Sender HTTP and validation

Hallo,
we have a HTTP sender to allow partners to send HTTP/XML message. THese messages are converted to IDOCs and are posted to the R/3 system.
HTTP -> IDOC scencario
Until now we have no validation of the incomming XML message.
Goal is not to accept the wrong XML message and to send back a HTTP error code to the sender.
Is it possible to have an adapter module on the planHTTP adapter? As I understood this is not possible???!!!
Is it possible to use the SOAPsender Adapter with the option "No Soap"? I still want to receive HTTP/XML message and I do not want to force my partners to call a webservice.
Can I implement a adapter module in the SOAPsender to return a specific HTTP code if the XML validation fails?
Can this be done only in SYNCHRON mode?
The problem is, the the IDOC to SAP is only asynchron, so do I have to implement a BPM with SYNCH-ASYNCH bridge then?
I know, a lot of questions but all because there is no valiation on XI at the moment.
Best regards
Werner Magerl

Hi,

Yes, this is clear and I have implemented this BPM to cover this SYNC-ASYNC problem. I ecpected here, also, that I can send back a HTTP error code, but the only thing which is sent back is HTTP-200 for ok and HTTP-500 (time out).....
> Even if the XML message
> is valid and Idoc is sent succesfully, are you not

this is the reason, why I try to do this in an adapter module. Because I think, then the HTTP connection is still open and I can send each HTTP code I want before the message arrives in the integration server or in a BPM

no, we wnat to show an error
> 2. Make a synch call and use a BPM, and propgate
> either a success or failure message.
this is also a way we are working on, but here we have the problem of defining the answer message interfaces.
The incomming message is defined by a industry specific XSD and I was not able to enhance this message interface to be SYNCHRON and with ANSWER message.
But if adapter mdouel is not possible we will work on this again.

Why the sender communication channel is not necessary for HTTP and IDOC

    Hi,
Because they lie on ABAP stack ie on Integration Engine...so that they can process directly but other adapter lies on Adapter engine.

  • Sender SOAP and HTTP adatper setting.

    Hi,
I've a scenerio, where I send purchase order(PO) file to external partner via a HTTPS url. I use  receiver SOAP adapter with transport protocol "HTTP", Message protocol "SOAP 1.1" and in the Target URL I use the https://url  also I've the " Do Not Use SOAP Envelope" check box selected in the Conversion Parameters. This scenerio is working fine.
Now the external partner wants to send back the purchse order response (POR) file and he gave the http URL to pick the files. Now the question, Is there a straight simple configuration in sender SOAP adapter or sender HTTP adpter to pick POR
    file(s) from the URL?
Can you please let me know whether is it possible? Any link showing the setup will be helpful.
    Thanks.

what you need is a HTTP GET call which is not supported by the HTTP adapter until PI 7.3

  • Clarification for HTTP and HTTPS Sender Adapter

    Hello together,
after some investigating concering scenarios with HTTP and HTTPS sender there are still some points that are not absolutely clear for me.
I know that it is not necessary to configure an HTTP sender communication channel. However if I want to enforce HTTPS sender communication I think I need to add an HTTP sender communication channel with security settings enabled as well as a sender agreement.
To my understanding these settings are activated on the Adapter Engine (Java Stack), HTTP requests however call the ABAP stack directly. How does this work exactly?
Thank you very much for your additional explanation.

    Hi,
see below is the format for HTTP URL
    http://<hostname:port>/<path>?<query-string>
now query straing can only have values as given in the below link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/64db4daf9f30b4e10000000a11466f/content.htm
a way around can be to specify the payload for &party or &agency or &schema(if you are not using them) but then XI should be able to identify them correctly(which i m not sure how it will do),secondly the length can be a constraint coz if you add the whole payload ,the URL will become really long.
so i would suggest you not to use it but if you really have to,then explore it properly first and then only use
    plz reward points

  • HTTP and RFC Adapter are not Required Sender

    Hi All,
    I have one dought....
Why Plain HTTP and RFC Adapter are not Required Sender Communication Channel and Sender Agreements...
I Know this two Adapter are in ABAP Stack....
    Please clarify my dought...
    Regards

Idoc Adapters do NOT require Sender Communication Channel.
The Sender System identifies itself at the Integration Server, with the fields SNDPOR and Client of the Control Record.
Sender Communication channels are used for communication betweeen the Application System and the Integration Server.
In the case of Idocs, all idocs are tranferred to the Integration Server pipeline and NOT to the regular EDI/IDOC interface.
The RECEVIER DETERMINATION is based on the values in the Control Record.
If you are doing ALE, then you have to maintain the idoc types which are NOT to be transferred to the Integration server by executing report IDX_SELECT_IDOCTYP_WITHOUT_IS.
By maintaining the Idoc Types using this report, only these idoc types are sent to the regular EDI/IDOC interface.

    Hi there
I’d be happy to help with this messaging error! This will be due to the device storing the number incorrectly. Please do the following to resolve the issue:
Delete texts from both old number and new
Delete any call logs including these numbers
    Delete old number from contacts
    Delete new number from contacts
    Restart device
Send text to the new number directly (do not save as contact)
Once the text sends successfully, you can then save as a new contact
    I hope this helps!

  • Send data via HTTP and wait 10 Seconds before sending next Message

    Hi Folks,
I am doing an IDOC - XI - HTTP scenario.
after sending a message via the HTTP-receiver I have to wait up to 10 Seconds, before my partner accept the next Message.
Is there a way to configure the HTTP-receiver to wait?
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
You can use ccBPM for this scenario.
    Scenario 1 :
1 IDOC contains multiple records, so you can convert to multiline items.
Loop base on the multiline items (Block Step).
Send Step for sending http request.
wait step to wait for 10 seconds.
    Scenario 2 :
1 IDOC contains only single record. so you need to collect the IDOC until certain time.
Loop base on the multiline items (Block Step).
Send Step for sending http request.
wait step to wait for 10 seconds.

  • Configuration SAP EP systems in HTTPS and SSL

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me the regarding the configuration SAP EP systems in HTTPS and SSL.
The scenario is  Client -->Application gateway( Web Dispatcher) -->EP6
    Regards,
    Moulinath Ray

    Hi,
I am giving to you the steps we do for our securization (EP 7.0):
    Prerequisites:
-Download SAP Cryptographic ToolKit at http://service.sap.com/ swdc and -> SAP Crypto-graphic Software -> SAP JAVA CryptoToolkit (J2EE Engine as of Release 6.30)
    -Unzip it with SAPCAR
Logon in SDM and deploy the file
    Check in Visual Admin -> Dispatcher/Server -> Libraries -> core_libs iaik_jce.jar is included
Loof for SSL Service in Config Tool in Server and Dispatcher, it should be "always"
    Steps:
    -Asking for a certificate
    Visual Admin -> Cluster -> Server (central instance ) -> Services -> Key storage -> Service_ssl -> Create
Fill in all the data, and be careful with the common name:
-It shouldn´t have "http" or "https" on it
-It shouldn´t have port number on it
    For example: "https
www.myportal.domain:port", the common name should be "www.myportal.domain"
Visual Admin -> Key Storage -> service_ssl -> Select your certificate and u201CGenerate CSR Requestu201D
Send the file to a CA
    -Importing the validated certificate:
Visual Admin -> Key Storage -> Import CSR Response
In each Server, under SSL Provider, assign the certificate to port 50001, in each Dispatcher
Now, the portal is secure, and you can check it now.
A last step would be export the certificate and send it to your Network Team, so they can export it in the load balancing server, reverse proxy, etc.

  • UCCX8.5 send HTTP trigger? for another server application

We have an Outage Management System (OMS) that will accept an HTTP string that creates a new outage record. So, if I enter the included example into any browser window in our network, it will create a new OMS record.
For customers dialing into our phone system, I want them to be able to "report" an outage by building this http string and sending it to our OMS server.  I have a script that prompts the caller for their account number.  I need to add this account number onto the end of the http string (in the example, $CustomerAccount), and then send this string to a browser to create a new OMS record.  The HTTP string:
    //OMSServerName/outage/main/xdoReqHandler?beanName=AutomatedDevice&methodName=get&accountNumber=$CustomerAccount
can someone explain to me if any of the Http Contact steps would be able to do this?  In my attached script, I have tried using the Http Redirect step.  My resulting error is:
Am I using these steps as designed? (with the error - apparently not).

    Brian,
I was able to make your recomendation work out.  thank you.  I used my HTTP string with a fixed Account Number value and it generated a new record in our OMS server!  Just what I wanted.  My next step is to use a variable for the Account Number so I can capture it from my scripting.  can you comment on how a variable string may be used in your example?  here is what I have so far:
(I have changed the OMSServerName and Account Number as obscure to protect my records)
with an actual IP, and valid account Number in the set statement, the resulting message in the sendHTTPString name:
    U"\r\n  \r\n    \r\n      Account number invalid\r\n      \r\n    \r\n  \r\n"
Again, if i input the account number inside the docURL variable instead of the $CustomerAccount it works!  The $CustomerAccount is not getting translated in this environment?
Here is the variable name and value when I debug the script:
Should I expect to see the actual account number in this value?
    thank you for the help
    -Wes.

For many of my scenarios, the Sender Interface, sender namespace and receiver Interface, receiver namespace  information gets interchanged and displayed incorrectly.
    But sometimes its working fine.
When we analysed the Log messages, found that, after xml validation step, the sender and reciever interface gets interchanged.
    Any idea why this happens?
    How to rectify this error?

  • Why we dont need sender agreement and comm channel in IDOC to file scenario

    Hi,
    there are 2 queries:
    first query :
Scenario is "Idoc to file transfer"
why we dont need sender agreement and communication channel for IDOC to file ,while we do need
both of these for "File to RFC "
Answer : which i got is because IDOC sits at ABAP stack but same is valid for RFC also.
Then why For "IDOC to file" we dont need that.
    Second query:
Also when i did scenario for File1-RFC-File2 scenario using BPM i have created a interface
between XI-RFC synchronous to send data which we got from file1 in XI to RFC importing parameter
and getting data from RFC back to File2.
Here in IDOC to file scenario why we dont need any interfface for IDOC-XI Asynchronous.

    Dear All,
For file to idoc scenario is there any possibility to get line items details or xml details i.e the segments and its related field details using reference id, transaction id or interface name or message id in SAP PI 7.0. I know we need to click each and every message in sxi_monitor and look for details.
For SAP(R3 System) I can create a report and set the job for specific time period so automatically it throws the details(like reference no, document date, invoice no from) in ftp path as .csv file. The same ftp path is maintained in program.
I wanted to check FTP--->PI postings and I have set the job at r3 system it is working fine and Im monitoring it too.
Now the end to end scenario is FTP--->PI--->ECC(R3 system). Please help. Many Thanks.

Entered all required parameters and entered XMl Payload with the option "Insert Payload as Text"
The scenario in XI has Integration Process and the first step is a Sync-Async step.
The message execution fails in that step with status "Pipeline Timeout"
I can see only half of the xml payload in sxmb_moni.
There are no short dumps and the Integration Process is working fine when I send messages using HTTP client.
Let me know if there are any checks for tracing the problem.
