Send as Email - xml tags contain LF

I am trying to send the content of a form as email, in xml format.
An xml file is generated as it is supposed to, and it contains all the data. My problem ist that all generated xml tags are invalid. After every tag name there is a line feed before the closing ">".
The generated file looks like this:
<tag
><innertag
>content</innertag
></tag
>
Is this a known issue? What can I do so that those line feeds are not inserted?
I am using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.2.1
Thank you!

When I open the pdf file with Adobe Acrobat Pro and then click send per email and save the xml file there are those LF characters inside each start tag and end tag.
When I open the file with Notepad++ and tick "Show all symbols" it is displayed as follows:
I am using a data connection to create the form from a xsd document. Can this be the source of the problem? It is a valid xml file.

  • Send an email to Outlook containing images and they get sent as attachments

    New to iPad and found this really annoying. Steps below show you how to reproduce the issue.
    1. Compose an email to an outlook based email account from the ipad
    2. In the body of the message put a sentence of text.
    3. Now cut and paste an image from your photos.
    4. Put another sentence of text following the image.
    5. Send the email.
    On the outlook client, you'll receieve a plain text email with the first paragraph. The image will be sent as an attachment, as will the final line of text (the one following the image).
    If you do the above but read the email on your iPad it will look perfect.
    Now, if you forward this email from the iPad to outlook it will be formatted perfectly!
    Can anyone explain this and how to fix it? I want my emails to go as HTML in the first place not as plain text ...
    ... Apple's "gumph" suggests that the iPad email is HTML ...
    I am tearing my hair out with this and don't want to have to send every email to myself before sending to the "wide world".
    Cheers.

    Further info.
    The same appears true on the iPhone 4
    I set up my MobileMe email in both Outlook 2007 and Outlook Express last night. Outlook continues to render the emails incorrectly yet Outlook Express works perfectly.
    So it looks like an issue with Outlook 2007 and 2010 but I don't understand why!?
    Every other email I receive comes in as HTML to Outlook 2007. I've never seen this before, so what is Apple doing that is so much different to the rest of the planet?

  • Sending '?' in XML tag to Oracle Stored Procedure

    I have a situation that I cannot find the answer to why it is happening.
    I am sending an XML data type to an oracle stored procedure. In one of the fields, I need to allow the '?' character to be sent.
    <ADDITIONALINFO>This is where I want ? to be</ADDITIONALINFO>
    When I send the info to the stored procedure I get the following error: ORA-31011: XML parsing failed ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
    LPX-00216: invalid character 191 (0xBF)Error at line 19
    What I do not understand is that the character (0xBF) is the inverted question mark
    I have been able to get around the issue by changing the question mark to &#63; which is the decimal format for the question mark and the query works.
    ie: <ADDITIONALINFO>This is where I want &#63 to be</ADDITIONALINFO>
    Is there another delimiter that is needed for '?' like what is needed to print the & in & fashion?
    Any insight to this issue would be helpful.

    There are some characters that you cannot use in an XML document, but I was not aware that the questionmark was one of them. As far as I know, you need to transform the characters '&', '<' and '>', and any character with a code higher than 127. The fact that the question mark is turned into an upside down questionmark seems to be some weird functionality.

  • How to send in xml tag a ESCAPE CONTROL ( chr27 )

    Hi,
    For a Check Printing custom (R12), I need to send to a matrix dot printer a xml file containing a "ESC J;" every 56 rows.
    The template that I'm using is an e-Text type.
    1) Does anybody know how I can write this ESCAPE CONTROL in e-Text?
    2) Does anybody know why the xml parser gets error when I create a new tag with the value of chr(27) in the iby hook package (IBY_FD_EXTRACT_EXT_PUB).?
    I do
    l_escape := CHR(27);
    SELECT XMLConcat(XMLElement("Extend",
    XMLElement("XX_ControlPageESC",l_escape) )
    INTO l_ins_ext_agg
    FROM dual;
    Thankss a lot!!
    Valeria

    Hi Valeria,
    I've also tried getting escape characters into ETEXT and failed.
    I think a better option is to create a new printer driver SRW file with pagebreak declared as char 27 every 56 rows, and use that to print to your printer.

  • Sending an XML that contains CDATA to a SOAP service using wcf-webhttp adapter

    I've run into a rather unique problem when trying to send an xml that contains the <![cdata[]]> tag to a soap service.  Without the tag the xml sends through without issue.  However, when I add the cdata tag within the xml, BizTalk immediately
    fails without even attempting to send to the service.  I receive the following error:
    "The published message could not be routed because no subscribers were found. This error occurs if the subscribing orchestration or send port has not been enlisted, or if some of the message properties necessary for subscription evaluation have not
    been promoted. Please use the Biztalk Administration console to troubleshoot this failure. "
    I have ensured that the send adapter is enlisted and started.
    This is on a BizTalk 2013 installation.
    Any and all help is appreciated!
    Thanks

    as per my understanding, if you use the
    <![cdata[]]> tag in sending message, BizTalk is not able to send the message as it is not matching with your send message schema that is why error  'The
    published message could not be routed because no subscribers were found.....'
    Please compare the message format or configured schema in send shape and message which suspended when
    used <![cdata[]]> tag used.

  • Sending an email, containing an adobe interactive form, as a step in a gp

    I'm trying to create a process in gp.
    the first step is an interactive form that is submitted to netweaver and starts the gp process.
    second should be another interactive form that the system sends out to an email account.
    wstarting the process by interactive form is not a problem, but sending out emails seems impossible to me :-P...
    i tried by myself, but couldn't work anything out.
    then i searched for a while in the sdn and found the following article by ginger gatling:
    Guided Procedures:  Passing email address for Interactive Form step
    it doesnt help either. dunno what version of netWeaver she was using, but at least in version 7.0 it's not working like she describes. also it's not possible to insert an email adress via predefining the appropriate field in the attributes tab.
    i would be very glad if someone could provide me a hint to solve this problem.

    This is the way how to send the form through mail.
    Generate and Send the Form
    The next step is to write the ABAP program which will create the form and email it to the vendor so that it can be filled offline.
    The program will have the following steps:
    u2022 Data retrieval and processing : A select statement for the pre-populated information
    u2022 Obtain the name of the Generated Function Module of the form
    u2022 Start the form processing
    u2022 Call the Generated Function Module
    u2022 End form processing
    u2022 Send the form to the vendor using Business communication services (BCS)
    Data Retrieval and Processing
    This can be as simple as a select statement to complex data selection. In this example we select the vendor number, name and company code from the vendor table LFA1 based on the vendor from the selection screen
    Get vendor data
    select single lifnr name1 bukrs from lfa1 into wa_vndbnk where lifnr = p_lifnr.
    Get the Generated Function Module
    The next step is to get the generated function module. Call function module FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME and pass the form name to it. The parameter e_funcname will contain the name of the generated function module name.
    First get name of the generated function module
    call function 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
    exporting
    i_name = 'ZVK_TESTHD'
    importing
    e_funcname = fm_name.
    Start the Form Processing
    Form printing needs to be explicitly opened and closed. Use the function FP_JOB_OPEN to open the form for printing. The parameter ie_outputparams determines printer settings. This parameter is also where we ask the generated function module to return a PDF file back. Since this is an offline scenario and there is no printing involved we need to suppress the printer dialog popup as well. Optionally there is a parameter connection which can be used to determine the RFC destination for ADS.
    Set output parameters and open spool job
    fp_outputparams-nodialog = 'X'. " suppress printer dialog popup
    fp_outputparams-GETPDF = 'X'. " launch print preview
    call function 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
    changing
    ie_outputparams = fp_outputparams
    exceptions
    cancel = 1
    usage_error = 2
    system_error = 3
    internal_error = 4
    others = 5.
    Call the Generated Function Module
    This is similar to the generated function module in Smart Forms. Since the parameters of the function module are defined in the interface, this will vary from form to form. However, /1bcdwb/docparams is a standard parameter. This is used to set the forms locale. This is also where we tell the form that it is fillable. Once this parameter is set - if the ADS is configured correctly (including the credential) - a fillable savable form will be returned when the function module is executed.
    Set form language and country (->form locale)
    fp_docparams-langu = 'E'.
    fp_docparams-country = 'US'.
    fp_docparams-FILLABLE = 'X'.
    Now call the generated function module
    call function fm_name
    exporting
    /1bcdwb/docparams = fp_docparams
    Z_VNDBNK = wa_vndbnk
    importing
    /1BCDWB/FORMOUTPUT = fp_formoutput
    exceptions
    usage_error = 1
    system_error = 2
    internal_error = 3
    others = 4.
    End Form Processing
    Use the function FP_JOB_CLOSE to close the form for printing.
    Close spool job
    call function 'FP_JOB_CLOSE'
    exceptions
    usage_error = 1
    system_error = 2
    internal_error = 3
    others = 4.
    Send the Form to the Vendor
    The PDF file generated is available in the parameter fp_result which is returned by the generated function module. The next step would be to extract this PDF and send it to the vendor using BCS.
    CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
    EXPORTING
    buffer = fp_formoutput-PDF "PDF file from function module

  • Hows this sound? Send an email that contains HTML button to update DB?

    My thought is to send an email containing a link that when clicked it calls a page with several items and their values and the page has no authorization or authentication to update a record in the DB.
    Can I send a session id or key to secure it as good as possible?
    Thanks, Bill

    We do this to confirm the email address a user has entered in a registration form. We write a unique code created with SYS_GUID() to a field in the USERS table, then send an email to the user containing a link that includes that code. When they click on the link, they are confirmed as registered and the activation code is deleted so that the link can't be used again.

  • Sender File (FCC) - Content of File into single XML Tag

    Hi,
    Input file
    This is Line1
    This is Line2
    Expected Sender File adapter FCC into XML
    <Document>
    .<File>
    ..<Content> This is line 1 This is line2</content>
    .</File>
    </Document>
    FCC is giving the following output with the below config,
    File.fieldNames = Content
    File.fieldSeparator = '0x1A' (HexaDecimal rep for EndOfFile)
    <Document>
    .<File>
    ..<Content>This is line 1</content>
    ..<Content>This is line 2</content>
    .</File>
    </Document>
    How can i read the complete file into a single XML tag?
    I am aware of other options (AdapterModules or Javamapping). But i want to keep it simple to FileAdapter using FCC or using MessageTransformBean (if possible)
    -SM

    FCC donse't work here, So i wrote a simple Java map inside Execute method to convert the content to the required format.
      public void execute(InputStream in, OutputStream out)  throws StreamTransformationException{
    StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
           try {
           BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(in, "UTF-8"));
           while ((line = reader.readLine()) != null) {
               sb.append(line).append("\r\n");
           } finally {
           in.close();
    After i had the input string, i formatted it to get the required output as XML ...
    <Document>
    .<File>
    ..<Content> This is line 1 This is line2</content>
    .</File>
    </Document>

  • Problem in sending Nota Fiscal XML as Email

    Hi
    We have activated B2B for our brazilianl client to send Nota fiscal xml as an email to the customer. This is triggered based upon the CNPJ code in table /xnfe/tb2b  .This works fine.
    Now, we have an additional requirement to send the XML to a general email address in  the client company even for customers for whom B2B has not been activated in table  /xnfe/tb2b.
    For this wechanged the form check_b2b_sendin in program /XNFE/LAPPL_PROCESSESF02, to poulate the cnpj value even if it is not found in table /xnfe/tb2b.. however still the email is not triggered for such customers.
    Thanks In advance!

    I believe, you need to have partner profile(KU) created for your desired customer by using TCode WE20.
    Then in customer master, your customer's contact email need to be maintain.

    I Have a large xml file in which the tag contains ~: as the value.
    Now I am trying to extract all the tags which have ~: as the value and store that column using the following query and insert into a table.
    insert into space_md select distinct xmltype(extract(value(x), '/').getstringval()).getrootelement() COLUMN_NAME

    Is there a better way of extracting the xml tag element name based on the xmltag content?
    There is one other table which has 172 columns but only 100 rows so it doesnt create any problem on that table.
    But this QC table has less columns but many many rows...
    Any suggestions

    There is a requiremnent of taking centain type of data backup and restore it.
    It was implemented on flat file approach which was giving errors.
    So it was implemented using XML approach.
    Read data, store in xml file and read from xml file and load it into table.
    Further, found that dbms_xmlstore is not able to handle tag only with whitespace
    and tried to use the loading xml file into xmltype table column and extract data.
    XMLTYPE column also has same problem of ignoring whitespace when used with extractvalue functions.
    So for the workaround I update xmlfile having only one more more whitespace in the tag to have ~: character once.
    After restoring data from xml to table I would run update qeury to update ~: to " ".
    Now instead of running blind update for all the tables and all the columns from ~: to " " I thouhgt whyy not create a xml file of tag having ~:
    along with its tablename.
    and thats where I found the problem of too many nodes...
    THe insert query you saw is populating table for table_name and column_name with tag having only ~: in it.
    I hope this gives you the fair idea of stuff I am doing.
