Selection screen fields are not clearing..!

Hi all,
I have created one report which is having a selection screen with four select-options.
Now after executing the report, when i click on "back" icon the selection screen entries are not clearing even i refresh the select-options also.
Could any body please help me to resolve this issue??

I am developing an infoset query using logical database 'PNPCE'. I am facing problem while writing a validation on selection screen fields on an infoset query at infoset code level.
The fields that are under program specific selection are determined at runtime with variables viz. SP$00001, SP$00002 etc. There are actually select options on selection screen of an infoset query.
So I cannot write a direct code on these fields as they do not exist at infoset level and hence cannot be detected.
I want to put down a validation that if user does not select anything on selection-screen and executes the query, then he should get a pop-up message 'Narrow down your search...' and he should go back to selection screen again.
Is there any alternative way to achieve this?

Your Screen resolution is more in the system that's why while creating it was fine and while executing it was gone after the next field.
so you better create a frame and place that inside it or you can change cols size in the properties about the columns you want

Selection screen field is not populated without pressing "Enter"

I am calling a report from module pool using SUBMIT statement. I have defined a selection screen as subscreen on module pool screen. On this selection screen i have a select option S_BUKRS. When I input company code 1000 and just press execute button on module pool, it is taking me to the report output. But S_BUKRS is not filled before the submit statement and hence report is executing as if S_BUKRS is initial.
I put a breakpoint and saw that the field S_BUKRS is not filled before calling the repot.
I re-ran the transaction (module pool) and this time after inputting 1000 in S_BUKRS I pressed enter and then pressed execute button. Now the value is transferred to report since S_BUKRS[] is filled.
Do I need to press enter key after inputting the values on the selection screen everytime; before pressing the execute button?
What could be the issue and how can I resolve it?
I am calling the report in PAI of module pool using statement SUBMIT ZREPORT1 WITH s_bukrs IN s_bukrs AND RETURN.

I believe, you should be able to caputre the value of S_BUKRS in AT SELECTION-SCREEN event even if the user executes the program with out hitting Enter key. Make sure that you are including the CALL SUBSCREEN <area> statement in the PAI as the first statement.

Input Screen fields are not showing the description

Hi
I have copied a program, generated using SQVI, to a Zprogram, say Ztest, and when I execute this Ztest the description of the fields on selection screen are coming as SP$00001, SP$00002 and so on.
however if I execute the query made using SQVI the field description are the field descriptions.
Can anybody help me resolve this, to show the field description in ZTest also.

Hi khanna_rahul,
since quite a long time (10+ years) I do not use SE38 any longer - partly to avoid such errors as you are confronting now. In SE80 object tree, right mouse click on report, copy, in the popup mark everything, give new name(s) and that was it.
For you it will be easier to just copy and paste between two sessions of report texts. Don't worry, system will ask for transport.

Selection-screen texts are not shown after transporting to QAS server...

We created a custom transaction for MB52(Display warehouse stocks) named ZMB52.
After I transported it to QAS server, the texts in the selection screen are shown
as for example, p_bukrs, etc. When I looked at its text elements, it is maintained
in German Language. My question is, should I translate it to English? And How do I
properly transport it.

Have you created your own Selection screen Text elements
or you simply copied the Std ones
If you have created on your own it should have asked for the request and should have been transported with the request
since you copied them as it is it is not displaying in ENglish language
Translate to english and see
otherwise create them in DEV with a request and transport it.

VA02 Dataloss flag is set, when new screen fields are not changed, why ?

I have added some new fields to the sales order item Additional data B tab.
When I go into the sales order in change mode (VA02) and navigate to the Additional data B tab and don't change any of the new field values, the system think that I have made changes to the sales order when I press the yellow exit button, I have debugged the transaction and field (SAPMV45B)R185D-DATALOSS is being populated, how can I stop this.
Any help will be appreciated.

I guess that the marked fields are the ones you are missing in bi.
"P" means that the values are extracted but one cannot restrict the values by using the parameter of an info package. Did you try to test the extraction with the rsa3 to see if the extraction locally works no your r/3 system?
If it works, check if the fields of the data source are contained within your transfer structure. If niot, add them and add the mapping to your targets.

Displaying error message while entering selection screen fields

i generated a report.
in that report, the selection screen fields are plant and material type..
now my rqmt is like this :
if user enters any plant except '8210' in the selection screen, then a pop up should appear like.. enter 8210 plant only, and the cursor should remain in the same screen allowing user to enter correct plant.
and then same with the case of material type also..user should enter 'mcfe' material type only..
im using message classes like this:
if so_bwkey-low ne '8210' or so_bwkey-high ne '8210'.
message i000(zts).
endif.
if so_mtart-low is not initial and so_mtart-high is not initial and so_mtart-low ne 'mcfe'
or so_mtart-high ne 'mcfe'.

with this logic, when i enter plant..it is prompting
1) enter plant 8210 only..
and then when i press enter key it is again prompting
2)enter material type mcfe only..
but iam not entering material type here..
i want to get 2nd error message if and only if i enter material type..
help me regarding this issue..

Use Error type message in SELECTION SCREEN EVENT.It will place the cursor in the relevant Field.

Is there any standard function module which enables us to determine which fields on the selection screen have values entered for them. In other words, I wish to determine which selection screen fields are no longer initial.

MSS report not passing values from portal to selection screen fields

Hello Gurus,
We have a problem with Sickness Absences report in MSS which is a Z copy of the standard report RPTABS20.
The problem is when the manager defines the selection criteria and selects the other period dates and under Organizational View - selects All Organizational Units and highlights one org unit and report results, then the report displays the employees which are currently not part of same org unit as selected in selection criteria. But these employees were present in this org unit in past when they took leave, which comes under the same period as given on selection screen. So in a way it seems to be right. But the requirement is to only display the employees which are currently present in this org unit.
The report seems to be working fine in backend where we specified the same date range and org unit on selection screen.
On our investigation in portal we came to know that the org unit field on selection screen PNPORGEH is not getting filled with org unit number selected on portal.
On further investigation in debugging we came across the fm HRWPC_RPT_START_REPORT which calls fm HRWPC_RPT_FCODE_EXEC which in turn calls fm HR_HIS_EXECUTE and it executes the report with following code:
    SUBMIT (repos-repid) AND RETURN
           USING SELECTION-SET repos-varit
           WITH pnpindex IN objid_ranges
           WITH pnptimed eq ' '
           WITH pnpbegps eq act_begda
           WITH pnpendps eq act_endda
           WITH pnpbegda eq act_begda
           WITH pnpendda eq act_endda
           WITH p_super eq space.
Looks like the standard code is not passing the org unit to the selection screen of the report.
Request you to kindly guide if this is a SAP standard problem or the report is not configured properly ?

PO screen custom fields are not in correct order

Hi Experts,
After creating Shopping cart and purchase order successfully created.
Added my custom fields for PO structure INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSD_PO fields are visible in PO screen automatically with out adding my custom fields in PO layout /SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_PO_I_BD
when i go to PO screen i can see my custom fields but all fields are not in correct order.How can my fields should be in order.
and i added two custom buttons in my PO layout for WD component /SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_PO_I_BD i am not able to see my buttons?
Could you please help me out in this issues its urgent.

I've had this problem. There may be a more elegant solution, but what I do is make a playlist of the album and put the movements in the correct order in the playlist. I've also put numbers (01, 02, etc.) in front of the name of the movements. Either one works.

MP000200, screen 2044 fields are not filled

Hi all
We have used screen 2044 for many years, but recently som fields are not filled.
When creating infotype 0002 and typing the ID number (PERID), the birthdate (GBDAT) is automatically filled.
Normally these 3 fields are filled ....
GBTAG Date of birth
GBMON Month of birth
GBJHR Year of birth
...but now the are left without values.
Can anyone help me with that case?

I'm wondering if IT22 is not subtype mandatory ... check in T582A if "Subtype obligator" isn't ticked. Therefore you are obliged to fill the field SUBTY in your BDC.

Safari 4 fonts are not clear on the screen.....

I downloaded and installed Safari 4 for Windows over the weekend.
I find that the fonts are not clear...they are actually fuzzy. Right now I have this page side by side with another browser and the type is definitely different.
Any thoughts?

Validating a selection-screen field

I am Anil.can any body explains me how to validate a selection-screen field for the following scenario?
I have customer nos ranging from 100-1000.among them i dont have any sales orders for the customers who are in between 150-250.I have sales order(VBELN) as select-options and Plant(WERKS) as Parameter on the selection-screen.I want to validate these fields without hardcaode.How can i do that?Please send me the complete code.
I am not getting how to validate a field which is declared as parameter?

Selection-screen fields validation for dialog

Requirements: this is a report wherein , depending upon the correct select-options , user will pick some field values from table and some will be entered by the user in the next se51 custom screen for creation of a record in a ztable .
the problem is :without validating select-options values , it calls the se51 screen 100.

Selection screen field problem

Hello experts..
i have a selection screen , in that i have a field   s_bwart for mseg-bwart.
some times the user will input the data in the field and sometimes he wont. we have fixed movement types combination like
11-21 , 13-24 , 13-56 , 101-543 , 101-544 etc.
if the user did not input any thing in the selection screen , i am populating s_bwart in at-selection screen event with all the mvt types. after executing the report when user presses the back button to come to the selection screen, there the s_bwart field is containing all the mvt types in single values ie in the select options screen. So the user dont want that, if he comes back nothing should be there in the selection screen field s_bwart if he has not inputted anything. if he inputs only 11 mvt type then when he comes back after executing the report he should see only 11 in the select screen field ie s_bwart. Please send the replies on how to solve the problem.

in ur program try to display values for users in START-OF-SELECTION event as it triggers after the selection screen displayed for users. if user doesn't give any input then display default values in this event. and also create a variable
for ex:
data: ws_flag type c,
         p_value type i.
after u display default values for users in selection screen assign the flag as ' X '
ws_flag = 'X'.
before leaving ur program based on flag try to do like this.
if ws_flag = ' X '.
    clear s_data. // s_data is the select options for u.
else.
     s_data = p_value. // the value which user gave in selection screen as i/p.
endif.
