Self learner beginner

Question

I am teaching myself java with a book just for fun. Two of the problems are to create the following:
A. Program that uses "user input" character and prints the number of rows and each new line will be one space to the right.
Example: If user inputs the letter "D" I should get the following output with each new line one space to the right. The items in parathesis are only for explanantion.
D (This is the user input)
4 (This is how many rows will be printed)
ABCD (This line is flush to the left)
ABC (This line should be one space to the right)
AB (This line should be two spaces to the right)
A (This line should be three spaces to the right)
B. The Second program should be able to count the number of vowels in a sentence.

Here's what I had so far. But the rows aren't indenting one space to the right on each new line. I am following the format in the book I use but it doesn't explain how to make each new output line move one space to the right. If you run this you will see what I am trying to explain.
