam,
    If your requirement is to call a Database function then please make use of the below code ,
    import java.sql.CallableStatement;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.server.OADBTransactionImpl;
    OAApplicationModule oaapplicationmodule = oapagecontext.getApplicationModule(oawebbean);
    OADBTransactionImpl txn = (OADBTransactionImpl)oaapplicationmodule.getOADBTransaction();
    CallableStatement cs = txn.createCallableStatement ("begin :1 := xxpackageName.xxfunctionname(:2,:3); end;",-1);//Replace your function Name
    try
    cs.registerOutParameter(1, Types.VARCHAR);
    cs.setString(2,InputParam1); // InputParam1 is the name of variable captured from the OAF page and passed into function as input parameter
    cs.setString(3,InputParam2); //InputParam2 is the name of variable captured from the OAF page and passed into function as input parameter

  • Search for a column in schema

    Hi ,
    Is there a way to search for a column exist in tables of particular schema ?
    thanks in advance

    You need to clarify "exists". Do you mean exists regardless if you have acces to it or "exists" means you have access to it? For the former use:
    SELECT  OWNER.TABLE_NAME
      FROM  DBA_TAB_COLUMNS
      WHERE OWNER = '<schema name>'
        AND COLUMN_NAME = '<column_name>'
    /For latter use ALL_TAB_COLUMNS instead as it was suggested by others.

  • SEARCH item in MULTI-SELECT LOV (Hierachical Tree)

    I have created a multi-select LOV using a hierarchical tree; providing the query for the tree in the Functional/Data Query property.
    The Multi-Select LOV works fine. As you would suspect some LOV's have long lists that one must scroll through.
    I would like to implement a SEARCH field (as seen in Forms standard LOV functionality) that will search through my Tree Node values and highlight the item searched (again as the standard LOV functionality works). Thus, allowing the user to quickly find the values in the list.
    How do I go about referencing the Tree Node values to the value in the search (field) item?

    Hello,
    Search, through the FTree package's functions, those that allows to navigate through the leaves.

  • Return to more than columns from LOV

    I need return to more than columns from LOV. All columns belong to one form region
    Please helpl me
    Mary

    Hi Mary,
    Do you mean you need to return more than 3? If so then in the link area change the Target to URL and do something like the following:
    f?p=&APP_ID.:7:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.::P7_UNIQUE_ROWID,P7_OET_TBL_NM:#UNIQUE_ROWID#,#OET_TBL_NM#Items on left separated by commas, values on right separated by commas and a colon (:) in the middle...make sure the items & values are placed in the same order.
