Seeing full Screen in Centurytel's new email program

Centurytel rolled out a new mail program last weekend. When I retrieve my email through the Web, I cannot see the entire Centurytel screen--hence cannot view certain commands on the right side.
Centurytel techs think I am stupid. I have screen resolution of 1024 x 768 -- commonly used. I have found no way to increase this dimension but feel that Centurytel is programming for a greater resolution.
The Company has been "working out problems" and some of my complaints have been addressed. I have specifically suggested that words like "edit", "logout" etc. be used so that "old people" who learned to read know what symbols mean. Again, apparently it is my fault that I don't know that a white x in a big orange triangle equals a little red box with a little x when looking for LOGOUT.
I realize I am asking first a question--screen resolution and then asking for a viewpoint--why can't programs be user friendly for old people?

Sorry I do not know the native resolution of your iBook, but you might try System Preferences>Displays and set your resolution at 1280 x 800.
Kinda sounds like you may have already adjusted your resolution to provide for a more legible display...

How to dismiss Mail Full Screen when composing a new message

OK, so in iOS you can simply pull down the message you are composing to access your inbox, but how can you do this in Yosemite when using full screen?
Here is the scenario: I open Mail in Full Screen mode and start composing a message. I middle of it I realize that I need some info from another mail, but I cannot minimize the new message that I am composing or exit full screen mode. My only option is to the cancel the message I am composing and save it as a draft. Surely there has to be something that I am missing? And don't tell me not to use full-screen mode...

The work around is to open a New Viewer Window.
If you want to create a new window in Full Screen, expose the Dock while in Full Screen and select New Viewer Window, then navigate to the email that you need information from. You can then swipe between the the two as you require
If you don't want the new instance of Mail to be in full screen, first swipe to another desktop and then open a New Viewer Window

How to set full screen background color in new Pages

I just updated to Mavericks and the new Pages...I often use a certain background color when I work in full screen mode, but that color is gone withe the upgrade and I don't see how to specify a color any longer...any ideas?

Using Apple TV/Airplay for a full screen movie and opening new window on laptop

When I have a full screen movie playing on my TV in AirPlay dual screen mode, and I open a new Safari window or my Mail, the window appears seemingly by default on top of the movie rather than coming up on my laptop monitor. Is there a spot I can reset the default for new Safari windows and Mail windows to my laptop monitor, so they don't interrupt the movie on my TV?
Background: my girls love Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife which I find terribly boring, and need to find something to do while the movies are playing rather than fall asleep! And you know what happens if Safari shows up over top of their beloved Downton!

Flex Bug - Cannot display full screen video in a new window

My top level application consists of a login screen. When the user logs in successfully, the main application is closed using "this.close()" and a new Window() is opened. Inside the new window I've added the VideoPlayer component and specified a source.
When I run the application, everything worked as expected. However as soon as I click the full screen option on the VideoPlayer, Flex says:
Error: Error #3200: Cannot perform operation on closed window.
    at flash.display::Stage/desktop_set_displayState()
    at flash.display::Stage/set displayState()
    at spark.components::VideoPlayer/fullScreenButton_clickHandler()[E:\dev\4.x\frameworks\projects\spark\src\spark\components\VideoPlayer.as:2233]
Inside the VideoPlayer.as file I've found what I think is the problem:
2204: // add as a popup
2205: PopUpManager.addPopUp(this, FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication as DisplayObject);
I commented out line 2205 and added a new line:
PopUpManager.addPopUp(this, parentApplication as DisplayObject);
However I get the same error and it still says the problem is at line 2233 as well, even though line 2233 now reads (due to the additional line I added above):

I cleaned my project via the Project menu but I still get the same error message. Any idea how I can resolve this problem?

Ipad icons too big to see full screen after updating to IOS 8?

I have an IPAD Retina (4th generation) and after I updated to IOS 8, it worked fine for 2 or 3 days. Yesterday my screen went too large to display the full screen (icons are also large). When I open an app, everything is large. I tried changing the font seize but no change. I rebooted my ipad a great number of times, no change. I've searched Google but I haven't seen anyone talking about this problem. Any ideas?

Should it happen again double tap the screen with three fingers. Then go to settings> general> accessibility> zoom> off.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
Try deleting and re-adding the account to the Phone.

Cannot see full screen on BT vision page

Hello, I have just set up my new box, all working well, except the screen on the BTvision page which looks as if it has zoomed in to one corner, so I cannot see all the options only ones on top left hand side of page. Have tried pressing zoom button to unzoom it, but no joy. Any ideas?

Are you definitely using a BT Vision+ box and not a Youview from BT box?
The reason I ask is that a similar problem has been reported on the Youview from BT forum.

Pinching screen to reduce and see full screen every time out of holster

Hi,
Since I installed the latest OS update, now every time I take my phone out of its holster, the fonts are larger than usual and I have to pinch the screen to reduce it to normal size and see all the screen like before.
I have tried going into settings and setting font size to 8 and it works but as soon as the phone locks itself and I open it again it goes back to that larger zoomed in screen that I have to pinch to zoom out and back to normal.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

for some reason by default the zoom has been activated on everyones phone.
go to > settings > accessibility > turn off screen reader BETA > job done.

Not seeing full screen 1/3 is taken up with bookmarks etc?

mmy screen is split showing Google on the right dude and on the left hand side taking up about a 1/3rd of my screen is bookmarks, how can I fix it to see tge whose screen?

After the latest upgrade to OSX 10.9.3 I can only see two screen resolutions for my new MacBook Air 11"

After the latest update to my OSX 10.9.3 I ca see only two Display resolutions 1366 x 768 & 1152 x 648 when I choose scaled in my display preferences. As per Apple site the new MacBook Air 11" can show many display resolutions
Supported resolutions:
1366 by 768 (native), 1344 by 756, and 1280 by 720 pixels at 16:9 aspect ratio; 1152 by 720 and 1024 by 640 pixels at 16:10 aspect ratio; 1024 by 768 and 800 by 600 pixels at 4:3 aspect ratio
Please advise how can I set the resolution to 1280 by 720 pixels as this resolution was more comfortable to me.

Can not see full screen to set-up my ipod.

i have downloaded itunes and connected my ipod it is showing the page to set up my ipod but l am unable to see the right side of the screen where the continue button should be. I have removed itunes and re-installed and l'm still having this problem. Any ideas???

You probably need to increase your screen resolution.
Right click in your desktop and select Properties>>Settings.

Do I need 'Add-on' to minimise the Bookmark sidebar? It is something that was available previously

We just updated to a new mac from a 7 year old Mac because the logic board died. =The Apple reseller did a data transfer and now we cannot see full size photos on our new screen. We see the thumb nails but when we try to open a photo in the photo section of the library we get a black screen with an exclaimation mark. How do we fix this?

When you first boot your new Mac, it will boot into Setup Assistant. It will walk you through registration and then ask you if you want to migrate. Choose the disk you want to migrate from and choose all settings. No newer apps will be overwritten with older ones. No third party software will be lost. Although you should check compatiblity of apps with ML.

How to enter full screen mode in email?

Can we enter full screen mode when reading an email in landscape mode? I can see safari has already provide this feature. It is really useful for reading wide pages using iPhone 5 with a longer screen. But I don't know how to use this feature for email. In landscape mode, there are 2 email menus plus the system bar, which occupy too many screen. Any idea on how to enter full screen mode?
