Select-option _no input possible???

Hi.. all
How can i get my selct option as no input possible mode in selection screen....
so here user can not change the default value which i set...
for that how can i restrict......
how can i get my select-option with defulat entries and with NO INPUT POSSIBLE MODE...

Selection OPTION: Date input problem in Module POOL through Subscreen

Dear ALL,
Being new to ABAP, I am struck in a Problem.
Requirement:
I want an option on the Screen( My Screen 9000) for Date Range. Through this Date-Range I want to filter and pull some data from
Database.
As Date Range Selection option is possible only through Sub-Screen integration. Hence I integrated a Sub-Screen 400 (as below) and named the Sub-Screen area as SEL on my screen.
Problem: As soon as I enter the dates on the screen, then those dates are not taken up by the code.
During debugging I saw the the S_datum-low and S_datum-high are empty (in fact 00000000)
The code follows:
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE STATUS_9000.
Call SUBSCREEN SEL INCLUDING sy-repid '400'.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
MODULE USER_COMMAND_9000.

Making input select option or input field mandatory....

Hello Gurus,
I have been through some material to create select options in web dynpro ABAP. Now I want to make one of the fields mandatory so that if user executes it without filling data in that filed, it gives error message or enforces user to input in the manadtory field.
I know how to do this in ABAP but how do I achieve the same in ABAP webdynpro ?

Set i_obligatory parameter as X. This will set the select options as mandatory and standard error message will popup in case it is not filled.
wd_this->m_handler->add_selection_field(

I have been trying to find to input the range of values,like we do in ABAP as select options,though i am able to use inputField but i want to select the range of values for a particular field...

Parameter or select-option

hello all,
i have requierment in which i am confused.I have to declare a field in selection screen for user input. I have declared the field as parameter.But there is no multiple select option. And user ant to have multiple select option(.i.e interval range).
The problem is the field i have declared in parameter is type c.Like:: Enterprise(30) type c,
              divivsion(30) type c.
So this is not having any interval range.If i use select-option i can provide the range. SO plz help how can i define the parameter in select-option if its possible.
Most important thing is is there is no filed for refrence like: s_matnr for mara-matnr. as we can define in select-option.
Plz suggest some thing on this.

SELECT-OPTIONS : s_enterp FOR v_enterpr NO INTERVALS NO-EXTENSION ,
                 s_divin FOR v_divin NO INTERVALS NO-EXTENSION .
2)If you want to have it as SELECT-OPTIONS.
Then
REPORT abc.
DATA : v_enterpr(30) TYPE c,
v_divin(30) TYPE c.
SELECT-OPTIONS : s_enterp FOR v_enterpr ,
                 s_divin FOR v_divin .

to some extent you can still achieve it.
Or esle you can create 2 blocks using ADD_BLOCK of the above interface. check the parameters of this method where you can provide the layout as GRP or TRAY or TRANPSARENT. When you create a selection field give this block id I_WITHIN_BLOCK of ADD_SELECTION_FIELD, and other block id for the paramter I_WITHIN_BLOCK of ADD_PARAMETER_FIELD

use two i/o box.Try follow like as bello code
For ex: you are going to give date as a select-option:
textbox      input/out field box   textbox   input/out field box
date      :    fkdat-low                to           fkdat-high
in data declaretion:
ranges: fkdat for vbrk-fkdat.
in select query where statement:
     where date ge fkdat-low
     and date le fkdat-high.

Selection option for variable entry in BEx in 2004s

Hi All,
Have any of you noticed that the selection option functionality for variable entry while creating a variable does not allow wild card entry,Even though you create the variable with selection option as input.
In 3.5 we had option the option "contains the pattern " but in 2004s its not available in the variable entry screen.

When I posted this thread we were upgrading to SP11, now I am in the middle of another upgrade (SP15) and I still notice that wild card option is yet to be made available for a variable of type selection option.
Back then I had sent a message to SAP and was told that the functionality would be rolled out in new SP's. I am very curious as too how others are handling this problem, as they are bound to be reports for which such variables are a must.
P.S - The option has been made available

as per your requirement.
you have some data in your internal table also you have a select-options to input values.
on the basis of the values in your select option you want to fetch the values from your internal table. right???
then there should be a field like your select option in your internal table.
select-option: s_matnr for mara-matnr.
let assume you have an internal table with matnr and other fields also and your select-options is for mara-matnr.
then you need to select the values in your internal table according to the values in your select-options like below.
SELECT MATNR field1 field2........ from dbtable into table itab where matnr = s_matnr.
the above code will give you the values matching the values in your select-options.
you need not to apply loop becasue you already have only those values for which yo u have found records in the DBTABLE.
in case you want to apply loop on an internal table on the basis of s_matnr's values, then you can write.
in this scenario you need to define 2 internal table one with already fethced values and another in which we will fetch the values according to select-options.
loop at itab into wa_itab.
read table itab1 into wa_itab1 where matnr = wa_itab-matnr.
write statement........
endloop.
before that youwill have to fetch values in itab according to s_matnr.

Controlling the space between label and Input field in SELECT-OPTION

I am using WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS as a used component in order to dynamically generate the Select option in my WD Component.
Can any one tell me if there is a way to control the spacing between Label and Input field? This is because rest of the UI elements are in one particular order but for this dynamically generated UI.

Hi Kavitha,
The label is required for accessibility reasons. It's not possible to remove it and to use your own label from outside the component to point to it. Labels cannot point to targets across views (and hence acress component) boundaries.

In BI, How to filter the selection options based on inputs on top field.
The system should automatically filter the lower level drop downs based on the selection of a higher level.
For e.g. :
If a user selects a Country then the States drop down should only display the State's belongs to the Country. Similarly when a State is selected, the District drop down should display only those District's belongs to the State.

The requirement is : Suppose there is a input field PLANT.
If we give input for plant it gives related output.
Now if it is required to give 5 or 6 inputs..like plant1,plant2...plant6 and get the output related to all 6 inputs.
(Like we implement in ABAP)
