Select/Format All Headers in Tables

I'm in the proof-reading process of a 40 page catalog with dozens of tables.  I've realized that some of the table headers are center-justified and some are not (not sure how that happened).  Is there a way for me to change all of the headers to center-justified in one swoop or do I have to select each one individually?

Did you use styles? If you did, then the non-centered table headers are overrides. You should be able to change the style definition to accommodate the override, and then change it back. IOW, if your headers are supposed to be centered, but a few of them are left, change the style to left so that they're *all* left, and then change the style again so that they're *all* centered.

  • Select for all entries in table - only interested in the top entry

    Hi gurus,
I have a general question: We have the task to select entries from a certain database table (that possibly holds millions of entries in the productive environment).
We also have an internal table at out hands that holds all candiates e.g a material number for which we want to select the data. That table can hold a few hundred entries.
In this task we are only interested in the 'youngest' entry for a given material - for that we a 'timestamp' in the key fields that should be used.
The data base table has various other key fields so that we can have multiple entries for each material.
What is the best/most efficient way to code it?
    One select ?
    Select and sort afterwards etc.?
    Thanks for any coding suggestion!

    Hi Siegfried,
Thank you for your extensive remarks.I give it a shoot to provide a little more detail.
Let's assume we have the following table Z_TIMESTAMP:
    Keyfields in that order:
    TIMESTAMP  type     TIMESTAMP
      VTWEG            type     VTWEG
      KSCHL            type     KSCHL
      MATNR            type     ZZ_MATNR
    Non key fields
    Z_AMOUNT    type   CURR
The task is now to obtain for multiple MATNRS with multiple VTWEGS in each case the TOP entry in regard to TIMESTAMP field.  KSCHL is not known.
Meaning the access happens w/o knowing the 1st keyfield. When I got you right an index (if one has to be designed) has to exclude the field TIMESTAMP but include VTWEG and KSCHL.
The actual interest lies in the field  Z_AMOUNT that is not part of the key.
    I hope these details help!
I guess I have to loop for each select and probably to work w/ ranges here.  As it can have usually up to three different MATNRs it has to check at a time (The 'youngest' entry of the 'up to three' MATNRs satisfies the requirement - think of different bundles of the same material).
Can a loop be avoided ?
    Thanks.

Starting in Oracle 10, you can also use Q-notation:

...and also can you tell me how to execute the output of this script. What front end are you using? If it's SQL*Plus, then you can SPOOL the query to a file, and then execute that file, like this:
-- Suppress SQL*Plus features that interfere with raw output
    SET     FEEDBACK     OFF

  • Driver table in select for all entries

anyone please let me what is driver table in select for all entries and when do we go for select for all entries

    Here is something from help
    FOR ALL ENTRIES WHERE
    Syntax
... FOR ALL ENTRIES IN itab WHERE ... col operator itab-comp ...
    Effect
If the addition FOR ALL ENTRIES is specified before the language element WHERE, then the components comp of the internal table itab can be used as operands when comparing with relational operators.
The internal table itab must have a structured line type and the component comp must be compatible with the column col.
The logical expression sql_cond of the WHERE condition can comprise various logical expressions by using AND and OR. However, if FOR ALL ENTRIES is specified, there must be at least one Comparison with a column of the internal table itab, which can be specified either statistically or dynamically (Release 6.40 and higher). In a statement with a SELECTstatement with FOR ALL ENTRIES, the addition ORDER BY can only be used with the addition PRIMARY KEY.
The whole logical expression sql_cond is evaluated for each individual line of the internal table itab. The resulting set of the SELECT statement is the union of the resulting sets from the individual evaluations. Duplicate lines are automatically removed from the resulting set. If the internal table itab is empty, the whole WHERE statement is ignored and all lines in the database are put in the resulting set.
    Notes
In Release 6.10 and higher, the same internal table can be specified after FOR ALL ENTRIES and after INTO.
The addition FOR ALL ENTRIES is only possible before WHERE conditions of the SELECT statement.
    Example
Exporting all flight data for a specified departure city. The relevant airlines and flight numbers are first put in an internal table entry_tab, which is evaluated in the WHERE condition of the subsquent SELECT statement.
    PARAMETERS p_city TYPE spfli-cityfrom.
    TYPES: BEGIN OF entry_tab_type,
             carrid TYPE spfli-carrid,
             connid TYPE spfli-connid,
           END OF entry_tab_type.
DATA: entry_tab   TYPE TABLE OF entry_tab_type,
sflight_tab TYPE SORTED TABLE OF sflight
WITH UNIQUE KEY carrid connid fldate.
    SELECT carrid connid
           FROM spfli
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE entry_tab
           WHERE cityfrom = p_city.
    SELECT carrid connid fldate
           FROM sflight
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE sflight_tab
           FOR ALL ENTRIES IN entry_tab

                 connid = entry_tab-connid.

  • How to select data from all HR Master Tables(PA0000 to PA****)

    Hi Gurus!
My requirement is to pick the changedon(AEDTM) , changedby(UNAME) and reason for change(PREAS)  from all tables (pa0000 to pa****)of HR  in which he made any change during a specific date.
Now if it is specific for two or three tables then inner join can solve it. but now it is the matter of picking data from maximum 9999 tables for which inner join will not be accurate.
plz suggest me any appropriate way to solve it out. or there is any table which store  the changes in All HR Master Tables.
    Thanking in Advance.
    Tahir Naqqash

    Hi,
it is very tidious to get it in one go, as u know hr tables contains huge data.
You can chack my wiki in https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/x/XYC0Aw .
Here you need to make the following modification.
    1. in the selection screen set on date range with select option.
    2. in the select query, change select * by ur specified fields.
    3. change dynamic internal table and ALV as per ur required fields
In this way you have to put the table name and the date range and will get the data.
for repeation u can call the same job in background again and again store data in a seperate internal table and display finaly ..... but huge chance of getting 'Time Out ' error in that case for comparetively large day gap.

  • GRANT SELECT ON ALL TABLES

Is there a direct SQL to grant select on all tables in the schema for a user? Or do we need to write a PLSQL for this?
Also, if a new table T1 is created or existing table T2 is dropped and recreated after granting the select all privilege, will the user have access to T1 and T2?
    thanks

Is there a direct SQL to grant select on all tables
in the schema for a user? Or do we need to write a
PLSQL for this? There is no privilege that would give user A access to all the tables in schema B. You would need to grant access to each object, which can certainly be done via dynamic SQL in PL/SQL.
There is a privilege SELECT ANY TABLE which allows the user to query any table in the system, but this is generally very dangerous and probably not something you would want to give a normal user.
Also, if a new table T1 is created or existing table
T2 is dropped and recreated after granting the select
all privilege, will the user have access to T1 and
T2?Unless you grant SELECT ANY TABLE, you would need to explicitly grant A access to any new tables created in schema B (or to tables after they are dropped and re-created). Potentially, you could create a DDL trigger that submitted a job that would, in turn, make the grant whenever a new table was created in schema B.

    this.Close();
The above code executes well with no problem at all!
As you can see the file to which i create and save and open my pdf report is
    AssignedDialyzer.pdf.
The column headers of table in pdf report from c# windows forms using iTextSharp are
    "Reprocessing Date","Patient Name","Dialyzer(Manufacturer,Size)","No.of Reuse","Verification" and
    "DialyzerID".
However the problem i am facing is after execution and opening of document is my
column headers in table in pdf report from
c# and datas in it all appear in bold.
I have browsed through net regarding to solve this problem but with no success.
What i want is my pdf report from c# should be similar to following format which i was able to accomplish in vb6,adodb with MS access using iTextSharp.:
Given below is report which i have achieved from vb6,adodb with MS access using iTextSharp

No Need to create two internal table because your feyching values from same table BSAD with diffrent where condition.try this code.it s work.
    select augbl

    where belnr = l_vbeln and
    bukrs = l_bukrs and
    kunnr = l_kunrg and

    else Refer this code.
    LOOP AT it_bill_data INTO wa_bill_data.
        MOVE-CORRESPONDING wa_bill_data TO wa_final_data.
        READ TABLE it_material_data INTO wa_material_data

  • Removing default selected format

    Hi all,
When I run the report FBL1N, and click on List - Export - Spreadsheet,  I get a selection box to choose the format. When I choose a particular format and check the box "Always use selected format", the system always uses the same format to save the exported file.
Now the question is:  I want the selection box to choose the format back.
If we go to table "SALV_BS_ADMIN" and delete the entry we can get back the selection box back, but I came to know that there is a programme for the same. Can any body help me with the programme.
Hope I made myself clear with what I am after.

Excel (in MHTML format for 2000/97)
You can change this only by using the report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN. You cannot select which format you want to use. The default value is Excel (in MHTML format).
In general, the format into which the data is to be exported can be specified at user level or at client level. It can be specified as follows:
    GUI ALV:
    a) At user level:
In the dialog box 'Select Spreadsheet',
set the indicator 'Always Use Selected Format' (creating an entry in the table SALV_BS_ADMIN),
    or
Maintain the table SALV_BS_ADMIN using the report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN.
    b) At client level:
Maintain the table SALV_BS_ADMIN using the report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN.
    Web Dynpro ALV:
    a) At user level:
Maintain the table SALV_BS_ADMIN using the report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN.
    b) At client level:
Maintain the table SALV_BS_ADMIN using the report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN.
The entries in the table SALV_BS_ADMIN for individual users generally have priority over those at client level.
In the GUI ALV, an entry in the table SALV_BS_ADMIN means that you skip the dialog box 'Select Spreadsheet' and you directly go to the screen where you save the file. In the context menu of the list, choose 'Spreadsheet' so that the system displays the dialog box 'Select Spreadsheet' again for the export.
The entry in the table SALV_BS_ADMIN is also deleted,
which otherwise is only possible using report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN.
In addition, the system opens the dialog box and the indicator 'Always Use Selected Format' is not set.
In general, the identical dialog boxes can only be provided in two cases. Calling it using the menu is used for creation,
calling it nusing the context menu is used for deletion.
In the ALV list display, you can use Note 1157927 to enter the function code "&RESET_EXCEL" in the command field to reset the parameter in the ALV list. As a workaround to Note 1157927, you can either execute the application with an ALV Grid, or you can use the report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN to remove the entry.
In the Web Dynpro ALV, the system automatically exports the data into Excel (in MHTML format) if there is no entry in the table SALV_BS_ADMIN. You can make changes only using the report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN.
    Comments about the report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN:
In general, you can maintain only one parameter (either for each user and client, cross-client or for all clients):
    1. Specify whether you want to display, create, change, or delete the entries in the table.
    2. Specify whether you want to make the specification for the entire client or for an individual user. Make the relevant specifications in the area 'General Data'. In this area, set the indicator 'All' if you want to maintain the parameter for all the clients.
    3. As of Release 7.0, the parameter 'ALV_Webdynpro' also exists for specifying the ALV version in addition to the parameter 'ALV_GUI'. Specify for which ALV version the specification is to be valid. Make the relevant specifications in the area 'ALV Data'.
Comment: The indicator 'All' is available only in display mode and in delete mode.
    4. Execute the report.

    Exporting to Spreadsheets
    Use
You can export the list as various spreadsheet formats. The following list summarizes the most important of these formats and the corresponding file name extension for the files:
    Format
    File Name Extension
    Excel (in MHTML format)
    MHTML
Excel (in MHTML format for 2000/97)
    MHTML
Star Office (in ODS format 1.0)
    ODS
Excel (in Office 2003 XML format)
    MHTML
    SAP-internal XML format
    XML
    SAP standard (internal table)
    XML
    Excel (in previous XXL format)
    XLS
A format is only included in the selection options if it is available on your PC. The system administrator can also restrict the list of possible formats or even reduce the export to a certain format.
When you export the list in one of these formats, the system automatically generates a file with the name export and with the corresponding file name extension. Exactly which parts of the list are exported to the file depends on the format.
Exactly which data is exported to the file depends on the format:
    ●      In MHTML and XML formats, for example, you export the data that is displayed in the list on the screen. The number, selection, and sequence of columns as well as the sorting, filter, and calculation settings are all included in the export.
    ●      In Excel XXL format, any functions that you executed on the list are not included in the export. The file contains all the columns that you have displayed, but your sorting, filter, and calculation settings are ignored.
    Prerequisites
To be able to display and, where necessary, further edit the file that you have generated with the export, the relevant program must be installed.
    Procedure
    Exporting the List
           1.      Choose  with the quick info text Export and select Spreadsheet in the selection list. In full-screen mode, choose List ® Export ® Spreadsheet.
If you have a choice of more than one format, the Select Spreadsheet dialog box opens.
           2.      In the Select Spreadsheet dialog box, select the format in which you want to save the exported data.
           3.      Confirm the settings.
           4.      In the dialog box that appears, specify the path and name of the file and save the file.
For some formats, you also need to specify other settings for the file that is saved.
           5.      Make the required settings, where applicable.
If an installed program is linked to the selected file name extension, this program is started automatically and the generated file is opened.
    Keeping Settings
If you plan to reuse the same spreadsheet format, you can save the settings for the format. By doing this, you can omit the step with the Select Spreadsheet dialog box and can export the list more quickly.
           1.      Proceed as described above in steps 1 and 2.
           2.      In the Select Spreadsheet dialog box, select Always Use Selected Format.
           3.      Confirm your settings and continue as outlined above.
From now on, whenever you export your list as described above, you bypass the Select Spreadsheet dialog box step and proceed immediately to saving the data.
    4.      If you want to display the Select Spreadsheetdialog box again during the export, in the context menu for the list, choose Spreadsheet.
The dialog box opens; the Always Use Selected Format indicator is not set.
