Security concern regarding my iTunes gift card
I have never used a iTune gift card, so my question may be silly. This is a little bit complicated situation: I have a gift card of a few hundreds, and it was accidentally exposed online.
As you know, at the back of card, there are 16 digits code, which is used to redeem gift card manually. But fortunately, only partial of label has been scratched, so whoever saw the photo, they don't know the whole 16 digit code.
Now here is the question: there are other numbers (such as a long series number under the scan bar), there are also numbers at the left-buttom corner and right-button corner. Can people steal my iTunes gift card without the whole 16 digit codes? Can they use other sets of numbers to redeem the gift card online?
You may ask me to redeem the card to my account immediately, but that is not what I want. I don't have any apple product, and this gift will be given to a friend in a few weeks when he visits me. I just don't want to be embarrassed to give friend a gift card of $0.
So let me repeat my question again: Can people steal my gift card without the whole 16 digit codes? But they do have a picture of other sets of numbers.

That's under Apple's control and not the retailer's. Buy the cards from Apple or from a large enough supermarket or general store.

If the total purchase price of the media including any applicable taxes or fees exceeds the balance of the redeemed card, then the difference is charged to your debit or credit card account.

You can't do it yourself. If you've just redeemed it and not spent any of it then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can move it the other account : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

It says I have to answer two security questions but I can't remember the answers to the questions. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

After i redeemed my itunes gift card, i can't purchase anything in the app store or itunes store. When i press purchase, the security questions page will pop up and after you answered all questions it will force restart my iphone. Can anyone help me?

Does anyone know how to reset your security questions?? I loaded an itunes gift card on new ipod but when trying to make a purchase, itunes is asking us the incorrect security questions?! (for 1st time purchase) I know the questions are not what I chose because I wrote the questions & answers down when setting up the ipod. Any ideas??!!!

If all else fails:
1. Go to: Apple Express Lane;
2. Under Product Categories choose iTunes;
3. Then choose iTunes Store;
4. Then choose Account Management;
5. Now choose iTunes Store Security and answer the bullet questions, then click
Continue;
6. Sign in with your Apple ID and press Continue;
7. Under Contact Options fill out the information and advise iTunes that you would
like your security/challenge questions reset;

Another user had success doing the following:
I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.
