Secure the ADF pages in portlet via ADF portlet bridge
Hi All
My project is using the ADF security model to do the authentication and authorization and the project can be deploy to weblogic and works fine.
Currently i want o extend the pages and taskflows to WebCenter portlet client via the ADF portlet bridge. How can i implement the security policy
to reuse the existing code? i have no idea how the portlet client interactively work with producer to do the authentication.
appreciated if anyone can give a hand on this or show some examples.
Could you tell me how you were able to combine an adf-table bound to BC with a portlet in the same page? I'm getting a 'portlet unavailable exception' when I try to customize my RichTextPortlet?
If I run the portlet on it's own in a jspx-document everything runs just fine, but from the moment you add an adf-component the portlet is unavailable?

A new tab opened up on my tool bar labeled Mozilla Security. The website looks like your security warning. But the security button is gray, McAfee doesn't recognize the site, and the web address does not contain Mozilla.com. The web address of this pop up page is: http://update89.modyett.co.be/index.php?Q57hGtS5bW5G7Hr+M0lEZy4rE7T40TcfocDyRAcjpCPVLS/PhAEpv1Hgq9vgx1qxsLunLyiXHnwwL5T3qX/CE0Q/ZRXJp+2mKYsC+kRq
Do I have a virus, as it states, or is this uninvited web page trying to install a virus? What should I do?Just because it said Mozilla Security in the title bar does not mean it is from Mozilla as Mozilla nor the Firefox browser has ever done such a thing.
This sounds like one of those fake animated scanners which claims it is scanning your computer and then says you are infected with such and such. It then suggests to download something that will be what really infects your computer if using Windows. As long as you did not download and install this whatever.exe then you should be safe. Though you may want to scan your computer with whatever antivirus software you have with updated definitions just to be safer.
This sort of thing is even more obvious on being fake when Linux and Mac users can encounter these pages. -
JDeveloper 11.1.2.3, ADF Faces, JQuery Integration via ADF Library
I cannot seem to get a consuming application to execute jquery's ready() function defined within a adflib application. Here is my setup
directory structure of where my javascript files are:
CommonApp
-ViewController
--public_html
---resources
----js
-----jquery-1.6.2.min.js
-----acme.js
The above structure created by default by jdev when creating a new javascript file. Now the test code (also within CommonApp) which works looks like the following:
test.jsf
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<f:view xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich">
<af:document title="test.jsf" id="d1">
<af:group id="g1">
<af:resource type="javascript" source="/resources/js/jquery-1.6.2.min.js"/>
<af:resource type="javascript" source="/resources/js/acme.js"/>
</af:group>
<af:form id="f1">
</af:form>
</af:document>
</f:view>Contents of acme.js
$(document).ready(function () {
// do jQuery
alert('jquery ready called')
});OK so far so good, test.jsf runs and an alert dialog pops up. Moving on... CommonApp is deployed as an ADF Library and consumed by a ChildApp.
There is a single .jsf file within the ChildApp and the code is exactly identical to the above test.jsf. Upon runtime there is no alert dialog! What am I missing?A bit more fiddling around:
I have added the following code to acme.js
function test() {
alert('test');
}redeployed the adflib
Within my ChildApp I have added the following code to test.jsf:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<f:view xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich">
<af:document title="test.jsf" id="d1">
<af:group id="g1">
<af:resource type="javascript" source="/resources/js/jquery-1.6.2.min.js"/>
<af:resource type="javascript" source="/resources/js/acme.js"/>
</af:group>
<af:form id="f1">
<af:commandButton text="commandButton 1" id="cb1">
<af:clientListener method="test" type="click"/>
</af:commandButton>
</af:form>
</af:document>When the code is ran, I clicked the button and the alert dialog is invoked.

Hi guys,
Currently I am using default adf security.is there any way to use same security on my login jspx page.
Thanks,
Raulhi user,
i hope that you are looking for
http://www.fireboxtraining.com/blog/2012/02/09/oracle-adf-11g-authentication-using-custom-adf-login-form/
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26098_01/web.1112/e16182/adding_security.htm
please see the if you want custom login.
Figure 35-3 Using the Configure ADF Security Wizard to Generate a Simple Login Page
there is lot of youtube videos. just google it out.
this is to timo:
What do you mean by '...I am using default adf security...'
if i am understood correctly. while creating new fusion web apps while configuring adf-security HTTP Basic Authentication is comes as default option. he mentioning in that way.
do You want to secure the login page itself? This doesn't make sense as you need to login to get to the login page.
i hope he is not asking like as you mentioned.
from my experience i will interpret like this
"Currently I am using default adf security".
he is currently using default adf security(HTTP Basic Authentication).
is there any way to use same security on my login jspx page.
he need use the same adf-security concept on custom login page.

Portlets with ADF faces does not work
Hello
I am trying to portlize an hello world ADF application but am unable to do so because of the situation describe below. I have tried all the options given on this post but nothing seems to resolve the issue.
I have followed the instructions of portelizing at http://download-east.oracle.com/otndocs/tech/webcenter/files/owcs_10132_bridge_viewlet.html
A simple portlets without AFD works fine in oc4h or webcenter or jboss, but when I include ADF in the project then none of the application server or the container works
I am using jdeveloper 10.1.3.2.0 and the embedded webcenter oc4j for this test
I have two projects
1) ui where the ADF appplication is and
2) test1 where the producer is registered and is tested
In ui I have a simple jsp page untitled1.jsp with just one adf component (ADF Command Link)
Here is the source of untitled1.jsp

VijayHello dvohra,
Thanks for the reply but I have done everything before I posted my message on this forum
1. Is the Portlet Faces Bridge library in the project libraries?
yes in both test1 project and ui project. ui project is where the ADF application is and test1 is where the producer is registered
2. I sent the web.xml earlier in the forum. Yes it include the tags
here is it again

3. Yes it include that tag also. Please see the web.xml I pasted above
4. Yes I deployed it as the simple WAR file and NEVER as a WebCenter Application WAR
I am assuming that when you refer to web.xml you refer to the one in my ui project where the ADF application is . There is another web.xml file in test1 project where I try to test the portlet. That web.xml is also pasted in my earlier blog
Any other idea ?
thanks a lot
Vijay

Once I upgrades to Mavericks, I first had trouble viewing my old documents saved in iCloud. Apple Support phone call solved this. Now I notice I cannot share any of my documents/pages via email. It never gets past the "next" page for sharing via email. Anyone with same problem?
I actually have the same problem, since I upgraded to Mavericks my MacBook Pro can't seem to find the Bose sounddock 10. Has anyone found a solution to this.
It still works with the iPhone 5

Implementing Security For ADF Pages when integrated with Oracle APPS
Hi,
Can anyone please let me know the solution to the below problem ?
I have an ADF application that is deployed on a weblogic server. An URL is generated to access the ADF Pages.
I have created one more simple jsp (Launch.jsp) which redirects to this URL on page load.
I am using Oracle APPS where:
->I registered a form function referring to Launch.jsp
->I am referring form function in a responsibility , attaching that to a menu
->When the valid oracle user logs in, I am sending all oracle apps environment variables (User id , Responsibility id, application id ) for that session
What my issue is :
->The URL along with the parameters that I am sending from the Launch.jsp to the ADF Page is visible to the user. So, even if the Oracle APPS user has not logged in, anybody who knows the URL can access the ADF Pages.
->So, Is there any way to implement the security so as, even if anyone knows the URL of the ADF Page cannot access the ADF Pages without the valid user being logged-in through the Oracle APPS.
I am using Jdeveloper 11g.
Please let me know if you need anymore details.
Thanks in advance,
KavithaPlease help me out if anyone has a solution to this problem.
Thanks,

ADF EBS Integration - How to open the ADF page in new tab or window
Hi,
We are building ADF custom applications and want to integrate them with EBS R12 (12.1.3) through Responsibilities and Menus.
We have achieved session sharing and launching the Custom ADF app from EBS menu. The problem is, the Custom ADF page opens in the same page.
Is there anyway to open the ADF application in new tab or window while launching from EBS Menu ?
Highly appreciate your help on this.
Thanks,

Horizontal scroll bar for each page of the ADF page???
Hi Everyone,
I have developed one ADF page which is working very fine.
The width and height of the page is more by which it is showing vertical scroll bar and horzontal scroll bar at the end(bottom) of the page.
But the requirement is that the horzontal scroll bar should be displayed for every page when we scroll down but it is displaying at only bottom of the page.
How can i include horizontal scroll bar?
Any suggestions wil be really useful.
Thanks.See if this works:

<af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl2" layout="scroll">

How can integrate/call the Oracle Forms in ADF pages or task flow.
Hi ,
I Have requirement to integrate the ADF and EBS.
I have done the ADF pages calling in ESB.
Right now i am struck up to call the OAF froms in ADF page/taskflow.
it's high appriciate if any one provide me the any info or how to do this requriment.
Thanks,
Madhava.Hi,
Forms integration can happen using af:inlineFrame or by a redirect to a Forms web URL. In the latter case navigation should be from an unbounded task flow ensuring the return address required to resume the ADF application is provided. See: https://blogs.oracle.com/jdevotnharvest/entry/how_to_efficiently_redirect_an for how to construct the return URL
