Secure the JAX-RPC United Loan Web Service with WS-Security source file not

After some research I found that:
1. on geronimo 2.1 you can only use basic authentication for webservices
2. advanced security requires the use of axis2

  • SJSAS 8.2 secure and unsecure methods in one web service with ws-security

    Hi
    I'm trying to deploy a web-service (using SJSAS 8.2) using JAXRPC using message security (at the application level).
    I have one simple question:
    I have an EJB that exposes 2 methods as web-services, I specified in the sun-ejb-jar.xml that one of those methods is secure (and said nothing about the other) however when i run my test client I get a "WSS0202: No wsse:Security element in the message" error for both calls (instead of only for the secure call).
    Is this normal? Isn't it possible to have a normal (with no security headers) call to one method and another (with security headers and secure envelope) to another in the same webservice (from the same EJB)?.

    I wasn't clear?
    This is a big dev problem for a major Sun client.
    No one knows or wants to answer?

  • JAX-WS PL/SQL  Web Service with JDeveloper (Weblogic problem)

    Hello,
    does anyone know how to create a JAX-WS webservice based on a pl-sql package using JDeveloper? Maybe it is possible with a newer version of JDeveloper 11.1.2.3, currently I'm using 11.1.1.6 which only offers a JAX-RPC for PlSql Web services.
    I'm facing a problem right now trying to deploy an jax-rpc web service on Weblogic 10.3.4. Actually it seems to be an WebLogic problem because weblogic doesn't support the older standard (JAX-RPC). So I've extended the weblogic domain using Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard like described for example here . Unfortunately it doesn't help. Deploying my applicaiton on a forms11g (11.1.1.4) domain (which goes hand in hand with the weblogic domain (?)) is successful. But anyway I can't call the WSDL or test the web service using weblogic console. Other services (jax-ws) work without any problem on the same forms domain.
    I would appreciate any hint, how to automatically produce an jax-ws web service from an plsql package or how to run a jax-rpc web service on weblogic 10.3.4. It's Weblogic Basic Server actually, but I'm of the opinion it doesn't play a role in my case.
    Thank you in advance for your hints.
    Kind regards,
    Anton
    Edit: I would appreciate any hint how to check if a weblogic domain supports jax-rpc (if extended correctly). Thanks.

    We can generate jaxws from 11.1.2.0 onwards using This is now provided by the TopLink web service provider builder, which can be via the TopLink DBWS provider wizard from JDeveloper since the 11.1.2.0.0 release

  • Web Services with https Security without PI

    Hi experts,
    We wanna create Web Services in SAP CRM 7.0 without using the PI. The Requirement is, that we have to use https. I haven't found much (and no clear) Information about this isue.
    Does anybody know if it is possible to use https and can you provide information how to do so?
    Thanks and regards,
    Sebastian

    yes its possible.

  • Web Services with REST, SOAP and  JAX-RPC

    Hi,
    Can somebody who has developed web services extensively comment/suggest a java development environment that works best for developing web services mainly with REST. I've found that Eclipse with Axis2 and Tomcat works well. But I would like to get your opinion on it and some other alternatives.

    Hi,
    Please help me its urgent.
    can u give me a detail example how to do Web services
    with REST.
    Here is my id [email protected]
    Thanks in advance.You can do this in many ways. It depends on how heavy your service is. You can write a simple servlet that will take a REST (I'm assuming you know what REST is) request and parses it out, calls a server-side method and generates a REST response.
    Another way is to use a web-service container such as AXIS. You can read some examples and documentation on their website. AXIS2 has REST support as well.

  • Web service proxy on security issue

    Using jdeveloper 11g R1(11.1.1.2.0)+fusion middleware em :
    1.I protected a web service with wss policy of wss_user_name_token_service_policy then deployed to in independent WLS 10.3.2
    2.Created a web service proxy with wss policy of wss_user_name_token_client_policy with csf-key being 'demo' in a ADF web project,the proxy can be invoked by a JSF page.Then deployed this client web project in same WLS.
    3.Access the JSF page then get error:racle.wsm.common.sdk.WSMException: WSM-00015 : The user name is missing. I created the key of 'demo' with correct user name and password on EM under map of oralce.wsm.security, still throw such error.
    However, using the web service data control can works right:
    4.Created a web service data control with wss policy of wss_user_name_token_client_policy with csf-key 'being' demo2 and a wrong user name and password in the ADF web project. Then created another JSF page using the web service data control.
    5.Deployed the web project in WLS.
    6.Created the key of 'demo2' with correct user name and password in map of oracle.wsm.security on EM
    6.Access the JSF page that invokes the web service data control.
    It worked right. This is what I expected that user name and password of service client should not be specified in design time but after deployment. The client app will send correct SOAP request with auth head after creating its required key on EM.
    The question is why web service proxy can not work right even create its key on EM after deployment to WLS? Seems the policy in client does not take any effective when sending request.

    This depends on the webservice types:JAX-WS or RPC-WS.

    Thanks again Billy,
    I have configured a wallet with all the necessary certificates. Actually I have purchased a VeriSign trusted certificate and convert that into Oracle Wallet (p12) using openssl with appropriate password. And I'm calling UTL_HTTP.set_wallet('<path_to_wallet>','<pass_to_open_it>');
    I have send my public key to them (web service company) and they need me to send my certificate with every request so that they can authenticate.
    You are saying we don't have to write any code for TLS/SSL UTL_HTTP will take care of that, thats really good.
    One more thing I want to mention here...
    In Internet Explorer - When I am importing my certificate without my private key and trying to access web service I'm getting 404 page not found error.
    But when I'm importing my certificate with the private key, I can see WSDL and all other methods offered by that web service.
    I'm guessing Oracle Wallet that I'm creating with my certificate will store private key also. B'coz it is showing me User Certificate in Ready state.
    ORA-00600 is not giving me proper location where I can find any error in my code.
    Thanks
    -Smith

  • Calling a Axis2 Secure Web Service with JDeveloper 11g

    We are attempting call a Blackboard (Axis2) web service using Oracle JDeveloper 11g. We are currently unable to generate the security header required, could anyone please point me in the right direction?
    I have following the following steps highlighting my issue. What steps might I be missing? Should I have created a keystore? Should I implement this with the metro stack? Any help or suggestions to go in a different direction would be greatly appreciated.
    1. Install JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 (accept defaults)
    2. Open JDeveloper
    3. Create a Project by selecting File > New > Generic Project > Finish
    4. Right-click newly created project and select New
    a. Select Web Services in the Categories
    b. Select Web Service Proxy, then Next
    c. Next
    d. Select JAX-WS Style, then Next
    e. Enter http://gpstc.blackboard.com/webapps/ws/services/Context.WS?wsdl for the WSDL Document URL, then Next
    f. Next
    g. Remove “:80” from the Endpoint URL in each row, the first row should be http://gpstc.blackboard.com/webapps/ws/services/Context.WS, then Next
    h. Next
    i. I don’t see an option for WSSOAP12Binding which this webservice utilizes, so I selected “oracle/wss11_username_token_with_message_protection_client_policy”
    j. Next
    k. Finish
    5. As a test, add the following code after “// Add your code to call the desired methods.”
    GetServerVersionResponse myv = new GetServerVersionResponse();
    myv = contextWSPortType.getServerVersion(new GetServerVersion());
    System.out.println(myv.toString());
    6. Run the Project
    7. Received the following exception “Exception in thread "main" javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: WSDoAllReceiver: Incoming message does not contain required Security header"
    Currently running JDeveloper 11g with Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1
    Attempting to connect to Blackboard, Release 9.1.50119.0
    Thanks, Adam Ham

    Hi,
    Did you configure the Axis2 in Jdeveloper?
    Best Regards

  • Jax-WS 2.2 web service instances management on Glassfish 3

    Hi all, I'm studying Jax-WS specification in general and its implementation on Glassfish 3.1.2. I built a simple standard example where a jax-ws soap based web service is called from a jsp page by using the artifacts generated through wsimport (the webservice and the jsp page are both deployed on Glassfish in the same EAR but in 2 different wars).
    Everything works as expected but I have a question: looking at the application log, it seems that Glassfish creates a new instance of the webservice each time it is called. I would like to know where Java offically defines how a web container should manage webservice instances and if developers can customize this behaviour.
    I read jax-ws 2.1 specification here
    http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/jcp/jaxws-2.1-mrel2-eval-oth-JSpec/
    but I found only a clue when speaking about how to publish a webservice using the Endpoint class by hand (section 5.2.2 "Publishing", page 69):
    "An endpoint consists of an object that acts as the Web service implementation (called here implementor) plus some configuration information...
    An Endpoint will be typically invoked to serve concurrent requests, so its implementor should be written so as to support multiple threads. The synchronized keyword may be used as usual to control access to critical sections of code. For finer control over the threads used to dispatch incoming requests, an application can directly set the executor to be used..."
    This note is present even in Jax-WS 2.2 specification (used by Glassfish 3).
    Actually, if I build a webservice using only JavaSE 7 (which includes Jax-WS 2.2), this description is true because there is only one instance of the webservice. Is there any reason why JavaEE doesn't follow this policy?
    Thanks a lot for your help,
    Nico

    Hi, I found the answers on this specification (JSR-109):
    http://jcp.org/aboutJava/communityprocess/mrel/jsr109/index3.html
    It describes how Jax-WS works on JavaEE:
    "4.1 Client Programming model (page 18)
    a client must assume that the methods of a Web service have no state that is persistent across multiple Web service method invocations. A client can treat the Web service implementation as stateless.
    The client has no control over the life cycle of the Web service implementation on the server. A client does not create or destroy instances of a Web service, which is referred to as a Port. The client only accesses the Port. The life cycle of the Ports, or instances of a Web service implementation, are managed by the run-time that hosts the Web service. A Port has no identity. This means that a client cannot compare a Port to other Ports to see if they are the same or identical, nor can a client access a specific Port instance.
    5.3.2.4.2 Web container programming model for JAX-WS (page 42)
    A Service Implementation must be a stateless object. A Service Implementation Bean must not save client specific state across method calls either within the bean instance’s data members or external to the instance. A container may use any bean instance to service a request.
    5.3.4 Service Implementation Bean Life Cycle (page 43)
    Before a request can be serviced, the container must instantiate a Service Implementation Bean and ready it for method requests.
    A container may pool method ready instances of a Service Implementation Bean and dispatch a method request on any instance in a method ready state."
    Moreover, the specification states that JavaEE must not use the Endpoint class to publish a webservice:
    "5.3.3 Publishing Endpoints – javax.xml.ws.Endpoint (page 43)
    JAX-WS provides functionality for creating and publishing Web Service endpoints dynamically using javax.xml.ws.Endpoint API. The use of this functionality is considered non-portable in a managed environment. It is required that both the Servlet and the EJB container disallow the publishing of the Endpoint dynamically, by not granting the publishEndpoint security permission."

  • Question related to the  JAX-RPC.

    Hi ,
    I have a question related to the JAX-RPC API.
    Please clear me following points whether I am right or not?
    1. If my two end points are in Java then and only we use the JAX-RPC API. Is it right?
    2. If my two end points are in .Net then we use the some other API in .NET. Is it right?
    Please give me links or associate info. regarding this.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

    With JAX-RPC API, you are writing or consuming web services. If you are building web services, then that web service should be interoperable to .NET as well as Java. You do not have to use JAX-RPC, because, JAX-WS can serve the same purpose but is much easier to program. More about web services may be found at [http://soalib.com|http://soalib.com]

  • JDeveloper reports: The JAX-RPC extension is not installed

    Hi. I'm attempting to publish a JAX-RPC Web Service, following the instructions in the "Publish a JAX-RPC Java Web Service" document from Oracle Magazine (http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/webservices/htdocs/series/jaxrpc1/index.html). I get all the way to the point of creating the Web Service from the Emp.jpr (step 13). When I select "JAX-RPC Web Services" as my "Deployment Platform" and press "Next" I get a dialog saying "The JAX-RPC extension is not installed. Either install the extension or choose a differrent platform for the service." I have, in fact, installed the JAX-RPC extension (following the instructions at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/partners/addins/exchange/jaxrpc/readme.html).
    Does anyone know the cause of this problem? Thanks.

    I"m also getting this message while trying to launch mini bridge on a Mac. I went to the Library folder you noted and the mini bridge extension is not there. I have 4 extensions present: BuzzwordAccessBundle, CSREviewBundle, Knowledge, and STORY. However the PS menu item Window>Extensions, the Extensions is grayed out. Also when I click on the "CS Live" button in the upper right of PS window, nothing happens.
    I havn't used mini bridge much because I use Lightroom for organization, but I know I've used it in the past and it worked, so I can't understand how it would just disappear, and why these other things would stop working.
    How can I reinstall mini bridge and get the CS Live button and extensions working again?
    I'm back. I installed a couple of extensions to see what would happen and the Extensions button was still grayed out. Too shorten the story; it occurred to me to check what mode PS was running in. I had switched it to 32 bit mode so some not yet updated plugins would work. I switched it to 64 bit mode and bingo, everything works now, including mini bridge, though it is still not present in the Library folder you mention.

  • How to disable href/id in the generated response of a web-service

    Hello All,
    Do I have any possibility to disbale href/id on the generated response of a web-service that use RPC-encoded format? My generated soap body looks like this:
    <env:Body env:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
    <m:Response xmlns:m="http://www.myTest.com">
    <result xmlns:n1="java:com.myTest" xsi:type="n1:Response">
    <ResultObject xsi:type="n1:ResultObject">
    <firstString href="#ID_6" />
    <integerObject href="#ID_13" />
    <secondString href="#ID_6" />
    </ResultObject>
    <ResultObject xsi:type="n1:ResultObject">
    <firstString href="#ID_6" />

    <xsd:string xsi:type="xsd:string" id="ID_6">EUR</xsd:string>
    </env:Body>
    Do I have any possibility to instruct the serialization process so that the result to conform with an XML schema and to keep the RPC-Encoded format? In other words to get rid of href/id:s? Href/id:s are used only for objects having the same reference.
    This issue is now even more problematic since JDK 5 when for integers boxing is not necessarily and thus, the compiler translates an Integer assignment using the method:
    public static Integer valueOf(int i)
    which returns cached Integer objects for any integer between -128 and 127.
    Please give some hints (others than using boxing for integers or changing the soap format to document-literal).
    Thanks

  • Using the UWL API inside a Web Service

    I wrote a Web Service to get the number of new tasks and the total number of tasks for a user like it is displayed in the UWL in the DefaultView.
    The numbers are retrieved by the following code:
    user = com.sap.security.api.UMFactory.getAuthenticator().getLoggedInUser();
    // JNDI lookup for getting the service because we are not in the PRT container
    Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
    env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.sapportals.portal.prt.registry.PortalRegistryFactory");
    InitialContext initialContext = new InitialContext(env);
    uwlService = (IUWLService) initialContext.lookup("/broker/services/" + IUWLService.ALIAS_KEY);
    if (uwlService == null) {
         throw new Exception("Cannot get UWL Service");
    context = new UWLContext();
    if (user == null) {
         throw new Exception("No user");
    context.setUser(user);
    context.setLocale(user.getLocale());
    session = uwlService.beginSession(context, 200);
    context.setSession(session);
    context.setAllowBackEndConnections(true);
    itemManager = uwlService.getItemManager(context);
    UWLView view = uwlService.getViewManager(context).getView("DefaultView", context);
    if (view != null) {
         QueryProperties properties = new QueryProperties();
         properties.setMaxNumberOfItemsToFetch(0);
         QueryResult result = itemManager.getItemsForView(context, view, properties, null);
         totals = itemManager.getTotalAndEmphasizedItemCountForView(context, view, "", null);
    In the first step I chose basic authentication. When debugging I see that the web service gets the information about the logged on user. The UWLService, item manager, session and view, all of them are determined resp. created.
    But when calling getItems the UWL exception "Logged in users context or session doesn't exist" is thrown.
    When calling the same functionality from Web Dynpro everything works fine.
    Service and session are determined like this
    uwlService = (IUWLService) WDPortalUtils.getServiceReference(IUWLService.ALIAS_KEY);
    context = new UWLContext();
    IUser user = WDClientUser.getLoggedInClientUser().getSAPUser();
    wdContext.currentUIStateElement().setUserName(user.getFirstName() + " " + user.getLastName());
    context.setUser(user);
    context.setLocale(WDResourceHandler.getCurrentSessionLocale());
    session = uwlService.getUwlSessionForWebDynproClient(context);
    Does anyone know how to work with the UWL API in a web service context?
    Thanks in advance
    Antje

    Hi Experts,
    We are also facing the same issue as of Yomesh.
    The strange part here is that, yesterday, the code was fetching the User and we were able to run the whole web service.
    Suddenly, this doesnt seems to be working today. And after debugging, we found that, the User is not being returned with the below code:
    user = UMFactory.getAuthenticator().getLoggedInUser(wsContext.getHttpServletRequest(), null);
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance!!

  • Web Service authentication by security role

    I define an web service with authentication by security role.
    I access web service via web dynpro model in EP7.
    It appear below error:
    <b>Exception on execution of web service with WSDL URL 'http://XXX:50000/XXX/Config1?wsdl ' with operation 'XXXXXXXX' in interface 'XXXVi_Document'</b>
    how should i do to solve this problem ?

    Hi WU,
                Use this code with ur webservice & check the error in log file.May be we will get some more info abt this.
    This code will be in execute method
    Request_XXX reqData = new Request_XXXdbModel);
    reqData.wdSetInvocationLogEnabled(true);
    in the catch block give this
    logger.traceThrowableT(
         Severity.ERROR,
         wdComponentAPI.getApplication().getDeployableObjectPart().getName(),
         ex);
         //if (logger.beDebug()) {
         logger.fatalT(requestModel.wdGetRequestLog());
         logger.fatalT(requestModel.wdGetResponseLog());
         logger.fatalT(requestModel.associatedModelClassInfo().getModelInfo().toString());
         logger.fatalT(requestModel.toString());
    request model is ue model & ex is the exception in catch block.
    execute the application after this change & check the server log.In case u r not able to find out the problem,send the stach trace.
