Select the anchor marker of the anchored object

Could you help me to find the script that select the anchor marker as a character within the text of the already selected anchored object.

That would be
app.selection[0].parent.select();

Selecting the particular object

Hi,
Selecting single frame also selects the adjacent objects is there any way of selecting only the single object and not to select the adjacent objects

Its not a group i have 5 to 6 text frame each placed one below other with .2mm distance between them, and each frame contains 5 to 6 objects. so when i select a particular outer frame other adjacent frames are also gets selected , because i need to hover through those frames ?

I am trying to use the Service interfaces of ESR available in ESA ECC-SE 604 and a few in SAP APPL 6.04.
How can we choose the GDT,Business objects or Service interfaces for the requirments?
Can we know which package provides which objects like what are the available things in ESA ECC-SE 604 and when should PI or ECC use it.
I am trying to create functional location Service interface(Installation Point ) and Equipment (Indivisual Material) for untillities requirment.

Anchor Objects that go haywire

Hi - we are a small studio that use InDesign CS3 on mainly Intel Mac's and two iMacs (not Intel). Most of our books are educational so they often use icons. To speed up corrections further down the line (when text might be inserted or deleted) we set these up as anchored objects and have even gone so far as to make object styles for the anchored objects offsets. Most of the time this works really well.
The problem we are experiencing now is that while doing corrections to a particularly text heavy academic book (A4, 2 columns) the icons have started to jump all over the place.
As far as I can make out it all started happening when a large heading jumped into the next text frame. The anchored objects all moved down as they should. But when the heading was corrected and brought back into it's box, the anchored icons did not go back to be alongside the text they were with before.
It's almost like the zero point has moved or something. Does anyone know of a global way to fix this? Otherwise we have to go and select each anchored object and clear the overrides. (Did I mention it has a lot of icons!)

You can always use a copy of the T shirt outline as a Clipping Path for an Object>Clipping Mask.
Otherwise, it depends on the actual artwork; in some cases you may use one of the Pathfinders.
If you have CS5, you should also be able to use Draw Inside.

How to activate the Info object catalog in Business content

Hi,
While trying to activate the Info object catalog, I found that some of the info objects under this catalog was earlier activated by some other developer. I brought this catalog (0SALES_CHA01) over to the Business content activation panel ( with only 'necessary object settings ) and all the info objects that also came along were de-selected since I didn't want to install those again). When I tried to install these I get an error indicating that some of the info object in question are not already active.. and ultimately the catalog doesnt get activated , although more than half of its infoobjects are already active under the '0CHANOTASSIGNED' node.
Please let me know whether I can get only the Catalog activated without getting any existing activated info object merged or installing those which are not already activated.

Hello Arunava,
Just drag the infoobject catalog as u did earlier to the left in the bus cont installation screen with "only necessary object" option.
Dont try to deselect any object. Go ahead with the default options and install in background.
Now you can check for the available objects in the catalog. if you have some objects missing, and available in unassigned node,double click on the newly installed infoobject catalog, select the required objects (which are not yet assigned to this) from the left side and bring them to the right side.
this will make the unassigned objects assigned to the required catalog.

Yes ..you can change it in SWCV...Check box ..objects are modifiable.
After this ...you can edit your QA objects...
But..After manual changes done in QA objects..it will create a conflict while transporting the same object from DEV to QA..
In Conflict tab..you have select the latest object as an active object.

Reassigning the Locked object in ID

Hi Neeru,
you have 2 options.
1. Unlock the object
2. Re-assign the object to another user.
Unlock the object: in the XI home page click on Administration --> Lock over view then select the required locked object and click on unlock.
Re Assign the object: Go to ESR change list and select the required object then give the target user name and click on transfer then that object is transferred to the required target user.

Use
When creating and changing an ODS object, you can make the following settings:
BEx Reporting
With the BEx Reporting indicator, you determine whether the ODS object is immediately available for BEx queries. If the indicator is not set, no SIDs are generated for the new characteristics when the data in the ODS object is activated. This optimizes the performance of the activation process, but the ODS object is not available as an InfoProvider for queries. Turn the indicator off for all ODS objects that are only being used for further processing of data in other data targets or that are being used in InfoSets.
ODS Object Type
Select the ODS object type. You can choose between standard and transactional, whereby standard is pre-installed and transactional is only meant for special cases. You can switch the type as long as there is still no data in the ODS object.

Unique Data Records
With the Unique Data Records indicator, you determine whether only unique data records are to be updated to the ODS object. This means that you cannot load a data record into the ODS object the key combination for which already exists in the system u2013 otherwise a termination occurs. Only use this setting when you are sure that only unique data records are to be loaded into the ODS object (for example, single documents). A typical application of this is in the loading of mass data. It improves the load performance.
Note
You can also deselect this indicator again (even if data has already been loaded into the ODS object). This can be necessary if you want to re-post deleted data records using a repair request (see: Tab Page: Updating). In this case, you need to deselect the Unique Data Records indicator before posting the repair request, following which you can then reset the Unique Data Records indicator once more. The regeneration of metadata of the Export DataSource, which takes place when the ODS object is reactivated, has no effect on the existing data mart delta method.
Check Table for the InfoObject
Here the name of the InfoObject is displayed for which the ODS object is also the check table, if necessary. You can specify this when creating an InfoObject. See also Tab Page: Master Data/Texts in the InfoObject maintenance.
Automatically Setting Quality Status to OK
With this indicator, you can determine that the system automatically sets the quality status to OK after loading data into the ODS object. You should turn on this function. You should only deselect this indicator if you want to check the data after it has been loaded.
Automatically Activating the ODS Object Data
With this indicator, you can establish that the data that has Quality Status OK be transferred from the activation queue into the active data table, and that the change log is updated. Activation is carried out by a new job that is started after loading into an ODS object is complete. If the activation process terminates, there can be no automatic update.
Automatically Updating Data from the ODS Object
With this indicator, you can establish that the ODS object data be automatically updated. Once it has been activated, the data is updated in the data targets. An init. update is carried out automatically with the first update. If the activation process terminates, there can be no automatic update. The update is carried out by a new job that is started once activation is complete.
Note
Only activate automatic activation and updating if you can ensure that these processes do not overlap.
If you use process chains to guarantee serial processing of the process, these settings are not supported for the object (with the exception of setting the quality status). Then you have to include the automatic processes as process types in the process chain.

This question is confusing.
You talk about properties, suggesting attribute properties are not showing up in the view object editor. Then you talk about a read-only view object, which suggests you talk about a running application?
Normally a view object is updatable when it is based on an entity object and when on the entity object tab of the view object editor (the page in which you select the entity object) the updatable checkbox has been checked.
But being updatable as such is not why attributes would not show up in a screen.
Can you be more specific, and also tell us what JDeveloper version you are working with?

Could it be that the anchord object in question won't move because you have it set to keep within margins which is preventing the move you're requesting? I've certainly run into that.
I've also run into the situation where the object model thinks the anchored object is in one place when it is actually in another because of that same keep within margins option. In this case, a move will apparently not work because the move is invisible, it being completely outside of the margins -- although that only applies to relative moves, I think.

Not able to select the other schema objects mrtadata
