****Selection of WBS element Similar to LDB ( PSJ )****

Hi,
I need to select WBS element (PRPS-PSPNR)
Based on the following fields on the selection screen
Project PSPID
WBS element POSID
Network/order AUFNR
Activity  ACT01-VORNR
Materials in network  AFVC-ISTRU .
Help needed urgently .

    We want to check the data while end user input it in the system.
    While preparing the the PO in the sysetm we input the plant id,storage location and WBS element.
    End user may select wrong WBS element of project under with plant. I want to prevent it.
    How can I prevent end user for selecting wrong WBS element under plant and storage location.

    HI,
    You need to some developement...create Z table and maintain  the entries with the cobinations in what way you want to restrict and call the same in the PO.

  • Logic for WBS ELEMENT

    hi
    i have an issue in the report, the problem is
    in the selection screen i have an WBS ELEMENT as an select option(there is no belnr in selection scrren)
    for eg- if i enter
    COMP CODE = 0010
    WBS ELEMNT = 23456
    YEAR = 2008.
    For the above details there are 2 line items in table for that particular belnr as
    BUKRS BELNR YEAR BUZEI WBSELT SHKZG
    0010 40000050 2008 001 23456 S
    0010 40000050 2008 002 00000 H
    there is only one line item for WBS ELEMENT IN BSEG TABLE.
    So i am getting debit(SHKZG-S) value but i am not getting credit value if i write the select query as below.
    SELECT bukrs
    belnr
    gjahr
    buzei
    sgtxt
    kostl
    aufnr
    lifnr
    ebeln
    projk
    FROM bseg
    into table gt_bseg
    for all entries in i_get
    where bukrs eq i_get-bukrs
    and belnr eq i_get-belnr

    and buzei eq i_get-buzei
    and projk in s_projk.
    please help how to get both values.help with code

    one of the friend from SDN gave the following solution to my problem
    but here he kept KOART = D, WHEREAS FOR MY CODE OTHERLINEITEM MISSED WOULD BE CREDIT OR DEBIT ONCE IT MAY BE MISSED THE CREDIT LINEITEM OR DEBIT ONE.
    LOOP AT GT_BSEG.
    select single BELNR KOART WRBTR PROJK FROM BSEG INTO wa_bseg WHERE BELNR = BSEG-BELNR AND KOART = 'D'.
    append the values of wa_bseg to it_bseg.
    endloop.
    i have faced same problem if u observe the table BSEG if KOART value is D , in that line item you cant get the PROJK value so
    from above select statemnt u can retrieve that value
    finally in it_bseg u can get the lineitems which are emitted by your select query

    If you're trying to select from BSEG using only these selection criteria, then your query is likely to be very, very slow.  Since BSEG is a cluster table and therefore only the key is used for the query, you need to specifiy at least BUKRS and BELNR to get any sort of decent performance. 
    If I wanted to select using WBS element (or any controlling object) my starting point would be the Controlling tables COEP and COBK, or COVP which is a view of the two; after all, the Controlling tables were set up specifically to deal with this sort of query.
    Once you've picked up the line you want with your WBS element selection, you can get any of the other lines on the document by selecting from BSEG using the reference document fields held in the Controlling tables.

  • Reversing TECO status for Multiple WBS elements

    Hi,
    Question on setting and then reversing TECO status for a WBS element.
    When a project is closed technically in project builder, all underlaying items (wbs, network/activity) are technically closed as well.
    When you try to undo this, only the status of the top element is changed, not the underlaying items.
    Is there any way in which we get the underlaying items changed as well (mass change is not an option)

    You can try two methods :-
    1.  Open project in project builder, Select project definition and then go to WBS Overview under project definition, now select all WBS Element and then undo TECO status. Now all the WBS status will be updated. But, this will not have any effect on network and its activities.
    2. Open the project in planning board, now select all the objects, now undo the TECO status. This will change the status of all selected objects like WBS,Network and activites....

  • Closure of WBS Element - If no costs existing.

    Hi, 
    one of the WBS element having no costs but auc created through Investment measure.  But while closing the WBS element
    system throwing error as follows" Go to the asset in construction for the WBS element and correct the error that appears there".
    now client wants WBS to be closed without deleting AUC.    Please suggest us how can  i close WBS without deleting
    AUC attached to it.  Please advice.

    Try the following method:
    1. Select the WBS in Project buider
    2. Select Edit - WBS Element - Invensting Programs -  Asset Under Construction
    3. Correct the error and directly save it.
    4. Try to re-close the WBS.

  • Restrict the user to select wrong wbs

    Dear Experts,
    I am creating a purchase requisition for project material by selecting account assignment category as Q. In the line item I am selecting plant for which the material is being procured. But if I select wrong wbs element ( wbs of other plant) then also system allows the P.R. to save. The same case is for creating P.O.as well as doing goods receipt and goods issue also.
    Please guide how the system should restrict the user to select wrong wbs while creating P.R. P.O. Goods Receipt and Goods Issue.

    In CJ02, when I am selecting any WBS element, Go to the details(TOP Menu), select  Settlement rule,
    (Top menu) In Settlement rule, some actions like,
         Create with Reference
         Save,
         Print
    this are not enabled,  Can anybody tell me how I /User can able to do it ?

      In CJ02 > enter proj >  press Enter key or in left corner just below the screen text 2 icons are there, one for WBS & other for Proj. Click on WBS (Trangular )
      It will give you the detail WBS overview screen for the proj and you will get eveything.

    Any one please can you let me know is there any way for Multiple selection of WBS elements in CJIC Transaction.I implemented Note 635711, but it is adding field at Additional Selection not in Selection screen. Even the output iam getting is different from Selection screen WBS element.

  • How to retrieve values from Dynamic Selection screen while using LDB  - PSJ

    I am having problem in PSJ Logical database. In a custom report which is using PSJ LDB, we are using PROJ and PRPS_R tables.
    When I run program it displays one dynamic selection screen, there we are giving selection criteria for PRPS (Master data WBS element) - Created on (giving some range like 2011/01/01 to 2011/01/31).
    So I want to display all WBS element which are created during the period (2011/01/01 - 2011/01/31).
    How do I retrieve the select-option low and high value of the field Created on Of WBS element if we Select data from any table based on this condition.
               Please help me.

    in fact you don't have to get the values, you only need to tell to the program to take them into account :
    GET PRPS.
      CHECK SELECT-OPTIONS.

  • WBS Element  in selection screen

    hi,
    WBS Element in selection screen of the report need to be added from BSEG table of field PROJK.
    requirement is
    for eg- if you take a WBS Element suppose 11020017 and you put in BSEG table give the values as
    BUKRS= 0010
    GJAHR =2008
    PROJK =11020017 it gives a message WBS Element 11020017 does not exist.
    where as this WBS element if you insert in Function module  CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_OUTPUT
    input as 11020017 , you will get output as 1000050-01.
    and again goto BSEG table and give the values as
    BUKRS= 0010
    GJAHR =2008
    PROJK =1000050-01, now u will get the value of  WBS Element as 11020017 .
    in the report the bussiness requires WBS Element in selection screen , the user gives the value of WBS Element in selection screen 11020017,it gives a message WBS Element 11020017 does not exist, the user should give this value1000050-01, but user doesnot know this value,user knows only 11020017 value.
    now if the user gives in selection screen 11020017 it should work i mean it must convert  to 1000050-01.

         Use in following way, declare a parameter P_PROJK as character type, if you declare it as TYPE BSEG-PROJK system will defaultly check in dadabase table.
    PARAMETERS : p_projk(10) TYPE c.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN.
      CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_OUTPUT'
        EXPORTING
          input  = p_projk
        IMPORTING
          output = p_projk.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      BREAK-POINT.

    I recently discovered that in LDB PSJ selection field CN_ACTVT is empty in the program, if program runs in background. Do any body know the work around, so that values are passed into program from the LDB selection screen to the program.

  • How to select WBS element of Level2 on Report Painter

    Dear PS Masters.
    I made project which has 3 levels.
    I want to see the result of only level 2
    on the report of report painter.
    However, when I select WBS element of level 2,
    the report shows level2 and level3 together.
    So, I want to exclude the result of level3 from the report.
    In order to solve it,
    I tried to uncheck the checkbox of "INCL.HIERARCHY" on Database Profile.
    But, even though I uncheck it on IMG, SAP check the checkbox automatically again.
    Pls give your advice.

  • Dynamic Selections in LDB PSJ

    Hi,
    I am trying to use the LDB PSJ in one of my custom Reports,
    We are interested only in the "Dynamic Selections" part of the LDB.
    Right now the report works fine without any LDB assigned,but once the LDB is assigned,
    the report code does not get executed. Am assuming the LDB is doing some check and exiting
    without executing the report code.
    The selection screen is not modified, i.e it still displays my custom Selection screen
    and not one by the LDB.
    Is there some way of disabling this selection or this check.
    and also how do I go about programming to use the fields selected in the dynamic selection
    for my select statments.
    Am assuming will be able to get the fieldname once the user selects it ,and then will be able to us them

    In a few ALV reports, we have WBS Element column showed in ALV list and WBS Element defined as type BSEG-PROJK, which has conversion routine ABPSP.
    When WBS Element is used for ALV list Filter, in Selection screen, error message "WBS element 0000000000000000 does not exist" is pop up as we hit Enter key or click on u201CSelection optionsu201D button with no value entered in Input fields.
    We get same error even after we enter an existing WBS Element in Low selection input field and hit Enter key.
    Itu2019s ok if we enter existing WBS Element value in both Low and High selection input fields.
    We know we have workaround by entering both Low and High input field, and we can fix ALV reports by using character based WBS Element, such as PRPS-POSKI.
    BUT, as users told me, they donu2019t have this problem before and it just happened. We checked the recent Transports and couldnu2019t see anything relevant.
    Could any of you let me know if you have any clue or if thereu2019s any other way to fix it besides changing report by report.

    · View in which the data is displayed - for example, by profit center
    · Origin of the data
             You can specify which data the system should look for in the database or archive.
    · Operative data

    · Archive data
    · Standard structures
    · Which objects are selected by the database
           By specifying selection criteria in the database profile for objects, you can restrict the scope of the data selected. For example, you can stipulate that only the WBS elements and all activities assigned to a particular WBS element are selected.
