Send XML by HTTP from ext. System to XI and process

Hi XI Experts,
I want to configure a typical XI Scenario. Send XML by HTTP to XI. I know the URL, to send data to my XI test machine.
I'm struggling with the HTTP Parameters and the necessary Configuration in the Integration Directory. In the URL I have to provide for our XI 3.0 machine
service
namespace
interface
Namespace and interface is clear to me, but not the "Service". I know, that the "Service" could be an SLD Business System. In my scenario I don't want to configure all potential senders (e.g. customers) as a business system.
I want to have a "partner" in the Directory. There are partner services and services without a partner. Does someone can provide me the configuration steps. At minimum so that I receive the XI message in the integration engine.
Routing and mapping I will configure. But at the moment I really don't know how to configure the "Service", if I want to use a "Partner" as sender, and not a business system.
Thanks in advance
Klaus
P.S. My configuration scenario is a purchase order from a customer (in XML), which I want to transfer to an R/3 Backend to create a sales order.

Hi Klaus,
Check this SAP help-

In the Service , either you can have Business System created in the SLD or you can create your Own Business Service in the Directory. So create the service and go continue further.

    But later i removed the email address what i entered in WF-BATCH user .Even after removing the email address also iam able to send the mails through workflow.
    So iam confused whether it needs an mail address or not.But now we are able to send a mail to outlook through work flow but not able to send mails to GMAILor yahoo.For that we need to do any settings.

  • Upload Opening balance of G/L accounts from legacy system to SAP, and also

    Hi Gurus,
    How to upload Opening balance of G/L accounts from legacy system to SAP, and also Vendor and Customer balance.
    My Doubt is when you upload the customer balance and vendor balance will it effect the sundry debtor account and sundry creditor account if not the how will the sundry debtor account and sundry creditor account will be posted with the balance. Please send me the general entry passed for posting the same.
    What I understood is that when we are uploading the customer and vendor balances through LSMW, no entry will be passed and it will update the customer and vendor sub ledger in FBL1N and FBL5N but it will not affect the sundry debtor account and sundry creditor account.
    To give effect to sundry debtor account and sundry creditor account we need to manually pass a journal entry as follows.
    1)  Sundry debtors account A/c -
    DR
          TO clearing account A/c
    2)     clearing account A/c -
    dr
         Sundry creditor account A/c
    Please let me know whether iam correct
    Also please tell me what will be the scenario for uploading of the assets balances through LSMW.
    THANKS AND REGARDS
    MV

    Hi,
         When you uploading any data from legacy system to sap normally we will be using LSMW or BDC,thru this we will be uploading master data like G/L,vendor,Customer and asset master these are the some examples and we will upload transaction data also that is P&L Account and Balance sheet.When we do uploading data thru LSMW system will update all the values of vendor,customer and asset values as well as subsidary ledger also.No need to do manully.

    hi Vijaya laxmi,
    you can goto Production system ---> SE38/ SA38 and copy the program and create the same in program using SE38 in Development system  and then transport it to Quality system.
    You can also Re-Import the Request from Production to Dev system.

  • VallueMapping update through HTTP from SAP system

    Good day everyone,
    For two weeks, I have been trying to send xml data from SAP to SAP PI through HTTP. The purpose of this interface is to update the Value Mapping entries in PI from SAP. I know, most of you might tell me to use ABAP proxies to make things more simple and easier. The reason why I did not use ABAP Proxy is because the SAP and SAP PI systems I'm using have different versions. I have SAP Netweaver 7.1 for my PI system and ECC 6.0 for my SAP. I believe it wouldn't be possible to use ABAP/JAVA proxies if the two systems are of different versions.
    Here is what I have so far. I created a program to send an HTTP request using an RFC Destination. I used my own UserName and Password in the logon details in the RFC Destination. I used service adapter_plain. Here is the complete URL: http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/adapter_plain... . I created the necessary objects in Integration Directory and the HTTP sender program. Below, you will see a sample of my payload and the error message I got. Can anyone help me how I could fix this error?

    Of course this works.
    I use APAB proxies with SAP R/3 4.7 to send value mapping data to PI 7.1
    Copy the standard value mapping outbound interfaces to your own SWVC and genearate ABAP proxies for it.

  • Server to Rich Client sending XML over Http

    I need to send XML data from a Servlet to a rich client over http.
    Currently I am using HttpURLConnection and SaxTransformerFactory to do this.
    Is it better to use SOAP or XML-RPC in this scenario?
    Are there any good online tutorials comparing SOAP, XML-RPC and AXP-Java Net API?
    What are the factors that I need to consider for choosing between these alternatives?
    Please advice. Thanks in advance.

    XML-RPC and SOAP use XML as a way to communicate, but they are used to invoke certain function calls in an application independend manner, not to be used to send XML data. So I'd say it depends on:
    a) what do you do with the XML data?
    b) will you be expanding the application?
    c) how difficult is it to rework the current implementation?

  • Send xml with HTTP Sender

    How can I send a xml via HTTP Sender from a Visual Basic 6.0 application? Do I have to use an ActiveX Control to send the HTTP Request with the XML as payload?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ruben.

    Ruben,
    You need to create your interface objects in the integration repository and  setup your interfase using SOAP adapter in the integration directory.
    After that you'll need to publish a webservice using the integration builder objects that you have already created.
    Mount the WSDL into a web server and try to implement a webservice call into your VB  application to invoke the WS.

  • Query regarding sending XML over HTTP Post request

    Hello,
    I am trying to send XML data from a server to client via HTTP Post request
    And vice versa receive the data by a client
    Assume that the xml data looks something like
    <?xml+version="1.0"?>
    So my post query will look like
    http://<IP Address>:<port>/
    POST /MessageReceiver.jsp HTTP/1.0
    Host: www.SomeHost.net
    Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
    Content-Length: 38
    %3C%3Fxml%2Bversion%3D%221.0%22%3F%3E+
    This information will be received by the client and converted back to xml data.
    My query is - is there some library/open-source stuff that
    does the process of transcoding the entity's non-ASCII characters
    at the server side
    and decoding the URL back to human-readable form at the client side?
    i.e. I need a simple mechanism to convert
    <?xml+version="1.0"?>
    to
    %3C%3Fxml%2Bversion%3D%221.0%22%3F%3E+
    at the server side, while sending data
    and do the opposite at the client side to get the xml back.
    Also could some one confirm if JTidy is a right tool to check if the xml is well-formed?
    Or is there any other standard tool that checks for well-formed properties of xml?
    regards,
    Deepak.

    java.net.URLEncoder / URLDecoder?
    Also could some one confirm if JTidy is a right tool to check if the xml is well-formed?No, it's for parsing HTML. An XML parser is checking for well-formedness in any case.

  • How to delete XML Dat Source from BW System

    Hello All,
    How can i delete SOAP XML data source(6A *) from BW System.
    Do I need to delte the generated RFC function module for the data source ??
    Cheers
    POPS

    Hi Sumit Kalyan
    Since your are using process order, I would like to know whether you are using process management function or not.
    (Especially your are following GMP scenario ? This guide line is basically used pharmaceutical industry.
    If you work with GMP scenario, before your are archiving your process order, you need to create electronic batch creation and archiving.
    Then you can archive your process order and delete it completely from your system.
    You can check whether your are using GMP scenario or not in your process order type.
    (T-CD COR4).
    If you are not. All you need to do is set deletion flag and deletion indicator to your process order and then archive your process order (you can use program PRARCHP1) by using archiving object PR_ORDER (you can call this object from t-cd sara or COAC).
    I hope this information help you.

  • PI sheet data from external system for GI and GR

    Hi Gurus,
    I need a help to set up a PI sheet related config (type 2 or 3 of CRD), wherein I will get the GI and GR related information from the external system , eg Bar code scanner and some PC automation etc.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    I am not sure of the usage of the RFC's in this context.
    If you want to read a file from the application server, use the OPEN DATASET, READ and CLOSE DATASET commands.
    You can find more help on this here
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/79/c554dcb3dc11d5993800508b6b8b11/frameset.htm
    You can upload the entire file into a internal table which a a field of string data type and after that loop at the table and process the data according to your logic (Either length delimited, ',' delimited.
    Ig you want to do this remotely, you can put all this logic in the function module and make it remote enabled.

  • Data to be fetched from legacy system to SAP and doc needs to bee posted

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement where my client is using some application in Legacy system(Fuel Software) which receives fuel(Petrol, Deasel, CNG) in system and issue the same to company owned vehicles and wants that sap should be integrated and document also needs to be posted in sap for all the receivings and isssuences against their vehicles.
    Process Designed is:
    1. Required Data file will be picked from legacy system with some date stamp and will be placed in sap directory.
    2. There will be batch job which will check for new file based on date stamp.
    3. Will pick record n will pass to Goods_mvt_create bapi and then will post the document.
    4. We have created Vehicles as Internal orders in sap and whenever any issue will be there internal order no will be captured.
    5. By this way we are receiving and issuing in sap.
    Now my problem is i am stuck in designing step 1 and rest 2,3,4,5 steps have already been designed and working fine. Need your help in step 1. Else you may suggest some better way-out but again want to mention rest steps are already mapped
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi Ashutosh,
    You can use functions:
    FTP_CLIENT_TO_R3
    FTP_COMMAND
    FTP_COMMAND_LIST
    FTP_CONNECT
    FTP_COPY
    FTP_DISCONNECT
    FTP_R3_TO_CLIENT

    FTP_SERVER_TO_R3
    FTP_START_REG_SERVER
    FTP_START_SAPFTP
    FTP_STOP_REG_SERVER
    FTP_VERSION
    which allow you to connect from SAP ERP to any FTP server (if the legacy has it). You can validate the sample program RSFTP007.

  • Doesn't load from source system to PSA and DSO

    Hi Gurus,
    We have launched a Delta load from Source System (POSDM) to DSO. In the source system there are 5000000 rows but none was loaded into DSO or PSA. The delta load was ok, but any data was loaded.
    If the delta  load was lunch again, would be loaded those 5000000 rows. Or those 5000000 rows wouldn't be able to load again.
    Any idea abut this issue? Any feedback will be really appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi David,
    Are you sure this 5 million records are delta records and should be pulled into BW as delta??
    did you count the number of records in the underlying tables??
    which data source you are using??
    Delta loads are suppose to bring the new records or changed records since the last data load and not all the records.
    Since the request is green as you said and still it shows 0 records then it is possible that nothing has changed since last delta.try to see the details of the data load... if it failed...may be thats the reason you are not able to see any records.
    If you schedule the delta again it will bring the records changed or created after last delta.
    If the delta was unsuccessfull then turn the QM status and overall status of request to red manually in the monitor of the request and delete it from PSA and all the targets in which its loaded and schedule the delta again and it should bring the delta.
    Thanks

  • Sending xml over http

    I have a WLS 6.0 servlet that receives XML transactions via a post method.
              Code snippet as follows:
              public void doPost(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res)
              throws ServletException, IOException
              int txContentLength = req.getContentLength();
              //get entire input xml stream and store in a stringbuffer
              InputStream inp = req.getInputStream();
              BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(inp));
              byte[] ba = new byte[txContentLength];
              System.out.println("Reading...");
              int bytesRead = inp.read(ba);
              System.out.println("bytesRead= " + bytesRead);
              while(bytesRead < txContentLength) {
              int moreRead = inp.read(ba, bytesRead, (ba.length - bytesRead));
              if(moreRead == -1)
              break;
              bytesRead += moreRead;
              System.out.println("finished reading buffer...");
              StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer(new String(ba));
              I have a java client on my PC that takes an XML file as input and sends the
              information to the servlet without any problems.
              The problem is a client that is connecting to our network via a T1
              connection. When they send transactions, about 1 out of every 4
              transactions makes it past the "Reading..." statement above. The other
              transactions appear to 'hang' when it hits the inp.read(ba) line above.
              From all indications, that servlet's execute thread appears 'hung' as if the
              inp.read() is waiting forever.
              I've tried using readLine() on the InputStream() and my local client program
              is unaffected - it works OK. The remote client is having problems using
              either method. The only difference I've noted with the remote client is
              that they are using HTTP 1.0 and I'm using HTTP 1.1. Initially, their
              mime-type was null but they've changed it to text/xml and no luck. I've
              even sent them my client code that is working and they are still having
              problems...
              Another strange anomoly is that req.getContentLength() is returning a valid
              number on the transactions that fail. For example, I had some debug code
              that showed the content length and it was always something like 4012 or
              3500, etc. Not -1 as I would expect...
              Has anyone run into this problem with receiving XML transactions?
              Thanks
              Rob Mason

    Thanks for the suggestion - I went back and added a check on the
              contentLength to make sure it had a valid number before trying to call any
              'read' methods... still no luck.
              I did go in and put a try/catch around the read() logic below. The
              exception thrown is an InterruptedIOException. The docs say that this is
              thrown 'to indicate that an input or output transfer has been terminated
              because the thread performing it was terminated.'
              This would seem to indicate that WLS is having the problem - not the client?
              Via the console, under the Configuration section, my HTTP section has the
              following values:
              POST timeout secs: 10
              Max POST time: 10
              Max POST size: -1
              Is there anything else I can try on the server level?
              Thanks

  • How to send XML via HTTPS in Servlet

    I am new to Java. I need to make a servlet which can send a message via HTTPS with a content type of XML to another web server when it is called. each msg is proceeded with a header in the following format:
    requestID=rid&userID=uid&password=mypd
    and a detail information in XML:
    <S_Request>
    <requestControllID>1-rf200</requestControlID>
    <zipCode>99012</zipCode>
    <orderQuantity>35</orderQuantity>
    </S_Request>
    I have basic idea of how to send an http post with parameter string by using the Redirect function but don't know how to deal with the XML detail. Any one has idea about this? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    This is what I did for one of my projects;
    String myXML = "all the xml tags and fields";
    URL url = new URL("https://www.somesite.com");
    HttpsURLConnection connection = (HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection();
    connection.setDoOutput(true);
    OutputStream outXML = connection.getOutputStream();
    outXML.write(myXML.getBytes());
    I think you can add the requestID and all to the begining of the string myXML
    Good luck
