i am new to use xml in pl/sql. we are using a db Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.0.1.4.0
but we do not have XMLSequence so that i can not use select like
SELECT e.DOCUMENT.extract(value(d), '/xs:schema/xs:complexType/xs:complexContent/xs:extension/xs:sequence/xs:element').GETSTRINGVAL() pi
FROM XML_RESULTADO e,

where ID=2
who is it possible to have the sesult in diffent rows?

You will probably can get a lot out of "Building Oracle XML Applications" of Steve Muench (http://www.amazon.com/Building-Oracle-Applications-Steve-Muench/dp/1565926919/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_1) if you can still find it in book form.
It was off much use to me in the pre Oracle XMLDB era (aka 9.2.0.3.0). See if you can get hold on a copy. It is well worth it, very helpful regarding you kind of problems.

By the way, with the next release SQLJ will support pasting in of dynamic SQL fragments. Then you'll be able to do pretty much what you are trying to accomplish here (albeit with slightly different syntax). Until then you'd have to use the workarounds from the FAQ.

Well, welcome to the world of "hacked" phones. If your purchase was from the US, you obviously purchased an iPhone that is locked to a US carrier. The iPhone must have been jailbroken and unlocked via software to accommodate your foreign SIM card. Now that you have updated the phone, it is locked back to the US carrier. Only the carrier can authorize Apple to unlock the iPhone and none of the US carriers will unlock the iPhones. Best suggestion is to sell the phone and obtain a factory unlocked version directly from the Apple store.
To answer your other question, there is not a supported method to downgrade iOS.

Select or deselect multiple rows with one single selection event

Does anyone know how to create a JTable which can select or deselect multiple rows with one single selection event in JTable. Fore example, if the table has

row3
row4
row5
row6
What I need is when user select row1 or row2, both row1 and row2 should be set to be selected. Then if user press CTRL and click one of row3 or row4, both of them should be selected including the previouse selected row1 and row2.
For deselection, if row1 and row2 are selected, when users deselect one of row1 or row2, both of them should be deselected.
Hopefully someone can give me a hint.

Here is a partial solution using a JList. Only one line gets highlighted when the user makes a selection in the list. But, two lines are returned. There is a blank line between every two lines.

I'm trying to execute 'insert ... select' statement inside PL/SQL stored procedure using xmlsequence function and get the folloving error:

How to avoid ORA-3113 when selecting from XMLTYPE table

If I register an XML-schema, Oracle automatically creates a table xxxxxx_tab of XMLTYPE. (I use Oracle 9.2.0.1)
When I do a DESCRIBE or a SELECT from this table I get the error: 'ORA-03113:
end-of-file on communication channel' and my connection is dropped.
I opened a TAR for this and Oracle says: 'It is an internal bug so cannot be viewed in metalink. This is fixed in release 10i.' (do they mean oracle DB rel 10i, or a new version of XDK?)
I saw an example in Oracle Magazine (Jan
2003) "Make XML Native and Relative" about Oracle 9i Rel 2 and XML. As you can see in codeListing 7, the author also does a select from such a
table (CD331_tab): Why doesn't he have any problems?
Is there a workaround for this bug? What's the purpose of being able to automatically upload XML-data to a registered schema if you can't do a select of the data?

It appears that the XML Schema is not entirely valid. Specifically, the definition of element "DeviceCategory" has two definitions of element "Audio" appearing within a <choice> model i.e. something like :

<sequence>
<element name="Audio">
</sequence>
</choice>
This is disallowed by XML Schema spec per. the Unique Particle Attribution Constraint. The general idea is that a XML Schema describes a determinstic content model i.e. schema processor can always unambiguosly determine the matching declaration when it encounters an element. However that's not the case with the declaration above. On encoutering "Audio", it could match either the first or the second declaration of the element. Hence the error.
You will have to rework the schema to avoid this constraint. One mechanism could be to define complexType and their restrictions.

Instead of running this query again for 50 times, is there a way for me to just put it in one query and get multiple row returns? Thank you.

i don't quite understand your (repeated) question. what is the problem with "multiple rows and columns". Y_NOT and i have shown you ways to access them.
all you need are 2 loops: one around your number of rows and one around the number of columns or vice versa depending in which order you want to save things:

I want to display a recordset of orders from the Orders table
where the
order ID doesn't appear in the Paid Orders table.
I have tried something like this:

WHERE orderID NOT IN ( SELECT TOP 100 PERCENT
tblPaidOrders.orderID FROM
dbo.tblPaidOrders )
...no joy with that though. Would appreciate some guidance.

MMColParam1 is exactly the same as MMColParam but, for some
reason
unbeknowns to me, DW8.0.2 won't allow me to use it twice.
That's neither
here nor there though, as creating a 2nd variable
(MMColParam2) solves that
particular issue.
Do I need additional ( ) anywhere considering it is an OR
though?

Is there an option to go back to the regular menu bar so I don't have to select from the tab. Not happy at all with the new interface

I would like to know if I can restore the old interface. I don't like it, and rather select from a a menu instead of going to a tab to get the old menu options. I only use Firefox and not fond at all of the other browsers.
Although I am not happy with the one change, It still beats the other browsers so far.

Here are my own tips to make FF4 look like the previous version. 
* Right click a blank part of the tab bar and click "Tabs on top" to remove the checkmark. Tabs will subsequently reappear below the search bar. 
* Repeat the same steps, but click the top one called "Menu bar". This will reinstate the text links at the top. 
* To rearrange the layout, repeat the same steps again and choose "Customize". A panel will open and while that remains onscreen, you can move elements like toolbars, buttons etc around and place them anywhere you wish. You can also drag anything you don't like into that panel and add anything you want by dragging it out of there. 
* To replace the status bar at the foot of the page, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/

Set default values for StartMonth and EndMonth Parameter based on value selected from the previous parameter(Not cascading)

I have a scenario where it has multiple parameters like.....
Period which consists of "Year,Quarter,Month" as a values.
When user selects "Year" value in "Period" Parameter then "FromMonth" has to set its default value as 36th month from now.
Example: If user selects "Year" then "FromMonth" has to show "April-11".
When user selects "Year" value in "Period" Parameter then "EndMonth" has to set its default value as current month.
Example: If user selects "Year" then "FromMonth" has to show "March-14".
If user selects "Month" Value in "Period" Parameter then it has to allow user to select the Month Range and again if user selects "Year" value in "Period" Parameter then StartMonth has to show 36th month from now and
End Month has to show current month.
Please help me how to resolve this issue.

First, you need to create a dataset to set the StartDate and EndDate parameter's value using the query provided by Visakh. And then use the StartDate and EndDate parameter to filter the data in MDX query. Here is a sample query for your reference.

Selecting from XMLTYPE table

HI Gentlemen,
Given a schema-based XMLTYPE table with one big XML instance stored in it. I would like to select a subtree like <gnr V="12345" ...> ... </gnr> where the attribute could be a bind parameter dynamically changing. As an output I would like to have the whole subtree with XML tags, for which I already have a perfectly good XSL stylesheet to display contents. It is working well when the subtree is stored in an .xml file which references the .xsl stylesheet. My question is: How can I organize that the ADF view is connected to the stylesheet and how can I apply all that to a .jspx ADF page? Updating the table is not a matter. Please help if you can.

Finding the minimum value across multiple rows (not in a single column)

I am running some ad-hoc SQL to test a website implementation of a spec. The ad-hoc sql gives me a set of date values for a specific widget (called a Task). I need to find the Minimum of either (Task.EndDate + 1 year) or the MAX date from the list
of other dates. I can easily get all of these dates, and compare them visually, but I'm not sure how to make SQL give me just the single value that I want. In the image below, you can see the results. The blue cell is the value I should get if I were to retrieve
a single value.

A director at the company i work has asked for an application to help users request cleaning products for each of the buildings in the premises.
Consider there are 2 main tables:
- table request_cab, having the following columns:
- ID
- year
- request_number
- request_date
- obs
- user_id (references table users)
- dept_id (references table departments)
- deliverydate
- deliveryplace_name
- warehouse_id (references table warehouses)
- table request_lin, having:
- ID
- cab_id (references request_cab)
- year
- quantity
- product_id (references table product)
- productmeasure_id (references table measures)
As seen, table request_lin keeps the product details of the user's request while request_cab keeps the info regarding the request itself and who has made it.
The director wants only one form displaying all the 35 cleaning products available for request at the same time, having the users to insert the quantity of the corresponding product to request. She doesn't want the user to select the products to be requested so select-boxes won't do.
The problem i have is that the only way i know how to work with APEX is that each field on the form represents a single and different column in the table and what i need is to consider each field a single row to be inserted - this means, at worst, i have 35 lines to insert.
I believe it can't be done so i ask for your expert's knowledge to help me answer this question: Can this be done in APEX?

Thank you for your reply.
I've been trying the tabular form option but i don't think it'll do because the idea is to have all items at the same form, displayed like a list. I've noticed 2 things:
- With tabular form, you have to insert each product by itself... And, even if i have an auxiliary table with all the id and product names that have to be displayed on the form, i can't integrate it at the table to which the tabular form will insert the records (in this case, table request_lin)...
- with manual tabular form, i have to list all the content of the request_lin table, which i don't want... I just need a template showing all products and textboxes to enter quantities...
