Send e-mail on successful delivery of Message (File to File Interface)

Hey Friends,
We are on PI 7.11. we have a simple File to File interface, we pick up a file from FTP server, do some transformation in PI and send it across to another FTP server. we have a requirement that once the file is transmitted successfully to the receiver FTP server, we should send e-mail to a business user.
I was thinking of adding a e-mail interface in Interface Determination and checking "Maintain Order at runtime". File Interface will be the first and e-mail will be second. In this way if File interface fails, e-mail interface will not be executed.
Will my solution work or is there any better solution to achieve my requirement.

Hi,
Your approach looks perfect...i.e sending of mail once the file has been delivered using EOIO concept...
Only drawback in this approach is the monitoring required for clearing of queues whenenver the error occurs...need some care for clearing of the queues...
you can use the Messaging System EOIO Queue Monitor for knowing the blocked queues or failed queues..for monitoring..

The specific text of the error message is very important here — I'm not sure exactly you're encountering here.
If you're able to connect to your email server and are able send email to other email addresses and if the failures are specific to one email recipient address, then please contact the intended recipient of the failing email, and confirm their address is valid. (This is the way I'm reading your question.)
If you are unable to send any email to any other email addresses and this is specific to your email address, then try the web mail client interface (if one is available) to verify your login user and password, and check with your email ISP for assistance. If your email password works via web mail, follow this Apple troubleshooting guide, then — if everything else fails — I'd probably then entirely remove the email account from Mail.app and re-add it per your email ISP's particular setup requirements. (Some issue with the setup or maybe a corrupt setting in OS X or a problem at the mail ISP servers is a common problem, but this effects attempts to send to all email addresses via that account.)
An email account setup is specific to an email provider, unfortunately. If you're using one of the more common email ISPs, then there are usually setup guides and frequently-asked questions posted online.

How can 1 send a mail in which the content is an image file, by JavaMail?

Mail on successful processing of message in File-XI-JDBC scenario

I am working on File-XI-JDBC scenario. I want a mail to be triggered if the message is successfully processed at JDBC receiver side.
Kindly guide me on how this can be acheived?

Use a BPM.
In the send step that is used to send the message to JDBC, request a Tech Ack.
If positive Ack is returned trigger the email in a separate step.
Check Michal's blog on BPM Acknowledgements that explains this in details.

When i send a mail to the user of messaging server, it returns saying unknown user.

I am trying to add a mail user to iplanet messaging server 5.1, I am able to configure that user from my mail client (outlook) but when i send mail to that user, it returns saying unknown user. I can see that user in LDAP data base/

This could be symptomatic of the iMS 5.1 server not yet having done a full synch to its alias database of the LDAP server. This is done every 24 hours (default) at 2 or 3 am. You can synch manually by running the "imsimta dirsync -F" command.

Acrobat XI Standard "send to mail" option not working after open a pdf file from Mozilla Firefox 35.0.1

I have a strange problem with one user. We use an internal web site where users upload pdf files. Usually other users could open and view the files. What happened since a couple of days. One user uses Acrobat XI Standard to view and edit the files. When he opens the file from Firefox he could edit it/save it and so on but when click on the email button at first the application freeze and after this nothing happens. When he saved the file, opened again and press the email button everything works without any problem. I've already check the settings in the Acrobat about the email client and it is Outlook 2010. Does someone have an idea how to solve it? Thanks in advance

Did you try opening that file in any other browser ?If not ,please try doing that once and see if that works for you.
Try Repairing Acrobat once and see if that helps.
Launch Acrobat>Navigate to Help>Repair Acrobat Installation.

Hi experts
I need to configure a scenario
1. Receive idoc from an SAP system
2. Convert the Idoc into File and Place it in the NFS File directory.
3. On success of the message, I need to mail to SAP Owner regarding the success of the message.
4. On error as well , i need the error details to the SAP Owner.
I had configued all the basic steps in IR. I had struck with the BPM part.
Please suggest with the steps in the BPM.

For sending the mail on success or error in message processing you need to go to the runtime workbench and configure the scenario for mail alerts.
You need to create the alert rules for the success scenario and the failure scenario.
While creating the rules you can specify the message id's to which the mail should be sent.

First of all, before you do any programming, if you want to have your computer send e-mail messages then you must have access to an SMTP server.
Next, if you do have access to one, then JavaMail is a common way to write programs that send e-mail.
As for mobile messages ("text messages" to a cellphone?) you usually need a contract with some phone company to do that, so they can bill you for it.
When you find out about that, they should provide you with documentation on how to proceed. If it involves sending e-mail to a particular address, see part 1 of this reply.

When sending e-mail, a message says that the sent folder is full,-- even though it is not-- however the mail still gets sent. No problem sending mail to myself

I am running Thunderbird version 33.1 Recently, when sending e-mail, I get an error message indicating that the sent folder is full and that I should empty or compress it to fix the problem-- so I emptied it-- problem remains. Also, there is no record of sending the e-mail in the sent folder, even though the mail has been sent. No such problems occur when I send mail to myself.
Any suggestions ???

If you deleted some of the messages you have done one half of the process. Deleting a message just marks it for deletion and hides it from view. You have to COMPACT the folder to actually delete the messages and free up the space.
I agree that Thunderbird did a poor job naming this process because it is the subject of much misunderstanding.

Sending Stationary Mail to non-Mac users

Has anyone experience with sending Stationary mail to non-Mac users? The html files that are created in mac OS X require "downloading" when received on PCs. Does this depend on html friendly servers or some settings? Any suggestions?

Having stationary in e-mail is not a new concept. Microshaft was doing it years ago with Outlook Express. The short answer is that you can send e-mail with stationary to a user on any platform.
The need to download the graphics is purely a client side issue. Automatic downloading of graphics in e-mail is normally disabled by default on most modern e-mail clients.
This is due to the fact that spammers would include a picture in their message that was actually homed on a remote server. Once your machine downloads the remote graphic to display in the message, the spammer knows that your e-mail address is valid.
If your client, regardless of whether you are on Windows, OS X, or even web based, if configured to automatically download graphics then stationary will work.
