I am working in flash chat in that I need font type,size and color for typed text. how to send the html data from client to server and get back for client.

The best solution really depends on the application. I often send the htmlText value of the chat input field instead of the text value. That way, the formatting travels with the message.

How to send HTML as message body using SMTP

I need to send HTML formatted emails. I used the Report Generation Toolkit to build my HTML document and make sure I had all of the formatting right. Then I modified the Save Report To File.vi to also give me the HTML text string on an output connector and I wire this string to the message input on the SMTP Email Send Message.vi.
I receive the email OK, but all I see is the HTML code in the message body. What can I do to make sure that the email displays the message correctly.
I use Outlook and I know it will receive and display HTML emails, I get them all the time.
I would appreciate any help.

it is similar. You must change message MINE content-type to "text/html" type. Because everyone document in email protocol have set MINE content-type. It is inforamtion for email servers and for email cients (Thunderbird, Outlook and etc.)
For sendning mail with attachments you must use and modified "SMTP Send Multiple Attachments.vi" - if you can do backup of this VI and subVIs. Open Diagram of "SMTP Send Multiple Attachments.vi" after "SMTP Send Multiple
Attachments Message.vi" and ther is VI "MIME Send Data Attachment.vi" - have control "MIME content-type" but code from NI don't use it.
And like as my previous message, create new string control "MINE content-type" and take out this control to "main" Email VI.
And embedd
ed file you set up in control-cluster "attachments". I don't test it, but I mind thet must working :-)

Sending HTML Mails using SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1

Dear all,
we were using SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send plain text e-mail replies to participants of an incentive program. Now the customer wants to send HTML mails. Customer has provided HTML templates for the mails, and the text always is the same, only slight changes in regard to the particpants number occur. Has anybody ever performed sending HTML formated mails without using SmartForms?

Need to send HTML table via email

Hi Experts,
I am using the FM EFG_GEN_SEND_EMAIL to send email but unable to send html content through this. I know I could use SO_SEND_OBJECT FM too which automatically sends the email in HTML format but it doesn't have from option(FROM EMAIL ID)
I tired manually chaning the format from RAW to HTM via debugging and then found that its sending the html format email.
Request you to please let me know if we could achieve the same.

Problem in accessing HTML data

Hi Frens,
I m getting some html data from my servlet. But From Server
it is sending the data in html format. There, It is sending the
data in CDATA format. Here I get some problem in displaying the
data in Flex. I have following questions:
1. How can I parse that XML data into HTML data, Since that
data comes from many mail servers, I don't have idea, whether they
are properly formatted or not. I am getting this data in xml
format. How can i convert it back to HTML format?
2. The 2nd Problem is that it may contain some images also,
So will component is suitable for me to display the data? Example
is a mail, If it has some html data, along with images. Which
component is suitable for this?

If I knew a data service was returning HTML to me, I would
use resultFormat="text" and just accept the data as-is. Then you
can assign it to the htmlText property of a TextArea.
The Flash Player has limited HTML capabilities. It can
display images using the <img> HTML tag.
Depending on your needs you might want to look at Apollo
which has an HTML UI component which can display real, complete
HTML.

How to send recomposed data in post method.

Currently, i try to build up MVC user authentication. I used login.html as View, servletA as controller to invoked Model and servletB as Model. The servletB will return queried result to servletA then servletA will decide redirected to specific url.
I has successful use the RequestDispatcher.forward(request, response) to post data from servletA to servletB. whereas i faced a trouble to post data back from servletB to servletA, which i unable put the queried result into request obj before post it back to servletA.
Any genius recommendation about this? or Any method composed data to send via post method?

Here's a quick rundown that might help:
Use request.setAttribute() to put an item in request scope in a servlet before dispatching to another servlet or JSP.
Use <useBean> tag in a JSP to read the data on the JSP that the servlet put in request scope.
Alternatively, you can use request.getAttribute(), but the useBean is preferred.
Use request.getParameter() in a servlet to read data that the <form> tag on the JSP page put in request scope.
Use request.setAttribute() and request.getAttribute() to get send/get data between servlets (it could be request.getParameter(), but I dont think so).
There is a RequestDispatcher.forward() and a RequestDispatcher.include(). I'm not sure what the differences are (you'll have to research it.
In MVC, I have a single servlet for the controller (receive all url's, and dispatch to the appropriate JSP). I dont hava a separate servlet for the model. Instead, I instansiate a business object on the servlet, pass data to it, and let it do the calcuations. Then I have it return the data to the servlet which puts it in request scope for the JSP page when I dispatch to it. My MVC usuallyconsists of:
JSP -presentation layer
servlet - control layer
business logic layer
database layer (DAO).
Each layer does not contain the functionality of one of the other layers (clean separation of concerns).
Last note: Whereas you can use a servlet for the controller, a framework such as Spring or Struts is often used instead.

I also have a copy of send mail package (modified copy of some code that I found on the net). Originally written with utl_smtp. Converted it to utl_tcp. Supports binary file attachments and formatted html messages now.

I want to know how to send and HTML page generated by a servlet into a specific frame of the client browser.

If you are sending the data to the servlet using a form tag, just specify the target inside the form tag and your servlet will display the output in that frame.

Send table data through mail in oracle 10g

I am trying to send a mail through oracle 10g .
I can send mail through utl_mail .
The text that I need to send is data from a table .
The table contains information about all the employees .
Table name is person . If the employee is absent on any day without any reason there would be a row of this employee in the table person.
There is also a column named email in this table .
I need to write a stored procedure which will send the data about each particular employee to their respective email for all the employees in the person table .
Can anyone please help me on this .

Nike+ Sensor & Can't automatically send Workout Data

Hi,
On my old ipod touch I had it set up to automatically go to Nike and update my workouts. Now I'm using a new ipod touch and iTunes Help tells me to :
a) complete a workout -- check
b) connect my ipod to my computer -- check
c) when device appears in iTunes select it and click Nike + iPode button -- check
d) Select "Automatically send workout data to Nike+." -- NOT A CHOICE I CAN MAKE -- I CAN'T FIND THIS CHOICE !!
Has anyone else had this trouble and what's the solution?
I am using the latest software on both the computer & iPod and their is an unsynched workout on my ipod touch.

Hmmm, sounds weird. If someone else has experienced this maybe they will jump in here, but if not, you can always call Nike+. Surprisingly they answer their phone quite quickly.
Anyway, here's my shot at it:
I will assume you have downloaded the Nano updater ( http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/ ).
I would eject and disconnect the Nano (perhaps restarting my computer) and close iTunes, then reopen iTunes, reconnect and see if the box is available.

and don't forget to disable MTOM/XOP support for proxy and business service.
You don't need anything but a base64binary element in your request or response message. That's all. When you turn MTOM/XOP support off, binary data will be inlined.
If you will still face an issue, try to send your WSDL, describe input, output and your proxy flow.

Send audio data over UDP

Sorry for asking a lot of questions, but I'm developing an application in jmf and I don't know so much how it works...
I'm trying to receive rtp data from the network, then uncompress to RAW format (but it has to be coded in some codec like g711, g729 or GSM) and save it into a buffer. For this I'm following the example DataSourceReader. I have attached some things like keep off the rtp header, and save the audio data into a bytebuffer (instead of using the printInfo() method I'm using saveIntoByteBuffer() method).
Another class is sending the data (saved in byteBuffer) over the network (UDP, not RTP-UDP).
And anotherone is receiving this data, and creating a DataSource to play the audio data received.
To do this, I don't know exactly how to do it. I need to create a DataSource like the examples (LiveStream and DataSource from [http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/LiveData.html |http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/LiveData.html] ) or can I do it like JpegImagesToMovie from [http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/JpegImagesToMovie.html|http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/JpegImagesToMovie.html] ?

Sorry if it's an easy question, but I don't understand so much why implementing the 'same' thing (custom DataSource) it's implemented different.They aren't the same thing, actually. DataSource is the parent class, but there are 2 different kinds of DataSources.
A PushBufferDataSource will "push" the data out when it's available to be read. Whenever it decides it has data ready to be read, it informs whatever is reading from it that data is available.
A PullBufferDataSource will not do that. Whenever it has data ready to be read, it doesn't do anything to inform what's reading from it.
The next obvious question is, why does it matter?
PullBufferDataSource's are good for situations where the data is always present. For instance, if you're playing a file from your hard drive, it's better to just let your Player object fetch data when it's needed. There's no need for a "data available" event, because, the data is always available...
PushBufferDataSources are good for situations where data is being generated / received from an outside source. You can't read from it until the data comes in, so rather than blocking and waiting for the read, it'll tell your reader class when to come back for the data.

Sending New Data Into DB

Is there a convenient way to do this ? without having to create things like java classes and actions forms ect because i just want to use the insert to do it.

thanks for the reply. In response to your question, i would ideally like the param.refNo coming from the variable row. I'm not trying to input any data except the drop down menu. What i am trying to hopefully achieve is once i've selected a value from the drop down menu on each row, i want to send back the data in to a new table(the data from the loop), but with the adition of the value being selected in the drop down menu as another column.

Also why would i need the fields to be hidden, i need these fields to be shown so that i can use a drop down menu to allocate a technician to each row.

How the client can send video data of it's camera out without using JMF?

The client A and B don't install the JMF software.How the client A can send video data of it's camera to another client B,when the client A and B login in a web server on which the JMF software has been installed?Off course,all of them have the JRE.
This is my a video exchang software in doing now using JMF technology.I hope every client using the video exchange function need not install the JMF software when the web server have installed the JMF software.

For playing back, may be it is possible to "jar" the jmf along with the application and the upload on the server, then it may recognize all the classes but there can still be problem because JMF depends on many ".dll" files which are stored in System folders, as I have seen. So,........This is correct, mostly. Here goes a captfoss inforant...
JMF is a collection of Java files (jmf.jar) that perform a certain set of functions, and it's also a set of native library files. You can use the Java JMF stuff with web-start, so the clients wouldn't have to have JMF installed to use the Java JMF stuff. The problem with doing this approach, you always have to ask yourself "Can I do what I want to do without the native library stuff?"
To answer this question, it's important to take a look at the JMF supported formats page.

If you look in the column "JMF 2.1.1 Cross Platform Version", it'll tell you what you can do in pure JMF, without any of the native libraries. In the case of capturing data, the only thing you can capture without native code is audio through the JavaSound system.
If you take a look at the RTP formats listed, you'll see a problem...the cross-platform version can't send any kind of video data to itself, which means you'd have to send MPEG1 to a transcoding server to bounce it back to the second client as a JPEG image...and that's if you somehow had the video data you want to transmit, which you cannot get from the cross-platform pack anyway.
