Selecting Tiled Images then Displaying the image

I am looking for a good way to display a collection of images (jpg) tiled in a pane, then the user can click on one of the tiled images, and then the selected tiled image will then be displayed full size in a seperate pane.
Before, I have done this by having buttons in a grid layout, and setting the button's ImageIcon in order to produce the tiled images. Then it is easy to implement the 'user clicks on tiled image, then image is displayed '.
I am wondering if there is a better way to do this. Your help is much appreciated!

I have the same thing happening on my iPod Touch 5th gen. Been happening for at least a month. I have updated to the most recent version of iOS which hasn't solved the issue. How do i read a text file and then display the content as a string

I also would like to strip the string from a certain substring and convert the remaining string into an array of floating point numbers. I was thinking of using the read from spreadsheet vi but I'm not exactly sure if that is going to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what I have so far. What I am trying to do is to display the text file as a string and then strip the "curve" from the text file. I think I did this successfully. Now I want to convert the remaining string into an array of floating point numbers, and display the numbers into an array and on a waveform graph.

I copied a smart playlist to a regular playlist in order to change the order of the individual selections. I then burned the regular playlist to a cd, but the cd burned it in alphabetical order as it appears on the smart playlist.

I changed the order, then burned a cd but the cd copied the songs in the order of the smart playlist, which was alphabetical. What am i doing wrong in this scenario, and is there a way to change the song order in a smart playlist? I am a new MAC user. Is this unique to the MAC format?

I usually make two playlists.

FORUM is displayed and then displays the mainpage instead

I have a strange behavior with the forums component. The forum shows up in the portal. After a few seconds the forums iView shows the portal homepage top and left navigation in the area of the iView. So I have two times the same header and left side navigation. In the remaining content part (the content part of the inner area) there is a message that says something like "you didn't show a topic or your session expired". When I test the iView it shows the same text and I can see that the forum forwarded to "http://mydomain:myport/irj/portal/forums?ForumsTarget=forums/recent-history.jspa"
We are using the most recent versions of the KMC + forums component.
Has someone an idea what could be wrong with it?

Hi Vanessa.
I had this problem too long time ago.
Try to recreate a forum iview and make sure that in iView Wizard you choose "iView template - create an iView from an existing iView template" (not from *par file).
This is a strange advice, but anyway that was my mistake.
Secondly, try to open foum Iview through the Quicklink.

COIS024 When trying to display the goods movement in COR2/COR3

Gents,
the system is issuing a COIS024 message (There is no data for the selection) when trying to display the documented goods movements for any process order. The order has both GI & GR. The message is also refering to OPJB saying we should set the type of this message to S in OPJB.
Any ideas why this is happening, or better a solution?

Hi,
2 things:
1. In COR4, for plant - order type combination check in implementation tab if you have flagged the check boxes under documentation of goods movement. If it is not done, then flag the same, then all future goods movement will be documented.
2. If the above is done, then run SU53 & check if you have some authorization issue.

Displaying the SQL used in a report

I have produced a page with a number of report regions based on SQL SELECT statements.
Is there an easy way of showing those SQL statements to the people authorised to view the page, e.g. via using an in-built API or function call ?

Hello, thanks for the suggestion, which was very elegant, I thought.
However, I cannot get it to work in either v2.0 or 3.1.
In the latter, I carried out the following steps:
<ol><li>Define a hidden variable called P_SQL with the Static assignment of the query (I just tried 'select sysdate from dual', without the quotes shown here.)</li>
<li>Created a new region of type SQL Query (PL/SQL function body returning SQL query), the source of which is 'return :P_SQL;'</li>
</ol>
The page however then displays the following error:
failed to parse SQL query:
The query can not be parsed, the cursor is not yet open or a function returning a SQL query returned without a value.
If I put quotes around the statement, i.e. return ':P_SQL'; then I get a slightly different error:
failed to parse SQL query:
ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement
If I instead surround the :P_SQL with q'!...!' , I get the same error.

Displaying the value of an variable on the stage

I have managed to display the values contained in string variables on stage, and I am happy with that, however when I wish to display the value of an int and convert it to a string as one is supposed to do the output to the stage just calls it [class int] and does not give its value. any suggestions?
My rogram contains a stage at frame 1 which displays a word. The user must input a word. Frame 30 then displays the word which was displayed and the word input by the user. That all works fine. But the value of the variable NumberRight, which has been assigned to that variable will only display as [class int] without showing its value. (even though I have converet it to a string using the .to string function you see below).
My code is as follows;
trace( "The number correct was" + NumberRight); //This works fine in the output window and shows the value of the variable as NumberRight [class int]1 (showing the value to be 1)

Hi Ned thanks for that. Yes I had accidently created blank spaces in the String() argument. (wanted to check if there was a subsequent difference in display and forgot to return them to normal ...Sorted )
Your next suggestion has eliminated the [class int] but I get a value now of 0.

many years ago I wrote this same program in Authorware using similar code. I am trying to re write it in FlashCS5 using ActionScript 3 and It take days to solve small problems. I notice also that If for example the user of the program makes an error and I record the error as NumberRight =NumberRight -1 the program records it as Total Correct = NaN .
I gave up on this a few months back but I am trying again. I think there must be a better way to do this. Variables do not seem to add up or subtract for me at present. no doubt its me thats got it wrong.

Need to display the messages in a view which has the pop up on it

Hello all,
I have a view(View 1) in which if i click a button a pop up is being displayed.
Now on the pop up(which has view 2 of window 2) i have a button(Ok) and if i click it then based on a condition i need to close the pop up and then display the message in the message area of View 1.
Now if i click the button on the Pop up then it is being closed and the message is not being displayed on view 2.
I think the message is being displayed on the pop up and is being closed after that.
How can i display my message on View 1.
Any ideas...Please help

How to display the updated data from db to user interface in sruts framewor

A beginner in this area, I have been able to read a record from a
MySQL database and populate in jsp form . Now, my goal is to
allow the user to edit the contents of the form and then update the
record in MySQL and then display the same in jsp. page
The scenario in detail
1)the data is fetched from db and displayed in non-editable format
2)Next button is clicked
3)Now in the same jsp page I view the same data from db in editable format
4)The user is allowed to change the information
5)Now update button is clicked
6)the records are updated in the db -Finished doing till this step
7)But the updated info in non - editable format to be displayed in jsp page is left pending.
Here is my code for jsp,i want know how to write an action for this,tried doing the same in java and I'm successful.but what I need is how to fetch the updated information in the user interface.
I've made both editable as well as non editable info in the same page with different actions.

u r using action classes. so after calling the insert method in Action Class to a dao... the next statement should be retrieve statement. so at the time of updating first it will get updated.. the next statement it will execute is retrieve and then set these details in VO or FORM and show it on JSP

Not able to display the Node context attributes to table

Issue: Currently i am reading the Node parameters and assigning the parameters to the Context of the mainView.
Then displaying the attributes into table here i am using a iterator to fetch the attributes.
But its reading only one record to the table not all the attributes.

What is this model() .
You remove the try catch method once and test it to trace the error.Why cant you use typed AccessAPI to fetch the values from the node element.Is your node have more elements test it.By getting the size of the node.
That too you are setting values to only current context element .Not for other elements.Everytime you are setting the values to current context element,thats why you are getting only one element values at a time.Iterate properly and try to set the values for each element

See the above code every time you are setting to currentNode lement notforother elements.

I'd appreciate it if anyone can help me with this please.
I am putting together a gradebook type spreadsheet. I would like to display the text from another cell if the number entered in another cell is greater than or less than a certain number.
So - if the number in cell A is equal to or greater than 70 then the text displayed in cell B equals the text contained in cell C

The Numbers User Guide PDF available from the Numbers Help menu as a download is good reading for beginners. As a reference document, the iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide is also valuable.
The function you need is called "IF", and the syntax is: IF "logic-expression" is true, then do this, else do this. As a calculation in a cell, that would have the form: =IF("Cell A" is equal to or greater than 70, then display the content of cell C, else display "something else") You need to provide the "something else", which can be a null string, "", if you wish.
As you will find when you read the guide, the cells all have row and column address components where the column is identified by a letter of the alphabet and the row by a number. So If your data is in A1, your text string in B1 and your expression is in C1, you would write in C1:
=IF(A1>=70, B1, "")
