"Second Side" duplexing with a duplex-capable scanner

Is there a way in Acrobat X to scan the 'front sides" of a stack of documents in the scanner's document feeder - and then scan the stack's second side and have Acrobat 'collate' the two sets of scans? The reason for this is that some scanner document feeders have problems mechanically 'flipping' to the second side if the document has previously was folded or otherwise 'damaged' but can handle the documents quite well as 'single-sided' documents.
Basically what I'm trying to figure out is how to trigger the "Scan a second side" dialog option in Acrobat X after scanning the front-side of a stack of documents. If duplex scanning is setup in the Scanner Option dialog box, Acrobat X will request mechanical duplex scanning from the scanner while the "Front side" option will scan the 'front sides' but never offer the "Scan a second side" option after scanning the stack as did Acrobat 9.

My files are vertical (portrait) layout/setting with the two sided option on long-edge binding. Scanning Negatives with OpticFilm 7600i negative scanner

Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to scan directly into PSE 10 with my negative scanner. Maybe a plug-in? I know it's unlikely that there's something to convert the image to positive etc but I'd rather spend time doing that than use the bundled software with the scanner (SilverFast). However, currently Get From Scanner gives me "Film Scanner" which either previews and scans black negs or doesn't work at all without Silverfast installed. Seems the only way to set it up as a TWAIN scanner (yep, got TWAIN plug-in) is to use a seperate piece of software like silverfast which is then launched to get the scan. Got correct and up-to-date drivers properly installed. Any one got any ideas? Thanks!

I have a Wolverine unit with similar (?) capability.
My workflow is to scan to the camera card in the unit, upload from card to a folder on the desktop, then enhance in Elements.
So, the question is: After you have processed in Silverfast, can you point to a folder on the desktop for saving?
Another thing, there is a tech note from Adobe that TWAIN is not installed in PSEv.10. You may want to review this to be sure that it is installed in the right place on your system if you want to scan directly into PSEv.10

Dynamic Actions with Multiple Actions Capability
How can I get Dynamic Actions to work on Actions that are stored solely on IT0302 due to the multiple relationship to a previous Action that is stored on both IT0302 and IT0000?
When multiple actions on a given day are executed, the dynamic action from the first action entered is executed twice - when it should only execute the first time with the second actions dynamic action triggering the second time.

When there are multiple actions with the same effective date the wrong dynamic action is triggered. For example, if I have an Expat Return To Home action followed by an Internal Move action with the same effective date the below events occur:
1. IT0001 is updated due to Expat Return to Home - triggering the Dynamic Action off of IT0000 which is Expat Return to Home (Correct)
- Action is stored on IT0000 and IT0302
2. IT0001 is updated due to Internal Move - triggering the Dynamic Action off of IT0000 which is Expat Return to Home (Incorrect - background processing creates data not needed)
- Action is stored only on IT0302
Question:
How can we leverage Multiple Actions with the same effective date while continuing to use Dynamic Actions?

Second side not connected

Hello
When I disconnect my 3G modem my NTFS partition is not available. When i try mount it XFCE (or nautilus) say that second side is connected.
I use network manager for network mangement.
Partitions is in /etc/fstab. Remount not help.
Please help.

Problem in creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePD

I need a favor I am creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePDF for a web based application. Images have been generated on that pdf but it is creating problem for large size images as half of the image disappeared from that pdf.I am taking the image inside a canvas . How do i control my images so that they come fit on that pdf file for any image size that i take.

I am having a similar and more serious problem. It takes a
long time to execute, but even attaching a small image balloons the
pdf to 6MB plus. After a few images it gets up to 20MB. These are
100k jpeg files being attached. The resulting PDF is too large to
email or process effectively. Does anyone know how to reduce

How to generate a second csv file with different report columns selected?
The first csv file is easy (report attributes -> report export -> enable CSV output Yes). However, our users demand 2 csv files with different report columns selected to meet their different needs.
(The users don't want to have one csv file with all report columns included. They just want to get whatever they need directly, no extra columns)

I'm doing it usually. Typically example would be in the report only the column "FIRST_NAME" and "LAST_NAME" displayed whereas
in the csv exported with the UTL_FILE the complete address (street, housenumber, additions, zip, town, state ... ) is written, these things are needed e.g. the form letters.
You do not need another page, just an additional button named e.g. "export_to_csv" on your report page.
The csv export itself is handled from a plsql procedure "stored procedure" ( I like to have business logic outside of apex) which is invoked by pressing the button "export_to_csv". Of course the stored procedure can handle also parameters
An example code would be something like

Why SIDs start with 2 in master data S Tables?

Hello All,
When we create infoobjects, S table(/BIC/S...) is created to store SIDs and respective values.
However, these SIDs start with 2 and not 1.
Please, can anyone tell what is reason for this.

SOLVED!!!!!
SO I did some more digging around and read ATI cards seem to overheat easily. I knew the fan was working, but after closer inspection I realised there was ALOT of built up dust on the card and clogging the fan and airflow. Blew it out with alot of compressed air, stuck it back in the Mac and BAM...no black screens. I tested it by streaming 6 video sources...doing 2 screen captures at once as well as watching a HD movie in fullscreen. Did all this for 30 minutes and no crashes. I also downloaded an app to monitor the temps inside the computer and the expansion bay stays at 41 degrees. No clue what it was before but obviously it was hotter than that. So my problem is solved! Funny that 10.7.5 made the card work harder. I wonder if its off loading some CPU stuff to the GPU for processing more than 10.7.4 so its just working a bit harder and so it heats up faster....

Loading in a second Actions panel with the same functionality as the first, but independent from it

The actions panel is perfect at what it does; however, if you have a few action sets and, in order to eliminate scrolling, you need to expand them into a double row of buttons, it quickly becomes difficult to maintain. As soon as you delete an action or add an action to it, it disorders the others and you have to reorganize again, which becomes a vicious cycle. I like to keep things organised and neat with all that I do and pretty much the only way to have this feature is to expand it on the back end of the software or, if possible, create a script that loads a second Actions panel with the same functionality as the first but completely independent from it. I assume that the SDK will not allow us to expand on the software in this particular way, as Photoshop is not open source; however, maybe this suggestion will be taken into account for future updates or versions since I have yet to find a suitable way to do this.

That would depend on the links on the page. Some pages have links that refer to different areas on the same page. If you want to force a link to open in a new tab, you can middle-click it.

How Can I Restart Two-Sided Printing On the Second Side?

I printed a PDF document in two-sided mode. I apparently waited too long after printing the first side because when I clicked on "Continue", nothing happened and the printer just said "Ready". How can I restart this print job so that only the second side of each sheet is printed?

Asssuming you are using Adobe reader you would go to "Print Range" and in the "subset" box select to only print the even (or odd, depending on which have already printed) pages . You may or may not need to check the "reverse pages" box depending on which page is on top in the paper tray - if it is the first of second page then do not reverse pages.
