Selecting Records based on multiple values in one field

Excuse the basic request.
I want to select all records from one table depending on the value in 2 specific fields. Each of these fields has a single value in it.
What I have written is as below
1.select nm_idno "EZAID", nm_fname, nm_lname, nm_et_tt "Position", nm_mt_mt "Status", nm_type, nm_wemal, nm_mailshot from MNME
2.where nm_type = 'M' and where nm_mailshot = 'Y' and nm_wemal > ' '
3.and where nm_mt_mt = (1 or 6 or 3 or 10) *** these are the bits that I don't understand why they will not work.
4. and where nm_et_tt = (408 or 329 or 283)
Basically every record should have one of the values I have highlighted in it.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Multiple records to be created for multiple values in a field

I am having a requirement in which i will have multiple values for a field.The values are seperated by commas.I need a record to be created for each value.(eg: if there are 4 values i need 4 records to be created). Any one please help me out.

You can try solve it at File Content Conversion level, by specifing your value separator as the endSeparator.
Or you can import all values as a unique record and then solve it via graphical mapping, using an advanced UDF, where you receive N records, then inside the UDF, you split the values via its separator and create new array values (one for each input value after splitting) and output that array to be used to fill destination structure.

Select records based on criteria and update those records once read

hi,
I am very new to bpel and DB adapters.
I have a requirement where in I need to query two tables to fetch some records and update these selected records with a new value for field to indicate that bpel has processed these records.
Once I select these I needs the output to be mapped to the output variable.
I am able to select the records based on criteria , but how will i lock these records so that these records do not get processed again. This should be a very simple usecase just that I am not aware.

Once you have finished reading the records fire an update query , update some field in the table so that it does not get picked up next time.

How to select records based on the:
- time period specified by the day only [DD.MM.YYYY] - CONDITION 1
- with values for 6AM only, and if not available, with values closest to 6AM - CONDITION 2
(if the time gap in MOMENT field is too big, lets say > 5h then choose the average between the value before 6AM (ex. 4:15AM) and the value after the 6AM (ex. 9:45AM))
CONDITION 1 (something like): moment between '01.01.2005' and '31.12.2004' - this is OK
CONDITION 2: I do not know how to formulate, especially if 6AM value is not availabe, and I have to find the closest available value, or get the avergae from the two adjacent values.

About condition two, would the following select be of use to you? Picking the first record could be achived by rownum, analytic function, etc.

I have a table with 5 columns(a,b,c,d,e), i need to select records based on MAX(c),Max(D) and Min(e) group by a,b. i am trying using : select max(c),max(d),min(e) from table group by a,b. this is not working. its giving me 1 6 1

when i group by a,b i am expecting the record 1 6 3

when i group by a,b i am expecting the record 1 6 3It looks to me like "1 6 1" is the correct answer. You're asking for the lowest value of e, and 1 is lower than 3.
Maybe you don't want MIN (e). Explain why you want 3 (that is, how you decided that 3 is the correct value for the last column) and someone will help you code it.

Select records based on monthly anniversary date

Hi,
I have a table with a date_added field and I want to select records based on the monthly anniversary date of this field.
eg. ID, Date_added
1, 10-DEC-2012
2, 11-NOV-2012
3, 10-MAR-2012
4, 28-FEB-2012
5, 30-DEC-2012
So For the 10th of Jan 2013, I would want to return records 1 and 3 only
I started looking at the extract function, but this soon falls down for records at the end of the month. For example, on the 28th Feb, I would also want to include records where the date_added day is the 29th, 30th or 31st. So, in the table above I would want to return records 4 and 5, but extract would only return 4.
Is there a simple function to do this month anniversary query - am I missing something very obvious? Or, do I need to write a query to explicitly cope with dates at the end of the month? So far I haven't found a sensible simple solution!

Storing and retrieving multiple values into one cookie.

These are normally delimted in HTTP by a semicolon. You can concatenate the string yourself and on the reverse trip use StringTokenizer to get the values back out.

SQL Query -How2bring multiple results into one field using Formatted Search

i am trying to bring in the results of the field dbo.Lot_ITEM.LOT using a formatted search into a row level using the following query:
SELECT     dbo.LOT_ITEM.LOT
FROM       dbo.DLN1 INNER JOIN dbo.LOT_ITEM ON dbo.DLN1.ItemCode = dbo.LOT_ITEM.ITEM
WHERE     dbo.LOT_ITEM.ITEM=$[DLN1.ItemCode]
however the result of the dbo.Lot_ITEM.LOT field could be more then one value depending on how many lots are assigned for that item
(for example this query would be similar to assigning batch/serial numbers to an item being despatched - as you can choose multiple batches/serials depending on the quantities available and required and then move from the left to the right side of the selection window) if that makes sense!
is it possible to bring in the multiple results into one field? and how can i amend the above query to include this?

just to simplify it (as the query im working with is to do with 3rd party addons) i have used the serial/batchs field instead and used standard demo database fields from SBO 2005 sp01:

The above brings me the relevant results but when i change it to be used in a formatted search:

i cant seem to get it to work - now this may be because the serial number is not allocated until teh record is added to the system, however when this happens i am unable to go back in and manually trigger the query as the delivery note rows cannot be selected!
i think as what im originally wanting an answer for is same as this example, im wanting to know if this is even possible?

Pass Multiple values of single field to ITS url

I have one transaction code(YW37P),
I that have one field(Order No) in the selection screen, which has capable to accept multiple values (i.e multiple single values) and excute the t code.
Now my question is how to pass this multiple values of one single field to the ITS url and by pass the selection screen.
I have gone through the blogs which explains about how to pass only one single value of single field to ITS url and by pass the selection screen

Hello Srinivas,
How do you enter multiple order numbers in the field usually? Is there a space or comma separating the numbers? If so you will probably need to encode the space or comma, ie if a comma %2C. The easiest way to figure it out is to use a tool like HTTPwatch and capture the POST data to see the value that is normally sent by the transaction.

How to find out the max/min value of one field corresponding to a second field in HANA through graphical way.

I am trying to find out the latest delivery date(EINDT) for each purchasing document (EBELN) through graphical way.
The view contains other fields apart from the above mentioned two fields.
When only the two fields (EBELN, EINDT) are there, then in semantics, I can select 'Max' as aggregation to get the maximum value for each document.
If I do like this, then I need to join more than 3 views and also so many joins in calculation view. Taking so much time for data preview.
Hence , please help me in getting the solution while the view contains other fields also.

But more than two fields are there with different values, then let me know how to find out the max/min value of a particular filed corresponding to the 2nd field with other fields also should be in the output.
