See log4j log on a J2EE WebApp

Hi to all,
I'm looking for a taglib o something like it to read log4j files and write them in a web page inside a J2EE WebApplication. Before do it by myself for example using SourceForge's DisplayTag, I would like to
know if anyone has already thought about it.
I don't need stand alone application like LogFactor5... I must show the log in a web page.

Incoming logs will only registered if somebody is trying to access something in your network... like for example if your hosting any of the ff: a VPN, an online game, a file server or if your using a P2P network like Limewire...

Security Provider(JAAS chaine module)logging with SAP J2EE Agent Policy 2.2

I have installed and configured a SAP J2EE Policy Agent 2.2 on a SAP J2EE Application Server 7.0 and installed an opensso 8.0.
I have configured and deployed a jsp application with the descriptor containing the agent filter on the SAP J2EE.
I have configured the security provider (based on JAAS) as follows:
EvaluateTicketModule
AmSAPWASLoginModule
CreateTicketLoginModule
I have then increased the severity check of logging on the SAP J2EE Application Server for:
com.sap.security.server.jaas
com.sap.engine.services.security
But since the installation of the agent, I am not able to see the logs of the different logon modules and be sure that the CreateLoginModule has been done.
I need to check that after the success of the agent login module, it goes through the CreateTicketLoginModule, how can I check that.

I want to use my login page in BEA instead of Access Manager or Distributed Authentication Module. I think it is similar to the problem you have? Did you come up with a solution?

If you have the EM (Enterprise Manager) installed on your stand alone WLS (which you should) you can select the managed server your app is running on, select the 'Log Configuration' menu and you should see almost the same representation an in jdev.

All,
I want to route all the ADF application log messages to a log file using log4j.
I have created a log4j.properties and put in the ViewController/src folder. The application finds that config file, and produces the desired output - so far, so good.
Now I would like to route all the WLS logging using log4j.
To first try it, I've opened the integrated WLS console, and set, under server/logging, that the log implementation uses log4j instead of jdk. I have also checked the "redirect stdout", "redirect stderr", and "logging bridge" check boxes.
I've also:
- included the wllog4j.jar and log4j-1.2.16.jar in the classpath (by editing the /home/semar/Oracle/Middleware/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/commEnv.sh file).
- put a copy of log4j.properties also in the WLS path - which is, in my case: /home/semar/Oracle/Middleware/wlserver_10.3/server/bin
- put the path of the log4j.properties in the WLS CLASSPATH (by editing the /home/semar/Oracle/Middleware/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/commEnv.sh file)
I've then re-started the integrated wls, and now what happens is:
- the log appender for my application is no more found (log4j complains that the appender is not configured)
- no log file is produced/updated
Am I missing something obvious here ? Where should I put the log4j.properties then ? Are other extra tasks I should perform, in order to get all the ADF and WLS logging routed through log4j, and configured using a single log4j property file ?
I'm using WLS 10.3.5.0 and Jdeveloper 11g rel 2 11.1.2.1.0, running on a Linux OpenSuse 11.4

I have put the two JARs + log4j.properties into domain_root/lib folder.
I have also modified the startWeblogic.sh by adding the following:

yes, that app engine didnt inserted any rows. So now when i tried to drill down i found that there was no data in the "new demo" database on table UPG_DATACONV. That is the reason for all this.
When i applied required for upgrade patch in demo it said couple of patch already exists so those update i skipped. Now when i check upd877654 has a step which imports the data in this table. my change assistant told that the update is already available in my demo so i skipped. Now i am not sure what to do.
I tried reimporting the data and running the analyzer again. But worried that there can be any issues due to this.

Power Bi for o365 - Odata connection test worked but "The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details". Port 8051? Authority\System

We set up the Data Management Gateway and created a new data source (odata to SQL via sqL user)
Did a connection test and it was successful!
Tried the URL (maybe it needs more):
https://ourdomain.hybridproxy.powerbi.com/ODataService/v1.0/odatatest
That resolves to some :8051 port address and then spits out this message:
The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details.
I checked and the data management gateway is running.
Does that 8051 port need to be opened on our firewall for this server? How can I confirm that is the issue.. I see no event on the server indicating this is the issue?
I am seeing this event:

When trying to create connection using Contribute 6.5, get error message "Unknown error. Please see the log for detail." The log says "Network connection timed out." What do I do now?

Have been using Contribute 6.5, and earlier versions, for years with Hostway without any problems. All of a sudden I cannot create a connection to our website. Tried to chat with Adobe a twice now and got no help. Yesterday they started a chat with me, then ended the session without any communication! My problem has been going on for several weeks now. I uninstalled Contribute, downloaded and installed again, but it did not help. Hostway had me connect with Zilla and everything worked fine. So, they say the problem is with Adobe. The last attempt ended with "Unknown error. Please see the log for detail." The log says "Network operation timed out." Does anyone have any suggestions?

Can you please try using any other Internet connection outside your company's network and see if it is working? Alternatively, Can you please try the below settings from the Advanced... Menu while creating the connection using FTP details and try to create the connection again:

Can't open Flash Builder - "See the log file" error.

This is incredably frustrating as you can imagine as it effectively means i cant work anymore, it is clearly some kind of problem with eclipse but i have no idea what.

There is a similar thread with exact same stackstrace and problmes reported with earlier verison of FB. You can check it here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/832073. Thre is also representation of Adobe engineers on this thread. Aprarenlty there are certain updates(Eclipse / java) that FB doen't encourage, post FB is installed in stanadlone mode and workarounds are suggested on this thread to overcome this problem. If you are workign in plugin environment with FB, I guess updates are not affecting FB installtion. Please try out the solutions presented on this thread and let us know.

I am not able to see Diagnostics logs in Admin Console

I did some configuration changes in JDBC level and now i want to see diagnostics logs in admin console . But when i moved to Diagnostics--->log files---->server logs----> (selected managed server ) -->click view
it doesn't display anything.

First of all you have to do some tasks in order to get this data.
1. Enter to WLS Administration Console.
2. On the left panel go to Diagnostics > Diagnostic Images
3. Select one of your servers using the radio button.
4. Clic on Capture Image
It will generate a zip file with a snapshot, or dump, of a server's state and configuration data.

How to configur log4j logging for weblogic 10.1

Hi,
I am tried to set log4j logging for my application running in weblogic 10.1. I set a log4j.properties file and loaded the properties by a servlet. Where its load the properties files and configure it by PropertyConfigurator.
The same logic has worked out in websphere. But in weblogic, it is not working. I set the server logging and domain logging to Log4j in Admin console. Now it is writing all the log statements.
If i write a property for a package to Error level and root level is Debug. Its not working, all debug statements are getting written.
Can you please tell me the steps to configure log4j logging in weblogic 10.1.

Impossible to See the log after executing a logic

Hello,
Most of the time I develop on a VM. On this system i have acces to a execution log once i have launch a Logic though a SSIS package ( BPC 5.1 ). But on the production system i don't have acces to the execution log. Is there a parameter i can change to have acces to this information ?

Hi,
To have access to log of logic you need to have access to follow patch:
fileserver\C$\BPC\Data\Webfolder\YourAppset\YourApplication\Private Publication\Your User\
So you can check if you already have access there and in case if you don't have then you have to ask your IT to share Webfolder with only right access for your user or for everyone if more users would like to have this kind of access.
Any way usually if you run a DM package to run the logic you should be able to see the log directly into Log of the package.(you have there a section view script logic log).

Hi everyone,
I have a WebI document in our DEV environment that I am trying to transport to PROD.
When I try I get the message:
Commit Status=Commit attempted and failed., Promotion Status=Failure : Object has failed to promote. Please see the log for more details
But where do I find this log that has more detail?
As background, the document in PROD is corrupt and I want to replace it with the working copy from DEV. Perhaps the fact that the PROD document is banjaxed is the issue but I don't know.

We are going live to live on the promotion side of things.
Test promotion tells me everything is OK :-(
I appreciate your workaround solution, I would like to understand full what's happening and put a more permanent solution in place.

Hello all,
we are faced to a problem when runing a daily export scripts, the script run in the following error in the application log:
"The tagged TIME member [Q4.08] does not exist in Currency Database [CUREISRI]"
"Set Currency Database [CUREISRI] failed: see server log file"
in the server log we cann see the following messages:
Set Currency Database [CUREISRI] failed: see server log file
Cannot load application EIS_RI with error number [1013108] - see server log file
Network error [32]: Cannot Send Data
- This version of Essbase (65400)
i'm newbie to essbase and i don't found any info about the above error neither in the Internet nor in the oracle essbase documentation.

So.... I've never used the Currency stuff before... but -- should the Q4.08 member exist in that database? As far as I can see that seems to be crux of the issue.
