Selecting the JavaServer Faces in the Frameworks list diables FINISH button
I create a new Web Application in Netbeans 5.5.1 by clicking the new project item from the FILE pull down list. I complete steps 1 and 2 and continue to step 3, FRAMEWORKS. A list of possible frameworks are listed with unchecked checkboxes. I highlight the JavaServer Faces and put a check in the checkbox. As soon as the checkbox is checked, the FINISH button becomes disabled. If I uncheck the JavaServer Faces, the FINISH button is enabled.
What do I do to allow JavaServer Faces when creating a new web application project?
It is not only the JavaServer Faces checkbox that disables the FINIISH button, ALL of the frameworks listed disable the FINISH button when I check them.
Resolution: In Netbeans 5, click on the TOOLS menu pull down list. In that list, select Module Manager. A node listing of modules is displayed. Scroll down to the WEB node and click on the plus (+) to list the web modules. Uncheck the GWT4NB in the Active column. In my case it was version 1.3.4. Also uncheck the Struts Support in the active column, my version was1.3.30.1

By selecting the dropdown list a new empty browser tab is getting opened
Hi,
When i try to pass the parameters in Bi report, by selecting the dropdown list a popup(new empty browser tab) is getting opened why is this so. Can anyone help me to sort it out.

Edited by: user9093700 on Jul 9, 2012 8:46 AMIf you have tabs on top and no menu then the tabs are in a "Windows" area so there is no space to right. If you put tabs back to the bottom you will have most of your old behavior but because of the changes to tabs on top most of the tab context menu stuff all of the context menu part was lost except the customize toolbar stuff, double-clicking on an empty spot was restored, and eventually during the FF 4 beta most of the tab extensions Firefox messed up eventually worked again except in the area to the right of the tabs.
The Windows part of that double-click has to maximize or restore to normal,
and you have to be able to drag the window by it;'s title bar.

How to select the output list check boxes
Hi ABAP gurus,
I am developing the on report, it display the output list, in that output list first column is Check box,
here i created the 3 Pushbuttons on application tool bar, one pushbutton is SELECT ALL, 2nd one is DESELECT ALL , 3rd one is CREDIT NOT CREATE,
here when i click on the Select all button it will select all the check boxs and click on the credit not button it will create credit memos for all the customers, if i select the one or more than one check boxs, it will not working means (Credit note will not be created for that paricular customer)

Who selected the default list of product forums, and why?
I am struck by the odd list of product forums listed at the entry point to the new forums (http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa). There are one-click icons that jump to the Flash Player, Acrobat, Flash, Photoshop Elements, Dreamweaver, Livecycle, Photoshop, Adobe Reader, ColdFusion, Flex, Acrobat Connect Pro, and Lightroom forums. I can understand the massively popular products like Flash, Adobe Reader, and Photoshop, but Livecycle, ColdFusion, and Acrobat Connect Pro? Why are those niche products elevated to such prominence, while flagship Adobe products like InDesign and Illustrator are buried in a drop-down menu? I wonder if these were just random selections by the web design team, or if they reflect a corporate emphasis on "new media" products over print design.

Your guess is as good as mine. One thing is clear; if they are only listing 10 products, a bunch of people will be upset regardless of which they choose.
On finding forums; I suggest using bookmarks. Drag your favs to your browsers toolbar for quick access. Thats a lot faster than popping back to a webpage for an index.
Or; the History menu near the top of the forum is helpful to keep track of the last 3 forums you were on. -
JavaServer Faces Unit Test Framework
Based on my knowledge, there isn't any handy JSF Unit test tools. To facilitate UI developers and QAs to do test, I have created a prototype project to evaluate a solution.
For a Simple JSF enabled JSP file:

1) Hard to pin-point the html element rendered by input1, because up-level NamingContainer h:form is missing id.
2) More difficult to find the second InputText, because missing two ids.
3) How to assert if the converter really works or not, we can't assert any object in PageBean by HttpUnit.
4) Much more difficult to find those html element if there are several level NamingContainer, such as the component nested within "for-loop".
I perfer not to write HttpUnit and seperate JUnit to PageBean, so if the follow JSP can be used in both test and production environment, work will be much easier:

If I understand right, Shale only provides some mock core JSF objects and extends JUnit so that you can do junit test to your java classes.
What I concern is to test Pages(JSP) rather than java classes. I want to assert component attribute values within all lifecycle including rendered HTML script. Currently, there isn't any good tools to do this kind of JSP Unit test, am I right? -

I am setting up a group contacts but some contacts refuse to be copied to the group list
I am setting up a group of contacts for our choir. I have copied (drag and drop) from the address book to the group about 60 contacts but a few refuse to "go" into the new group. Any suggestions, please.
Matt is correct, but there is a Workaround:
As an example:
in your address book you have two people with same email address.
Bob Smith has email address: thesmiths @ domain
Jan Smith has emails address: thesmiths @ domain.
These two people are perfectly ok in an address book, but to get them into a Mailing List will not work by conventional method.
So do the following to get them into the Mailing List.
In the Address Book
Select one of the people and edit the email address.
In the example I put a letter A in the front.
Jan Smith has emails address: Athesmiths @ domain.
Now move both people to the Mailing List. As the email addresses are not the same they will both move to Mailing List.
Once in Mailing List, select the Mailing List
double click on Jan Smith to edit the email address by removing the 'A'.
click on OK
Now you should have two people sharing same email address in the Mailing List and ifyou go back and check the address Book entries you will find them correct. -

You can have the system generate a source list for a material automatically. The system offers you the possibility of quickly entering or updating all source list records for a given source list.
With this procedure, a source list record can be created for each info record and/or each outline agreement item for one or more materials.
You can create the source list for several materials (collective procedure) or a single material (individual procedure).
Prerequisites
Before you create source list records, consider the following:
For which materials/plants are the source list records to be generated?
Are only outline agreement items, only info records, or both be taken into account? (Decision only in the case of the collective procedure.)
What is the validity period of the source list records to be generated?
Do source list records already exist for the materials for which you want to create source list records? If so, you must decide whether the old records:
May not be changed
Are to be deleted
Are to be excluded from the validity period of the generated source list records

Collective Procedure
With this procedure, you generate the source list for several materials.
Choose Master data Source list Follow-on functions Generate.
Enter the necessary data.
Create the source list.
A list of the source records to be generated is displayed. Already-existing source list records whose validity periods are thus changed are also listed.
Select the source list records you want to include in the source list.
Fixed or blocked source list records: You can mark a source list record as "fixed" or block it. Yeah, but its custom coding in conjunction with a 3rd party for the postcode lookup. You also then need to handle the annoying dom manipulation BC does with its code on things like discount code fields, shipping option changes etc effecting your code. You really need to have a good understanding of coding AND BC in this case unfortunatly.
Possible though, but if you do not want to pay for it to be done or not able to do it yourself - Best to avoid this if you can on the project. -

Along the lines of cor-el's last post, if you want to delete most of the downloads, you can select the entire list using Ctrl+a then Ctrl+click the ones you want to exclude from the selection.
In some cases, Firefox supports "places queries" to drill down on specific kinds of history. However, I didn't see one for downloads documented in the MDN article, so I'm not sure whether there is a way to query just for successfully completed downloads.

Has the Address Book software changed? Or has Mail changed? For purposes of email, Address Book no longer allows me to find an addressee or several addressees who are members of one of my Groups (or Smart Groups). What happens is this: I open Mail, initiate a new email, put the cursor in the To: box and click the 'Show addresses' icon in the New Message box. The Addresses list shows up in a separate window with an alphabetized listing of all my contacts. It used to allow me to select a Group, but Groups are no longer listed. I have no choice but to select an address (or addresses) from the entire list. Needless to say, this is intolerable.
Ultimately, I have two questions:
What has changed and can I fix it so it works as it used to?
If I can't fix it, what other email/address book software combination works simply and cleanly so I don't have to live with this frustration.This add-on may help:

I can't print wirelessly using Airport Express. I have my HP printer connected to a USB hub, and the hub to the Airport Express, but when I select the HP from the printer list, my MacBook says the printer is "off-line" - even when it is not. I've tried several USB connectors, and several different ports on my USB hub; same result. I need to have the HP connected to the hub 'cause from there it's connected to our desktop Mac.

You want to display value based on the key selected in dropdown list. If you want to do like that
1) Create a context attribute for ex: key_value
2)In the properties of the attribute select the calculated as true.
3)It will create getter and setter methods for your attribute.
4)Go to implementation add the following code in getter method of your attribute

How do I select multiple addresses from the contacts list at one time to send an email. Each time I select one, the address book closes and I have to touch the "+" key to open it back to select another address. Is there a way to select all of them at one time instead of making a group? Thanks.
Yes, once you select a person from your Contacts app, you either need to select more from the '+' button or you can tap in the 'to:' field and type in the first few letters of a contact and select from the list. Kinda bummer but gotta make do.
