SelectOneChoice value needed for find-method to refresh table

I would like to implement a filter that will filter the dataset, resultset returned by my adf-table.
The user has to select a value in the dropdown-list and after he has made a selection the table has to be refreshed using the value of the dropdown as a parameter-value for the find-method.
I'm using a partialtrigger to raise the refresh-event on my table, autosubmit on my dropdown and partialtrigger-attribute on my table. Now I want to pass the value of the selectOneChoice to the key-value pair used for the find-method in my pageDefinition-file.
What's the best practice to add this parameter-value?

We tried the ValueChangeListener already on the selectOneChoice-component, but the listener doesn't get fired when you choose a new value in the selectOneChoice. Only the first time the method in our backing bean is accessed, and no other times.
We are using datacontrols based on ejb 3.0 session beans as our persistence layer instead of BC and we would like to put the chosen value of the selectOneChoice-component in the parameter of our method binding. We should be able to it in the same manner as you've mentioned in the example, by accessing the paramMap.

you can find all those details in transaction variant,
go with SHD0 ( numerical 0) and then enter your transaction code and enter transaction variant name and then select that
Select the program SAPMV45A and go CHANGE WITH PROCESSING (F6),
there you can find the list of fields and field names.

Using value selected in selectOneChoice as variable for execute method

I have already created data controls for the session bean method so I can drag and drop on to the jsp. This works fine when entering the data into the input text fields but I really need the first value to come from an initial page and the second value to come from the dropdown. I just don't know how to get the value or how to connect it to the button for execution.
The method takes two values
value 1, org is passed in (how do I pass from another page? I will actually have the render for this input field set to false so it does not display)
value 2, typeId from a selectonechoice drop-down list (how do I manipulate the soc to pass the information? Currently it looks as if it is just passing the elementAt number, I need get the actual value for the item selected. Where can I retrieve it?)
I have a button ready to execute the method on the session bean which should take these values. (of course the inputvalue for the soc was not typeId but I changed it. The values for the soc are actually coming from another method performed earlier.)
This is what I have so far:
I have my input text field waiting on info to be populated from the previous page (currently I manually entered it)
I have my selectonechoice populated
A button with the execute method already set (b/c I initially used the drag-drop functionality to test my method)

I have a scenario to map for transfers (affiliated co),
Company code A - apc 1000; nbv 200; accum 800; new value 250;
In company code A

In receiving company code B

dr asset 50

I am unable to do this with transfer method 3, which is new value method. I tried creating new trnsfr variants and TTys but unable to get the above postings.
Please suggest suitable combination of trnsf methods and TTys asap!!!

See the issue here is HOLD feature in PO should not be there if it meets the error condition.
For this you can refer another BADI for this purpose ME_HOLD_PO.

Automated value generation for key field in db table

I have created a table in SE11 and i want to autogenerate a value for the keyfield when the user adds a new record to the table. the keyfield is of type numc. this field represents a document id hence i do not want the user to physically enter in an id. Is it possible to achieve this without any additional coding. I am using a WDA app together with an adobe form to allow user to input data.

There is one more method to do that.
Write a query to fetch all the records from the table into any temporary internal table.
Then, do a looping in that table & increment one temporary variable inside a loop.
after this add first value of your primary field to this temporary variable..
Ex.: To add one more record with an increment to a primary key field is shown below:
DATA: TEMP type I.
TEMP = 1.
SELECT * FROM <TABLENAME> INTO TEMP_TABLE.
 ENDSELECT.
LOOP AT TEMP_TABLE.
 TEMP = TEMP + 1.
 ENDLOOP.
<Tablename>-<fieldname> = TEMP_TABLE-<fieldname> + TEMP.
Note: temp is a temporay variable and temp_table is a temporary table.

Need to find last time a table was used.

I am in the process of cleaning out a group of staging tablespaces and I would appreciate some help finding the last time a table was used. (ie: records added, deleted, ect.) Is there an SQL statement that will do it? Any other suggestions?

The finder methods that you are referring to are only simple finder methods. If you would like to add specialized finder methods, you can make your entity bean with bean managed persistence and not container managed. If you are using EJB 2.0, your entity bean with container managed persistence can use EJB QL for finder methods. You can search for this topic and/or download the EJB 2.0 specifications

For getting the response back from the user selection , please get the return code too. Before that instead of directly using the table crhd structure.. please do create a type declaration of that table , make sure that the field that you wanted to get using search help be specified at last of declaration type like this

Ejb-ql in finder method

Hi all,
I have a table which has no primary key then I made the complex primary key by 2 fields which are foriegn keys(Primary key in other tables or entity beans) , the problem is that whenever I write a finder method ,I face with an error telling these 2 fields are not cmp field .
could you please guide me .In addition I need a finder method which gets 2 parameters (the 2 foriegn keys) then return the the raw.
Not having known so much about reletionship in EJB ,please give me a sample code
